E-Rec - Candidate Location search in the search criteria configuration

Hello experts,
My requirement is to add a search criteria on candidates geographical location in the TRM Search in the recruiter start page.
I have performed the following steps in SPRO but still the location search is not bringing the required output;
1. Defined a search template for candidates location -
{Type - General; Search profile type - INT_CAND} - I have used the standard search profile type INT_CAND
2. Defined a search template element
{Element type - LIBO list Box; Info category - CANDIDATE_ADDRESS_DATA; Field Type - E; Data collection class - CL_HRRCF_T005_COUNTRY}
3. Attached the search template element to the search template
4. Attached the search template in the sequence to the Search template group "Search in Talent warehouse'
Note --> TREX is working fine and iam able to see the job search working fine in the system.
Can some one please provide some inputs on what iam missing.

If you are sure this problem will not occur again in the future, then you can run the standard webdynpro application DELETE_EXTERNAL_CANDIDATE in e-Recruiting system to get rid of the duplicate candidates....
This application will delete the candidate completely from the system, including all the CP and BP objects and relations.

I generated the file in Robohelp HTML 9.
As far as I know it's used when you've combined more than one source into the final help file. It is possible (though I don't remember doing it) that I did that once a couple of years ago but now I'm only using one source - the project that's generating the .chm.
Can anyone tell me how I can remove it?

Searching with the Search tab only looks in 3 of 19 merged chms, no matter what is searched for

I'm using RoboHelp 8. I'm using the Search tab in the HTML Help window to search. Although it finds what I’m searching for, it only looks in 3 of my 19 merged chm files, no matter what I search for. I can tell by the Location column in the search results.
Is there a known bug in HTML Help search capabilities?

It would be worth checking that the window and single source layout properties of all 19 projects are setup exactly the same. Also make sure that there are no child CHM files in the project directory before you compile. RoboHelp insists that they are copied in when you add links but they can cause issues like this when you compile. When you compile there should be no other CHMs in the project directory.

Modifying the appearance of the search box, the search button, and the submit button for web forms

I'm trying to modify the appearance of the search box, the search button, and the submit button for web forms by modifying the CSS on Stylesheets. None of the tags I'm using (e.g. .webform .cat_button) seem to be working. What are the correct tags for those three elements?

When you generate the help you can select / deselect the buttons that are displayed.

E-Rec ,Candidate Appears twice in fast search

We are using Standalone E-rec system EHp4 , Done with all the ALE Related configuration for Data Transfer b/t ECC to E-rec System , While Running PFAL(RHALEINI) for the first with the object type 'P' we missed to update the infotype 0006 , subtype 1 , we ran the PFAL for the object type 'P' for all the employee in Insert mode , we uploaded again infotype 0006 subtype 0001 in ECC system and Ran the PFAL again with the object type 'P' in insert mode for all the Employees .
After that to synchronize the data we ran Report HRALXSYNC in e-rec system , furher moving on we check the candidates in the Fast search application , there i can able to find two record for each internal candidate , but when we check the Relationship CP-P , CP-BP, CP-US all exists only one .
further to confirm this i Ran the PFAL for only one employee with insert mode , and again i could be find 3 entries in the fast search , increased by one .

"Open file location" option from the search window replaces the search window to open the file location

After searching for some files, when I right click on any file from the search window and click "open file location", the file location is opened in the same search window there by detroying my search. In Vista this option would open the file location in a separate window. This is really annoying if I want to open locations of several files from the search window.

The more thorough explanation of how to do this is right-click the item then CTRL-Left Click "Open file Location". This will open it in a new window.
I agree that Microsoft makes unnecessary changes to the operating system which cause it to behave less productively. The search is an important part of an operating system and Microsoft managed to make it the worst part.
Bring back the XP search option. I'm very sad so see this terribly executed search is still the norm in Windows 8.
To put it bluntly, I don't use Windows by choice, it's my job to deal with it.

When i check the search status
Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance, it shows all the components are online.
As of now search service application is online and search is working.But not sure why it throws the above error.
I have restarted timer service,search service in services.msc and cleared the sharepoint cache as well.
But no luck,This is happening in my prodcution environment.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please try below mentioned steps:
1. Central Administration > Monitoring > Review job definitions > Look for following timer job "Application Server Administration Service Timer Job" > Disable
2. Then open windows administrative services (services.msc), stop SharePoint Timer Service
3. Clear SharePoint Timer configuration cache by following steps mentioned in below blog:

4. Start SharePoint Timer Service and give it a few seconds so that the new XML files from the location you deleted then are re-populated.

How to add a dropdown menu to the search box (the 'search this site' box that appears on all subsites)

Hello there,
I know that in the search center you can add search verticals. Then you can configure the search box so it has a drop down menu so you can specify the result source you want to search.
But my question is about the 'search this site' box which appears on all subsites, so not the one in the search center. Is it possible to add the same dropdown menu to this box as in the search center?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add a dropdown menu to the search box.
You need to look at the Search Settings page that is located under the Site Collection Administration of the Site Settings.

You can check if you have the ZoneAlarm search engine file in the browser\searchplugins folder in the Firefox program or in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
You can delete the search.json file and possible search-metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to reset the search engines to the default.

What character splits search terms (for different search result tabs), searching from the search box.

When we type in a search term, in the search box, the results can be shown in a tab. But how can you split search terms while entering them all at once, each search term providing results in a new tab.
"Search Term|Search Term Two", using |;\ etc only sends the term in entirety beyond. What does this box handle and how to make it open two tabs when given two separated search terms.
So what is this special character or setting?

The solution u provided looks complete except that i am confused by the meaning of strField , may i didnt provide more details in my post .
The strField var i provided earlier was not meant to be placed in my code , the correct one is shown below .However , the strField means according to me is the field against which the search operation should take place based on the ( search Term )
the user provided .
Here is the code after applying the solution u suggested :

Keyword Search with the search field

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding search by keywords: when I type in more than one keyword in the search field I do not get any results, no matter if I separate those with a comma or just a space. Isn't this supposed to work? Or do I have to use the search HUD for keyword search? When I am searching my entire library there are a LOT of keywords. I always thought I could use the searchbar just like Spotlight, typing several words and getting results in real-time. It works like this in iPhoto, so why not in Aperture?

How not to search in the search result reset pagination?

I have a sql query report where I have created a text field where a use can input a search criteria, that is used in the where clause. This works perfect. But when pagination is used and you navigate to the next result set and input a new search criteria the search is only done in the displayed result set not the full data set. As far as I can figure out from other posts in this forum I have to reset the pagination when the search button is pressed. I can no figure out how to do this. People have mentioned using braches or processes or Clear Cache?. Can anybody please guide me in the right direction?

Well if it is setup like mine, there will be a "Branch to Page or URL" branch dependent on the "Go" button being selected.
In this branch, immediately to the right of the "Page" to branch to, set the "reset pagination for this page".

When I open Compose Email Window, anything I type -- in any location -- pops open the Search box at the bottom of the screen and my text goes into that box -- therefore cannot compose or reply to an email.... Any suggestions?

Problem is intermittent.... but most of the time (90%). Occasionally happens right in the middle of successful email start.... get two lines in, and it suddenly switches into the Find box. Have reinstalled and updated Firefox to latest version (3.5.13 as of 9/16/2010) without any change. Have shut down Firefox and restarted without change. Have rebooted entire computer without change.

1. Please, verify the prerequisites of Operations Console listed by the following link:

3. Clear SCOM Console cache:

4. Try to clean up Ops Manager cache on SCOM Management server. To do this stop Microsoft Monitoring Agent service, navigate to SCOM installation path (by default, C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager\Server) and
delete Health Service State folder. Start Microsoft Monitoring Agent service afterwards.
5. If nothing helps, maybe try to reinstall SCOM Console.
