Hi,
Can anyone provide any help to know which service users should be assigned to services in the transaction sicf when using e-Recruiting EHP3?
I am trying to get the candidate pages to work but am having problems.

Hello Tom,
For Candidate Scenario, please go through the note 1017866, It contains all the information about Candidate Scenario.
You need to do the customization from the backend only. In sicf we have various services, like Unregistered Candidate, etc.
You need to activate them.

Hi,
I want to configure a custom roadmap for the WebDynPro-based Candidate Portal. I also want my Candidate Portal to refer to a custom build Search screen, instead of the SAP Standard search screen.
I have maintained the follwing customizing in the IMG:
SAP E-Recruiting - Technical Settings - User Interfaces - Web DynPro ABAP - Flexibilization - Backend
In the section "Start Pages" I have defined:
a structuring element for first level called "Employment Opportunities".
a structuring element for second level called "Job Search". This is referring to my custom made search screen.
I also defined a new start page for external candidates (0001) with configuration ID Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND. The first and second level are the same as in SAP Standard, except that it refers to the custom made "Job Search" instead of the SAP Standard one.
In the section "RoadMap Pattern" I have defined:
"Create Roadmap Pattern": For the startpage of the external candidate, also with configuration ID Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND I customized that some of the steps are in different sequence ("Attachments" should be the second step).
My question is: how do you call this configuration? I guess you need to specify somewhere that configuration ID Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND should be used. I tried to add it as an URL-parameter(&sap-wd-configId=Z_WDCONF_EXT_CAND), but that didn't do the trick. Also, the BaDI HRRCF00_DETERMINE_APPL_CONFIG is only relevant voor the Application Wizard, not for the startpage of the external candidate.

E-Recruitment Webdynpro Flexibilization

Hi all,
My project has implement E-Recruiting and using Webdynpro ABAP as the user interface. I am currently trying change the logo of my External Candidate startpage. I have configured an application configuration via SE80. The logo is reflected correctly when i call the startpage via the url http://portal.recruit.com/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_startpage_ext_cand?sap-wd-configId=ZTEST.
However, the SPRO configurations e.g. hiding the 2nd level favorites navigation tab are not reflected. The SPRO configurations will only be reflected when I remove the parameter sap-wd-configId=ZTEST.
Anyone has encountered this issue before. All help appreciated.

Hello Eshwar,
the overall challenge with this requirement is the posibility of bypassing the screens by going to "send the application" directly from the personal data screen. Your requirement was discussed with SAP by different customers, still SAP could not find a solution. So there is no solution to do this in standard, neither for the BSP nor for the Web Dynpro ui.
The most promissing approach to get this done should be to find the processing when the application wizard checks if the required fields of the questionaire were filled. Perhaps you can add some code here to add your checks add send a response to the ui if they are not passed.

possibilty to get the WebDynpro applications for e-recruiting in EHP0?

What do you mean by 'EHP0"? Do you mean release 600? In this case please check the online documentation :

it explains that in once you have installed SP8 of release 600, Web Dynpro ABAP is available as another interface technology for the internal and external candidate scenarios.

E-Recruiting :Webdynpro for ABAP start page modification

Dear Experts,
We will be using the wbdynpro for ABAP screens for candidate profile for a succession planning implementation.
We have a requirement to change the start page as well as the candidate profile screens.We need to change the overview screen as well.
In the IMG activity,i can see the node to change the start page.
Can someone please help me out with the following :
1) Start page id : I can specify 9NNN
Config id : ???
What exactly is the config id? i am totally new to webdynpro technology & webdynpro ABAP.
Documentation says "Enter the Web Dynpro configuration identifier (component configuration ID of the start page component) that defines the start page variant."
I went to SE80 & found the component for the start page & even went to the editor for component configuration(this opens in a browser).
Should i create my own configuration id here?
what else do i need to do.
2) After creating the configuration id & creating a custom start page,how will the standard link to the webdynpro start page be modified? how do i refer to this custom start page?
Please help as it is a matter of urgency.Assistance will be appreciated & rewarded.

The entry in the table T77RCF_WD_SP_IDC will be taken care through the entries in the start page of the IMG activity.But do this i need to know what is config id. Can you please help me with this.

Also this Webdynpro is ABAP Dynpro or JAVA dynpro. Or Is there any way to know which webdynpro is abap or java.

It is an ABAP webdynpro interface and the webdynpro application for application wizard is HRRCF_A_APPLWIZARD. You canfind all these webdynpro applications using transaction SE80 with package PAOC_RCF_UI_SELF_SERVICES.

E-recruiting- Webdynpro Changing order of tabs in candidate profile

Hi,
We are using Webdynpro for the candidates scenarios ( E-rec runs in a stand alone scenario with ehP3).
We want to change the order of the tabs in the external candidate profile ( webdynpro).
We want to use the standard delivered tabs, we just need to change the order.
In BSP I just follow the configuration for flexibilization and then when I call the URL I just send the context id and the tabs are changed. But we are not using BSP.
Could anybody help with information of the steps that I should follow to change the order of my tabs in webdynpro ? .
I am following the configuration steps for the flexibilization of webdynpro ->Roadmap patterns but I can't see any change in the order of my tabs, or how to call this configuration from my URL.

Hello,
as I said you can just solve it out of the front end within the registration workflow, or the candidate status change workflow.
So it is just possible to do this via a correspondence activity and not via the standard front end.
From the correspondence you can jump back to a front end application. But it is not possible to integrate it into a startpage.
If the candidate filled out a questionnaire (trm activity), then you can search on those questionnaires and its answers via the talent pool search. Prerequisite is, that the questionnaire is assigned to a trm activity (Assigned to NA).
There is no possibility handling pool candidates as applications. You will always have problems looking at each pool candidate. The talent pool is just meant to be a pool of candidates you can search on.

I believe that you are accessing the application through sicf , under
default_host->sap->bc->erecruiting,
So this is not the correct way.
If you want to access the WebDynpro application, Select the registration link, then the application would
launch for Candidate Registration (if your cofiguration is fine). You can check through se80 with the package PAOC_RCF_UI_SELF_SERVICES all the webdynpro related applications would be there.
If you want to access BSP application please use rcf_generate_url
program for generating the URL.
You can also have a look at the note 1017866 also.

PageHeader UI Element in WebDynPro ABAP

Hi,
We are not using SAP Portal and want to make modifications to the e-recruiting webdynpro applications.
We want to change the color and font size/ type of the pageheader UI element in ABAP WebDynpro.
The eclipse theme editor does not show the PageHeader element. Hence there is no possibility of that being changed in the eclipse theme editor.
Is there any other way we can do it? Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I've searched SDN but could not find anything that can point me to the solution.
Need your expert advise as soon as possible.

I am running e-Recruitment EHP4 SP4 and I want to change both the logo on the applicant cockpit page and also the colours and fonts (theme). Has anyone done this before, or can anyone suggest how this is done?

Please check SAP Note 1017866. It explains what is required to apply your own themes and logos for SAP e-Recruiting WebDynpro for ABAP candidate scenarios - i have pasted the relevant sections below for you:
Themes
To start Web Dynpro applications concerning a certain theme, you can use "sap-ep-themeroot" URL parameter. Enter the encoded path to the location of the theme as the value of the parameter. Certain Web Dynpro applications are called using a redirect handler. In this case, you do not have to enter the theme as URL parameter. It is sufficient to define the path for the parameter THEME_URL in the back-end system in the Customizing activity "Defining URL parameter for applications with Web Dynpro ABAP".
Logos
By implementing Note 1091733, you have the option to integrate logos above the application title using a specific configuration. The note enables you to integrate logos in the following areas:
.> Unregistered search
> Apply Using Reference Code
> Application wizard
> Registration
You must create an application configuration and a component configuration for the relevant application. As part of the component configuration, there is a configuration controller with the node 'LOGO' for the following Web Dynpro components:
> HRRCF_C_SEARCH_UI: Unregistered search
> HRRCF_C_REFCODE_SRCH_UI: Apply Using Reference Code
> HRRCF_C_UNREG_APPLWZD_UI: Registration page for the application wizard
> HRRCF_C_REG_APPLWZD_UI: Application wizard
> HRRCF_C_REGISTER_UI: Registration
This configuration controller has the following attributes:
> VISIBLE: The logo is visible
> URL: URL of the logo picture
> HEIGHT: Height of the picture

In contrast to the abovementioned applications, you do not call the application wizard explicitly but only indirectly (for example as a search result). Here, you can only define the application configurations that you want to use by implementing the BAdI 'HRRCF00_DETERMINE_APPL_CONFIG' (enhancement spot HRRCF_APPLICATION_WIZARD).

Which is the best way to change standard text accross the e-recruitment webdynpro applications.
Example: If the term requisition is to be rrenamed to XYZ. what is the best possible way to do the renaming, so that the changes appear in all the applications consistently

Hi,
the most efficient way here is creating customer contexts for the different standard OTR texts and replace the standard text. As the change is UI independent it is much faster than changig every web dynpro using the web dynpro configuration.

PS: don't forget to refresh the OTR buffer using /$OTR
PPS: overall I would not recomment replacing central standard terms of an application by customer ones. If you replace something like requisition you will probably get into trouble later as all SAP documentation will not be understandable to your project members and all communication between end users and developers or your company and SAP for bug repors will not be understandable if people are only used to their own terms instead of the standard ones.

There is a concept called Application Configuration in Web Dynpro ABAP

You have to create a configuration for the application or pass the existing configuration to the application.
right click the application and choose create/change configuration, which will take you to configuration editor.
you have to pass the created or existing configuration ID to the application, because the application internally uses the configuration
you have to the pass the parameter WDCONFIGURATIONID=<the configuration id name>

Simple list of HR openings via webdynpro

Hi,
I'm not an SAP developer myself, but I've worked closely with SAP in the past. Currently, I am working with a company that is posting job openings via the SAP e-recruiting/webdynpro application. We are tasked with basically scraping and processing the job openings that are displayed and I am having trouble automatically retrieving the information from that page.
As seems to be standard (based on searches, this seems to be a common job search page), the page is of the format:
/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_unreg_job_search/
Typically, this page presents a search page with several options and a submit button. When clicked, it takes the user to another page with a page of results. That page seems to work through a series of Ajax postbacks and contextual ID's that need to be tracked and makes the scraping extremely complicated. Getting to just a simple list of available jobs involves a lot of juggling and requests, and then getting from a job entry in the list to the job itself requires more hurdles.
I'm just trying to find out from an SAP expert if there are any other standard hrrcf applications that exist in SAP that will simply list out the various jobs without having to do this complicated search. My best case would be if there was a page that simply dumped out a bunch of XML/JSON as a list, something like:
/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_post_lst (or whatever)
As I said, I've been working with the other company but they don't seem to understand or be able to contact the correct people internally who can help, so I'm trying to reach out to this forum to see if someone else can give me more information I can take back to them. Any help would be appreciated, including brainstorming about other possible options. We have several clients asking us to scrape their SAP sites which are set up exactly the same, so a general solution would be great.

I am not interested in the difference between internal versus external jobs, or published versus not published. I am interested in displaying the same external published jobs that are displayed typically via the search form:
/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_unreg_job_search/
However, I am trying to discover if there is another different, distinct web form that will simply display the same jobs but displayed using a simpler interface. So, basically, is there any other default application form that displays the contents of the T77RCF_EXT_PUB table, but does it as a list and not through a complicated search form?
Or alternately, if there is any kind of RSS or XML data feed I can access that would hit T77RCF_EXT_PUB. Again, I am looking for information that I can take back to my client to help them activate or configure whatever is needed.
I hope that makes sense, and I hope that this is the right forum.

Hi,
such errors can have quite a number of reasons. As a first step I'd head for the sap-load-generator (T-Code SGEN) and run it over the complete system and after it over all web dynpro applications. When everything is finished invalidated the http server caches e.g. by usung T-Code smicm.
If this is not successful please give us a nother post.
