Hi
  Is it possible at all the transfer additional data of candidate to HR? I would like to transfer the work experience HRP5103 of candidate to HR's IT0023 (Other/Previous Employers). Thanks.

    We are running E-Recruiting 3.0 as a stand-alone system not connected to our R/3 4.6C system and I am trying to find out how to switch an external candidate over to an internal candidate once hired.  I see from a previous post that there is a process to do this if the two systems are connected, but I have found nothing for a stand-alone environment.  I wil also need to know how to do the reverse (if an employee leaves we want their candidate profile to be switched over to an external candidate if they choose.)
    Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    You can do it in the following manner.
    first, create an RFC program with all the candidate data. Pass this data to the hiring action Tx code in HR system. You get basic infotype data from the E-rec.
    So it should be possible.
    for the second one , you should mark those employees who leave on a periodic basis (hopefully daily). then these are to be transferred to E-rec again through an RFC program.
    After this you can update candidate profile in E-rec with a program.
    But, altogether without establishing a connection, I dont see how you do this!

    Hi sameer,
    you have to go to the ecc to hire the person as the information from e-recruiting is far not enough to process a hiring. currently standard data transfer brings ~15 fields to the ecc while the complete hiring action will probably have >100 fields.
    To do the hiring from e-recruiting you would have not only get the information into e-recruiting first, but also get all the business logic combined. Things which sound easy can get quite complicated e.g. the name. In all projects i took part so far firstname is no required field as the companies attract applicants from around the world and there are countries where having only one name is common. So firstname can't be a required field in e-recruiting but in PA the field is required as it is necessary for social insurance, taxes and stuff (these people really get a second name to be processed when getting a work permit). You would have to get all the logic on country specific name requirements to e-recruiting. Furthermore you separate the systems to separate the data. Data security guys would get crazy if you could run complete hiring actions / organizational change action from e-recruiting accessing payment data, banking information, CB information, information on related persons ... .
    For additional documents I have to disappoint you. I do not have more than the standard stuff you get from sap net rest of my knowledge results from various rollouts.

    I have a requirement to transfer additional data together with a contract, such as price scales, discounts, and discount scales
    If the contract has condition like
    scale Discount
    0-10 20%
    20-30 30%
    from SRM to SRM MDM Catalog.
    As a standard practice, we use report SRMMDM_CTR_TRANSFER in SRM to send the standard Contracts from SAP SRM system to the SRM-MDM Catalog repository via SAP XI.
    But to transfer additional data , we have to use BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI in SRM 7.0.
    If any body worked on the same, please let me know the step by step procedure how to implement BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI.

    It gives the step - by -step procedure on what how to Enhance Contract Data Transfer.
    For this, you may have to do the implementation in BADI BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI
    Change the XI mappings and the MDM Import manager mappings.

    there is title / second title field
    What is purpose of this field, what values are typically used and where do you make the settings.
    I check in IMG there is no table to set for title / second title

    These are academic titles/qualifications granted to students after pursuing university education. After completing your Bachelor's degree you will get academic title 'Bachelor' or 'Doctor' title after studying your Ph.D. Its possible to have multiple titles and this is why there are 2 seperate fields in my opinion so you can enter at least 2 if you have them.
    The values are configured under spro in Cross-Application Components > SAP Business Partner > Business Partner > Persons > Name Components > Maintain Academic Titles. They are saved in table TSAD2. When assigned to a candidate they are saved in the BUT000 against the BP for the candidate in fields TITLE_ACA1 and TITLE_ACA2.

  • E-recruiting status of a external candidate data

    Hi experts,
    I have a question about status of an external candidate data. Here I have a situation where the customer I'm working for asked that whenever a external candidate create data (a CV) via e-recruiting, the information should be available to recruiters and only be blocked if the candidate perform a step to block data. Today the standard does the opposite, when an external candidate creates data, this data remais blocked until the candidate unblocks it via a step in E-recruiting.
    Is there any possible way to change that via customize or I'll have to create an enhancement?

    Hi,
    i used different approaches here depending on the release, number and content of the additional fields:
    One option is transfering the additional information into HR by having a modification in the data transfer activity so the fields are put into table T752F in the HR system and are available in PA48.
    Similar but without a modification is a workflow linked to the data transfer activity which transfers the additional fields into the table. No modification needed but a bit more tricky to put the data into the table as you have to identify the correct temporary employee id the records need.
    A complete other approach would be using the XI / PI data transfer instead of the RFC based one.

    is there any possibility to transfer additional parameters in outbound XML message using (BADI: BBP_SAPXML1_OUT_BADI).
    Additional parameters are,
    1. Communication Method for the Business Partner
    2. R/3 Vendor # & logical system for Business Partner
    3. Relationship between Business Partner Number and R/3 Vendor Number is ‘BP GUID’.
    How can we extended the structure in the BADI.

    Look for structure which the interface parameters are referring, there you should see some dummy structures referring to INCL_EEW* for e.g. in PO header INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_SSF_PO. Add additional fields and pass the data accordingly.

    Hello Sai,
    of course you are right that the standard functions to create an external candidte differ from creating an internal one. In the production scenarios there are basically 3 ways to create an external candidate:
    - The candidate uses the registration where he registers to the candidate pool without actually applying to a position
    - The candidate uses the unregistered search and applies for a position. In the process of applying the candidate is created
    - The recruiter uses the minimum data entry functionality accessable through a link on his startpage to enter a hardcopy application into the system
    These 3 scenarios are available for creating the external candidate but each of them requires a certain amount of configuration (e.g. unregistered search requires a properly set up TREX search engine) which usually takes some time.
    On the very beginning of a project when the servers are installed and the basic configurations have been done, I usually test all standard start pages to see if the basic settings are ok. In this case all I want is the ability to log in and call the startpages. Then I use the described approach to just give an internal candidate which is usually my test user the authorization for the external startpage and I set the username as Alias so I can call the page. Of course next steps are creating the first requsition / posting / publication and test the application wizard (as said this requires the TREX set up or some help report to generate a direct application link). But overall for me I find it very handy to ba able to log on to all internal and external applications with my test user so I do not need to remember several logins as long I do not start testing full scenarios with applied authorization.

  • Recruiting - issue viewing application data

    Dear experts,
    We are having the PeopleSoft recruiting module installed on a 2nd DB for external users (let's call this one EXT), and the backoffice uses the 1st DB for creating job openings etc. (let's call this one REC for clarity)
    Between both DBs, there's a daily data synchronization (candidate data are uploaded into REC and job opening data are uploaded into EXT).
    For one of the job openings, we received a complaint from a candidate that his information for the application is not complete / correct.
    Because EXT is the master in this case, I tried opening his application on EXT (through the recruiter pages Find Applicant and then "View application") but I can see the applicant itself but not his application data (i.e. I see the icon "view application" but clicking doesn't do anything at all).
    I have found an example of another applicant where I can open his application data without problem so at least it seems not to be a general problem for all applicants in EXT.
    It seems however that other applicants for the same job opening cannot be opened either.
    I might be wrong but I concluded that the issue must be with the job opening data and I checked each and every table that is synchronized for anomalies (including job posting descriptions) and I checked existence of "supporting data" as recruiting location etc. Everything data wise seems to be ok for this job opening... I'm puzzled.
    I went on checking the applicant's data and application data itself, but apart from what obviously was missing as received per mail, I could not see anything wrong with them either.
    I had to refresh the job opening transaction table in the process of checking the data so that is not the issue here.

    Thanks for your valauble inputs.
    I did review the config and found that the PERNR is assigned. The SPRO config also looks fine.
    One more thing is that our Basis Consultant is able to view and edit the details. He has superuser roles and J2EE admin roles, but as per my knowlegde these roles are not assigned to everyone.When these roles where assigned to other users they were able to view.
    So looks like Business Package is also fine then what could be the reason ???

  • How can I transfer all my data including SMS to my mac/windows computer?

    My friend has asked me to help her transfer all the data from her iPhone 3GS to a computer then to a hard drive. She has several folders with pictures in but image capture on mac is only picking up the one. I have an iPhone 4S and iPad 3 installed already on iTunes so don't want to accidentally erase her phone.
    She also needs some of the SMS messages taking off of her phone and saving either as they are or in some form of text file so they are readable in the future.
    How can I retrieve all this data including the messages without losing anything and can it be done for free?
    If you need anymore info please just ask and I'll try and pass it on to the best of my (limited) knowledge.

    SHe can also do a backup of her phone and it will save the text message, but she won't be able to view the text unless she restores to the backup.

  • Can't see the ESS Additional Personal Data link within Personal Information

    For some reasons, I can not see the Additional Personal Data link within the ESS Personal Information iView. I have checked the Homepage framework and the existence of the iView in the PCD and everything appears to be fine.
    Do I need to assign any additional infotype to my id or give myself specific authorisations to see this link?

    I think mostly you have maintained the data in PA30 Transaction and had data in Info type 0105.
    After this try to check with your EA-HR patch and SAP HR patch in the services. If  both are not maintained at the same patch levels such type of problems will occur.
