E-mail notification problem...................

hi friends, i have a nokia 5235 touchscreen, which i bought a few days ago, it came with pre installed nokia e-mail application, i set up 2 mail accounts and everything was working fine, it always showed notification on my home screen but for 2 days it is showing a blank bar on my home screen at that place of e-mail notification, whenever i click on this bar nothing happens, i have checked all the settings also like home screen theme settings, e-mail notification is on, nokia e-mail app. settings are ok too, and i have also tried doing on-off my phone many times and removed battery a many times................. can anybody help......... I think my Sony Ericsson was better.....................................

I'm also using 5235 and facing the same problem.
I tried the hard reset but after 10-12 days, the same problem occurs again.
Please anybody help otherwise,everytime i face this problem, i have to set the home screen mode to Basic in which there is no Email nortification.
Please help guys!
Also there is no latest firmware available for Nokia 5235.
The nokia 5230 and 5233 are being updated regularly and both have got 2-3 updates but 5235 hasn't got any update!

E72 - E-mail notification Problem - I got no notif...

I´ve just got an E72. I set up my professional e-mail account via nokia messaging on the website http://email.nokia.com/account/home.action, as is says this would work as push e-mail.
The messages really arrive almost instantly to my device (it took 30 seconds on average on the tests I made), but the problem is the following: I get no notifications (light, sound, vibration) when the emails arrive.
I´ve already tried modifying all setting I could find, but I’ve not managed to set the phone to notify me when a new e-mail arrives.
I would like the following:
In Normal Profile - sound, vibration and light
In Silent Profile - light and vibration
Can anyone help me? (my current settings are on the attached file).

While I agree that there are software issues with E72 (I own one for 4 days now), its also to do with its poor (read no) documention.
As for this issue of no notifications, even I was annoyed till a while back. Here's what I did to solve it:
1. Go to 'Email' -> Settings -> Global Settings -> Home Screen
2. 'Mailbox' would be containing 'none'. Select the mail account of your choice and add it here. You may have to do it for all your modes (Business and Personal) if you want notifications for new mails. This will add your Email Account to the Home Page of E72.
3. To add another account for enabling notification, add that account to the 'Secondary' tab on the Home Screen page. Unfortunately, only two email accounts can be added to Home Screen.
You should now get notifications for all the accounts that show up on the Home Screen.

Mail Notifications problems

I have two problems with notifications from Mail.app under 10.8.
1. When new mail arrives, I get a notification banner. However, although I have Notifications set to show the last 20 messages, these are not preserved in the Notification Center window. How can I get them to stick around, so that I can check the messages associated with recent mail without going to Mail.app? And is there any way to tweak the amount of time these banners stick around? They seem to disappear very quickly, and I'd like them to stick around for, say, 30 seconds or a minute before disappearing.
2. I have Notification Center set to play a sound when new mail arrives. I only get notifications for new messages in Inbox (messages diverted to other mailboxes do not trigger these, which is the behavior I want). However, this results in a problem: if I set Mail.app to play "no sound" for new mail, I get no sound when I get a notification, either. If I set a sound to play for new mail in Mail.app, that sound plays for any new mail, including stuff in all of the mailboxes I don't want to hear about (Spam, as well as topical mailboxes where I'm content to have stuff just filed until I feel like looking at it). Is there any way to get a sound to play exactly when new mail arrives in my Inbox?
Yes, these are trivial issues, but solving them would improve my Quality of Life ... :-)

However, I don't know the solution for the special characters.

Mailer Notification Problem

We have eBS R12 on AIX 5L
We have set up the Mailer Config for the the server as well as the Apps.
When we receive mails from the workflow alert, we get garbage.
We have clients on Windows XP , the MS Office is 2007.
When we change the encoding of the mail received from the eBS alert
in Arabic, we have to change it to Arabic (ISO) each time.
because mails from eBS alert are in Western
Other Arabic mails are in UTF 8 or Arabic (Windows).
Which can be read with no issues.
Anybody came across such an issue??!

after upgrade phone works good and problem is when i get new mail to my phone.
unread mail icon round blue icon its not showing. showing that i have read all the mails ..hope u understand my problem

New Mail Notification Problem

Hello. When I receive new email on my Q10, the LED starts flashing and I hear the audible tone. However, the email icon and the Hub icon do not always show the red star. This problem seems to be completely random. I have been unable to determine any specific conditions that cause it to happen. I would say it happens roughly 25 to 30% of the time. I have gone back to my carrier and they were unable to determine the cause so they exchanged the phone for me. It still happens on the new one so I have to assume this is a software issue. Is anyone aware of this and is it going to be fixed in a future software update?

New Mail notification problem on iPhone

I've noticed lately that when I get an email (mobileme account) it stays as "new" on my iPhone even if I've looked at it on my mac. Only when I open the mail app on my iPhone does it update. It didn't always do this, so I don't know why it's happening. I have my mobileme account set to push. Any ideas?

No new mail notification in Outlook - CAS Exchange RPC Client Access problem

Hi, we're facing this problem:
Users start complaining they suddenly don’t receive new mail notifications in Outlook (2010/2013) anymore
Inbox does not show the new mail either
When the user changes folders in outlook, the new mail does show in the Inbox folder
Restarting Outlook shows the new mail as well.
The same new e-mail arrives instantly (with notifications) in Owa and on mobile devices
Sometimes the new mail notification pops up after a longer period of time (from 30 seconds to 10 minutes). But more often not at all.
This issue seems to occur at random. We’ve been problem free for a week, and sometimes it comes back three times a day.
Clients running Outlook 2010, 2013 cached or online, on site and off site. So it seems server related, not client.
It was seen first around January 8th. We did not make any changes around that time that we can link to this problem.
Only one CAS server (EXCH1-RTD) shows this issue. CAS servers on other sites are ok
EXCH1-RTD has CAS and HUB transport roles. The same site has two mailbox only servers. EXCH2-RTD (mailbox server for normal mailboxes). And EXCH3-RTD (mailbox server for archive mailboxes)
No entries in the event logs that seems to be related
As the problem only occurs with Outlook clients, I suspected RPC issues. We cannot gracefully stop the “Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access” service on EXCH1-RTD while the issue occurs. We
can only kill the process and restart the service, solving the issue instantly.
What we’ve tried until now:
Updated all Exchange servers from Exchange 2010 SP3 RU6 to RU8-v2 (server OS=W2K8R2)
Updated all Exchange servers to latest critical Windows updates
Recalculated requirements using MS Sizing tool. Upgraded EXCH1-RTD VM from 8GB and 2 vCPU (1 core/cpu) to 16GB
and 4vCPU (1 core/cpu)
Ran various perfmon counters and compared them with other Exchange servers, not finding any obvious anomalies.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ron,
From your description, OWA works well, the issue is related to Outlook side. In your case, I recommend you use Outlook safe mode to determine whether the issue is related to add-ins. If the issue persists, you can create a new profile to check the result.

Problem with voice mail notification after 8107.79...

i have a nokie lumia 800 and there was an update of the OS to 8107.79 from une, when i updated my phone, there were problems i have encountered, first was the voice mail notification. I did not subscribe myself to my network providers voice mail service (since they dont have that service as well) but there was a notification on my phone about a voice mail to which i wonder how did i get a notification when i dont even have a voice mail account.
Second was the lights at the three buttons below the screen, it does not illuminate on most of the time.
Has anyone encountered these problems?

Not sure about the voicemail thing but 8107 shouldn't affecting the buttons at the bottom of the phone that issue arose afte 1500 firmware update from Nokia.
If you have your display set to auto then the the buttons will light up normally.

IOS 6 Mail notifications in the Lock Screen Problem

I am fresher in BPEL world, I am trying to send a notification mail to user using BPEL process. I had done all the configuration needed for mail notification process given in the developer guide.
I am able send a notification mail to intended recipent and also able to receive response activity from the BPEL process.
but, I am getting the following error in the server console.

Battery dishcarge very fast - all the app. closed etc: 3G, Push Mail, Notification, Locator still the same problem.

My Iphone 4 battery incation show 100% and all the application etc. 3G, Push Mail, Notifications, Location Services closed but the battery will discharge
very fast. After 5 minutes battery indication will showed 98% without using anythings. Battery cycles already make 2 to 3 times still same.

I had the same situation. I purchased a new phone from the local store earlier in November, but the production week indicated June. Battery was completely dead, and it took quite a while to activate.
My battery usage life has barely been able to top 4 hours before shutoff.
If you schedule an appointment, they will be able test your battery.
One suggestin that might work. Reset and retore as a new phone instead of off your 3G backup. This works for some (but not for me).
I will be checking back to get a new phone I think.

Syncing Mail Notifications Between Mac and iPhone

I been having this problem with the mail notifications not syncing between the Mail.app on my MacBook Pro and iPhone. Let me explain:
When I get a new email, I hear the sound and see the red notification icon appear on both the MacBook and the iphone. When it comes to checking the new email, here are the two possible scenarios:
a) If I check the new email on my phone, the red notification icon disappears from BOTH the iphone and the MacBook.
b) If I check the new email on my MacBook, the red notification disappears from the MacBook but DOESN'T disappears from the iPhone (that is until I open the app). This happens with both cases, when the app is "running" in the background or when it is complety closed.
I don't know if I am crazy but I am pretty sure that both of the notifications used to disappear before, no matter where I checked the mail.
I tried deleting and creating the email again on my phone, and it didn't work.
Here some info that could help find a solution:
- I'm using icloud email (@me.com)
MacBook
-Mountain Lion
iPhone:
- iOS 6 (this problem started before the upgrade)
- Push is on.
- Fetch (that suppodselly would be used only if push is off) is set to Manually.
- On the "Advanced" sub-menu inside the Mail settings, Push is also selected.
Hopefully this can actually be fix and I can prove myself that I was not crazy!!

Anyone find a fix for this problem? I've been waiting for this since notification syncing was announced a couple years ago with iOS 6. I use iCloud for my email and find it very frustrating that when I read an email on my Mac or on iCoud.com that it doesn't automatically dismiss the notifications for those emails on my iOS devices until I open the mail app on each iOS device. Notification syncing works great with other apps. With iMessages, for example, when I read a message on my Mac running Yosemite, the notifications disappear on my iOS devices without opening the messages app (badge app icon, home screen notifications and notification center). Why can't they figure this out with email? I remember at my old job, I had an exchange account that properly synced mail notifications between devices, but it has never worked with my iCloud email. I wonder if I am just missing a particular setting or if Apple just blew it here. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i'm downloading all the files you advised and one more doubt regarding SOA installation,
i'm using BPEL Process manager 10.1.3.1.0 installed on my machine and not installed SOA Suite (problem in installing AS Middle tier), i send voice,sms through BPEL PM which works fine, and faced problem in e-mail notification only, according to me with out installing SOA suite we can use BPEL PM or please let me know the procedure to install the downloading files.

I am facing problem with the automatic mail notification in service desk configuration.
When i create a support desk message in the satellite system, the message appears in crn_dno_monitor in solution manager. When i change the status of the message from new to in process, i get a mail only with the subject line "MESSAGE IN PROCESS STATUS' and the pdf attachement (sapscript) is missing. I have checked all the configurations in SPPFCADM but i am not able to figure out the problem. Please help me out of this problem.

there is a SAP Note with a tutor for send_mail via action. See Note 691303 and the attached .zip-file.
It shows step by step how to set it up and is a very good tutorial. You'll need additional (free) software to let it run.

@Sowmya: what content does the mail have? None? There is a possibility in SolMan where you can choose whether you want the content as a .PDF-Attachment (which, in my eyes, isn't that sparkling) or as regular mail text.
It is located in TA SCOT. Double klick on "SMTP", then klick on "Internet" and there choose in the Drop Down Menu of Sapscript. When you have trouble, look at my [screenshot|http://home.arcor.de/dirk.malas/solman/Mail_TXT_PDF.JPG].
