E-recruiting - Add manual entries in hitlist search

We have created a new posting channel in e-recruiting.
With this new posting channel, we would like to create entries in standard hitlist for employee and for candidates (As standard posting channel 1 and 2 do)
We tried copying the PUBLISH method of CL_HRRCF_PUBLISHER_INT and CL_HRRCF_PUBLISHER_EXT but it doesn't work.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Dominique

Hello Dominique,
did I get your requirement right that you try to join internal and external publication in a single posting channel? So one publication publishes for external and internal job search?
Unfortunately this will probably not work the way you tried. The standard publishers for internal and external publicatios check their channel hard coded. I assume you excluded these checks when copying the coding but these restrictions are made for a reason. First of all the tables for the standard publishing channels cannot handle more than one channel so your channel would block the standard channels, you could never again publish for external or internal only as it could mess up the tables. Furthermore while some e-recruiting applications do not check for the candidate type in the publication (e.g. apply on application group can be done in bsp for iternal candidates although not meat to) others will not. So you will probably run in troubles with such a channel now or later.
If you wat to reduce the work for publishing there are ways of course. You could create a channel triggerig a workflow copying the information to standard internal and external channel so you reduce the work for the recruiter. Or you develop your own publication maintenance. I once build a screen which allows the publication maintainence directly in the table instead of the detailed view. Together with some buttons for some standard presets (channels, standard laguage, standard durations) you can create publications with 2 clicks.
Kind regards

  • How do I save email addresses from in box without manual entry?

    Any other email program I've used will recognize an email address when you type in a letter or two in the TO box. It seems Thunderbird only looks at the address book that has to be manually input. Doesn't seem to be an option to remember an address from your inbox. I have to be missing something. Manual entry into the contact list can't be the only option...right?

    Thunderbird adds outbound addresses to your Collected address book. Would you really want every address that you received an email from clogging up your address book? Junk mail and all?
    When you are viewing an email in the message pane or a tab there is a star to the right of the addresses. If the star is filled with color that address is in one of your address books. If the star is empty you can click it to add the contact to the Personal address book. Clicking a filled star will open the contact edit dialog box to add more details or move to another book.
    This is NOT the same star to the left of the message headers.

  • Prevent manual entry  in user defined value

    Is it possible to prevent manual entry  in user defined value (Formatted search)?
    Thanks

    Hi
    I don't think there is any out of the box solution .
    It is possible if formatted search automatically populates your data but I think in your case ,user is selecting the list of special codes you have provided .
    May be it can be done by SDK . Try posting in SDK forum .
    Hope this helps

    Go to 0VLK, select your delivery type and click on "details". you will find a field for "item requirement". for LF, the standard entry is 202... change this to 101. what this does is to prevent manual entries without reference to a sales order."

  • Override the storage section check for manual entries

    Hi All,
    I am facing a issue on Storage section search.While creating To system is giving correct Storage section according t the settings but if I would like  to change the storage section to different storage section system is not giving any error message.It is giving only warning message check your enteries.
    So I would like know is there is config settings to avoid another storage section selcetion which are not assignned storage search indicator.
    I have checked in help.sap.com .I following information .
    To set up the strategy for storage sections, see the section on activating storage section searches under Strategies in the Warehouse Management IMG documentation.
    If storage section checking is active for the storage type, then the system searches in the storage type only for those empty storage bins in storage sections that have been allowed for the material being put away. When you are creating a transfer order and manually enter a storage bin, then the system checks whether the bin is in a storage section that is allowed for the material.
    *You can also make an entry in customizing that permits you to override the section check for manual entries.*_
    Can please advice me inorder activate the config for override the section check for manual entries or any warning message.

  • How to add environment entry in EJB3 ejb-jar.xml

    Hi,
    Is that a build in way of add environment entries in JDev for EJB 3 beans? For EJB 2 beans you can do that using properties. But the bean properties is not available in EJB 3. Please help.
    Thanks
    Kenny

    Thank you for the reply. But I need a way to enter env-entry value in ejb-jar.xml for EJB 3 in Jdev. In EJB 2, Jdev generate ejb-jar.xml for the bean and also let you add env-entry through bean's properties menu. But in there in no properties menu for EJB 3, also generated ejb-jar.xml is only a empty file doesn't contain any EJB depolyment information. That means you have to code ejb-jar.xml all manually.
    If I am wrong, can someone show me how to do this right?

  • BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT gives error KM701, but manual entry succeeds

    I have written a program which creates a new material using function module BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT. I get the following error:
    KM701 Profit center K100/12345 does not exist
    However, I can add the same profit center (12345) to the article in transaction MM42 without problems.
    I'm using the same user ID for the BAPI call (via RFC) and manual entry via MM42.

    you probably forgot the leading zeros for the profit center.

  • Cannot add journal entries programmatically

    Hi everyone
    I'm not able to insert Journal entries in the database.
    I'm using SAP Business One DI API Version 2007 and a copy of the database SBODemoUS. The code I'm using is inspired by the example in the SDK Help.
    I'm trying to add journal entries to the company database. When I execute the code, I get a System Message:
    [JDT1.Account][line:1],'Tax account has not been defined for the selected tax code', even though I'm not using a tax code. But when I assign a value to the property .TaxCode, I get a System Message: You can edit VAT fields only in Automatic VAT mode [JDT1.TaxCode][line: 1].
    I'm able to create journal entries manually in SAP B1 using the same information that I'm using in my code. But I cannot create journal entries programmatically.
    Here is the code that I'm using:
       Private Sub ImportJournalEntry()
          Dim rt As Long
          Dim errCode As Long
          Dim errMsg As String
          oCompany.Server = "PERSONNE-6D3DBE"
          oCompany.CompanyDB = "MYSBODEMO"
          oCompany.UserName = "manager"
          oCompany.Password = "manager"
          oCompany.language = 3
          oCompany.UseTrusted = False
          oCompany.DbServerType = BoDataServerTypes.dst_MSSQL2005
          oCompany.DbPassword = "sapwd"
          oCompany.DbUserName = "sa"
          rt = oCompany.Connect()

                entries.Lines.Debit = 0
                entries.Lines.Credit = 125

                oCompany.Disconnect()
             End Try
          End If
       End Sub
    Thanks for any help

    Hello Vitor
    Thanks, I got the code to work. You were right about debit or credit, not both. I also removed the tax code.
    But the main reason I think it didn't work is because the account code I was using was incorrect. Since the company is using segmentation for their account code, we are suppose to use the account key, not the account code. In order to get the account key I found this function:
    Private Function GetAccountKey(ByVal v_sAccountCode As String) As String
          Dim oSBObob As SAPbobsCOM.SBObob
          Dim oRecordSet As SAPbobsCOM.Recordset
          Dim oChartOfAccounts As SAPbobsCOM.ChartOfAccounts
          Dim sStr As String
          '// Get an initialized SBObob object
          oSBObob = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoBridge)
          '// Get an initialized Recordset object
          oRecordSet = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoRecordset)
          '// Get an initialized oChartOfAccounts object
          oChartOfAccounts = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oChartOfAccounts)
          '// Execute the SBObob GetObjectKeyBySingleValue method
          oRecordSet = oSBObob.GetObjectKeyBySingleValue(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oChartOfAccounts, "FormatCode", v_sAccountCode, SAPbobsCOM.BoQueryConditions.bqc_Equal)
          sStr = oRecordSet.Fields.Item(0).Value
          GetAccountKey = sStr
       End Function
    So the final code looks like this. Although I don't pretend to have perfect code, I'm able to add journal entries.
    Private Sub ImportTitan2()
          Dim rt As Long
          Dim errCode As Long
          Dim errMsg As String
          Dim sAccountKey As String
          oCompany.Server = "PERSONNE-6D3DBE"
          oCompany.CompanyDB = "MYSBODEMO"
          oCompany.UserName = "manager"
          oCompany.Password = "manager"
          oCompany.language = 3
          oCompany.UseTrusted = False
          oCompany.DbServerType = BoDataServerTypes.dst_MSSQL2005
          oCompany.DbPassword = "sapwd"
          oCompany.DbUserName = "sa"
          rt = oCompany.Connect()
          If rt <> 0 Then
             oCompany.GetLastError(errCode, errMsg)
          Else
             Dim entries As SAPbobsCOM.JournalEntries = DirectCast(Me.oCompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oJournalEntries), JournalEntries)
             Dim str2 As String
             Try
                entries.TaxDate = DateTime.Now.ToShortDateString
                entries.StornoDate = DateTime.Now.ToShortDateString
                entries.ReferenceDate = DateTime.Now.ToShortDateString
                'First line
                entries.Lines.SetCurrentLine(0)
                sAccountKey = GetAccountKey("112200000100101")
                entries.Lines.AccountCode = sAccountKey    'Account code
                entries.Lines.ShortName = sAccountKey
                entries.Lines.Credit = 300
                entries.Lines.Add() 'Add
                'Second line
                entries.Lines.SetCurrentLine(1)
                sAccountKey = GetAccountKey("611000000100101")
                entries.Lines.AccountCode = sAccountKey   'Account code
                entries.Lines.ShortName = sAccountKey

  • Manual Entries in BW

    Hi,
    We would like to know if there are any documentation on how to setup manual entries infocubes in BW ? Also how do you get the web report to accept manual entries ? Do you have to do any special programming ?

    Hello Mohd,
    You can use a transactional Infocube and BW-BPS. Here is a summary of the steps:
    1) Create a transaction Infocube with the needed Chars and KFs
    2) Create a planning area based on the Infocube in #1 (transaction BPS0).
    3) Create a Planning Level
    4) Create Manual Planning for your Planning Level
    5) Create a Planning Layout
    The detailed documentation can be found here (for BW3.5):

  • Defining the Fields for Manual Entries in Conditions Type

    Dear Team,
                      I want to define new fields in the Option Manual Entries in Condition Type eg PR00 . Can you tell me the Setting where do we define those settings and where are they control.
    Thanks,
    Prashant

    Hi
    The option provided for Manual Conditios are Hard Coded by the SAP, and you can not add any new option. If you want to check, pl. check the value range of Domain KMANU, where it is maintained.
    What is your requirement? May be you can fulfill your requirement by some other mean, like USER EXIT.

  • Add existing settype to product search

    Hello,
    I want to add the existing field basecategory (Relation ProductBaseCategory) to the product search in CRM.
    1. I have appended the new field to the search structure CRMT_PRIL_QUERY_ADVSEARCH_PROD
    2. I have created an entry in table CRMC_PRSEA_ATTR for my field. I have found the settype COMM_PR_CATEGORY which sounds suitable. But I cannot see the Attributes belonging to it. Does anybody know what is the attributes naem for the base category?
    Or has anybody another idea how I can add the BaseCategory to the Search Parameters?
    Thanks,
    Anne

    Hello Anne,
    Search based on Category ID is already present in standard.
    But I doubt, enhancing the search with base hierarchy would work since this field is not covered
    within existing standard search. ( I mean by underlying APIs).
    Best Regards,
    Shanthala.
