E-Recruiting questionnaire for users using Enterprise Portal

Dear All,
We use Enterprise Portal 6.0 for internal candidates to access e-Recruiting 3.0.
Users do not need to have password to e-Recruiting as they can access as communication user with SSO.
However, when recruiter sends a questionnaire to internal candidates, they need to logon with credentials to e-Recruiting, which they don't know.
Does anybody have any idea on the workaround, or any technical solution to synchronize the credentials between EP and e-Rec?

Thank you for your information.
Yes, it is true that we can insert the link to questionnaire, user ID and password in the correspondence.
However, as far as I know, if you insert a password in the correspondence, it always generates a new password and I don't want this to happen for external candidates who are accessing e-recruiting directly.
Is there a way just to show the current password, without generating a new one in the correspondence smartform?

Not exactly, but you can do some of this at http://portalstudio.oracle.com like (testing your portlets). It might be a helpful resource for you too.
Portal is a rather easy setup too if you have a system with at least 1.5 GB of RAM where you can install the infrastructure & middle-tiers on a single system. But I'd still look at this site to see if it has resources that help you with your Portal development.

Use Enterprise portal theme for Web Client

I am new to this topic.
I am working in portal project. We have situation that in portal we have excellent theme but in CRM Web client we donu2019t have fantasy theme like portal.
Is there anyway can I use my portal theme for CRM web client?
If you guide me how to integrate portal theme into CRM Web UIs, that will be great.

There is no easy way to extend your portal theme to the CRM WebClient. Lot of effort is needed for identifying the portal CSS files and updating CRm WebClient theme CSS files with the portal theme attribute values.

Creating users in enterprise portals with CUA as userbase

Hi All,
we are using CUA system for maintaining the users and we want this users to be used in enterprise portals. So while installing WebAs itself, we specified the connection details to this CUA system. then we installed portal and we were able to view the users of CUA in portal.
now i am creating a user from portal, create user option in UserManagement. but i just get an error like, could not create a user.
i checked out in system administration->umconfiguration-> sap system. all the details that we specified during the webas installation appear there by default.
so could you please let me know what the problem could be

Error when configuring Web Dispatcher for SSL with Enterprise Portal

We are in the process of configuring the Web Dispatcher using SSL to connect to our Enterprise Portal (the Web Dispatcher will be in the DMZ). We have followed all of the help.sap.com guides and now have SSL listening on the EP side (port 8103). We are now receiving this strange certificate error when we start the Web Dispatcher:

As an Oracle DBA I've used this at client's sites when I can't pay for PL/SQL Developer to be installed, and it has quite a few useful things built into it. I think that it's going to see a boom in popularity now that Oracle came out with XE.

Open a transaction for user using RFC

Hi all,
Is it possible to open a transaction (I mean to actualy open a gui for the user) using a RFC that is called from my Web Server?
For example:
I have a web application (written in some language) that presents some list of transaction codes. When a user hit some transaction code, I want my application to open the SAP application in the exact transaction.
I assume that my application should call some RFC that is able to open and present the SAP application in the required transaction. E.g. if in my web application the list contains the transaction code "ME24" and a user click on it I want the SAP application to open and after providing user+password direct to "Maintain Purchase Order"
Is it possible?

Please assume that I do not need any graphical output within my web-application.
I will try to re-explain the architecture:
1. Web server where my web application is installed
2. SAP system (not portal)
3. Client with access to SAP trough a standard SAP Logon and access to my web application
Client tries to open a transaction (in a new standard SAP window) by clicking on some link in my application. My application calls a RFC and I wish that this RFC will be able to open that SAP window.

Bex query crash for user on sap portal

hi gurus
i have a bex query which users see it through sap portal, i have the case where a user X has made some drill down between rows and columns of the query (over portal), and since then every time this user X open the query, portal shows the query on the rows-columns format that the user X used once.
What can i do in order user X see que query (on portal) in the default rows-columns??
This problem just happen with user X, others users see the query in the default format with no problems.
I ve tried deleting the portal personalization for user X on sap portal, but the problem persists...

If its Java only error then there wont be any dump in ST22.
Strange issue for you, in general if we get 500 error, there should be details of it in the same page.
You said this issue is occuring for only one user, is it getting replicated every time?
You are also seeing the same error when u login as that particular user?
Do one thing, assign him the Content Admin role and then do the preview of this iView form content admin and see if ur still seeing this error.

Unable to see Dashboard over the internet Using Enterprise Portal

I have one issue here which is bit technical,
I have made an Xcelsius Dashboard (Connection Type: Excel XML Maps (BW Queries)) and uploaded SWF file on to KM Repository in Portal. I have created Document iview and a role to published the dashboard on Enterprise Portal.
Now when i am trying to access that Dashboard from Portal within local network it works fine but when i try opening the same Dashboard over the internet from home it gives an error.
ERROR DETAILS:

TLN missing for users in Federated Portal Network Setup

Hello All,
We are facing a weird problem in our Federated portal Production setup; when the users login to portal they are not able to see the TLN. On further investigating we found that this issue is happening when the user id is locked in any of the producer portals within our FPN environment due to which the users are not able to view roles related to other systems as well in which there id is active.
This issue is reproducable but only occur once the ID are locked and password is expired in one of the assigned system.
Our FPN setup is as below:
Consumer C connects to Producers
1. A (RDL)
2. B (RDL) - BI Dual Stack
3. D (RRA) - BI Dual Stack
In turn A (producer) connects to 4 ECC systems (F3, M1, R1, R5)
We are using RRA and RDL both in our environment.We have connected all federated portal with P4 Port, so if required we
can use RDL.
Please note our consumer C is EHP1 SP5 and both BI systems B and D are EP 7 sp13.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated as this is critical issue affecting users in our production environment badly.

This was an SAP bug. We raised an OSS message and it is taken care now. User now gets TLN and then portal runtime error if the id is locked.

Questionnaire for users of SAP GUI (closed)

When using SAP GUI *) for a while, users tend to open new session windows and maybe new connections to other SAP system instances as well. With the increasing number of windows, it can be difficult to find and switch to the session you want to proceed working with.
SAP is currently looking into ways to improve the session handling in the SAP GUI. Options including a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_document_interface">multiple document interface (MDI)</a> or <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabbed_document_interface">tabbed document interface (TDI)</a> approach are being discussed. The latter has been adopted by many web browsers for similar reasons.
In order to ease the process of finding an appropriate interaction model, it would be helpful to have a good understanding of how people are working with the SAP GUI today.
For this purpose we would like to ask you to provide feedback on the questions below. You can either directly reply in this thread or send a mail to woersi (at) sap (dot) com with the subject starting with "Questionnaire".
