E-recruiting Technical Settings

Dear all,
We are implementing E-rec 6.0.  Though E-rec is planned to be on a separate server, for basic configuration, we are doing config in Sandbox.
I have hired an employee, assigned the user id to IT105 subtype 001.  I have assigned recruiter role to this employee as well.
I have done the follwoing technical settings;
CPERS     - PROLE      - BUP003      - Role of employee for business partner
PLOGI     - PLOGI      - 01      - Integration Plan Version / Active Plan Version
RECFA     - AGYRO      - RCFAGY - Role of Agency in Business Partner
RECFA     - BL2UI      -               -  RFC Connection from BL System (DB) to UI System
RECFA     - BPCOU      -       - Country for Name Format of Business Partner
RECFA     - BPNAM      -       - Name Format for Business Partner
RECFA     - BRARO      - RCFBRA -Branch Rule in Business Partner
RECFA     - DATAO      -       - Output Technology for Data Overviews
RECFA     - GARBC      -      - X = Call Garbage Collector (Firm)
RECFA     - HIHIT      - 500      - Maximum Number of Hits for All Search Requests
RECFA     - HRQUA      - X      - Integration Switch for HR Qualifications
RECFA     - HRRFC      -       - Logical System of Connected HR System
RECFA     - HRXI      -       - XI Use for Data Exchange with HR
RECFA     - IMSAV      -       - Activate Implicit Save in Candidate Profile
RECFA     - INDCO      -       - Individual Correspondence with/without Web
When generate the URL  for recruiter, and open it in internet explorer, am getting; 'An internal error occured; pl try again later'.
I have not done any config in SICF, SMICM etc. I doubt if some config is missing on BSP side.
Can anyone solve the above problem.  This is very urgent need.
Thank you all in advance.
Shashi

Hi,
This is more question for the HCM forum.
Anyway, pls check the HTTP 500 section in this
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BSP/ExceptionsandErrors
Als check what ST22 is returning.

I've been requested by developers to setup Visual Composer 7.0 as it is integrated in NW2004s.
As it seems that setup completed succesfully (i accessed to URL "http://<myservername>.<mydomainname>:<portnumber>/VC/default.jsp" and connected to visual composer interface, i 'd like to know if others technical settings are required before providing/delivering this development tool... as developers are currently quiet hard to please
I created a new model and composed succesfully.
However, I need to be sure that technical configration is proper.

  • Table Technical settings for transfer data from developemnt to Quality

    Hi All,
Please let me know which table techinical settings required for to transport table with data from development to quality?
    Thanks & Regards,
    padmaja.

    Hi,
You do not require technical settings to transport data from dvlpmnt to quality.
However, you can transport any tables entries with a simple trick:
    (1) Create a workbench request
    (2) Change the request (or its task) and add the following entry: R3TR TABU <name of table> =>
    (3) Enter the key values you want to transport, e.g.:
    - <client>* for all entries of the current client
    - add additional restrictions for the table entry (<client><bukrs>* for all entries of a given company code)

  • Generic datasource technical settings: Data class : Transaction or Master?

    Dear Experts,
I am not sure what is the difference in datasource technical settings (in R/3) : Data Class = Appl1 (transaction data) vs Data Class = Appl0  (master data).
The reason for asking is i have a z-table used as the table of a generic datasource and this table contains master data.
The Data Class is set as Transaction data.
It works. So, what is the difference if its set to Master data as the Data Class?   Is there performance difference during data extraction?
    Please advise.
    regards
    Pascal

    Hi,
Data classes are assigned during table creation and are maintained in technical settings,
Data class: By choosing data class some space will be allocated to the table in the database when it is created.
Each data class corresponds to a physical area in which all the tables assigned to this data class are stored.
There are 3 main data classes:
    a) APPL0- Which is the master data. Data which will be rarely changed.
An example of master data can be like name, employee number and telephone number.
    b) APPL1-Which is transaction data. Data that is frequently changed.
An example of transaction data is the goods in go down which will change as per the purchases.
    c) APPL2-Which is organizational data. Customizing data that is defined when the system is installed and rarely changed.
Example may be table with country codes.
By assigning the data class to the table  we can retrieve the data very easily.
There are also 2 more data classes USR and USR1, which are provided for the customer.
These are for the user developments. The tables assigned to these data classes are stored in a table space for user developments.
    Regards,
    Durgesh.

  • Table without technical settings

    Hi everyone,
can anyone tell me how to suppress this message ......Message no. E2173....so i shall activate my table which dont have any technical setting...( i know that we can create the table without technical settings and i want solution)..
    Thanks
Edited by: priya patil on Jun 30, 2008 10:13 AM

    hi priya,
The technical settings of a table define how the table will be handled when it is created in the database, that is whether the table will be buffered and whether changes to data records of the table will be logged.
    The most important parameters are:
Data class: The data class defines the physical area of the database (tablespace) in which the table should be created.
Size category: The size category defines the size of the extents created for the table.
When the table is created in the database, the required information about the memory area to be selected and the extent size is determined from the technical settings.
Buffering permission: The buffering permission defines whether the table may be buffered.
Buffering type: If the table may be buffered, you must define a buffering type (full, single-record, generic). The buffering type defines how many table records are loaded into the buffer when a table entry is accessed.
Logging: This parameter defines whether changes to the table entries should be logged. If logging is switched on, each change to a table record is recorded in a log table.
The Convert to transparent table flag ( transparent flag) is also displayed for pooled tables or for tables which were converted into transparent tables earlier on with this flag.
Now,the point is that table can't be maintained in the database without these above mentioned things. That's why answer to yr question is simple that we can't activate an table without techinacl settings.

  • Dunning technical settings

    Hello,
There is a field under the dunning procedures (FPVA,FPVB), under the "Technical settings" tab, called "Data base access: Block size".
No matter where I have looked, Googled, etc, I can't find out what this field is for.  Originally, I thought it was just supposed to be set to the same size as the database block size, but I no longer think so.  The help states that the value is supposed to take into account the dunning interval.
    Questions:
    1) What is this field for?
    2) What is are some sample appropriate values?
    Thank you.

Thank you for the information.  However, this is basically a cut and paste from F1 help, which I have read already, but it does not really mean anything.  Maybe the F1 text was poorly translated from the original German?
    For example:
"Data selection is made in accordance with interval distribution" .
You could rewrite this sentence as:
"What is picked depends on the spacing between objects".
Maybe there is a context where this sentence makes sense, but that context is missing from the help message.
    ========
Regarding the next paragraph this is just common sense.  If you allocate more memory to something, it runs faster, but leaves less memory for other processes.  If you allocated too little memory, performance suffers from having to go back to disks too often.
However, it doesn't really tell me what a "block" is.  If I pick 1000 value for the field, is that 1000 items, 1000 records, 1000 kilobytes, or even 1000 blocks?  Who knows?
Restated, this part says, "Don't pick a number that is too big or too small".
    ========
The last sentence is also odd, but I can't figure it out because I don't know what a block is, nor do I know "the size of the interval" (or even what this reference to "interval" means in this sentence, for that matter).
Restated, you could interpret this as, "Once you get a number that is neither to big nor small, change it to work with your interval".
    ========
    ========
For anyone's information who is having the same problem I am having, I just heard back from our dunning person.  I made a complete guess and suggested he use an initial value of 8192 (8K) for blocksize, and run some tests.   This was based on the size of the database blocks that we use in the underlying Oracle database.  This may be completely inappropriate, but like I said, I was guessing.  I also suggested he used values that were multiples of 1K (1024 bytes = 1 "true" kilobyte).
After some testing (dunning run, backout, change value, rerun), he has determined that the optimum value for this field (as measured by run time) was 2048, which works out to 2K.  This value reduced dunning runtime by 20%.
Since we only used whole K numbers, it is possible a value slightly higher or lower might produce better results, but they had to stop testing at some point.
    ======
If anyone knows what this field does, I would still be happy to know.
    Thanks.
    -Darren

  • E-Recruitment Technical architecture design for stand alone

    Hello,
I looking at various options to implement E-Recruiting in a stand alone scenario.
One option i know is where my HR Data is in ECC6.0 and E-Rec component is in other ECC6.0 system and i can interface the data through ALE and RFC's.
When we talk about E-Rec in standalone (without ECC), how would be technical architecture look like.
Please help me with some inputs.
    Best Regards
    G Raj

    Hi Raj,
Am not sure what are the exact details that you require. I have given a few pointers which may be of use.
Incase eRecruiting is on a different server then the transfer of data (PA & OM ) will be through ALE & idocs.
The transfer of data from eRecruiting to ECC is through RFC where only a set of 15 fields can be transferred back. There is also a newer option to use XI for this.
The standalone server usually has only the erec component & no other HR module (Pls chk the installation guide on this point)
A few BADIs need to be activated in the erec server
When an internal employee(object P) is transferred here, a corresponding object NA(candidate) & BP(business partner) is created.(This is because of the BADI activation)
Incase of an external employee , the moment he registers, an object NA ,BP ,CP is created. When he is hired into the system, there is an object P created with a New CP which then will have to be coonnected to the original NA.
Change pointers will take care of synchronisation of data between both the servers.
The relationship between the various objects are seen in infotype 1001 in the erec system.
The advantage of using this scenario is that core HR is not exposed to external people as the erec server talks with the external world.
Incase of webdynpro ABAP as UI, you can have separate fron-end & back-end.
