"E-mail sender address rejected message"

Hello guys.
I have a big issue with my mobile devices. My Apple ID is [email protected] When I started using iCloud I created a [email protected] email address.
In Mail on my Mac all works perfectly, but on my iPhone 4 and iPad2 I cannot send mails, but I canjust receive them.
If I go in settings->Mail or in iCloud settings I see my Apple ID ([email protected]) instead my [email protected] address in the "e-mail address" field.
It looks like it sends mails from my Apple ID address instead my me.com address.
I tried everything: I managed my Apple ID deleting my [email protected] address as email address, I deleted my iCloud account from my iPhone
and then set it up again... but It didn't work.
Does anyone have the same problem? How did you solve it?
Thank you!

i have the same problem with my 3gs and tried to add my email acc+pass in the outgoing server but it got rejected.
just bin on the phone(45min) with my carrier support about this issue they are pretty much scratching there head, the settings i should use gets verified with no problems when i add the outgoung server, but still cant send mails.

  • Cannot Send Mail  Sender Address Rejected by server (Mac Mail)

I am getting this message whenever I try to send mail using MAC mail though my cable provider (COX). It has just started. I can send mail fine from a PC on my network and via at ATT wireless card. But not via cable. I have tried all the obvious things and many things discussed in the forum including:
    - Run disk warrior in case there was a file problem
    - Delete user info from cox account
    - Reset modem and router
    - Change outgoing port
    - switched from wifi to Ethernet connection
In talking to COX, they say they seem to have some undocumented incompatibilities with Mac mail that appear to be intermittent. He said this is common problem.
I have had this problem one other time and resetting the modem seemed to fix the problem.
Anybody find a permanent solution to this problem.

Well I think I solved it. It appears that the outgoing server information dissapeared. The outgoing mail menue is hard to find go to preferences/accounts.
At the bottom of the page is a pull down menu of different outgoing servers. One of the options is edit. Select this. While my COx account was there the information was no longer there. Filled it in again and everything worked fine.
I must say it took me a while to find where I could adjust the outgiong mail server. Very poor design on Apple's part!

  • Can't send mail: sender address rejected by server

    help

Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP server selection, select the Server Settings button below for the .Mac SMTP server.
What is entered in the Server Port field?
If 25, enter 587 instead and when finished select OK to save the changed setting.
If you are already using 587 for the Server Port, are you also accessing an email account and SMTP server provided by your ISP used for connecting to the internet with the Mail.app and if so, are you able to send messages with your ISP's email account?
If yes to both, select/use your ISP's SMTP server to send messages with your .Mac account.

why is my "sender address rejected by mail sercer"  where do i go to fix?

Without knowing the sender address, it's impossible to say why it was rejected. Was the address in the proper format; did you type it in yourself, or did you use one stored in Address Book?
Be more specific and cite the exact text of the error message (but don't include the actual email address) in your reply.

  • Sender address rejected by server smtp.freeserve

I have minimal [Read NO] understanding of how this all works so please bear that in mind.
Recently I have been trying to send emails from the Mail App on the iMac version 10.6.8. (I'm guessing that's snow leopard).
I keep getting the message: sender address rejected by server smtp.freeserve.co.uk.
I do not understand why this is happening.
My accounts and mail are all connected and logged in to the internet/server, there are no mistakes in my
email address or anything so I just don't understand what could possibly be going on.
Please help, I need possible problems (and explanations) and I definitely some possible solutions.
Thank you so much in advance.

You shouldn't post an e-mail address in a public forum.

JusJust downloaded iOS 7.0 on iPhone and now cannot send email -sender address rejected by server???

What happens when you go to the web based mail for your email account?
Are you able to login and send / receive messages from the web?
If so, you might need to check outgoing email settings on your iPhone
    Settings > Mail, Contacts Calendars
Tap on the account you are having an issue with
Tap on the email address beside the word Account
Tap on info beside SMTP  (SMTP = outgoing mail server)
Tap on the SMTP server name again.
Make sure server is turned on
Check settings & port info, password, etc.
    Good luck!

  • Error message 'sender address rejected by server' w/MacMail

I receive email ok but all of a sudden I cannot send email or reply to email using Mac Mail. The error message says:

The security update didn't break any of my email accounts and I access several with Mail that are not provided by my ISP.
Is this email account you were having problems sending messages with provided by your ISP - AT&T or other?
I have a .Mac account and I also access my employer provided POP account with Mail and although I have no problems sending messages with either account and associated SMTP server since both SMTP servers are authenticated and my ISP does not block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network or not provided by my ISP on Port 25 as long as the SMTP server is authenticated, I use my ISP's SMTP server to send messages with both accounts when connected to my ISP at home.

  • Sender address rejected by server

Setting up my iMac mail, and using the same settings for my mail account as I have been using successfully on my MacBook, but can't get any mail to send. I receive the message that the sender address has been rejected by the server. I have tried deleting and re-entering the account information and outgoing mail server, double checking it against what is working on my MacBook, but no luck!    Thanks for any ideas on how to get the mail moving!!

The sender address (Apple ID) was rejected by the server.

  • Sender address rejected by the server

Stupidly, I tried to send an email to everyone in the address book without splitting them up into smaller groups. I think I have been flagged as a spammer. This is the error message I get:
This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
The sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server.
I am unable to send any emails from Mail. How do I resolve this???

It looks like you've exceeded the .Mac sending limitations, as described in the following article:
    .Mac: Email Account Specifications
The problem should fix itself by just letting enough time to pass so that you're within the limits again.

  • Sender address rejected by service

I have many times sent images I take on my iphone to myself at home to import into iphoto with no problem. Today I try to do this and I get a message "A copy has been placed in your outbox. The sender address (mine) was rejected by the server". I phoned my server shaw.ca and they say it is a problem with the phone. Why would this work a few days ago and not now. Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

You may have to go into preferences in your shaw email account and enable mobile deveices and also type in your password.  I had to change my password because it wasnt strong enough apparently.  Then changed the outgoing mail server and incoming passwords on my iPhone to the new one I made and it worked.

  • Sender address rejected by server - Help!!

I have been unable to send mail all morning - I can receive mail, but when I try to reply or send a new message altogether, I get the error message "Sender address [email protected] rejected by server." I searched these forums and tried sending messages through my mail on mac.com, but that didn't work either.
I don't know if this is a widespread apple problem as the boards indicate has happened before, or the result of something i've done. last night, preparing to go on vacation, i attempted to set an "out of office" reply via preferences>rules. I did it wrong and ended up sending my auto reply to every existing message in my inbox (several hundred - some people got dozens of the auto response - very embarrasing as this is my business e-mail!). I deleted the "rule" to stop the process, but i don't know if that has something to do with my new problem. I'm working remotely and need my e-mail - please help!!!!!

I tend to agree with Austin's explanation. One work-around might be to change your SMTP port from 25 to 587.
Another explanation is that by sending out all those mistaken replies yesterday that your are temporarily blocked as a spammer. Most ISPs (including Apple) put limits on the number of outgoing mail messages in a 24 hour period.

  • HT1277 Sender address rejected by server

I keep getting an error message when trying to send mail.  It states: sender address was rejected by server.  I have called my email provider and everything is setup properly according to their requirements.  Why is this happening?  I also have a .me account setup in macmail and am able to send from there no problem.

    Is it gMail perchance?
    Gmail send but not receive...
Here are two steps that have come in handy in related situations
    1) login to gmail on your computer or device via a web browser
    2) once logged in successfully, go to this URL to unlock:

  • Sender Address Rejected

When I try send a mail using Mail I get an error message that reads "sender address [email protected] rejected by the server." I tried changing ports and that didn't help. I even logged onto .mac and tried to send mail from the web page and received a message saying "your message could not be delivered." I can still receive email.
I have been sending a lot of email today, and I wonder if .mac is blocking me from sending because they think I'm spamming. I'm not. I just need to send the same message to about 100 different people.

The RoadRunner SMTP server is different depending on the area where you reside so I'm not sure how Apple Support would know RR's SMTP server for your geographic area.
You have a RR email account but you haven't created or used it in Mail. RR creates an initial email account and password for all new customers and the email address based on your name such as the initial for your first name and your last name. You login to RR's website with the email address and password RR provided and you can create a new email account/address as you prefer or use the initial email address and password provided by RR.
This information should be available at RR's website or you may need to call RR support to ask about the initial email account/address and password RR created for you. They will give you the incoming mail server and outgoing or SMTP server, etc.
