E-Recruitment &TREX

Hi,
We have successfully created indexes for HR_DOC (doc_area = hr_kw) and these have been registered on th TREX server.
Problem is when I perform a TEST SEARCH (trans SKPR07) for word 'document' it comes back with 0 entries or any word in that case.
All connections to TREX server is active, can someone advise what could be wrong.

I have also noticed the following:
When performing a test search using transaction SKPR07, I get 0 row found. I have noticed in the RFC trace file the following error:
[3024885424] 2007-12-09 14:46:33.241 e TREXRfcDll rfddll.cpp(00867) : table size mismatch for SRET_INDEX_STORAGE_SEARCHING:DOCATTRTAB, rfc=29,exe=27
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem as I cannot find anything useful in OSS.

When a free text search is perfomed in E-Recruiting, there is a percentage match displayed beside each result. My client wants to know how that match % is calculated and what is the formula behind it.

Hello Suresh,
the value is determined by the TREX engine. It is usually an issue in projects that if you have a back/white search criteria like gender which can be just male or female you get either 0% or 95,348264530245% instead of 0% and 100%. But that's how search engines work due to some fuzziness (google is nothing else here).
Unfortunately search algorythms are very complex. So probably someone at sap developing the TREX core could explain it (if they open the technology and algorythms to the public) but I assume it needs some maths degree to follow the description ;o)
I had this question in some of my projects. The answer "it's like google" usually worked!

E-Recruiting TREX and fuzzy search

is fuzzy search available for the e-Recruiting module. We are using TREX 7.0 and e-Recruiting 6.0.
If that functionality is available, how does it exactly work and is it customizable?

Sorry to jump on this thread with nothing to add except my problem.
We are currently in the process of implementing E-Recruitment 3.0 as an extension to ECC 5. I have configured the system and have been doing some unit testing, and have found that when I
- try to "Apply Directly" in tab "Career and Job". If I enter the reference details of the specific job it finds the specific. Or if I leave the input field blank and hit the search button, it returns all jobs posted. However, if I try using a the "Search for Jobs" link option, I get a consistent error "An internal error occurred. Please try again later"
When I check transaction SLG1.....and the error log says the termination occured in a program called CL_HRRCF_ABDTRACT_CONTROLLER==CM001 line 56 and CL_HRRCF_SEARCH_MASK_GROUP====CM00M line 15
Same thing happens when searching for candidates to assign requisitions to.
Has anyone come across this prolem before? Any help will be greatly appreciated, as we have a tight deadline.

No results searching attached documents in e-Recruiting/TREX

Hi,
I get no results using TREX when searching the content of the documents attached to the candidates using free text search in Talent Relationship Management service.
I get though all results searching the attached documents using the transaction SKPR07.
I get also results applying all other search criteria.
We are using ERECRUIT 6.0 SP10. I have also checked MIME types both in IMG and in TREX. Everything is set up.

E-recruiting TREX search problem

Hi all,
I am experiencing a problem when searching from e-recruiting. Everything appears to be set up ok. Documents are being correctly indexed and all RFC connections are ok. Job RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES runs successfully.
When I do a test search from SKPR07 it only returns results if a space is entered between each letter of the search word. For example, if I search for the word 'skill' I get no results found but if I enter 's k i l l' it does return results.
A bigger problem is that no search results are returned from the user interface both for the external candidate and the internal recruiter.
As I say everything is being indexed correctly and I get successful results when performing a test search and a test index from the index category tab of the Search Server relation Monitor (transaction srmo).
Has anyone encountered this before or have any suggestions as to how this can be resolved?

I got a response from OSS on this so it is now resolved.

E-Recruiting: TREX--Search not working from TRM

Dear experts,
We have a strange problem in our implementation.We have configured TREX 7.0 with eRecruiting 603.The TREX is without SES.
If i go to succession planning & do the search against a succession plan(requistion) by clicking cnadidate search, i get search results & i can assign them to the plan.
If i go to Talent Relationship Management & try to do the search,it gives me an error"An internal error occured.Please try again later".
If i go to SLG1 & check the logs, i can see the following:
"Proficiency scale could not be read
Message no. HRRCF0001127

I feel that the custominzing in the table T77RCF_SCALES aer not perfect.
there may be missing entries here For example :
- No entry in Customizing table T77RCF_SCALES for scale type [A]
- No entry in Customizing table T77RCF_SCALES for scale type [C]
- No entry in Customizing table T77RCF_SCALES for scale type [W]
- Customizing table T77RCF_SM_ASME contains no corresponding entry for
SMASK_ID =0002
Please make the entries accordingly..

E-Recruiting Trex

Hello,
Right now I have a requirement in job searching, I need to add some search element such as company, job alias into the search template, and I had added them, but when I input the company name or job alias, no search result returns, even there are jobs that blong to the company or of the job alias.
How should I do?

Take a look in the IMG:
SAP-Erecruiting->Talent Warehouse->Candidate->Candidate Search.
I assume that you added the search mask elements there.
Additionally you need to add the fields you search on into the search profiles there.
(Each search mask element needs an corresponding field in the search profile.)
Afterwards you need to update the search profiles. After RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICE ran, you should be able to search on the new fields.
So you see, you do not need to change the XMLs manually.
Every data set XML can be recreated by the IMG.

Trex search E-recruitment

Hello all,
I have a question regarding a service in an abap engine:
I have configured a trex engine for e-recruitment and I am getting an error code 8002.
if it happens in a java engine I now that you have to configure a java service called URL Generator service, in that service you have to put the hostname. is there a similar thing in abap?
did anyone encounter the problem?

The problem could be that the pre-processor loads the documents and performs preliminary parsing/analysis on the document before the index server can get to work on it. The URL generated will be used to load the documents and must have sufficient information else the pre-processor fails.

TREX not working for e-recruiting with HTTP content server

We have a separate e-recruiting instance where we have only e-recruiting functionality installed. In this system we are using Storate type as "http content server instead of standard setting "SAP system database" for HR_KW content repository via transaction code "OAC0"
Following are the details
Document Area: HR_KW
Storage type : HTTP Content Server
Version no. 0046 Content Server version 4.6
HTTP server vd24cs02.sce.com
Port Number 8080 SSL Port Number
HTTP Script archive
Phys. path /usr/sap/N09/SYS/global/
Points to be noted:
1) TREX Search functionality for Job postings etc is not
working with this setting, however if we use HR_KW_CONT (storage type=03 SAP System database) , above mentioned functionalities work. We observed that xml files required for TREX search are also not getting created when we change the settings.
2) We observed that when we change the storage type the indexing job is successful but application log shows some failures in reading/modifying xml files
Please let me know what are the settings/ procedure to use a different storage type instead of standard setting delivered with the product. Anything related to the setting for above requirement

Recruiting problem with the candidate search by trex with questionnaires

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to search candidates using trex in recruiting by candidate_questionnaires but the trex does not show any result. How can I solve it?
When candidates register theirselves on internet, they complete questionnaires that I have added in the apllication wizard.
But the problem starts when I want to search candidates by the answers that they have complete in this questionnaire. So I select the criteria search candidate questionnaire, then I select the questionnaire and then the answer and I run the searh. I know that the results shown are always about others requisitions and not the one that I am doing the search. But in my case candidates are assigned in other requisition with the same process template so I do not know where is the problem, because other sort of search works fine. This is the only one that it does not work.
In addition, I have run the report RCF_CHECK_SEARCH_SETTINGS but the result is that all the parameters are fine except that I have not implement the badi HRAHAP00_FOLLOW_UP_SES. May I have to implement?
Moreover I have seen that when I select the answer to search, any operator (element of selection mask) is assigned but I have read that it is correct because I am using the search profile "int_cand" with the category "candidate_document" that it use in the mask search candidate_questionnaire.
In conclusion, I don't know how I can solve this problem with trex? Any idea?

I need help to configure TREX search functionality in E recruitment .
Does anyone have any documentation or steps to configure it.
It would be great if you could pas me on the steps to configure TREX in E recruitment.
AS far as I know we have to do some settings in search profile and search template but what exactly has to go in these img steps I dont know .

Hi,
it is standard functionality in e-recruiting. Go into IMG into E-Recruting -> Talent Warehouse -> Candidate Search -> Search profiles. You will find a step for "Assign attachment types to search profiles". There you can define the searchable attachments. But it just works if you create search indexes as described in the IMG or indexing notes for component PA-ER in service market place.

E-recruitment and TREX

Hi,
I'm trying to configure the search engine for e-recruitment using TREX 7 (34) and ERP 6.
The SSR, index category etc are all set up for document class HR_DOC and document area HR_KW.
Using SKPR07 there is a message about a new api, SKPR_INDEXING1 but I've not found any help on this area.
However, for every client in the ERP system an index has automatically been created. However, whilst the system can see documents to be indexed, none are being indexed. Upon checking, there are no queues set up that relate to the indexes that were created. Shouldn't there be a corresponding queue for each index? If so, any ideas why these haven't been created?
Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks but I've resolved the issue now. We didn't have any queues at first to be able to flush but it was matter of turning on a parameter to use a queue server.
There was a pre-processor authorisations problem too.
Note 658052 and 650521 sorted us as far as indexing documents.
Now onto why the searches through the portal return 0 hits whilst they work in the backend. Still, a few more notes about that.
