E-print on hp b109n

i have a b109n printer set up on my wireless network and working fine with my windows pcs. i have added an ipad which is on the same wireless network and have installed and activated the hp e-print app. when i come to add my printer i am asked for its email address but i can't find this anywhere. there is no web services settings meniu option, nor is there an e-print icon on the printer display. how can i set up my printer to work with my ipad without this email address? thanks

HP Solution Centre problems!

Hi!
I just received my new printer: HP Wireless B109n-z and have installed all software required on my laptop. I am using Windows Vista SP2 32 Bit.
While installing I received the error message saying my Adobe Flash Player was not the latest version, so I went online and installed it. Then when all done, the printer connects fine and works... but the HP Solution Centre wont load.Instead I get a message saying that my colour scheme is reverting to Vista Basic as a running program is not compatible with it.
Anywho I went online to look for a solution and somebody had said that because Flash Player was installed during the printer installation process it can go wrong. So i uninstalled everything that I had installed today, then went online and downloaded the latest versions of Flash Player first, then installed everything off the CD again.
But still the same problem, I double-click the solution centre icon and nothing happens. I right-click the icon in the system tray, click Display Status.... nothing!
Can someone please help!?!?!?!?

I understand your frustration with Solution Center no longer appearing on your desktop. With the newer Operating systems and printers they have replaced Solution Center with the HP Printer Assistant. Do you see the C309a printer icon on your desktop? Very Similar to Solution Center but with some added features.
You can also check in your program files see below:
Start button (bottom left) > All programs > HP folder > C309a > HP Printer Assistant (set to desktop).
When you installed your software did you use the software CD it originally came with or use the software download?

Cartridge 364 and 564 Compatibility

Hello,
While I was in the United States in Autumn, I purchased a set of cartridges for my printer - a photosmart B109n. I looked for 364's, but was told by the sales assistant that the equivalent cartridges in the US are the 564's. However, I have got home to Belgium to find that the printer does not recognise this model. Is there anything which can be done, or am I stuck with a set of open 564's which I cannot use?

The cartrdiges are regionalized with four regions throughout the world. If you move to a new region you can have HP change the regionalization, but for your situation this does not apply. HP's web page on the subject is here.

HP Photosmart B109n-z (printing problem) please help

Hi all,
I have the HP Photosmart B109n-z printer and have it set up wirelessly and it works fine I've had no problems with it.
The other day the black ink stopped working - the cartridge isn't empty but it's no longer prinking black on any documents. I have since put all new cartridges in, it recognises them all, including the black one, and if I'm printing something like a word document then it moves as if printing but the page comes out blank - no black ink is used.
I work for myself and work from home so need to get this resolved asap.
I've checked the cartidge - it's good.
I've checked the connection and print cartridge bay - they're clean.
Please help.
The colour is working fine.
The black ink issue is the same whether printing, scanning, or copying.
And I have tried turning everything off and on again!!!

The B109 is not on the list of printers that implement AirPrint:

Problem HP Photosmart B109n-z printer

Last week i've bought a new printer , photosmart B109n-z, installed wireless on my laptob and installed it with USB on my desktop; All works good, just now I often lose my internet connection on my deskto. Have to unplug/plug the internet cable again in the deskto and to reset the router, afterwards in works again...But before the installing of the printer i have never lost the connection with the internet. Is there a solution for this ? With the laptop, no problems....

OK, is your US Robotics router a DSL modem/router? Is it yours or your ISP's?
Let's set a static IP address for the printer:
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). Yours is 192.168.1.100 to .199 Let's use 192.168.1.220
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Leave the gateway and DNS blank. <<<<This is important!
- Click 'Apply'
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

When I go to print a document I keep on getting the message error - printing, we are using the printer on a wireless network
Don't know if this has anything to do with it but installed the new BT Home Hub 3 yesterday had previously the BT Home Hub 2 and put in 2 new cartridges otherwise nothing else has changed
I will be very grateful if anyone can help me out here

You will have to re-connect your printer to your new BT Homehub. In the HP folder in your Programs, run the Printer Setup and Software program to re-connect it.

Using a repeater with Photosmart b109n wireless printer

I use a Fritz!Wlan repeater on my network. The installation wizard for HP wireless printers cannot resolve which network SSID because there will be 2 of the same thing listed. In this case it will say "Looking for Network" endlessly. To resolve this I had to disconnect my repeater, go through the entire wireless install using the wizard and the USB cable, turn off the printer, plug in the repeater and then turn on the printer. This took a long time to figure out just in case somebody else runs into the same issue although probably not a common thing to have a repeater in your house.

It is not possible to use another router as repeater ....because the main router will generate signals wirlessly .... the second router will also generate the same network name SSID ..... but connected to that signals you are not able to go online ......
The router will only make you online if it is connected to the Internet Cable at internet port on the back .....
So the kind of network you are looking is not possible using two routers ..... but you can use one router & one range extender (WRE54G) to extend the range or you can use Access Point (WAP54G) to repeat the signals .....

HP Pavilion laptop and HP B109n-z all in one printer

Okay, so at the moment I feel like chucking the whole lot in the skip!
A couple of months ago I had to buy a new laptop which has windows 8.1 installed. I already had my HP printer which did scan and copying all well - no problems in the 5 years I have had it.
I am unable to install the full drivers onto my new laptop which will enable me to scan. I also tried to scan through webscan but whilst it will preview and scan, the scanned document doesnt come onto another brower. Tried windows fax and scan but it says no scanner is detected.
My printer prints okay.
This is driving me nuts - I am self employed and am spending hours trying to get this sorted. I run my internet through Firefox.

I see you're experiencing scan issues. I would like to help!
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Printer b109n - error message "cannot be contacted over the network" ?

I just had a new modem installed so i am guessing the above message may mean i need to reconnect printer to wifi ?

Yup, you need to re-connect. You did not tell me what operating system you are using so I'll give you some generic instructions:
1. Go to the Hewlett-Packard folder > [your printer model] > Printer Setup and Software.
2. Run that program and choose "Wireless" as the connection type.
3. Make sure that a USB cable is NOT connected to the printer when you start the software.
4. The software will instruct you to connect a USB cable temporarily part-way through the process. Follow its directions.

The Officejet 6500 E709n does have a Windows 8 driver, however, it does not have a Windows 8 RT driver which is what the MS Surface tablet uses. This would explain the message you are receiving.
