E-Recruitment and/or  Recruitment ???

Hi all.
Could you please tell me the difference between E-Recruitment and Recruitment ??
Those are differents modules in HR that works in collaboration or just can be implemented and work one at the same time?
Thanks in advance.
Enrique

Hi,
E-recruitment is a separate node. Recruitment and E-Recruitment are different. If you are implementing it for the first time you need a technical / basis person .
SAP E-recruitment follows normal Recruitment cycle i.e.
1. Creation of Requisition and then Approval.
2. Creation of Job Posting and their approval.
3. Applications from the Candidates ( Internal/External ) through different media
4. Applicant tracking from the Support Team.
5. At the time of Date of Joining , conversion of Applicant data to Master data. ( Through PA48 or XI )Interface

Also chk this link for differences;
http://solutionbrowser.erp.sap.fmpmedia.com/
If you give the source as 4.6 and target as ECC 6 enhancement package 3 ,choose HR & module as PA-ER,it displays a list of delta functionalities between the two systems. You can get a fair idea about the Recruitment functionality differences.

  • Difference between classic Recruitment and E-Recruitment

    Hi experts.
In our company we want to implement recruitment processes of SAP. But I want exactly know what is the difference between Recruitment and E-recruitment.
to implement recruitment with new web interface or to implement E-recruitment ? Please to provide reason why first one or other one. I'd like to know detailed difference . Every helpful answer will be regarded.
    Regards
    Garayev

As far as I know for recruitment you need to open vacant position to be able to run the process, but in E-Recruitment you do not need to create vacant position. You can run E-Recruitment with or without position.
Also E-Recruitment can be linked with ipad or other tablet pc's such as managers or hr recruiters can take notes during the interview and notes in the interviews can directly be recorded in E-Recruitment.
With E-Recruitment it is much easier to collect data of applicants who are not working in the company.

  • E-Recruitment  and EHS - tables are missing ECC 6.0

    Hello All,
We have recently noticed that we have tables missing in our  SAP HCM and our EHS(Employe Health and Safety) Development Box.  I am attaching the list of tables for review by all.  Can someone tell me, please, if they know what these tables are for and if they are part of a note or submodule running off main modules for E-Recruitment and EHS.  I checked notes in OSS but cannot find the tables for the EHS or E-RC modules.
We cannot find these tables listed anywhere.  We are using ECC 6.0 and the BB installlment was for N. America.
    <b>EH&S Tables</b>
CCRCC_CHCK_ON - EHS: Online Checks for Regulation/Scenario/Scenario Category
CCRCC_DET - EHS: Data Determination Modules per Regulation/Scenario
    CCRCC_DETDOCTYPE - EHS: Modules for Regulation/Scenario/Scenario Category
CCRCC_EXCHG - EHS: Data Transfer from and to EH&S
    CCRCC_FILTER - EHS: Data Filtering
CCRCC_LIMITG - EHS: General Quantity Restriction
CCRCC_LIMITS - EHS: Relative Quantity Restriction
    CCRCC_MON - EHS: Monitoring Settings
    CCRCC_PERIOD - EHS: Period Definition
    CCRCC_SCENTYPE - EHS: Scenario-to-Scenario-Category Assignment
    <b>ERECRUIT - PA-ER - E-Recruiting</b>
T77RCF_INCL2FORM - Assignment of Text Element to Smart Form Template

    T77RCF_WL_OUT_P - Output Profile
T77RCF_WL_SEL_P - Selection Profile for Worklists
T77RCF_WL_SEL_PV - Values for Selection Profiles in Worklists
    Points awarded!!

    Hello Brenda,
I cannot speak for the EHS stuff but the tables you mentioned for E-Recruiting are part of the functional enhancements for e-recruiting 600 delivered with e-recruiting servie pack 7.
E-recruiting delivered 2 service packs which implmented new functioons. These were the e-recruiting packs 5 and 7. Futere enhancements will be delivered with the standard EhP (enhancement package) szenario - first of them is EhP3 for e-recruiting awaylable today if i remémber the schedules correctly..
You are probably missing these tables as you do not have installed the packages yet - so check your sp level. I strongly recommend you to upgrade to the newest service pack 11 for e-recruiting especially if you use / plan to use the webdynpro candidate frontend. But also for other implementation szenarios the sps are very urgent.
    For the table in detail:
T77RCF_INCL2FORM - is a tablke for the new letter / correspondence change functionality using a dedicated changable text area in the smartform whixh has the advantage towards the old solution that changed correspondence can be printed propperly.
All other tables are part of the so called dashboard functionality.
You can find additional information on these functional enhancements in the software download centered of the sapnet under "Installations and Upgrades" -> "SAP Application Components" -> "SAP ERP" -> "SAP ERP 2005" -> "Documentation".

  • XI and E-Recruiting

    Hello,
I'm just curious to know if anyone has done any implementation of XI and E-Recruiting.  Also, if you could point me in the way of a blog or documentation on the XI configuration, that would be most helpful and I'll award points.  The documents I currently have are titled:
"New Hire Scenario E-Recruiting and HCM Processes and Forms"
    and
    "Job Board Integration XI 6"
My main issue at this point is when a posting is kicked off, I do not see it in RWB or SXMB_MONI.  Also, on the business system, I do not see it there in the SXMB_MONI.
If anyone has done this scenario, please let me know.  I do appreciate the help.
    Regards,
    John

    hi john,
may be the reason is your message is not coming upto XI.
or you give no selaction criteria in SXMB_MONI and check your business system is appearing or not .
Or  check in <b>Message Monitoring  in RWB.</b>
    hope this will help

Can anyone tell us where we need to maintain Recruiters and how?
Also are there any Workflows involved once the form get submitted?
    Please help

Were you able to solve this problem ???
If yes, Kindly let me know the solution....

  • Recruitment and Succession Planning Infotype maintance maintenance in ECC

Is there a way or transaction in ECC(not using portal) to maintain following infotypes
    Work Experience (Infotype 5103)
    Education (Infotype 5104)
    Qualifications (Infotype 5105)
    Desired Employment (Infotype 5106)
    Desired Location (Infotype 5107)
    etc.
There infotypes are related to Recruitment and Succession Planning
and also same of for maintaning talent group (infotype 5115) maintenance
    Thanks
    YSS

    Dear YSS,
Unfortunately there are no way to maintain these corresponding HRP51* tables in ECC according the documentation : Display/maintenance allowed to limited extent
Usage of standard table maintenance tools is allowed to a limited extent:
    - Transaction SE16 allows the display function for this Dictionary object, but no maintenance.
    - Generation of a maintenance dialog for this Dictionary object is possible using transaction SE54
    - Transaction SM30 does not allow maintenance and display functions for this Dictionary object

  • E-Recruiting and HR Instance Separate Instance

    Hi,
If E-Recruiting and HR has Instance Separate Instance, how do we get the Internal Candidate from HR system? By ALE? If yes, which program do we run to trigger the ALE?
If ALE, what is happening when ALE is running? Will it create CP and BP? When NA will get created?
How to assign a Login Id to Internal candidate?
Let me know, if I’m not clear.
    Regards,
    ...Naddy

    Hi Naddy,
yes if you have a standalone installation the internal candidates are created via ALE (at least in the common cases).
The common configuration for an e-recruiting ALE transfers organizational units, positions, jobs and employees. For the first 3 objects the inbound processing is done in the standard way. For employees the system uses the BADI HRALE00SPLIT_INBOUND with implementation HR_INB_PROCESS_IDOC to create central persons, business partners and candidate object.
The user ID is taken from IT0105 subtype 0001. If the employee has no user assigned the system will generate one. To get hands on the login information (if there is no SSO) the user can request the password in the webfrontend. This requires that the user is maintained and known to the candidate or the emailadress is maintained in IT0105 subtype 0010. If not at least one of these 2 options is available for each candidate it would be an issue for the implementation project to deal with.
The Idocs are created via T-Code PFAL (report RHALEINI) for the initial load of data. After this RBDMIDOC is used to create Idocs from the change pointers.

  • Same TREX server for KM indexing and e-Recruitment

    Hi,
Is it possible to use the same TREX server for KM indexing on the portal and e-Recruiting searches on R/3?
    Many thanks
    Jane

    Hi,
in general and from a technical view it's possible.
But it depends on the load of the applications, perhaps it's a better approach to separate them e.g. for a productive environment.

  • E-Recruiting and ESS for ERP2004

    Hello,
We are implementing ESS on EP 6.0 SP9 with ERP 2004.  I am currently trying to get the 'Career and Job' workset to function, but am having difficulties.
Per the documentation in the  MSS 60.1.2(page 16) business packages, I have defined a system definition in the system landscape called 'SAP_BSP_EREC' and pointed to our ERP2004 instance where HR and E-Recruiting is installed.
Right now I have two issues.
    1.  On the ERP2004 side, when I try to test any of the e-recruiting services from SICF, such as hrrcf_start_int, I get the following error:
Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: Das Objekt default.htm in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/bsp_veri/default.htm?sap-client=800&sap-sessioncmd=open ist nicht gültig.
    Error type:
Your SAP Business Server Pages Team
    2.  When I try to test any of the career and job iviews from the portal, such as 'Candidate profile'  I get the following error:
    com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro::WebDynpro/TopLayer
    MandatoryParameters
    DefinitionType       Java
    System               SAP_BSP_EREC
    Application Name
    OptionalParameters
    WebDynproNamespace
    Application Parameters
    DynamicParameter        rcfLogAppl%3DPROFILE_BUILDER
    DebugMode  No
Why am I unable to test the E-Recruiting services from SICF?
What am i missing on the portal configuration that is preventing me from testing the e-recruiting i-views?
    Thanks,
    -Matt Schababerle

Some what similar problem I also faced......
When I try to open any HRRCF(*) service on the I.E, it gives me the following error :-
This server does not support the HTTPS, thus it is potentially unsafe to send the password and then it give the same error message mentioned by Matt Schababerle.
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: Das Objekt default.htm in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/bsp_veri/default.htm?sap-client=800&sap-sessioncmd=open ist nicht gültig.

  • Recruitment Vs E recruitment

Hello People I have one clarification to make.
Is recruitment prerequist for E recruitmetn or not? I mean can we implement E recruitment without the implementation of recruitment.

    hi
    recruitment and erecruitmen are different
in e recruitemnt R/3 should be needed a wab based service i.e. Enterprise portal,
where as in recruitement we don't need enterprise porttal,

  • E-Recruitment & R/3 Recruitment

    Hi,
1.) Is it possible to implement both - E-Recruitment & R/3 based Recruitment for one particular client?
meaning - is it possible techinically?
    Assumptions:
1.) E-rec is on a seperate server & R/3 based recruitment is on a seperate server
2.) Is SAP plaaning to stop supporting R/3 based recruitment in the near future? If so, where can I find the related documentation?
    Please help.
    Thanks!
    PS

    Hello,
From my understanding, the old recruitment will be supported only if you are in the lower versions. All new developments and future enhancement will be to the E-Recruiting solution. This is when the new ERP version is released. The same will apply to the old PD modules like Appraisal, Career and Succession. The new Talent Development concept for portal will be used. All old R/3 applications where there are new web-enabled applications will no longer be supported. This is my understanding.
SAP E-Recruiting and Recruitment are not the same and there is no need to use both. If your company can afford to put E-Recruiting, i think it handles all the functionality in the old Recruitment plus more, such that you wont need the old. Why does the company need to have both - is there some certain functionality which they want in the other which is not available in the other module?

  • E-Recruiting and IE8

<p>We are currently on E-Recruiting 6 with Enhancement Pack 3 SP level 5 with Netweaver 2004s (7.0) (support pack stack 20).
    </p>
    <p>PROBLEM <br>
We did some testing with Internet Explorer 8 and the Candidate Web Dynpro seemed to work fine.  However, if the user changed the zoom level to 125% (actually any zoom level not evenly divisible by 100%) then the initial screen displays (at least most of it) and then locks up.  This was true for several possible entry points, all of which were Web Dynpro applications:
    Candidate - External Registered
    Candidate - Internal (Employee)
    Candidate - Register as External
    </p>
    <p>SAP NOTE 1347768 <br>
We looked at SAP Note 1347768 ("Web Dynpro and Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8.0").
Basically it said that if you are getting the message "Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro!" then "Microsoft IE 8 browser version will be supported starting with following WebDynpro support package:  NetWeaver04s,SP20 / NW7.0,SP20."  But we are on SP20 but did not get the message "Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro!".
    </p>
    <p>SAP NOTE 1296463 <br>
We also looked at SAP Note 1296463 ("Browser suport in NW 7.0").
This note said it is "the main note for browser support for Release NW 7.0.".  The bottom indicated that "SAP aims to support Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.5 by Q1 2010 at the latest."  Well that wasn't extremely helpful since some of our users are on Vista and use IE8.  And since it didn't give more specifics like support packs, et cetera.
    </p>
    <p>COMPATIBILITY MODE <br>
One other thing about Note 1296463 is that it says "Microsoft has confirmed that IE8 in compatibility mode works exactly like
Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). Any error that customers experience in IE8 in compatibility mode should also occur in the same way with IE7. So SAP will deal with this as with any other IE7 problem (standard support for all versions/patch levels that are released for use with IE7). However, if there is an issue with IE8 in compatibility mode that does NOT occur with IE7, SAP reserves the right to refer customers to Microsoft for assistance."   Our findings were that this problem did not happen in IE7, but DID happen in IE8 when in compatibility mode!
    </p>
    <p>JUST GIVE ME A PICTURE <br>
The document that was MOST USEFUL was, by far, a PDF I found that neatly summarizes what I wanted to know ... the document's title is SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Product Availability Matrix (PAM) [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80800e7d-da0e-2b10-9e8c-b85181ad8fac?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true]
This document showed (on page 8) that Web Dynpro (for NW 7.0) is supported for IE8 on Vista as of Support Pack Stack 15 & on Windows 7 as of SPS 20.  It also confirmed that our Linux Firefox 3.5 users (and believe me, you get them all when you have external candidates from around the world appying to jobs) are not supported until SPS21 & we are on SPS21.  Useful information!
    </p>
    <p>SAP NOTE 1397363 <br>
Now that we knew we are on a "supported" verison, we felt better about submitting an SAP message asking for help.  We then sent SAP a message and they were kind enough to point us to SAP Note: 1397363 ("Web Dynpro application freezes if zoom level changed in IE8").  We applied that note and that fixed our problem.
    </p>

    Hi,
do you have a solution for the problem? We have actually a similar problem with locked IE8 when using a zoom factor > 100% (it's a customer WD4A).

  • E-Recruiting and ECC Integration Password and Authorization.

    Hello,
We are running a stand alone E-Recruiting 3.0 with bringing data from our SAP HR system using distribution model.  Everything is working correctly, but the client does not want to have SSO, so internal users are brought in to E-Rec, but their passwords are not, and they have them due to ESS.  Also when they are brought in, for some reason with Authorization as a reference user of External Candidate.  Any help?
    Thanks,
    Alex

Yes we need password for them, because we are not using SSO or the portal they manually have to login to e-Recruiting.  We have ess, so they all have ID's and passwords on the SAP HR system.  I thought maybe we can bring in their passwords from there, because they are syncronized to their network id's.
    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Implementing e-Recruitment and HR on same/different server

    Hi Friends,
We are in the process of implementing e-Recruitment for an Organisation with approx. size of 15,000 employees. This will also include Internal Job Postings.
I have the following questions in this respect:
    1. Should E-Recruitment 6.0 and HR ECC 6.0 be implemented on the same server or seperate servers ? What are the pros and cons in both the
    scenarios ??
    2. Should the E-Recuitment portal server be different from the HR-ESS
server or shall it be implemented on top of ESS portal 7.0 ??
    3. Which server scenario is recommended ?
    Regards,
    Shashank

    Hi Shashank
    1.  Its not mandatory that ECC & E recruitment shd in the seperate servers.  But because of few security reasons, they will be maintained seperately.  For example:  E recruitment will be accessed by the external people also, who want to apply for external job posting.  So, there is a risk for ECC for exposure of data like employee master data, financial details etc., actually this risk is not direct, but by any chance that someone might hack to get the data - just to avoid the chances, thats all.
    2.  The Erecruitment & ESS can be in the same server for internal job posting
    3.  Better suggestion would be ECC & E rec would be in seperate servers.
    Regards
    Sirisha
