E-Recruiting Popup warning released profile

Hi Experts,
I have a request from a client. The client would like to see the popup warning at the end of an application removed, step "Send application".
The popup warning appears when the candidate has not checked "Release profile".
I have looked in the configurator, SPRO etc. but no luck! Be able to hide all the text fields, but not the entire popup box.
This candidate side is using WD, and we are on a e-Rec 603.

Hello Christian,
the popup cannot be hidden by customizing in spro. You will have to do an enhancement or a modification in the component controller of web dynpro component HRRCF_C_APPL_SEND_UI in method REQUEST_POPUP. If you want to generally hide the profile release flag in the send application screen you can place a pre- and a post enhancement which set the flag at the beginning and delete it afterwards to bypass the popup. Otherwise you need either to do a modification or store the flag anywhere global to set it back in the post exist.
If you want to hide this popup you might want to check back with your customer if they also want to suppress the popup for profile release when entering the startpage of the external candidate. You can find this in web dynpro component HRRCF_C_STARTPAGE -> COMPONENTCONTROLLER -> method RAISE_POPUP_NOTIFICATIONS.

Open a Finder window. Select MacintoshHD in the Sidebar on the left. Now open the Library folder then the InputManagers folder.
Move these files to the Trash: CTLoader/ctloader.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ctloader
Now from that same Library folder open the Application Support folder. Move these files to the Trash:
Conduit/Plugins/cttoolbar.bundle/Contents/MacOS/ct_plugins
Relaunch Safari.
The Community Toolbar is not compatible with recent versions of Safari.

Deactivate Scheduling Agreement Release Profile

Hi,
We have configured scheduling agreement release profile for JIT and forecast delivery schedules.
For some reasons we do not want to use the release profile, we do not wont schedule line release using ME84.
Can any one pls suggest how to deactivate the release and also if any other settings has to be unchecked.

Changing the setting from 2 to 1 in source list will not be relevant as schedule lines has to be generated while MRP run.
I understand that if the material is checked for JIT in material master and when the Doc type is LPA then the scheduling agreement automatimatically goes for release. Correct me if I am wrong.
Should the config setting for creation profile to be deleted from SPRO settings.
Pls lemme know.

Hi Prasad,
Aparna point is absolutely correct. From usage point of view, date is the only difference.
There are 2 options to release forecast from DP to SNP.
1. Demand Planning -> Planning -> Release -> Release to Supply Network Planning.
2. By creating Rlease profile, activity , planning job, etc
1 is used for online purpose & for few product/location combinations. However 2 is used for the mass processing.
Use 1 to release a limited amount of data (a few product / location combinations only) from Demand Planning to Supply Network Planning. Do not use it for mass releases, for example large planning books.
If you try to release too much data with this transaction, memory problems are likely, since the system tries to read all the data
simultaneously. For mass processing, use 2 - Releasing the Demand Plan with Mass Processing.
Decision is based on data volume & performance.

Hi,
You use release profile in case you want to release the job in the background and MC90 is a interactive transaction. I guess the main difference is with the time horizon. In release profile, you have no where to define the release horizon all the demand in the specified planning book time bucket profile is released. Wher as in MC90, you can specify your own horizon.
The forecast in DP once released to Livecache makes no difference being in SNP or PPDS except that PPDS supports descriptive characteristics.
So, releasing demand from SNP and PPDS is same and really speaking it's released from Live cache order series to SP time series.
You can use the transaction /sapapo/lcout for this.

Warning -- Release Preview + T60p = Fail

General warning to those thinking about trying Windows 8, release preview, on a T60p. Not sure what they did with release preview, but it's simply awful. It doesn't recognize nearly any of the drivers for T60p hardware -- most notably the display adapter for the ATi FireGL V5250. Not only is the display resolution atrocious, but it's very, very slow: the mouse skips across the screen as if moving the mouse is a difficult task.
It should be noted that I installed the release preview onto my installation of Windows 8 "consumer preview" which I had previously installed months before. The earlier Windows 8 consumer preview actually worked quite well on the T60p, recognized the Windows 7 drivers I had for my hardware, and even permitted me to use all of my old programs that I was using in Windows 7.
After installing release preview onto my consumer preview, I simply could no longer use my system. After about a day of trying to troubleshoot all the driver problems, I decided to install Ubuntu 12.04, which began working flawlessly (driver-wise). However, because of some compatibility issues at work, my T60p is now back to running Windows XP.

It seems that some people are getting the Vista driver to work with the Windows 8 preview.
Lenovo won't provide support for Windows 8 until it's official release.

E-Recruiting 6.0: Search Profile & Search Template

Hi Experts,
I am trying to enhance and configure the Search function (which can be triggered in Talent Management or Candidate Selection Search) in E-Recruiting 6.0
Can anyone tell me the difference in config/purpose between the config:IMG->SAP E-Recruiting->Recruitment->Talent Warehouse->Candidate->Candidate Search, Search Profile and Search Template?
I read the online help and it only describe about Search Template and not Search Profile. I also check the standard system and it only displays what is configured for Search Template and NOT Search Profile.
Is the Search Profile still in use and what is the purpose if I have already configured the Search Template?

Hello Bill,
unfortunately the information that an internal candidate has left (or will leave - in this case the is_inactive flag will be set at the leave date via a periodical service processing table t77rcf_p_stat) can be easily seen on the databese but not in the e-recruiter applications.
I am not really sure if the employee id should disappear in candidacy table or not (customers see this different according to their attitute to rehiring people) but in general sap did not implement alot of functionalities to differ between internal and external candidates. Ok there is something for correspondence but it is not even possible to have different questionaires in the application wizard for external iand internal applicants.
In my opinion I'd assume that an employee applying on an internal position and leaving in the process is a 1 of 1000 case, as long as the process does not take eternities so I personally would not invest much effort into it. You cannot handle every special case in a system (or at leat noone pays for it) and from my experience in companies up to perhaps 2k employees, everyone in HR knows who leaves.
If you really have a strong business need in this issue, e.g. positions are published internally and once someone leaves has imedeately taken of the position you could use the the e-recruiting BAdI which is available in the BAdI implementation delivered by SAP to handle the candidate creation and stuff. You could add functionality into it that it tracks if there is a leave and the candidate has open applications and send the recruiter of the requisition an email. Other solution might be a periodical service or any other background job which checks this and destributes the information so the recruiter can take the necessary actions.

Warning: ColorSync Profile change

Warning: The default icc-color profile (ColorSync Profile) exporting images out of Aperture is sRGB! AND the Export Presets switch back to sRGB after changing. This happens with the own Export Presets too. I think this is a bug.

My Resume after a lot of tests:
* Pictures without a ICC color profile got a sRGB Profile without asking.
* Export RAW Pictures out of Aperture from my Nikon D70 with the embedded Adobe-RGB ICC profile using "Use Source Profile" ends into a profile called "Linear RGB" opening the file in Photoshop.
There are no problems with Photoshop embedded ICC-Profiles. This is RAW (Nikon D70) only.
* Export Presets always switch back to sRGB after changing. This happens with my own Export Presets too. (Using "Export Version")
Are there other People with this problem?

Popup warning message

Hi i have to give a warning message in the form of popup, in user exit , can any one suggest.

Use one of te POPUP* function modules. Warning message will not popup but will be displayed in the status bar.
If you don't want to use POPUP FUNCTION, then give the same warning message twice, then first message will popup, not the right way of doing it though.

Issue with Popup Warning in SaveAndClose Panel

I have a requirement to show a warning message based on Validation of some fields to get user input . Then I try to Commit or not Commit the data.
But the popup is not getting launched before completing the method.
When I run Click on Save or SaveandClose button , if Validation method below returns false, popup wont be launched immediately, until it reaches end of Save/SaveCllose Action methods.
Because of this I am not able to capture the user response and proceed accordingly.
Here is the example code:

It has Save and SaveAndClose Rendered and is based on Application Panel (I can have toolbar buttons also )

It works fine when validation method returns true. No issue as there is no need for Warning.
When validation fails I cant proceed with user response before completing action methods.

Hi,
you cannot interrupt processing of a managed bean method. You need to break up the methods in a part that runs for evaluating the success of validation- If validation fails you open a popup with a dialog. You then listen for the dialog OK or Cancel button being oressed and proceed accordingly. If you need to transfer context information between the two actions, use memory scope attributes

E-Recruiting recuiter cannot release a requisition.

Hi,
We need to mantain an e-recruiitng SAP system with approvals in requisition management.
Our client wants the manager (role Restricted Recruiter) to make the requisition but it must be release by the recruiter (role Recruiter).
I can do the step of creating the requisition, choose the recruiter in a list of recruiters and send the requisition by the worflow. The recruiter recives an email with the alert and can see the requisition in his dashboard.
But when he wants to release the requisition, the button is deactivated. So it´s imposible for him change the status and publish the requisition.
I don´t know if the problem is in the roles or in the workflow. My recruiter has the role SAP_RCF_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 and the workflow ends without errors.
Somebody can help me?

Hi,
the restricted recruiter scenario creates a workitem which should be displayed in the UWL of the connected Portal.
From there the recruiter can release the requisition.
Why don't you use the requisition request form within the MSS package?

E-Recruiting: Problems with search profile and serach templates

Hi Recruiting-Experts,
I´m facing problems with "Search Profiles" and "Search Templates"
(Customizing SPRO --> SAP-E-Recruiting --> Recruitment --> Talent Warehouse --> Candidate --> Candidate Search )
Out customers wants me to add a new search criterion to the talent search. It's a customer-field (type 'd' --> Date) belonging to infotype 5106.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. The hit list is always empty.
What I did:
Customizing (see above)
Updated search profile (report RCF_RECREATE_SEARCH_PROFILES)
The result:
I can see and choose the new search criterion on talent warehouse search site (recruiters startpage)
I can find the data (internal format yyyymmdd) via transaction SKPR07 (see XML below, ZZEARLIEST_ENTRY 20090901)
By the way, the hit list is also empty when adding and searching for birthdate.
Has it got to do with the date stored in internal format?

Stubborn webDAV related popup warning: How can it be eliminated?

I need help to get rid of the popup that is shown in the image attachement below.
It will appear every time I open and try to edit something in the following apps:
-Contacts
-iWeb
-iMovie
-iDVD
I used to have a custom social network in Ning.com by the year 2009.
To acces the files there was an option to connect to the folders through the Finder option "Connect to server" via webDAV.
I closed (took offline) the page of the social network a year later, in 2010.
Ning deleted it completely on January 2011.
But since I closed it, every time I open one of the apps mentioned above, I got that popup.
When started I was using Snow Leopard.
I upgraded to Lion. The issue continued.
I upgraded to Mountain Lion. The issue still continues.
Any idea on how to solve this bug?

E-Recruiting : Creation of Search Profile for custom infotypes

Dear experts,
Can anyone let me know if you have created search profiles for custom infotypes in eRecruiting?
The requirement is for the TREX to be able to search for Candidates based on the fields which are defined in this custom infotype. This infotype (9999) is completely custom defined mapped to object NA.
In the IMG,
I don't have to change the search profile type
I created a new Z Information category.
Here, i have to specify an extraction class for this Z Information Category.
Can anyone please tell me what this should be? Can i give it as "CL_HRRCF_CEC_INFOTYPE" ?
Also, can anyone please mention the significance of the table "T77RCF_SPT_INFTY " and how we should be handling the entries here for our custom infotype ? Should we create a custom class to specify here? How should we do this ?
Any inputs & thoughts regarding this will be invaluable.
Needless to say, i created the Z information category with the class CL_HRRCF_CEC_INFOTYPE but when i run the report RCF_RECREATE_SEARCH_PROFILE,It is giving me a lot errors.

To answer your question, Yes, automatic generation of NA for newly hired/created PERNR (P) is because of the integration you have activated between PA and eRecruit via BADI implementations. Look at OSS note 997181 for details on how integration works.
If you dont need integration between PA and eRecruit on PA40 then you may have to tweak the BADI's.
