E-mail pdf files

How do I attach the newly converted pdf files to e-mails?

Hi barbarajo
Click on the "Compose" button to create a new email message.
Address the email to the intended recipient, and then fill out the "Subject" and "Body" fields as you would with a normal message.
Click on the "Attach" button and navigate to your computer's desktop. Select the PDF that you saved in Step 1 and then click on the "Attach" button.
Repeat Step 6 for any additional PDF files that you want to attach, and then send the email as you normally would.

  • Mailed PDF files arrive on Windows platform as corrupt Windows Media files

Recently I mailed some .pdf files to 3 of the Windows machines on our network. Each of them reported that when attempting to open the .pdf file on the Windows machine, their system tried to use Windows Media instead of Adobe Reader. Of course they received an error message. When they saved the .pdf files on their machines, the files opened correctly in Adobe Reader.
These are files that I downloaded from the State of Oregon. After we had problems there, I mailed them some of the .pdf files I had created. Same results. The Windows machine treats them as corrupt Windows Media files.
I am the only Mac in our company. Of course the problem must be mine!?!
I am using MS Entourage as my mail client.
    Suggestions? Comments? Answers?
    Thanks!!

    Kappy,
No problem! Your suggestions were what made me consider the extension option in Entourage's preferences. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
Your suggestion also prompted me to try the same thing using Mail. Mail worked just fine, so the problem is in how Entourage handles the .pdf file being sent to a Windows computer where it will be opened either in Outlook or Internet Explorer.
It seems that Somewhere along the line, the .pdf extension is being changed to a .png extension which triggers the launch of Windows Media Browser.
I just rebuilt the Entourage database and I'll see what happens now.

  • How to mail Pdf file

Dear sir, i am running my phone with business mail which is given by my organization, But i am unable to send PDF file with my mail. Please look into that & resolve at the earliest.

Hi, N925. This is for your Lumia 925, right? What's the error message Where are you saving your PDF files? Are they from your OneDrive or it is an email attachment?
For OneDrive, go to Office > OneDrive (previously called SkyDrive) > PDF file that you want to send > tap and hold > share... > select your email account.
If the email attachment is from a forwarded email, you need to download & save it first to your phone before you can use it as an attachment on your email.

Please advise what I should do
    Thanksd

Thanks. I disabled Protected Mode, and I was able to open the pdf attachment. Just to make sure, I enabled it and then disabled it again, and when I tried to open the attachment, it did as before – Adobe Reader (Not Responding) and Internal Error message. Tried it several more times, (enable and then disable Protected Mode) and each time, Adobe Reader wouldn’t launch (Not Responding, Internal Error).

  • PDF file opens in word

my e mail PDF files default to opening in windows (I have windows 2010 ). the attachments properties tab do not allow the option to change the file type? can anyone advise please

    1. There is no Windows 2010. What version of Windows are you using Windows 7? Windows Vista? Windows Server?
    2. Are you using Reader 9, X, or XI? It is Reader 9.5.2, X.1.2?
    3. What email program you are running or are you using your Web browser to access your mail. What web browser and version or email program and version?
Must problems can be fixed by re-installing or installing the latest version of Reader compatible with your OS.

  • Why won't the Mail PDF print option work anymore?

I have been trying to mail PDF files, but when I select that option from the PDF drop-down menu in the print dialog box, nothing happens.  Can anyone help?
    Jon

    No, no Adobe Reader here.
I did find an interesting workaround:
Make an alias to the Mail application
Put the alias in ~/Library/PDF Services
    Give it a catchy name
It then shows up in the print dialog's PDF menu (along with the "Mail PDF" workflow) and performs essentially the same function, but without the annoying fail. A side effect (a bonus to me, for arcane reasons) is that the mail message defaults to plain text -- the standard workflow creates a rich text document.

Open Preview, open the PDFs you want to combine, select View/Show Thumbnail, drag the PDFs, you want to combine to the first PDF, then Export as PDF.

is the next part of the code correct.
What i mean is packing of the attachment, finding out the size of pdf file and doc type as PDF.

  • Can not open all .pdf files in Yahoo Mail.

Three computers using Windows XP and Internet Explorer can open all .pdf files in Yahoo
Mail. The fourth and newest Computer with XP Pro, Internet Explorer, and the latest Adobe
Reader can only open some, but not all, .pdf files in Yahoo Mail. Nothing happens when
the window is clicked to open file. How can this be fixed?

Adobe Reader isn't my favorite, but neither are smug and uninformed assertions about Preview. There are PDFs that render only squares and marks under Preview (http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/24209/this-pdf-displays-with-question-m arks-instead-of-letters), which is a common problem in MS Windows Office generated PDFs, so you may actually need Adobe Reader for Mac.
If you need to use Adobe Reader (as I do), then it may depend on the filesystem type where you save your PDF.  For example, our Macs are network homed.  Saving to desktop produced the error reported above no matter whether I used Safari:Save As, or the PDF save icon.
However, when I saved to a local drive (such as /tmp), then it worked.  I don't know why file system makes a difference, unless Adobe is doing something with extended attributes that doesn't get written correctly to some filesystems.
    Hope this helps.

Is there a way to prevent this auto-opening of the PDF. I've seen screen shots with the box, and PDF listed inside the box, but mine open automatically. I want to get them into iBooks...?

I am having the same problem and it is even bigger.
When opening a 1-page PDF in iBooks and sending it via mail it is sent inline as preview, but the recipient cannot open the file anymore. Also on iPad and iPhone there is no "open in" possible.
Somehow the mail app does destroy the file. What is going wrong?
