E-recruitment 600 browser supported?

Hi Experts,
E-recruitment 600 version can only support IE 9 and latest firefox. Is this something to do with the SAP Netweaver?
If we upgrade to SAP Netweaver 7.31, will E-recruitment 600 able to support other types of browser?
Regards,
TCL

Hi TCL,
It is not needed to upgrade to a higher netweaver version if it is just for internet explorer support
From the PAM (http://service.sap.com/pam):
INTERNET EXPLORER 11 DESKTOP + WINDOWS 8.1 64-BIT + SAP BASIS 7.00 [>= SAPKB70029]
SAP recommends vers. 10 or higher for IE. Minimum Service Pack Stack for IE version needs to be installed. IE11 offers now "Enterprise Mode" as compatibility mode for application designed for IE8. See IE11 Release Note 1903267 for details.
This means that with support pack 29 of the SAP BASIS component of netweaver 7.00, you will have support for internet explorer 11.
Official support for google chrome only exists as of netweaver version 7.02 as of SP12 and 7.31 SP05.

  • E-recruitment 300 versus E-recruitment 600

    Hi People,
    I would like to have an overview of all functionalities available in E-recruitment 3.00 and E-recruitment 6.00 . It is intended for our Business that they can make a decision wich is mainly taken on the available
    functionalities.
    We are still using Erp2004 so for us (IT) we would like to know of installing version 600 , in a standalone system in this case, is worth.
    Till know I searched on the market place but only found any information on E-recruitment 6.00 and not a clear overview of all the differences or new features. So if you know where I can find this information , it would be grateful to tell me.
    Kind regards
    Pascale

    Hello Pascale,
    I am not sure if there is a complete list of the functional changes between E-recruiting 300 and 600. The first e-recruiting 600 delivery did not have more functionality than the release 300. But with SP5 and SP7 there were new fubctional enhancements. These enhancements are documented. If you check the sap net download section for documentation and e-recruiting you will find special help files for these 2 support packages which contain section which describe the enhancements. As far as I know these enhancements have not been added in any higher support package of release 300.
    The biggest enhancement is of course the webDynpro for candidate frontend originally delivered with SP08 (for real use SP11 or higher). There is a clear strategy of sap that WebDynpro will be the future technology. New functions for candidates added with notes or step by step were nearly completely for WebDynpro only.
    More functions are part of the first e-recruiting enhancement package (called EhP3 as e-recruiting did not attend the two earlier EhP cycles, sometimes you find 603). I have no idea where to find a complete delta list what is new with this EhP3 and has not be patched to the standard 600 maintenance line. I attended a ramp up project and still have only a complete documentation for all functions for 603. Things I know:
    - change search functionality supposed to make the search / indexing faster and adding range search capability
    - job agent to inform candidates about new interesting publications
    - hot job flag to publications
    - refere publications to other people
    - interface for external background check integration
    - interface for external resume scanning/parsing service
    - there are one or two new BAdIs, one is dublication check in manual data entry
    I think EhP4, comming at the end of the year, won't affect your decision much.
    I think it's worth to start with e-recruiting 600 perhaps even with 603. Although the WebDynpro frontend had some starting troubles you won't be able to ignore it for long if you want the newer functions, with the new SPs I is much more stable. And linking an ERP2004 HR Core with e-recruiting 600 standalonbe is no difference at all. So you save an upgrade.  Not sure how long it will be till you go to ERP2005 for the other systems but this will probably be done due to the new release strategy of SAP.
    Hope that gives an impression and a helping hand where to find more information.

  • No Optimized web browser support on basic phones after 8/30/13?

    Over the weekend I received a very disturbing message on my web browser. of my Samsung Gusto 2. It said that there would be no Optimized  web browser support on basic phones after 8/30/13 and that if I wanted a good web browsing experience that I would have to upgrade to a smartphone. I am on the $50 unilmited talk,text,and web prepay plan  but don'\t want to get stuck paying for a web browser I can't use after that date.A smartphone monthly plan would cost $10-20 more monthly,in addition to spending considerably more to buy a smartphone. I already have a tablet and was told a smartphone was unnecessary. Anybody else get this message?One person in customer service said that it was propaganda and not to believe it. Another person that I called later found the memo but had no further information on it at this time. Aparently Verizon likes to keep their customer service associates in the dark until last minute.No idea if they will alter their price plans in light of this development. I currently have AT&T U-Verse and will move my number to them and switch providers if forced to.They are willing to offer the same plan I currently have with Verizon but will have to buy a new  AT&T GoPhone.  Have had pretty good customer service with them up to now,but they are not open 24/7 for wireless customer service. Any comments?

    Hi Melissa
    Right now I am switching  back and forth between the Samsung Gusto 2 and the original Gusto. The reason I am doing this is because the Gusto ,even though it is an older phone, is in much better condition than the newer Gusto2. I want to use the beat-up Gusto2 for work, and  switch to the other phone when I need a more presentable phone.Also have  a Verizon Wireless CDM 7076(somewhere).
    Don't know why I am being forced to replace perfectly good phones. And yes,SydneyK, I could use my tablet for data,but it is a little cumbersome to take it out with me,but don't need it for my work . I just took it out for the first time recently to see how well it works on Wi-Fi hotspots(I don't have or want a data plan).Because I am a U-verse customer,I have access to 30,000 AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. I don't want to pay for something (web access)that I can't use on this phone. If Verizon can't give me cost-effective solutions,then I will be forced to transfer my number to AT&T Wireless as of August 30 for a GoPhone. AT&T wants my business and are wiling to do anything to satisfy me. Haven't had any trouble with Verizon either. Yes,  their customer service is still available 24/7 even thought you will have to wait a while sonetimes. I just hate the thought of having to go through the hassle of transferring my number to another carrier.

  • Why isn't my browser supported?

    One of the challenges of delivering desktop-quality software
    inside a browser is, well, the browser itself. For more details on
    our approach to browser support, its challenges, etc. please see
    the posting on the Acrobat.com blog.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/acom
    Browsers aren't all the same, and there is a fair amount of
    work to get things working right, especially with keyboard
    shortcuts and the clipboard. We've focused on the most common
    browsers first: Firefox (Mac & Windows), Internet Explorer 6
    and 7, and Safari 3.
    For example: We’d like to follow convention and provide
    the typical Cmd-B shortcut to make text bold. However, Firefox on
    the Mac uses Cmd-B to open bookmarks in the sidebar; so Buzzword
    was forced to use Ctrl-B for making text bold.
    For
    Firefox under Linux, we're providing limited support. We
    have done some testing and we believe it works well, but we're
    interested in your feedback. Please be sure to upgrade to the
    latest Linux version of Flash Player 9 available at
    http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer,
    and also be sure to adjust your preferences as described in the
    initial page you'll see when visiting the application in Firefox
    under Linux.
    Other browsers may work (Opera, Camino, etc.) to some extent,
    but we can’t make assurances that all functions will work.
    We appreciate hearing from users who want to give Buzzword a
    spin under non-supported browsers, as it helps us focus our efforts
    and testing.

    Hi,
    After trying Opera AND Firefox to post a reply to "Why isn't my browser supported?" I'm now using IE (7 not 8 - that's not working, too!). Maybe that's the first thing that should work in all browsers - the forum.
    The second thing, and that's why I originally wanted to post something here, is that I had problems typing "&" and "/" in Opera. They don't seem to be at the same key as usual. (I have a german keyboard...):
    Shift + ^1234567890ß´
    Key (normal):   °!“§$%&/()=?`
    Key (buzzword): ^!@#$%^&*()ß`
    Additionally everything seems a little bit slow...

    Ireen

  • Multiple Browser Support in Webcenter

    What are the code changes that are to be made to have Multiple browser support in Webcenter?
    what is done in Webcenter to provide to browser independent UI
    e,g in jsp , we usually write javascript
    if browser is this, do this
    else do this
    kind of logic

    Even When I use JSTL and have modified the code to the following
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
    xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"

    i get error on compile that says

  • Does the iphone browser support java

    does the iphone browser support java?
    can it run java applets?

    No, there is no Java support in the iPhone. (There is javascript, but that's obviously quite different.)
    You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Reader 64 bit browser support

    We would like to enable PDF file scanning from our graphing tool, but need Adobe to provide a 64 bit version of nppdf32.dll for browser support.  We provide this scanning functionality from the 32 bit versions of Ansys Simplorer and Ansys Maxwell, but eliminate the PDF option for our 64 bit versions, because the CHtmlView we use won't load PDF files.  The technical world is moving rapidly to 64 bits.  Where is Adobe?

    There is currently no 64-bit plugin available, but I have a strong feeling that it will be there in Reader 12.

  • I am using OS 10.8.5 on a MacBook Pro, what version of Widows 8 should I purchase so I have an IE browser for some vendors I need to communicate who only have IE browser support?

    I am using OS 10.8.5 on a MacBook Pro, what version of Widows 8 should I purchase so I have an IE browser for some vendors I need to communicate who only have IE browser support?

    but if all you need is to use internet explore and not play 3d games then
    using bootcamp is overkill and overcomplex
    use a free virtual machine such as virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/
    and you'll have IE comming out of your ears in no time

  • How to check whether the browser supports cookie using servlet

    Hi
    I have a servlet that uses session.I want to check whether the browser supports cookie.
    Please help me how can i detect this using servlet.
    could you please include a sample code
    thanks
    sabu

    You can check whether any cookies were sent in the request to your servlet:
    Cookie cookies[] = request.getCookies();
    if cookies is not null (cookies != null) then the browser sending you the request suppoerts cookies.
    If it is null then you would need to do a little extra work. Basically add a cookie to the response going back to the browser. Then send a redirect back to this same servlet. You then would have to add code to check to see whether the cookie was sent back.
    // Servlet named myServlet
    String test = request.getParameter("TEST");
    Cookie cookies[] = request.getCookies();
    if (test == null || !test.equals("TRUE")
    if (cookies == null)
    response.addCookie("testCookies","testCookies");
    response.sendRedirect("myServlet?TEST=TRUE");
    else
    // cookies were sent in the initial request, so
    // browser supports cookies
    else
    // This is the redirect. Check the for the presence of
    // our testCookie
    Hope this helps.
