Hi All
Can anyone tell me if  ESS and MSS is compulsory if we want to use E-Recruitment-6  EHP4???
Our client does'nt have ESS and MSS but we want to implement E-Recruitment -6 with EHP4 to use  webdynpro apps and not BSP

You can use different technologies for the user interfaces of the scenarios for the internal and/or external candidates:
Business Server Pages (BSP Technology)
If you want to use exclusively Business Server Pages (BSP) within SAP E-Recruiting to display user interfaces, you must perform all IMG activities for SAP E-Recruiting except for the activities that are flagged as relevant for Web Dynpro ABAP.
Web Dynpro ABAP
If you want to set up SAP E-Recruiting to use Web Dynpro ABAP for the scenarios for internal and/or external candidates, you must make additional settings in addition to the aforementioned settings. For more information, see the Implementation Guide for SAP E-Recruiting by choosing Technical Settings -> User Interfaces -> Settings for User Interfaces with Web Dynpro ABAP.
Note that if you have the system constellation whereby the front-end system is separated from the backend system, you must make settings in the backend system as well as in the front-end system.

  • Regarding E-Recruitment EHP4

    Hi,
    We have upgraded from E-Recruitment EHP2 to E-Recruitment EHP4.  We  need to do some customization in the applications like changing the description texts, label of the UI elements etc.. Is there a place in the configuration settings so that we can do them directly or what could be the way to do so.  When analysed the respective applications, so many components are created and used in some other component and mainly FPM is used. Any help on this is highly appreciated.

    The FPMs are created using component configuration. Using the same component configuration technique you can generally change labels and texts quite easily.  You will need to study the component configuration of the FPM itself and the configuration that may also be attached to any inner WD Components (particularly if GUIBBs were used).

  • E-Recruitment EHP4 Ext Cand Pages Logo and theme

    Hi,
    I am running e-Recruitment EHP4 SP4 and I want to change both the logo on the applicant cockpit page and also the colours and fonts (theme). Has anyone done this before, or can anyone suggest how this is done?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Please check SAP Note 1017866. It explains what is required to apply your own themes and logos for SAP e-Recruiting WebDynpro for ABAP candidate scenarios - i have pasted the relevant sections below for you:
    Themes
    To start Web Dynpro applications concerning a certain theme, you can use "sap-ep-themeroot" URL parameter. Enter the encoded path to the location of the theme as the value of the parameter. Certain Web Dynpro applications are called using a redirect handler. In this case, you do not have to enter the theme as URL parameter. It is sufficient to define the path for the parameter THEME_URL in the back-end system in the Customizing activity "Defining URL parameter for applications with Web Dynpro ABAP".
    Logos
    By implementing Note 1091733, you have the option to integrate logos above the application title using a specific configuration. The note enables you to integrate logos in the following areas:
    .> Unregistered search
    > Apply Using Reference Code
    > Application wizard
    > Registration
    You must create an application configuration and a component configuration for the relevant application. As part of the component configuration, there is a configuration controller with the node 'LOGO' for the following Web Dynpro components:
    > HRRCF_C_SEARCH_UI: Unregistered search
    > HRRCF_C_REFCODE_SRCH_UI: Apply Using Reference Code
    > HRRCF_C_UNREG_APPLWZD_UI: Registration page for the application wizard
    > HRRCF_C_REG_APPLWZD_UI: Application wizard
    > HRRCF_C_REGISTER_UI: Registration
    This configuration controller has the following attributes:
    > VISIBLE: The logo is visible
    > URL: URL of the logo picture
    > HEIGHT: Height of the picture
    > WIDTH: Width of the picture
    In contrast to the abovementioned applications, you do not call the application wizard explicitly but only indirectly (for example as a search result). Here, you can only define the application configurations that you want to use by implementing the BAdI 'HRRCF00_DETERMINE_APPL_CONFIG' (enhancement spot HRRCF_APPLICATION_WIZARD).

    The substitute maintained by the manager is the one who assume his responsibility in E-rec when he is absence.
    The E-recruiting manager role can do two things:
      --> Create Requisitions
      --> Maintain Substitutes

  • E-Recruiting EHP4 Manager Adobe Scenario

    Hi,
    I am looking to implement e-recruitment EHP4 with the Manager raising the requisition request via an Adobe form. I cannot seem to find any documentaiton on this in the IMG. I have heard that I need to have case management for Adobe forms set up, but again have found no details on this.
    Has anyone done this before and can you point me to any  documentation that could help?

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your response.  I had seen that note before and the changes noted seemed to have already been in our system. 
    The Assert error we are having happens in the Send process - the check seems to work okay, but when we click Send, the system dumps.  It is failing in CL_IM_HRASR00ISR method get_external_data_value while attempting to lookup the value for ASYNC_BACKGROUND_SAVE which doesn't exist in the external_data table.
    And no, I wasn't in Orlando for HR 2010.

    Hello Gurus, I have a problem
    In the recruiter workcenter, when I create an activity for a candidacy (pre-selection, candidate assessment or any other activity), it is not getting updated in the relevant tab pages.
    I do not see an updated status in the "ALL" tabs either.
    Can you help me. I reviewed the config steps, everything looks correct.

    first of all it is important on which support package level you are as there have been some display issues in the lower ones for e-recruiting ehp4. Last week the SP4 for E-Recruitng EhP4 has been released in the service marketplace. You should really think of upgrading to it, not only because itself and the prior support packages fix a lot of bugs. It also brings a lot of recruiter functions to ehp4 which were originally not migrated from the bsp applications to the webdynpro ui. All these functions are delivered as business function HCM_ERC_CI_3.
    In addition to that you should know that the process step assignment of a candidacy has been changed with ehp4. Before it was depending only from the most recent activity. With EhP4 you can directly assign a process to the candidacy without creating an activity. This function is always on. It can be combined with the old dependency from the most recent activity. But therefore you have to set a T77S0 switch correctly. If this swith is not set in the right way, activities no longer have any influence on the candidacies process assignment. (I'll add the name of the switch as soon as i have access to my EhP4 system)

    we have installed ehp4 with web Dynpro and I am searching the link for creating an *internal* application.
    The external Aplication I found in the se80 ERC_C_APPL_MGMT_UI. But this link is only for external applications.
    The other Links I try to find is for the portal. I need it in the ESS and the MSS.
    I didn't find them in the package PAOC_RCF_UI_SELF_SERVICES.

    For creating manual internal and external applications, the WebDynpro application is the same - ERC_A_APPL_MGMT. The component is the same ERC_C_APPL_MGMT_UI as you have said in your e-mail. In this component you can also check the view V_APPL_DATA and see that both fields for internal and external are available. The fields are determined at runtime based on whether you have selected 'Internal' or 'External' link in the portal. In the recruiter portal role, when configuring the pages for internal or external you use Application Parameter IS_INTERNAL. If IS_INTERNAL=X then this parameter will be passed to the component mentioned above and the system will know that it should display internal candidate fields. If  IS_INTERNAL=' ' then system will display for external and this is the default.
    You can click package PAOC_RCF_WD_UI > Web Dynpro > Web Dynpro Applicat and right click ERC_A_APPL_MGMT to test. When the page opens, you can add parameter &IS_INTERNAL=X to the URL and you will see it will change to internal application page.

    Hallo there,
    as I read in other threads I copied the standard theme to a custom theme and set the parameter theme_url in spro to my custom theme path.
    But it won't work directly. If I'm doing URL-Escaping sap-theme = <custom-path> it works fine, but I want it directly with the path as I've done it before in ehp1 and the bspthemeroot.
    Can anyone help me?

    unfortunately for web dynpro there is currently no similar solution for globally setting the style as it was in bsp with the themeroot table.
    The SPRO customizing for setting the theme link you found just effects "indirect called" web dynpro applications. If you link an e-recruiting web dynpro application to your company career page you have to add the url parameter mentioned in a post above otherwise you will always get the standard theme. If this application calls another one it uses the customized theme by automatically including it in the called url. So usually you include the links for startpage and unregistered search on your webpage where you have to add the theme parameter in the link. When these applications start the application wizard they take the theme from customizing.
    When it comes to web dynpro for recruitiers, admins and managers with EhP4, everything runs within portal where you usually use the portal style handling which hands down the general portal style to all applications for the consistent look and feel.

  • Requisition Creation Process from MSS in E-Recruiting-EHP4

    Hi
    I have the client requirement, that any of his managers should be able to create the  requisition and submit it. It should go to the Recruiter and then assigned Recruiter should be able to do the job posting etc.
    Once the candidates applied to those requisitions, Managers should be able to see the number of candidates applied for and also their status.
    Please tell me, how this could be achieved and what all steps I have to do for this? I also noticed, that HCM forms and processes overview page is coming as blank. Do I also need to install Adobe Interactive Services

    Hi Rosy,
    First try out creating a requisition and have a workflow routed to the managers.
    See that all managers have the authorization to create requisition.
    You have to define the recruiter role, recruiter admin role, restricted recruiter role also.
    check for standard workflows through swdd tcode and explore things.

    I think there is no standard application for this,  however you refer the candidate to the mail id of your company wherein the recruitment team addresses the same as internal references. they administer/ upload the resume as referral and communication happens to you..

  • External Candidate -- E-Recruiting EhP4

    I have a situation -- the external candidate completes the registration and when she clicks on the Register button, nothing happens -- it does not take you to the candidate profile screen.
    I checked in the backend and the data is created, BP, et al.
    With the same set of data, if you click on the Register button again, an error is displayed, "the same e-mails address exists".
    Would you know what might be the cause? 
    The customer is in QA. We are not able to set up the debugged in the QA

    in addition to the post above. If you use a frontend and a backend server for e-recruiting not only check that the unregistered candidate / service user has the authorization to assign the role of the external candidate to the newly created candidate (often a problem if you copy the standard roles to z-roles and forget to replace the standard assignment authorization to the new z role). Also check that the unregistered candidate role on the backend includes the RFC authorization for function group SUSR as this is missing in some release stacks.
    You also should remember that the unregistered candidate has to have the user type "Service" and must not have a candidate created using rcf_create_user otherwise the session switch from the unregistered to the newly created user will not work properly.
    If you still have trouble take a deeper look into authorization. You can use SU53 (and switch to the unregistered user) to see the last missing authorization or better run an authorization trace using ST01 for the user.

    How you customize query in the recruiter dashboard. I register infoset as POWL query no, then I no see it in the dasboard?

    I assume what you mean is that you have included the query through report WDK_GENERATE_POWL_CUST or through IMG 'Display Own Queries in POWL'. The next node 'Include Queries in LaunchPad' is what you need to do to include the report in the dashboard. When you click the node, you ha ve to click on change in the column RECRUITER - REPORTS - Recruiter LaunchPad.  You can then create your own folder or include the report in the standard folder. To include your report you click on 'New Application' while highlighting the required folder. In application category you have to select Webdynpro ABAP. You can then enter the other parameters as per your generated report name. You can click on standard 'Activities with Requisition and Candidate' to see how the parameters are supposed to be entered, especially in the Parameter field. Once you save here and then go to the portal, the report should be appearing.

    Hi all,
    I am trying to activate the url of the web dynpro external candidate registration. we have setup the hrrcf_a_ext_cand(may be i misspelt the name) and it is fine.
    Now when a user tries to register using the "REGISTER" button the application asks for another login(this is not a popup window), although anonymous user is setup for the REGISTRATION web dynpro application.
    Any ideas..

    You need SAP XI to integrate with external job boards?  I think you can configure it. I did search on SAP Help and SDN , I see no mention.

    the integration to external job boards can be done using XI, but only very few cutomers use this way. Either they have no XI at all or the projects using XI do not want to let the HR e-rec guys play with it.
    Usually you go for some customer development implementing a publisher class creating the data / files for the job boards. The exact implementation depends on the job board and in some cases on the special aggreements how to interchange data.
