E mail. I can not send email to a contact from my list. When I hit their email address, the new message box comes up but the send icon is not highlighted and I can not send it. Why? How do I fix it. Happens on both I pad Air 2 and I Phone 5
WWhen I press the email of a contact, the new message box appears with the address but the send icon is not highlighted. Even after typing a message, I can not send it. This is on both I Phone 5 and I Pad Air 2. this just started and not sure what I did. Help please?

Why can't you turn off the new message indicator on any of the blackberry devices?
i can't believe that i cannot turn off having my blackberry notifiy me when i get an email. at the top of the homescreen i either get a "Message Count" or if I turn this off i get the little red asterik alert folder appearing, plus the mail icon gets a red asterik on it. i don't want to see this and i know that many other users feel the same way.
has anyone figured out a way to turn this off? if not, how can we let blackberry know they need to fix this in future models? there are message boards all over the internet with this same complaint.
a little more background:
- the issue is on a saturday afternoon when i grab my phone to make a call, i don't want to see a little red asterik notifying me that i have a new message. i also don't want to see a running count all the time.
- i tried turning off the data plan part so new messages wouldn't reach me, but the problem with that is when i later turn the data plan back on, the new messages are not then sent. they never each my phone. seems the server tries sending them once and if the data plan is turned off they don't make it, but never make it.
i hope someone at blackberry reads this and they make this simple change in a future model. i'll upgrade to it immediately when they do. i love the device but hate being constantly reminded of new messages.Hi dplindsey, and welcome to the foams!

Here's the deal, Turn off all the notification, ring tones, led''s for emails.
Go to the main homescreen and hit the menu key twice select make a folder.
Go to your main message queue icon, highlight it and press menu, select MOVE.
Move the Icon in to folder. TA DA! It's GONE
Data plan is good so you can still browse the web. Emails are stil getting delivered so you arent missing any.

Can I move the new message box out of the way?
Once I click "new message," I can't move it out of the way. I often want to see if there was another person in the CC field that I need to copy. But instead I have to either save the message as a draft or copy my message, close the window, look, then open it back up. That's not cool.
Having the same frustration, and I agree XarBiogeek's answer is helpful. (And BTW, your message drops to the background when you return to fullscreen, but it's not lost. Just exit fullscreen again.)
I'm hoping this bug gets fixed (and, no flaming me please, it IS a bug). It's not just that the New Message window freezes in placement and size; it doesn't even let you save a draft so you can do other Mail tasks. In fullscreen you have to send or discard the new message before performing any other task. (NONE of Mail's menu options function when in fullscreen with a New Message window open.)
I don't know about others here, but the only way I've been able to save a draft (before this thread helped me get out of fullscreen) was to Copy the contents of my in-progress message and discard the window, pasting my content back into a new window when done with my other Mail tasks. -
It appears that you can not browse the catalog by release date or see all the new additions to the catalog.

Is this a POP account, or an Exchange account? It's probably not a problem with Mail, but more likely your Preferences are the culprit.
Check Mail Prefernces > Accounts > Account Information to see if there's an entry for the Outgoing Server, or if None is chosen. If none is chosen, you'll need to enter the SMTP server for that email account and then try it again; that should resolve the problem.
You should also use the Connection Doctor to see what it says: Window > Connection Doctor.

A few days ago I was stupid and tried the Master Password option. Now it will not allow me to remove it! I follow the process but when I submit the master password for removal the 'remove' button is dead. Only the 'cancel' option is active.

My PB G4 is full charged and when i go to turn it on The HD spins but and the Start up sound Verifys that it came on but the is nothing on the screen untill a flash of white square like appers on the screen for about half a second. I don't Know whats wrong

Open windows Control Panel, open Internet Options, click the Security tab and click Custom Level. About half way down, under the heading Miscellaneous, there is an entry for 'Display Mixed Content' - click Enable and then Ok, then click Apply and Ok in the previous window.

When I send emails using my iPad, some recipients are telling me that I am sending them blank emails. I've had some of them forward the emails back to me so I can take a look and it seems that my message is actually there but the text is white. Interestingly enough, I was a Windows user just a few months ago and I was on the receiving end of this same problem with someone who was sending emails from her iPhone. I don't believe it is happening every time but if it happens even once it's a problem. Any idea what's going on?
Oddly enough, having reported the problem it appears to have fixed itself. There may be some combination swipe gesture that triggers it is all I can think because I suddenly manged to zoom my display x3 by double tapping three fingers. Took me a while to sort this out but then when I got back home I could suddenly see all my emails again. Bizarre!

I cannot email photos from within iPhoto (v. 9.5.1). When I hit send I get a message: "Your email did not go through because the server did not reply." This happens for both my iCloud account and my Shaw account. What to do???
Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts? If so:
1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane. This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary. -
OE is set as my default email in both Firefox and Windows XP. When I click on an email address on a website within Firefox the OE page comes up but the OE New Message window does not open. When I go to the same webpage using MS Explorer and click on the same email the OE New message does open. Is there a bud in Firefox that prevents the OE New Message from opening? Is there a way I can fix it?

Some of the songs I bought from iTunes will not sync to my iPhone. They show up on my phone, but the letters look faed and I can't play them. How do I fix this? I tried restoring my iPhone and it didn't work.
