E-mail Settings for N6270

Hi guys,
I cannot configure my email setting with my Gmail (Google mail) account. Its need secured connection. But I can configured our local ISP's mail account in my phone & can do send/receive mail. But failure in setup of Gmail account.
Can any one know how it will be configured for Gmail account. My phone model is Nokia N6270.

I have a 2 server SharePoint farm.
All outgoing emails were working fine.
I just restarted both servers and now after that none of the emails are being sent. I am using OOB publishing workflow and it shows message:
The e-mail message could not be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly.
Even if I setup Alert on some list, it doesn't send email.
I have checked that outgoing email setting in CA is defined and like I said it was working fine without problems but after restart it is showing error.
What could be the cause of this and how to fix it?

I removed outgoing mail server in CA, added again and restart IIS but still emails from OOB workflow is not being sent. But email from Alerts are being sent. Don't know what to do now.

This is really weird, It works when an alert is set but workflows doesn't send emails... Can you create a simple 1 Step workflow in SPD to send an email when a specific field is set. See if this sends an email..

I created a test workflow which sends email to user and it is also not sending email. But I am getting email from SharePoint regarding "variation" page changes as well as alerts which I told above.

I have SP 2013, and it was working properly. and workflows send emails perfectly. yesterday, i decided to build a fresh site collection so i deleted the old one and created a new one. now, workflows are unable to send emails. i'm sure it has nothing to do
with my mail server cuz no changes happened to it. i'm sure about the settings for outgoing mail on central admin. all i did, was to enter mail server IP in outgoing mail field and email below it.
in the workflow status the status says "error" followed by this message: "The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly."
Any help please?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to send email after building a fresh site collection.
I recommend to verify that you have entered your SMTP server name correctly.
You can add it as FQDN e.g. ServerName.DomainName.

In the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete the account and re-enter it - sometimes that resolves this
Or IMHO the best long term solution is to set Apple Mail as the iPhoto e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences and use it - it has a number of advatages and has fewer problems

Mail settings for iCloud, etc

I'm using 10.6.8.
I see two kbases for setting up Apple Mail to work with iCloud email.
But, one says it's specifically for 10.6. The other is for other email apps, using IMAP setup.
But, wouldn't the IMAP settings in the second work for 10.6 as well?

I gues I'm trying to figure out why they are different since iCloud is an IMAP account, but both articles have different settings for that

it would seem one of those kbases made sure to mention option-click in the process to allow edits in the IMAP setup.
So, in the 10.6 info:
mail.me.com
user name (excluding @me.com)
smtp.me.com
But, in the iCloud server setting for email clients:
imap.mail.me.com
user name=[email protected]
smtp.mail.me.com
It seems user name under each is different in that one wants @iCloud.com and the other doesn't.
Also, "imap" is added to the icoming and outgoing info.
I set my SL up using the "icloud: mail server settings" instead of the one for 10.6.
But, I was trying to figure WHY there are two different ways and why specifically 10.6 differs.

Yes, they should work. For the outgoing SMTP, you might try using Apple Token instead of your password.
You can share Mail, Calendars, and Contacts running Snow Leopard. Based on my experience, I don't recommend syncing Contacts - created a lot of problems with duplicates.

I'm about to upgrade the current drive in my laptop to something bigger, so I wanted to check what is the simplest way to back up my mail + settings in order to restore them on the new drive. Can I just rely on TimeMachine or should I just copy ~/Libraby/Mail to an external drive and then back again onto the new drive?

Mail settings for Guided Procedures

Hi,
I'm having problems having GP send mails.
The settings in the GP Administration are correct. I can send test mails to myself without problems, and did the setup that is described here: [Re: Guided Procedures - set mail smtp host]
Also, I'm sure that my user has an e-Mailaddress and the like, I've set it up properly on R3. Also, when trying to send a mail to a static address (just give it as a value) it still generates problems.
Now when I go to the log, I get these errors, which are odd, considering mail.sap.org is NOT the SMTP server I set up!!
Unknown SMTP host: mail.sap.corp
javax.mail.MessagingException: Unknown SMTP host: mail.sap.corp;
nested exception is:
java.net.UnknownHostException: mail.sap.corp
The question is fairly simple: Where does it say that the SMTP server is that? It's certainly not in Administration > Administer BMF > Clients as it's set correctly there!
Help would be, as always, greatly appreciated!

Hi,
So, to start the Config Tool, double click the configtool script file from <SAP_install_dir>/<system_name>/<instance_name>/j2ee/configtool directory.
When you open it, navigate to cluster-data -> template <name of template> -> instance <name of instance> -> services -> caf/eu/gp/model.
The template represents the usage type installed on your server (for example, EP). It consists of one or more instances that can be configured in a different way.
Next, modify the required system parameters (in your case smtp.server and smtp.service_user_mail) :
a. On the Service properties screen, select a parameter from the table.
b. In the Custom value field, enter a value for the parameter.
c. Choose Set.
The new value appears in the Value column.
In the Template value field, you can see the default value (if any) for the parameter you have selected. You can restore the default template value for any parameter by choosing Restore to Template.

AOL mail settings for Orange 7360

Can anyone help with the painful setup of mail on an orange 7360.
I've worked out I need to go into the configuration settings, then personal configuration to create a new e-mail one...but I can't see anywhere where I should put the smtp / imap server names (smtp.uk.aol.com and imap.uk.aol.com)
Can anyone help?

If you go to the main Nokia website, go to the support section for you phone, there will be a section that allows you to send the setting directly to your phone so you don't have to bother with them.
