E_recruiting and ehancement pac -3

Hi All,
we recently went live with the whole hcm module PA,OM,Time, Payroll, Benfits,PD. the client is looking at e-recruitment and i have been asked to set up proof of concept  of erecruit with enhancement package 3. Any suggestions where to begin.
Jen.

Hello Jen,
you will not find alot of information to production installations of e-recruiting with EhP 3. As the ramp up phase ended at the beginning of june and the ramp up did not include many companies (do not know the exact number but i think it were about 10).
So far I did one of the production ramp ups (a customer which upgraded from e-recruiting 600 SPNN to EhP3) which is indeed productive but this is a special case as the customer has a lot of own development and even pre dliveries for next EhP so it's no reference system. Another ramp up customer which rolled out on EhP3 is not life yet. All customers which wanted EhP3 but not got into ramp up are currently evaluating the enhancement package or have started their upgrade projects.
In general the EhP3 is not a huge difference to the e-recruiting 600. There are some nice functional enhancements some things might be useful in the us but are not reqired for my region as recruiting works another way here. But in general it is no big change but more detail work so you can also check systems not having the EhP and perhaps check on special EhP3 topics if you really need them.
For the landscape installation there are some notes in the service marketplace but in general I have to say if you want to reduce trouble do a standalone installation. From my projects I cannot recommend to use the integrated solution with ECC.
For direct feedback from customers you will have to look for companies having e-recruiting 600 in general. As said before usually the HR bosses know each other well an just visit someone who already rolled out the solution so they can have a look on and get direct (not through sap sales filtered) feedback.
For documents there is the e-recruiting course at SAP, i think name is HR316 .But I have no idea how good it is. I have never attended it so I can only speculate that it's not going very deep into the details as it is the only course on this topic and if we do a general intoduction training it takes 5 days instead of SAPs 3. And after it you can follow the project but cannot rollout on your own w/o consultancy. I think I already posted in another thread - knowing where you put in the customizing does not mean you know what is the right stuff to put into.

  • Outlook and proxy PAC file

Using Outlook 2010 SP2 connecting to Exchange 2013 SP 1 with a PAC file (configured under Internet Options).  When the PAC file is not available, Outlook fails to connect to Exchange initially, upon hitting the retry button (on server unavailable
message), it connects just fine.  Not sure if this has to do with Outlook Anywhere or Outlook application in general, but it looks as if it does not fail open cleanly (like IE for example).  Is there a way to tell Outlook to connect to Exchange by
ignoring/bypassing the system wide proxy config from Internet Options?  I want to ensure that if the PAC file is not available to Outlook, it connects to Exchange without issues.

    Thank you for the update.
I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at this issue. There might be some time delay. Appreciate your patience.

  • IE8 Crash with native install of IE11 and using pac proxy file.

This issue seems to be specific to a windows 7 with a native install of IE11 and using a proxy pac file for configuration.  From what I can gather from the logs, all the right files are getting loaded from the package.
This is happening on 32 and 64 bit machines.  The IE8 was captured per VMWare specs and the IEShims.dll fix has been applied.
I have tried the 'wow64=0' setting as well as the 'AltArchitectureShortcut=0' in the package.ini file.  Neither of these settings seem to help.
    Any insight would be appreciated.

Updated the original message to match the correct issue.

So after much troubleshooting, I was able to find out that the file that was causing the issues is jsproxy.dll.  This file changed between Windows XP (which is where IE8 was captured from) and Windows 7.  There is one method missing in the XP version, InternetGetProxyInfoEx.  I only ran across this issue because we are using a pac file for our proxy assignments.  This seems to be a similar issue to the IEShims.dll fix from http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2038758.
This fix would be the same as the IEShims fix, copy the jsproxy.dll version from a windows 7 IE8 machine to the package and recompile.
Putting this out there in case anyone else runs across this issue.

  • Java proxy auto-configuration and Microsoft PAC script extensions

    Hi,
Within our proxy auto-configuration PAC script, we have to use the Microsoft IPv6 PAC script extensions such as myIPAddressEx rather than the old myIPAddress. This is required in order to get the PC's internal 10.0.0.0/8 IPv4 address rather than the IPv6 or wi-fi card addresses that are often returned when using myIPAddress.
However, as soon as we change from myIPAddress to myIPAddressEx, Java seems to be unable to process the PAC script.
Here are the extensions (introduced many years ago:
IPv6-Aware Proxy Helper API Definitions (Windows)
Question - does Java support these extensions or have plans to?
    Thanks,
    Kev.

Proxy auto config files are Javascripts that parse the requested URL and return a response to the browser telling it where to go to get the content.

  • Ironport WCCP and PAC

Can I run a single Ironport in a proxy redirection for one site and a pac file for a different site?

I'm assuming by site you mean business sites? or offices?  If so, then yes.  Turning on transparent redirection (eg. WCCP) doesn't turn off the explicit proxy (eg via a PAC file).
Really you can break it down to IP if you like, based on how crazy you want to be with the WCCP ACLs.

  • Free Goods Problem and User Exit if needed in Sales Order

    Hello All,
The problem is related to Free Goods in Sales Order which is given with an example -
We have maintained Free Goods ( T Code - VBN1) in inclusive scenario which is as follows -
For 210 PAC (Pack) of Material A 18 PAC Free.
Where 1 PAC = 20 BT (Bottle) and 20 PAC = 1 CV (Case Pack)
In the material master of Material A the Base Unit Of Measurement (UOM) = PAC and Sales UOM = Blank so that we can use any conversion factor maintained for the material.
The conversion factors maintained for Material A are as follows -
    1 BT = 1BT
    1 PAC = 20 BT
    1 CV = 20 PAC
Now when we are raising sales order for 11 CV the free goods are not generated in the Sale Order.
Again if we maintain the Sales UOM in CV and raise the sales order it is showing :
10 CV as main item and 1 CV as Free which is wrong because in the conversion factor we have already maintained 1CV = 20 PAC , Whereas in the inclusive scenario it is given 11CV = 210 PAC and 210 PAC = 18 PAC is free.So in any case it is taking into account 2 more PACs.
Please suggest what need to be done in this case in respect of User Exit or Source Code in ABAP if needed.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Bought Pac-Man, Downloads but will not show up in my libary. Charged 3 time

Ok, I went to the music store, then went to games and I signed in and purchased Pac-Man. Everything is cool, it downloads pretty quickly, I belive it was 8.28 mb or something like that and once its finished downloading it simply vanishes, it did not go in to my libary, or my playlist, I couldnt find it anywhere. So I checked my paypal account to see if the charge went through and when I bought movies from itunes before it charged me instantly, this time there was no charge. So I thought maybe it didnt purchase it so I try it one more time, the exact same thing happens, downloads and its no where to be found, then I check paypal still nothing, I tried one more time and it did the exact same thing. I checked my paypal the other day and it say -$15 from itunes, so i checked my invoice and it said pac-man x3 each one being $5 bucks. Its one thing to charged 3 times for the same thing but I dont even have the game to show for it. Yes I have a 5th gen ipod, yes I have the most current version of itunes and yes I had my itunes check for purchases, it says all my purchases have successfully downloaded. Does anyone know where my 3 pac-man games are, or what I need to do to get them?
    Thanks.
Tl;dr bought pac-man, downloads successfully but does not save/stay in my libary/itunes.

I had this exact same problem when I updated to iOS 7 , so I contacted iBooks there information to me was to completely reboot my iPad and iPhone 5s , and then when it's rebooted ( sorry delete the app before rebooting , my mistake ) after it's rebooted download app again , and ask for previous purchases to be restored , was done in seconds , and I lost 7 books , all on my devices now , if I don't read for a while they just automatically get put into the cloud , and just download to read , hope this helps . And please delete app before rebooting , john.

  • Is new software around for Ipod Nano 5G with the Nike sensor and Polar wearlink HeartRateMonitor to get spoken feedback on heartrate-zone, so you get a warning if your heartrate is higher or lower than the predefined range.

    I have:
Ipod Nano 5G with Nike+ sensor and Polar wearlink Heartrate monitor:
works fine, linking is easy, but....
Software is rather minimal: Heartrate is on the screen and you get feedback when the center-button is touched.
To get better results, more functions would be useful, like defining a heartrate zone (like Polar`s own-zone) and automatic spoken feedback if the heartrate is out of the pre-defined range. Also automatic spoken feedback on actual and average heartrate every pre-defined time-interval would be very useful: like the spoken feedback on distance and actual pace I get on my Iphone with Nike+GPS
    Anyone have any suggestions ?

I have the same issue! I purchased a nano 6th, polar hrm so I could run and receive spoken feedback when my heart rate was outside my preset zone.  My suunto t3 used to beep when outside the preset zones.  Automatic, periodic beeps or spoken feedback is the most important information to receive during exercise. I hope apple can update the software to add this simple yet critical feature.

  • Has anyone tried a modified PAC with Janus Procy

Hi, i have been tryin to get some privacy and speed with my firefox for android 35.0
And modified PAC url according to this site: about:reader?url=http%3A%2F%2Fradare.org%2Fcgi-bin%2Fwk%2FTOR&tabId=7 .::. I.e the one for iphone : http://radare.org/tor.pac much faster and hopefully more secure.. anyone tried something similar? It would be nice to be proxied through tor.. but my ip seems the same.

    Hi Tullemeck:
    # Not sure what you mean by Janus proxy! Do you mean Mozilla proxy called Janus i.e. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/janus-proxy-configurator/ and https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/janus-proxy-configurator/
    # Or do you mean something http://radare.org/y/
    # In any case it's hard to figure out what you did. Please let us know:
#* what you did, what you expected, what happened
#* what version of Android OS, what tablet or phone

  • Eap-fast and cckm

Is it possible to use eap-fast authentication with CCKM on 7920 phone with WLC.
It is working when configuring 802.1x and wep 104 bits on controller but it does not work with wpa1+wpa2.

If the client doesn't have a PAC and automatic PAC provisioning is enabled on the ACS, then the first authentication attempt will result in a failure, which is the session where the client will receive the PAC. The 7920 only supports automatic PAC provisioning. The default PAC settings should be ok, but may want to decrease or increase based on company's security policy. Also with CCKM, this will help when roaming with an expired PAC, otherwise there will be a 20 second gap in voice when roaming with an expired PAC, where a new PAC will need to be obtained.

  • PAC Provisioning Fails Without End-User Accepting PAC Pop-up

We have lots of workstation on wheels. We use EAP-Fast with Cisco ACS for authentication. When a user isn't in front of the WOW and the PAC pop-up times out, it disables the WOW and causes problems.
Has anyone used some form of auto-accept method with the Intel PRO-Set so as to not require end-user acceptance of the PAC pop-up message?

The provisioning of the Machine PAC, which is needed for machine context connections, is accomplished using the server certificate or machine security identity (SID). Machine PACs are only supported in newer versions of authentication servers (ACS 4.0 or later) which have been upgraded to support EAP-FAST v1a.
To make a make a machine connection before the PAC has been provisioned, the CA certificate used to trust the server certificate must be placed in the proper Windows Certificate Store (Local Computer-Trusted Root Store).
The host must also provide these machine credentials:
•Active Directory provided machine certificate. The authentication method must support the use of a certificate to provide machine client credentials - the server must be appropriately configured to call for an inner tunnel method of TLS.
•Active Directory provided SID (password). The authentication method must support the use of a password to provide machine client credentials.
Finally, the FAST authentication server must be configured for auto creation of administrator's unique machine PAC information.

  • Contact photos and CardDAV syncing?

I set up CardDAV syncing with Yahoo on my iPhone. It works well enough. I've also enabled syncing with Yahoo via iTunes because doing so stores things like contact photos and the like. The downside of this method is that I end up with 2 contacts on my iPhone (phone & CardDAV) for every contact. I can unify them on the phone, but I have to remember to do that when adding a contact.
I'd like to remove one of the iPhone stored contacts and use only the CardDAV contacts. Does anyone know if things like notes, contact photos and additional fields would be synced or backed up on my PC if I did this?

Could use some help in this matter as well.  I'm hoping that I can have my contact list photos match to the Facebook contact photo.  I've tried everything I can think of.  I go to my phone book list, pick a contact, try both the photo icon on the bottom and the "pac-man" looking link button along the top, then I get an add contact, and Facebook button pops up.  When I hit that it says to select contact (which all I have on the screen is a keyboard) so when I go to type in the contacts name, nothing happens.  Is there a way to do this?  I"ve tried reloading Facebook app from Market place (as was suggested in a forum) and still get nothing.  The only contact with a pic is mine?  Any help would be gretly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • ISE - EAP-FAST PAC Provisioning - Identity field??

Hi all, very simple question regarding the fields in the PAC provisioning section of ISE. Basically wondering what the "identity" field under machine and tunnel PAC is meant to be? I am currently planning an EAP-FAST deployment and this is the only area I am wondering about. Essentially planning to auto-provision the PAC hopefully using authenticate in-band. The Cisco doco is a little vague on this particular field.
Thanks in advance - have googled this for a day or so and frankly cannot find the information that I want.

    Use
    PAC
•Tunnel PAC Time To Live—The Time to Live (TTL) value restricts the lifetime of the PAC. Specify the lifetime value and units. The default is 90 days. The range is between 1 and 1825 days.
•Proactive PAC Update When: of PAC TTL is Left—The Update value ensures that the client has a valid PAC. Cisco ISE initiates an update after the first successful authentication but before the expiration time that is set by the TTL. The update value is a percentage of the remaining time in the TTL. The default is 90%.
•Allow Anonymous In-band PAC Provisioning—Check this check box for Cisco ISE to establish a secure anonymous TLS handshake with the client and provision it with a PAC by using phase zero of EAP-FAST with EAP-MSCHAPv2. To enable anonymous PAC provisioning, you must choose both of the inner methods, EAP-MSCHAPv2 and EAP-GTC.
•Allow Authenticated In-band PAC Provisioning—Cisco ISE uses SSL server-side authentication to provision the client with a PAC during phase zero of EAP-FAST. This option is more secure than anonymous provisioning but requires that a server certificate and a trusted root CA be installed on Cisco ISE.
When you check this option, you can configure Cisco ISE to return an Access-Accept message to the client after successful authenticated PAC provisioning.
–Server Returns Access Accept After Authenticated Provisioning—Check this check box if you want Cisco ISE to return an access-accept package after authenticated PAC provisioning.
•Allow Machine Authentication—Check this check box for Cisco ISE to provision an end-user client with a machine PAC and perform machine authentication (for end-user clients who do not have the machine credentials). The machine PAC can be provisioned to the client by request (in-band) or by the administrator (out-of-band). When Cisco ISE receives a valid machine PAC from the end-user client, the machine identity details are extracted from the PAC and verified in the Cisco ISE external identity source. Cisco ISE only supports Active Directory as an external identity source for machine authentication. After these details are correctly verified, no further authentication is performed.
When you check this option, you can enter a value for the amount of time that a machine PAC is acceptable for use. When Cisco ISE receives an expired machine PAC, it automatically reprovisions the end-user client with a new machine PAC (without waiting for a new machine PAC request from the end-user client).
•Enable Stateless Session Resume—Check this check box for Cisco ISE to provision authorization PACs for EAP-FAST clients and always perform phase two of EAP-FAST (default = enabled).
Uncheck this check box in the following cases:
–If you do not want Cisco ISE to provision authorization PACs for EAP-FAST clients
–To always perform phase two of EAP-FAST
When you check this option, you can enter the authorization period of the user authorization PAC. After this period, the PAC expires. When Cisco ISE receives an expired authorization PAC, it performs phase two EAP-FAST authentication.
•Preferred EAP Protocol—Check this check box to choose your preferred EAP protocols from any of the following options: EAP-FAST, PEAP, LEAP, EAP-TLS, and EAP-MD5. By default, LEAP is the preferred protocol to use if you do not enable this field.

  • 2 weeks to get a PAC from BT

Don't sign up for BT Mobile unless you know you have good network coverage! I was happily with O2 but moved to an area with no 02 coverage. As we already used BT Broadband, I signed up with BT Mobile, and was assured that if network coverage was bad I would easily be able to cancel and move to another provider. Signing up was very rapid, SIM arrived in no time, and 02 immediately provided a PAC to move my existing number to BT. But no BT mobile coverage at home or in the near area... So I immediately got back to BT and cancelled my contract. 2 days later, no PAC... 1 week later, still no PAC. 10 days later, still no PAC. 2 weeks later, still no PAC... I kept on being told that the account was still "open" and a PAC could not be issued until it was closed. Technical staff were working on it, and would keep me informed. Although I told them they had to phone on my land line, they tried to contact me on my mobile - even though they knew I had no network coverage! Stephen, Mandy, Aileen, Jasmin etc all tried to help during excruciatingly long and slow "chats". An email even arrived from "Libby Barr" who is supposed to be in charge. Is this person real? You can't speak with her, and she won't phone you. What fantastic service for a communications company. No one was properly listening to me, and although chat and phone staff were very pleasant, I had to endlessly repeat the same information, to no effect. Yesterday - hurrah! - I was finally given a PAC, strangely enough not long after asking for a deadlock letter so that I could take my complaint to the regulator. But what a horrible, time-consuming process to go through. It does not need to be like this.

Hi Brait, can you tell me what a deadlock letter is? I also am having problems with BT and I am also getting bad service as you can see here.
