E-mail not being pushed

I see this topic has been addressed with other phones, but since converting to the cloud my e-mail is either not being pushed or is severly delayed. I am using mobile me, with iphone 4 and i cloud. Was having no issues prior to using "the cloud". Any ideas ? thanks in advance

Push mail does'nt work since 2012/05/24 7.00 PM HAEC in France for me. I've 3 accounts and I'm an original MobileMe user.
I tried all the solutions on this bord. Nothing happen.
I called Apple support, for us iCloud is functional.
Push mail on iCloud is only functional if you're a new member not an older MobileMe.
You can test this by creating a new iCloud account, push mail is functional.
The problem comes from Apple.
Apple must solve this problem quickly.

  • ICloud mail not being pushed to iOS devices

    Hello there,
    I've been having an issue with receiving new iCloud mail messages on my iPhone and iPad. They are not being automatically pushed to my iOS devices. They arrive normally to my MacBook and iCloud.com.
    I've tried the steps on the offical support page and it recommends deleting the iCloud account and then readding it.
    My question is:
    If I do this, will all my photos automatically redownload to the 'My Photo Stream' album in Photos?
    Thanks.

    No, only photos from the last 30 days will be redownloaded; older photos are no longer in iCloud and will be lost.  If you want to save your photo stream photos save them to your camera roll first (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).

  • Mail not being pushed to iphone until I click on mail

    it's only recently started doing this, but emails aren't automatically being pushed to my iPhone unless I click on the mail icon.
    I've checked to see that emails are to be pushed in the settings.
    and I don't know if this is related, but I'm also receiving the error message "message could not be sent to the trash" much more frequently...those two issues seem to coincide
    any ideas, O experts?
    Patrick

    Is the account an Exchange account, a MobileMe account, or a Yahoo account that was created on the iPhone with the Yahoo account preset? If not, the account does not support Push access for received messages. Fetch only - automatically or manually.
    If an account that supports Push access for received messages, who is the email account provider for the account? More than likely the problem lies there.
    If the account does not support Push access for received messages - Fetch only, automatically or manually, try deleting and recreating the account on your iPhone.

  • Mail not being pushed to iphone

    I just bought an iPhone 4s yesterday and have not been able to automatically receive my emails yet. I have to manually open the mail icon for the mailboxes to refresh each time. I deleted my email accounts and replaced them on my phone, but the problem still exists. This is quite frustrating as I am not going to manually check for emails all the time!

    what account are you using.
    have you set it to push in notification?

  • Mail not being pushed after upgrading to iPhone 4S

    Ever since upgrading from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S last week, my iCloud email doesn't get pushed to my iPhone anymore. I have to manually go into mail and wait for mail to check.
    No settings were changed and I setup the phone from a backup of my iPhone 4 that had no problems with push email.
    Both phones running iOS 5.01
    Thanks for your help

    Try the following:
    Go to Settings > iCloud and turn mail OFF
    Do a hard reset of the phone (hold the home and power buttons at the same time for about 6-8 seconds until the phone restarts - release the buttons when the Apple logo appears)
    Go to Settings > iCloud and turn mail ON

  • TS4083 Mail not being pushed to all devices

    iCloud mail was syncing nicely to my three devices (iMac and MacBook Air running Mt. Lion and iPhone running iOS7) but since Mavericks was released, mail is no longer pushed to the MacBook Air. All Apps and OSs are up to date. Resetting iCloud on the Air didn't help. Any suggestions?

  • Yahoo mail not being pushed to iphone.

    I have the first gen phone with 2.0 update. Since then i do not get my yahoo email pushed to my phone. It says connecting at the bottom and has been for a few days and thats all. Anyone else having this problem and any ideas how to fix it?

    Skydive: You are not alone. There are a bunch of threads out there on how to fix & improve the USB sync. I finally gave up, and am darned close to opting out for the Samsung BlackJack II my IT department wants me to have.
    Many of the threads (here is one: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=7769870#7769870) talk about removing all Apps, doing a full Restore, and then slowly building the phone back up as a solution. It seems that if you interrupt a sync, your backup files can get corrupted and make things a mess. People appear to have take 3hr syncs and reduced them to 10mins by following this process.
    For me, even a 10min sync is unacceptable. My crappy old BB 7100g could sync my 6,000 contacts and 5 years of calendar in about 120 seconds.

  • Where clause one query not being pushed down

    I am having a problem where I cannot get a certain "optional" parameter to be pushed down to a query. The parameter gets applied in memory after the result set is returned but not pushed down to the DB. The function is as follows:
    declare function getFoo($key as xs:string, $optinalInput as xs:string*) as element(b:bar)*
    for $foo in f:getFoo()
    where $key = $foo/key
    where not(exists($optinalInput)) or $foo/optional = $optinalInput<- does not get pushed down to the query
    return $foo
    If I make optinalInput an xs:string instead of xs:string * and the optional parameter will get pushed to the query. The problem is for this optional parameter I could get anywhere from 0-50 in the sequence. Seems like when the parameter is a sequence it doesn't get applied to the query. Is there any way around this?

    Mike,
    I understand the difference between * and ? and I was one of the people working on the "string-length not getting pushed" problem so I am very familiar with it. I tried you solution that you mentioned below and it still did not push the where clause to the query. I know I could achieve this with an ad-hoc query but I wanted to do a pure xquery implementation of this component because of the benefits it could have when interacting with other components in our ODSI project...such as SQL joining and potentially pushing additional where clause down from components that call this component. The only way I did get this to kind of work is to do this:
    return
    for $o in $optinalInput
    for $foo in f:getFoo()
    where $key = $foo/key
    where $o = $foo/optional
    return
    $foo
    for $count in 1
    where not(exists($optinalInput))
    for $foo in f:getFoo()
    where $key = $foo/key
    return
    $foo
    By putting the optional parameter into a FOR statement above the table call it guarantees that at least one will exists and that's why the optional parameter gets pushed properly to the DB with a parameterized query. The problem with this is that even though a parameterized query gets pushed it will call the SQL statement multiple times!...not good.
    Another solution that was suggested to me would be to create the number of sequences for each item in the sequence and treat each item as it's own. For example if you know that the schema limits the sequence from 0..50 then you could make 50 items and 50 where clauses....probably not an optimal solution either but it would achieve properly pushing the where clause tot he DB.
    For now I am satisfied with this optional parameter not being pushed to the DB because the performance was still good but it would be nice if there was a maintainable pure xquery solution to this problem.
    Thanks for the help it's always appreciated!
    Mike

  • Rules in Mail not being applied after Mavericks update

    Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of threads already discussing similar issues, but so far I've been unable to find one that helps resolve my particular issue. Ever since upgrading to Mavericks my rules are not being applied in Mail. I will give you a screenshot of one of my rules:
    I have about five rules that follow the same pattern: search for particular string in the FROM field and mark it with a color if the string is present. These rules all worked fine in Snow Leopard. All of my rules are still present after the upgrade and all checked as active. When I "select all" messages in my inbox and press Option-Cmd-L the rules are applied properly. However, the rules are not applying themselves when new mail comes in. As far as I can tell this does not have anything to do with the mail not being recognizes “as a new message” like, for example, because the mail was already read on my phone. It happens even if my other devices are offline and the only thing I am using to check mail is my laptop.
    I am using a MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core Duo with OS X 10.9.1, in case that matters.
    Thanks for any advice!

    I think I've found at least a partial solution to the Mail - Rules Don't Work problem:
    In "Mail" go to the menu Mailbox and click on Rebuild.
    If you have a lot of stuff, this will take several minutes to finish.
    I also reviewed all my rules and made a few minor changes.
    Mixed results:  I found that running "Apply Rules" didn't work on email already received; but new mail did.  I don't quite understand that, but I call it a partial success.

  • Solved Problem - mail not being sent and kept in Outbox....

    I've posted a few messages here about mail not being able to be sent and kept in the Outbox.
    It is solved. I believe.
    Everything seems to be back to normal. I guess it was a problem of me over stepping limitations for .Mac e-mail, and getting locked out for a 24 hour period. So, I will be more care next time I need to e-mail large files to numbers of people ! Probably will invest in something like Stuffit and use there compression facility to reduce the size of files I want to send over the internet and via e-mail.
    Thanks to those who took interest and gave advice.

    You don't have to invest in Stuffit.
    Built-in compression is included with the Finder.
    To compress files before sending them, use the Archive command in the Finder's File menu. Select the file or files you want to compress, then choose File > Create Archive.
    A compressed archive of the files is created. If you archive a single item, the archived file has the name of the original item with a ".zip" extension. If you archive multiple items at once, the archived file is named Archive.zip.
    Recipients can open the archive by double-clicking regardless the platform - Windows or OS X.

  • Mail not receiving pushed emails

    Been having some problems receiving mail from my mobile me account via Mail. I have "check for new mail" set to "Manual". I will only receive email if Mail is not hidden or if i click on the inbox. In other words emails aren't being pushed to Mail. However, if I have Mail open and it is currently selected (topmost application) the mail will be pushed and I will receive it automatically even on manual mode. I am running version 3.5. Note that my email is pushed flawlessly to my iPhone. Anyone else experience this problem. Thanks

    I'm experiencing the same problem too.

  • Email not being pushed after 5.1 iOS

    I noticed today for whatever reason, my emails are not automatically being pushed to my phone, unless I stay on the mail app. Iphone 4 with iOs 5.1 Exchange Email, Hotmail, and iCloud all exhibit the same behavoir. If mail is mimized it won't send, but if I go in and kill the mail app, then it pops up with notifications and emails just fine.

    Been battling this since the update myself - finally found the problem. It's not a bug.
    Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch New Data -> Advanced -> iCloud -> Change to "Push".
    I have always received my emails automatically from iCloud, or they were always "Pushed" to me. For some reason, after updating to iOS 5.1, this setting was changed. It took me a while, but I finally found the problem. All emails are coming automatically now.
    Hope this helps!
