E-mail on Collaboration Team Room

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to have a group email that can be opened on a team room?
What I mean is, instead of using forums an email is configured for each team room.

Regarding Collaboration Team room group getting stored in LDAP

i have a requirement to met at earliest .
Presently we are running with EP 7.0 SP 17 with MSADS as UME datasource.
Requirement is that collaboration team room are getting stored in LDAP directory in mass.
i have to store collaboration room groups in portal database and should not travel into Active Directory Groups.

Folder Creation in Team Room

Hi,
I have created one team room for my project. After that i created the folder inside that but again when i try to create a new folder inside the folder which i just created, i am not able to create the folder inside the folder.
Can any one help me out to tell that why this is happening? How can it be resolved?

Hi manish,
It depends on the content store you have defined.
One work around is if you have content admin access for time being, do this
KM->room structures->(your room name)->Documents->(click on the parent folder you created using the collaboratio gui)->click on new folder of the KM iview
you should be able to see the folder you created thru the collaboration page documents and links

Problem in Creatig the URL iview for a Team Room

Well it is unfortunately not possible to just copy the link of a room and use it as reference in an URL iView. A solution we are using a Collaboration Room launching iView. We simulate the form that is used in the CLP:

Pin Team Room to Project Home Page

I have created a new team room and I would like to put a link to it on the project home page (visualstudioonline....not our own TFS). Weirdly, I can see it on my page, but none of the other team members can (they have a message saying "You do not
have any team rooms. A default team room is created for each project"). Can this be done?

I cannot see the new created team room in home page of team project, but I can see it in page of team project collection(different with team project homepage). Each team project has a default team room after it was created. If you create a
new team room, it will not belongs to any special team project. So it's make sense about the items you mentioned above. For the question in original post, you can check whether the team members were added to the team room successfully.
You can also use team room in VS2013, see the

Hello,
I created a action for sending e-mail to support team in SolMan, the action is display in actions of message, but your status is warning, and don't send e-mail. When I try execute action, view the message of error:
--> The Action Cannot Be Executed in the Dialog
Procedure:
If you want to execute the action in the document, you must change the Customizing settings of the action definition correspondingly.
I can't find this procedure.
Anybody can help me please.

have you configured the pfac rule which is called by ur action...(assuming u r using standard action for sending mail to support team)

Are the visual studio online team rooms supported on mobile

I run a small web development team, and VS Online team rooms are the main reason I use VS Online. But it would be nice if they worked well on mobile. Do they? Also, does standard TFS come with team rooms?

How do you configure the test control?
Please make sure you are specify the team collection instead of team project.
On the other hand, you may enable test controller logs. (You could share the log file on the OneDrive)

I want to set up a collaborative work room for my company, what do I need to do so?

I would like to set up a collaborative work room in our company using Apple, what do I need to acomplish such thing: server, ipads, ipods, iphones, smartboard, touchboard, wireless net, certificate logins, vpn, whoever can help me with a few lines for orientation, i will appreciate it.

sharepoint could definitely be acessed from a browser on an iOS device....you might want to start with the enterprise deployment guide..the question you have is a big one and there are a lot of operational issues.....the deployment guide will start with how to implement iOS devices in an enterprise environment...

JavaScript errors at function calls to "top" (e.g. team room or wpc editor)

Hi all,
formerly I run into problems when I tried to embed a team room into the content area of the NW portal.
Now I have a similar problem with the WPC page editor.
In both cases I get JavaScript errors, because the navigation calls a "top" element, which seems to be overwritten by the portal frameworkpage.
Is there any possibility to isolate these elements in a way that allows to embed them into the content area of the portal without these errors?
Or is it only possible to open them in a new window?

Collaboration - Creating rooms and displaying to a specific group

Hi,
I am new to enterprise portals. Can anybody guide me in this context?
I want to create some collaboration rooms which would be specific to groups. Eg. The Students should be able to see rooms specific to their subject. The professionals should be able to view the collaboration specific to subjects that they have selected in their profile. Administrator should be the only user who can create rooms and manage it.
I see about the roles in the book but i am a bit confused.
How do i do that?

Just goign through the forums found the question unanswered. i have done the process what you have asked for.
1)      If you want to create Collaboration Rooms and assigning member's to the room created you should have a role assigned to you i.e. eu_role.
2)      To assign those roles go to User Management and assign to your User or can ask the System Administrator to do it.
3)      After assigning the role you will see New WorkSet assigned to you in the Portal i.e. Home.
4)      In the top Navigational area go to Content Administration. Click it
5)      Go to Collaboration Content. Click it.
6)      On the left side Detailed Navigational area you will find Room Creation link. Click it.
7)      That will open a New view on right side panel where you provide the details to create a Collaboration Room like
             a) Name : Collaboration Room Name
             b) Description : Give some description about the room you are creating
             c) Owner: Generally as you are logged in, so the Owner will be you, but if you want to change the user you can also do it.
            d) Categories: Select any one of the categories.
            e) Template: There are Meeting templates, Project Template & Team template, depending upon the requirement you select the required template.
                You can also create your own template
Process to Create Room Template: On left side navigational area you will find a link "Room Template Administration". Click it.
              I. You will see a New Template tab, click it
              II.      A view is displayed where you need to give the details for the creation of Room template. In the Workset option box choose the option where you want to create the template. Click next.
             III.      Add the role and give the required page permissions. Click next.
             IV.      Incase you want to extent the then you can also extent the template. Here you can select the user's who can use the template you have created.
             f) Choose the Room Type, it can be a Public, Private and Restricted and also in the add the members.
             g)      When you click the Select button a new window is opened, just enter the user's name and add them to the room created. Click next.
8)      A New Collaboration room is created and members are added to them.
9)      Now if you want to send some messages or documents to the member's then go to the Top level Navigational and there you will find Home tab. Click it
10) Goto the Work in the navigation panel select the room you have created.
11) Choose the member from the memberlist , now depending upon the requirement send email or instant message to the user.

Request Memembership in Collaboration Private Room

Hi All,
In Portal we have one option to Request Membership for Private room.When we click this Request Membership command its calling following class com.sap.netweaver.coll.roomui.api.uicommands.UIRequestMembershipCommand mean while it sending RequestMembership notification mail to room owner.
Notification mail send the Room Name: (%room_link_ext%) with the room link , and ("%accept% )member acceptance link (SP 14) to Room owner. Which class generate the value for these e-mail variables(%recipient_firstname%, %recipient_lastname% ,%room_link_ext%,"%accept%) ?.

when we moved from dev to quality, the %accept% still going to dev collaboration room... where we need to check the values of these variable???

Regarding Mail using Collaboration

Hi,
I have activated mail service using Portal Collaboration.
In that I am able to send mails within my domain and not outside that.
Is there any settings to be done to get the mail delivered outside the domain?

New IOS causing weird email issues. Also trying to figure out why mail taking so much room?

Two part question. :I have been trying to figure out what is causing the large amount of "other" in my Iphone memory which has essentially wiped out my 16gb 4s.
After a lot of hunting around, it looks like 6.2 gb is just in my email settings, which seems very high. I do save emails for awhile on the phone, but periodically clean it out and never have had this issue until quite recently. Usually I didn't even notice the "other" part of my memory when syncing.
Second issue--as part of my process, I downloaded the latest IOS (7.0.3) and after I did that, it shows I have 483 "flagged" emails in my mail folder.
I actually have 31. Any idea what could be causing this? Before I downloaded the new IOS, this # was always acccurate, but now this # is way off. Wondering if there could be any tie in to the memory issue?
Also, trying to figure out how to manage the email down to a # that won't take up so much of my memory. Again, it seems like just in the past month my "other" category started to grow, but my email usage and # I save hasn't changed drastically so not sure why it is growing so rapidly.
I have downloaded iexplorer, but can't figure out how to view any possible duplicate emails or issues there? Haven't tried a restore, if I restore will I lose all of the emails on the phone.
Any ideas?

As additional info, when I delete an item from flagged folder, it still shows 483 items aa flagged. Very strange.
Before I downloaded the new IOS, if I deleted a "flagged" item, it reduced the # accordingly.
