  • Cannot e-mail video(s) from 3Gs

    Hi -
I have the new 3Gs and largely it is working well. However after I take video with the unit it does not allow me to send it? It compresses and shows up as a .mov file but the unit will not send it. It hangs for a long time and then gives me the "cannot send mail" error message.
Any thoughts? Until we have attachments in MMS this is the only way to send video from the phone so I need it to work.
    Thanks!

I had the very same problem.....I was using Yahoo, but any video longer than 10 seconds would not send. It is the server problem on Yahoo's end.
I switched to my gmail account to send video, and it works beautifully.

  • How to e-mail video's from IPhoto

how to send video's via e-mail from IPhoto?

It is very difficult to send video with email. The video files are too large. Most ISP's, your's and the receiver's limit email attachment size to something much much smaller than a typical video file. You can use online storage for transferring large files.

  • How do I e-mail videos loaded into iPhoto?

I recorded my child's recital and now want to e-mail family and friends. However, I am not able to do so. How do I go about?
    Thanks. Be well.

You don't, si the short answer. Typically video files are too big to email. Apart from the time it takes to download, you'll get precious little thanks from folks who's Inboxes are over full - on some systems it can even crash their machines. The usual route is to upload the video to a site like YouTube, Vimeo, or a sharing site like YouSendIt or MegaUpload and forward a link to them.

  • Trouble opening e-mail video attachments

As with most Macs, my MacBook Pro came with trial versions of Windows and iWorks. I decided to go with Windows. The trial period has long been over, and clearly my computer is set to some sort of default because when I attempt to open an attachment (such as a video, etc.) in mail it attempts to open iWorks, notifies me it has expired, and encourages me to subscribe. How can I change this default to allow these attachments to open in Windows-friendly applications, or do I simply have to buy iWorks? I've talked to several other Mac users--who have chosen either Windows or iWorks--and none of them have had this problem.
    Thank you.

Open your e-mail account on your Mac and double click on your attachment. If you have set your touch to delete mail on the server (not really a good idea if you use the same account) change that setting.
If you have changed the server setting or use a separate account, just e-mail yourself the attachment.

  • E-mail video

How do you e-mail a video shot on my phone when it say's it is too big to send?

    Simply, you don't.
Videos are very large files. Try uploading to your computer and burning it, haring it to YouTube or any other method.

  • E mailing video and audio

Can I record a message - place it in an e-mail and then attach a photo OR
doing the same thing in reverse
taking a photo - place it in an e-mail and then attach a voice recording?
Can either of the above be done? If so - how? As you can tell, I'm a new iPhone owner as of yesterday - it took this long for the phone company to roll out the infrastructure needed in the Yukon.
    Thanks
    John

  • Since upgrading to OS X 10.8, my received mail videos no longer have audio attached.

Since my upgrade, when I receive videos via Mail, the audio part of the video is silent.  Volume control has no effect and I've done a Shut Down and Restart without effect either.  I've tried dragging the video to Desktop and the audio doesn't play there either.

OK, sorry if I'm a bit slow... the version of Quick Time Player I currently have installed is ver. 10.2 (603).  When I select Movie dInspector the Show Movie Inspector says:
         the name of the video
         Source: User/myname/Desktop/name_of_the_video
         Format: 'WMV1', 320 x 240
Windows media audio 9 standard*, 2 channels, 32,000 hz
         FPS:        23.22
         Data Size: 1.2 MB
         Data Rate: 379.06 kbit/s
         Current Size: 480 x 360
Is this the information you're looking for?

  • Every time I open Firefox , a recently opened e-mail video (audio only) plays in the background of my new web site .I`ve tried to restore the desk top back to an earlier date with no luck. Please advise.. Ken

I`m getting the same background audio when I open Firefox every time.

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry.
    See "Corrupt extension files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions
If you see disabled extensions that are not compatible on the next start in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button to do a compatibility check.

  • How to reduce videos in iPhoto from iPhone for mailing or uploading

How do you reduce videos from an iPhone 4s for e-mailing or uploading to sites like Flickr? iPhoto gives you a choice of photo sizes to e-mail but doesn't allow you to e-mail videos. The videos are on my iPhone and my iMac.

You can export (or drag) the videos out of the iPhoto interface and drop them onto your Desktop (which will copy them from the iPhoto Library onto the Desktop).
You can then double-click the new video file on the Desktop to open it with Quicktime (hopefully this is your default video-playing app). Within Quicktime, click on Quicktime in the menubar and use the Export feature to create a smaller version of your video file. That smaller version of your file will be better compressed for internet uploading.
If you have Quicktime X, then you will also have a Share menu in the Menubar with some built-in sharing options such as YouTube that can be more convenient.

  • When I email videos from my iphone 5 (ios 6), i cannot open the file in quicktime. Anyone know a fix?

Hey, so I just got an iPhone 5, and i've come across an issue involving sending videos. I am now thinking it is quicktime on my computer, but here's the situation. I e-mail videos taken from my phone to myself, or my coach, for review. I did that a lot with my 4s when running ios 5, and everything was fine. Now when I e-mail videos from my iPhone 5 (ios 6), my computer will show a thumbnail of the video, but when I open it in quicktime, the video is black, but there is sound. I am however able to open it in VLC player, but i would much prefer to be able to open it in quicktime. Could it be the way it was compressed when e-mailed? When I plugged my phone into my computer and copied the full (uncompressed) video file from the iphone, it opened fine in quicktime. Also my coach has quicktime pro on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), and both files open fine.
I am running Windows 7, with Quicktime version 7.7.2.
    Any ideas?

The only fix I know right now for Windows users is QuickTime 7.7.1

Okay, I have been reading lots of complaints about e-mailing videos using Yahoo.
Don't bother! It won't go (if it's more than 10 seconds in length) The apple tech rep told me Yahoo's servers won't be able to handle the file, so I switched to sending on Comcast and my Gmail account...it works fine!

  • What Verizon e mail attachment MB limit, ?

Should be 8 MB limit using the webpage email, and 20 MB using a third party email client like outlook or winmail.

  • Mail.app not decoding MIME attachments correctly

I have a security camera that e-mails me a video clip whenever a security event happens.   I have these events e-mailed to a linux server to a private e-mail account.  From time to time, I use Mail.app on my Mac to review the video clips by opening the attachments with MPlayerX.  Until I upgraded to Yosemite, all this worked flawlessly.
The issue is that with Yosemite, about half of the e-mailed video clips are being received corrupted and unplayable.   I'm certain that it has something to do with the MIME decoding of the attachment that appears to have changed in Yosemite.   If I click on the e-mail attachment directly, and select "Save Attachment..." to save it to a file, the file will be corrupt and unplayable.   But, If I view the e-mail raw source, extract out the base 64 encoding and then decode it manually with openssl's base64 command the file is never corrupt and always correct.
I have Maildrop disabled in the account properties and do not use iCloud at all.
Has anybody else had issues with e-mail attachment decoding on Yosemite?  Any possible workaround other then downgrading back to Mavericks?   Is this a known issue that is going to be fixed very soon since I'm assuming a lot of people will be hitting this.
    Thanks.

Quit Mail first and using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail. Copy the Mail folder and place the copy on the Desktop for backup purposes.
Using the Finder go to Home > Library > Mail > Envelope Index.
Delete the Envelope Index file and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and you will be prompted to import mailboxes. Select OK and allow this process to complete. This really isn't importing anything but replacing the deleted Envelope Index file and re-indexing all mailboxes and messages.
I'm not sure this will make any difference either but can't hurt.
After confirming all mailboxes/messages are available, you can delete the copy of the Mail folder from the Desktop.
When was the last time you use a system and user cache cleaner?
