E-Recruiting - Candidate number changes when hired?

Hi,
Can anybody tell me whether the candidate number of the applicant changes when the hiring activity gets triggered and he is hired?
How we can differentiate between internal candidate and external candidate?
If the candidate number is not going to change, how an external candidate becomes internal candidate in E-Rec?
Points will be awarded appropriately.

Hello Naresh,
Yes candidate id remains same and the person is allocated with new employee id.
Both the candidates are created as Business partners in SAP.If you look at the table BUT000 the field persno carries the Employee id for the Internal Candidate and for external candidate it is blank.

Reason behind error msg for number range when hiring through PA40

Hello Gurus,
I am getting the following error message when hiring thru PA40.
"No valid interval found(internal number assignment)"
Internal number range is already defined and the system is picking up the number from the defind range. When we press "return" button, the system accepts the input asks the user to save the data. The whole action is runnig fine except the error message.
Can you please explain why such error is comming?

Manual Check Number changes when checks for payment is printed

Hi Guyz,
Can you help me on this issue. I don't know why it overrides when i try to print the Checks for Payment. It also changes the manual check number i entered in the payment means. Is there a settings that can be set? please advise. thanks.

The main goal of manual check number (at the Outgoing Payment) is to register a check that was written manually.
For example: The person in charge of the purchases in the company goes to a supplier and write down a manul check to pay the merchandise.
When he/she return to the office informs the check number, vendor, amount to the registered in the system.
As the check in already in vendor hands you don't need to print again.
SAP Business One will change the (manual or not) check everytime you print it.
In case of you want to assign a manual number you can do it via Document Printing -> Checks For Payment.
When the screen comes up to select the documents to be printed, you can type the number in the box 'Next Check Number'.

The idoc number changes when I execute it in WE19

Hi,
I am executing an inbound idoc with message type ORDERS in WE19. I then choose the relevant inbound function module, choose the foreground processing and then execute in debug mode.
The control then goes inside the function module. I then check the table IDOC_CONTROL which refers to EDIDC. Here I find that the idoc_contrl[1]-DOCNUM refers to a different idoc number. This number is a different one everytime I execute the WE19. Why is this so?

In most cases WE19 is used as a test tool , apart from this in case of any changes are required in the fields present in the segment, immediate changes can be done using WE19. For eg if the Posting Period for a FIDCC2 has to be changed to a previous date on which the posting would actually be executed, it can done using WE19.
IDocs generated for purely testing purpose maybe in a preproduction environment before bringing it live to a production environment, to check for the validity of the data along with the generation of fields WE19 is used.

Item Number changes when PDF using SAP PDF icon, incorrect item number ?

In Germany we PDFd a purchase order using SAPs internal PDF button
(2005 patch level 44). We found that it screwed up one of the item
numbers in the order. The item number should have been 921449-2.5 the
PDF showed 921449-5.2 We printed normally and used an external PDF
application, both showed the correct item number. Is this a known issue?

Cheque number changes automaticaly after taking the print out

Dear All,
The scenario is after taking the print of cheque the cheque number changes automatically.
Suppose the cheque number is 122222.
After printing it changes to 1,2 etc.
Why is it happening?
I am using SAP 8.8 PL 15.

Say for example if the Activity of an candidate is changed to "Status Change - Rejected", will an email will be generated?

some general thoughts at the beginning:
Candidates do not have a rejected state. Candidate states are profile locked and profile released. Only applications and candidacies have a rejected state. It is very important for a technical view to have the obect types in e-recruiting very clear or you will get into big trouble sooner or later.
SAP delivered workflows are examples. They do not fit a production environment. Also the sap delivered activity and process customizing is an example (and no good one) you will have to design this according to the business needs in the project.
For the workflow question. It is possible to trigger a workflow by activity creation and activity completion. For status chage activities ths is the same as they are completed directly and never have status planned. The BOR object ERC_ACTIV contains both events, activtycreated is triggered directly, activitycompleted needs a note to run properly.
It is also possible to trigger a workflow by a status change of an object. The super BOR object ERC_OBJECT contains a statuschanged event, which is raised for all status changes of NA, NB, NC, ND and NE objects.
For rejection there are basically 2 scenarions.
Scenario 1
When rejecting a candidacy by creating a rejection activity you trigger a workflow based on the activity to create the corresponces activity automatically. You can either send it directly or just create it to allow the user to have an individual text. (I do not go into details of this workflow according to the chosen application-candidacy-relation, that would go to far at this point).
Scenario 2
When rejecting a candidacy directly in minimum data entry you do not have a status change activity as the status is set directly. In this case you have a workflow which is triggered directly by the status chang which again creates (and sends) the correspondence activity.
Of course you need checks to ensure the two workflows are not mixed.

i just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. Try to change the credit information from your iphone or other ios device. Tap on settings > store > tap Apple ID > tap view account > tap payment information > change

Yep - I was only looking at Text Size.

Set your region to one that speaks a language other than arabic.

I hve unlocked iphone and got walmart family mobile. I was issued a phone number initially with phone and then I had them change it. Now when I send texts caller id people see is the original phone number, and when I call it is the new number.

This is for iMessages only, not for text messages as in SMS/MMS.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID.
Select your Apple ID and at the menu window that appears, select Sign Out.
Turn iMessage off at Settings > Messages > iMessage.
Then follow these instructions.
You can remove an iPhone from your support profile by following these steps.
Step 1: Click on this link to open the login window of your support profile.
Step 2: Log into the website using your Apple ID – same as your iTunes login.
Step 3: Click on the button ‘Edit products’ and select the iPhone that you want to remove from the list.
Step 4: Click on the arrow behind the product, and then click on the button ‘Unregister’ to delete the iPhone from your support profile.
After you unregister your iPhone, on your iPhone go to Settings > Messages > iMessage and turn iMessage on.

E-Recruiting - CANDIDATE and EMPLOYEE/PERNR

I need to create reports for internal sourcing[ employees apply for another position in the organization].
E-Recruiting and HR coexist on same serverclinet...
Question 1 - Is CANDIDATE object same as PERNR object if the the CANDIDATE is internal recruit/template ?
Question 2 - If answer to question 1 is NO, then How to link these two ojects CANDIDATE & PERNR , other than reading HRP1001, is there any static table being maintained ?
Question3 - Confiimation - There exist a way to relate CANDIDATE and EMPLOYEE using HRP1001.Yes/No ?

for your Questions:
Question 1
No the candidate is an own object (otype is NA) and therefore gets an own Id
Question 2
In all releses lower than E-Recruiting 600 EhP4 SP6 there is no such table. With SP6 there is a special caching table for performance optimization in the candidate selection which might include the needed information (i am not fully sure as I currently can't access a system to check)
Question 3
The candidate (NA) and the employee (P) are related via object central person (CP). The NA-CP-P relations can be resolved by reading HRP1001. Unfortunately this relation is not sufficient to identify an internal candidate. in addition to the existing relation the field IS_INACTIVE of HRP5102 has to be space otherwise it is an former employee how left the company.
When you start developing reporting functions for sap e-recruiting you should first check if an existing standard function already fullfills your requirements. The reporting for e-rec is not that great but for some smaller requirements the existing infosets might work. If you come to the result that you need developments you have to be aware of the data scenario in the application. Reports on internal applications based on the candidate type are only working for current snapshots e.g. open internal applications today. Historical reporting is not possible that way because of the missing historization of e-recruiting data. E.g. if an external candidate applies and is hired the candidate is switched to internal candidate. So if you report back in time on candidate type you would get this external application as internal. Such kind of reporting has to be based on other data which does not change over time.
