E-Recruiting Invite to Apply Activity

In E-Recruiting (we have 6.0) there is a delivered corresponsdence HRRCF_CS_EXA_APPL_REQUEST which is associated with the 1050 Invite to Apply Activity.  We have assigned this activity to TRM (Talent Relationship Mangement) and to Applicant Entry in Candidate Shortlist.  The delivered correspondence will pull the Job Title, Reference Code, etc from the requistion/posting. 
If processing this activity from TRM, I don't see a way to associate the invitation with a requisition from there.  I understand that the correspondence could be customized to add the req info, but that is a lot of manual work.  If you do it from the Candidate Shortlist, the req information shows on the Invitation, but in order to do that, they already have to have an application, so it doesn't make sense to perform this activity from Candidate Shortlist.
Can someone help me understand how this Invite to Apply activity is supposed to be used?

yes it might not prevent the recruiter working with him.
But the key activities you can use for the process, might be defined on ND (application). So you cannot create them, if there is no application. E.G. the acknowledgement letter or the rejection letter.
If the candidate does not apply, you just can reject him. So he will move out of the list. The standard implementation will not create a rejection letter in this case. Just in case, an application is existing.
So you might distinguish activities for internal processing on each assignment (NE) and activities for application specific communication (ND).
But this is something you need to design. In case of a normal processing, a recruiter normally looks on what already happened ( which activities were created ). So he will just move on if all preconditions are fulfilled. So you need a process design.

  • How to see "Apply Activity Test Metrics"

    Hi, experts
    I have made a model through "Apply Activity" based on "Build Activity".
    During the process creating "Apply Activity", I have chose a "Build Activity"
    and chose "Apply Data Source".
    After "Apply Activity" has been created, I wanted to see test metrics for it.
    But I could not find the test metrics for "Apply Activity". I could see only
    the test metrics for "Build Activity".
    Could you please help me how to see test metrics for "Apply Activity"?

    Hi,
    If you have a separate set of test data that you want to test, you should create a "test activity" referencing the "build activity". This will produce a test metric result for you to review.
    The "apply activity" is primarily used for predicting on data that has an unknown target value.

    I have a biz gold amex.  I'm planning on getting the platinum biz amex.  So in the end don't need the gold biz card. Anyone have any experience with this offer from Amex?  "Congratulations!   • E-Recruitment-Succession Planning-Final Activity.

    Hello Every one,
    I am working on E-rec Succession Planning, ERP 2005.
    When we perform the Succession planning for any position, we get potential candidates. It is also possible to perform certain activities on the Candidates,
    Ex:Assigning Mentor, Sending Invitations, Correspondence etc...
    My doubt is, what is the final activty within the Succession Planning Cycle to be performed on the candidates.?
    Similar Example: Within E-Recruitment, Recruitment Cycle, I believe
    ""Data Transfer for new Employees"" is the final activity where the data is transferred to the HR System.
    Any one who worked on E-recruitment Succession Planning kindly share some inputs.

    The final point of Succession planning is the Vacancy. That means, if i assign any successor, that position will become vacant, then if i assign the corresponding successor, then that will become Vacant, this cycle will go up to the last level and trigger  the Vacancy for the Final Position.

    Hi,
    could you give some additional information on your requirement?
    If you need support for the every day work of the recruiter there are standard bsp applications (up to ehp 3) and work sets (for ehp 4 sp 4 and higher) which show the planned activities and planned correspondences for them.
    If you need some statistic over all recruiters the are some infosets but I never used them as they never met the requirements in my projects. I'd probably write some report reading the activity infotypes (tables HRP5135 to HRP5142/43 or 45 depending on your e-rec release) directly. For statistics please keep in mind that recruiters tend to not complting all of their activities. So you might gather tons of data from candidacies / applications which belong to requisitions which are already closed.

  • In E-Recruitment after EHP4 correspondece activity is giving an error

    Hi,
    We are currently SAP ECC 6.0 with EHP4 , after EHP4 implementation we are getting an error on running the correspondence actvivity for any candidate.The Error is given below.
    "The selected letter template does not contain a changeable letter section"
    All the letter templates have been developed using smart forms.
    The steps that i have followed is given below
    Recruiter's Login->Under Candidate Selection->Select any candidate->Run an actvity say Acknowledge Application-> It displays the error.
    Please provide me a solution at the earliest.

    Hi Rk,
    the message you get is not really an error. It just says that there is no changable letter section for a text which can be correct as not every letter has to be changable. Of course some should be. There you need the table mentioned above T77RCF_INCL2FORM.
    If you need a correspondence with the changable letter section you have to create a text block in t-code SMARTFORMS. Then you assign the textblock to a certain correspondence smartform by maintaining T77RCF_INCL2FORM via IMG. Only one changable letter section can be maintained per correspondence.
    Once you have done this you should see the content of the text block within the recruiter ui, when choosing the correspondence smartform for an activity.

  • Applying Active state of top level nav. menu to child pages

    I am trying to keep a consistent look across the child pages of a top level site. I'd like the main navigation bar to remain in an active state for the parent page while the user navigates the child pages associated with that page using submenus. Ideally, I'd like the active state to remain on the top level menu so that the user knows they are still within that parent while they drill down to the specific information they are looking for.
    Brand new at this and am truly your 'no HTML' experience, just design work gal. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Email sending in Activity Management for E-recruiting

    Hi Everyone
    I am using E-rec on EP4. And I am trying to use the Email sending functionality in Applicant management in recruiting. It's the part where a recruiter acknowledges the receipt of an application/resume and the recruiter needs to send notification using the email function of the Invite to Apply activity where you use a letter template and you press the Send Email function. When I click that Send Email function. I get and error that says ' 1 document could not be created or processed'.
    Does anyone have that same error? What am I missing and what should I do to set that up.

    For this same message, we have done all the mentioned config and created a new Z Custom Smart form but while creating the activity, we are getting this error - 1 Document cannot be created.
    SLG1 Log says -
    The incorrect HR object has the key 01NE00100504
    The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_CANDIDACY============CM00B line 77
    Please let me know what I am missing.

  • SFRecruitment - Invite a candidate for apply

    Hi ,
    I wanted to activate a Forwarded candidate to apply , but the Invite to apply is inactive .
    I am not able to find this setting in the system's. admin tool.
    Admin Tools > E-Mail Notification Templates Settings > Enable Invite Candidate to Apply
    Please let me know if there is any other setting for this.

    Indeed infotype 105 subtype 001 is mandatory for creation of BP which in turn is essential for NA, CP etc
    class CL_HRRCF_ALE_EE_INBOUND method DO_ALE_POST_PROCESSING / method
    REATE_CANDIDATE performs the following activities :
    The method reads the email address from the data of BP
    The standard ALE inbound processing links idoc data of IT0105 with
    that of IT5585
    The method uses BP and CP to create an internal candidate NA.
    The method also creates an entry in IT5102 for the candidate
    So without this email address being stored hence you can find many errors
    Just as an aside..from ALE developers there were 3 new notes recently released which clean up many issues with email integration with BP etc
    - Notes 1499589 and 1582647 in all your instances where the "HR
      integration in BP" (roles "employee" and "organizational unit" is
      activated.
    - Note 1540502 in your e-Recruiting instances.
    - Note 1556918 in your HR instances.

  • E-Recruiting - workflow created activity does not attach questionnaire

    Hi,
    I am wondering if this is "as-designed" behavior or if I have an error somewhere.
    I have a custom workflow that runs when the recruiter creates an interview activity. The workflow creates an "Interview Feedback" activity for the hiring manager. This is working fine except the questionnaire is not assigned to the activity. But if the recruiter creates an interview feedback activity manually, then the questionnaire is automatically assigned.
    The requisition does have a process template assigned, that assigns the questionnaire for the activity type. In the workflow I am passing the candidacy object as HROBJECT to the tandard "erc_activ.createfromdata" task.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue?

    When an activity of type 9032 is created for the same candidacy manually, in HRP5141 the field QA_TPL_OBJID is assigned the value 50004988. However when the workflow creates the 9032 activity as described above, HRP5141-QA_TPL_OBJID is blank, and so when the user accesses the activity they find there is no questionnaire attached.
    I am not sure how to use your suggestion to solve this problem. Can you clarify?

    An external candidate sends a hard copy and it was entered manually into e-recruiting system. When an invitation to apply for a specific job sent to a candidate, how the candidate gets the log-on.

    The role of the unregistered candidate is assigned to persons who have
    not yet registered their data in the Talent Warehouse but who are
    interested in taking up new employment. The unregistered candidate is
    used as service user for E-Recruiting applications to give a person
    access to these applications without the person having to register his
    or her data beforehand in the Talent Warehouse.
    Activities in SAP E-Recruiting:
    The unregistered candidate performs the following activities:
    -> Searching for jobs
    -> Registering
    -> Applying for jobs after registration
    -> Requesting a new password.
    An external candidate uses unregistered search and incase he finds
    suitable vacancy then he applies for it.For applying to that vacancy
    system ask him to update first name, last name and email address.
    Now system should send a username & password to this external candidate
    on his provided email address.So that he don't need to register again to
    E-Recruitment application.
    In our E-Recruitment system we have a user with name wf-batch which is
    used to send all the recruitment related emails to candidate
    automatically.Please check in your system this user has some missing
    authorizations.
    Kindly assign this user with authorization profile, authorization to
    change the status of E-Recruiting objects (P_RCF_STAT).

  • E-recruiting: Change of the sender in reject  e-mail for candidate

    In e-recruiting 6.0 we needed modify the direction of the sender in reject  e-mail for candidate (activity u201Cnotification rejectu201D).
    At the moment, when a notification reject is sent, it appears the personal electronic direction of the recruiter who executes the activity (notification reject). The personal electronic direction (of recruiter) is registered in infotipo 105 subtype 0010.
    It is required that the sender direction is a generic direction (for example: work_with_us@example).
    ¿How I can realise this change?

    in addition to the two solutions already mentioned I'd like to throw in the following two options:
    Instead of linking a workflow to every activity creation you could build an easy background job which runs once in a while sending the planned simple correspondences and invitations. The result would be the same as the workflow solution the sender is the user under which the job s planned.
    More flexible as not hard build in and development free would be a solution using the open correspondences function. You create a dummy user with the work_with_us@example e-mail using report RCF_CREATE_USER. This user is used to send all open correspondences and invitations manually. Of course this is more processing steps for the recruiters but if you need flexibility this is the price to pay.

    Hello Bharat,
    as u probably could find the sap help on your own a direct answer here in the forums.
    The process template defines a subset of the available activities which are probably used for the requisition (or more often for the whole target group as you do not make a process template for each requisition). The process template is supposed to make things easier for the recruiter so he only sees what he needs, but this is only a suggestion noone forces him to use all of these activities and the sequence is only for display purposes.
    So if you have activities and correspondences which are only for a certain target group like your trainee program or ppl applying for professional training you can hide these activities in the process templates for other requisitions as they won't be used there anyways.
    In standard delivery the recruiter has always the possibility to switch to the display of all activities and create any activity which is customized. In large scale rollouts with very differenciated processes for companies and target groups I tend to restrict this by modification so only key users with a customer authorization are allowed to do. Still the recruiter can create any activity which is in his process template for the requisition at any time.
