E-Recruitment upgrade

Helli experts,
We are upgrading E-Recruitment 600 stack 12 to EHP4/EHP5.
What is the approch. technically? menaing can we just upgrade from ehp4 DVD, what are all the steps?
Also If I want to upgrade to EHP5 then do I need EHP4 ro i can directly upgrade to E-recruitment EHP5?
current E-Recruitment is a stand alone system.
Thnaks,
Danny

Hi Danny,
Please have a look at note 1143022 for the installation. Regarding E-Recruiting if you decide to activate the business functions there are some changes you will have to do -> see also note 1241014. As the search is realized there then with SES you will have to check also note 1301016.

  • EREC : Upgrading browser compatibility for SAP E-Recruiting

    Hi
We are currently using E-Recruiting 603 Sp 2 (Netweaver 7), does anyone knows how to upgrade browser compatibility. Currently we are only supporting Internet Explorer and Firefox up to version 7.0 and 3.5 respectively. Does anyone how to upgrade the browser compatibility to includes the newer version of IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
    Expert please help.
    Regards
    Ridzuan

    Hi Ridzuan,
We have exactly the same problem as we currently run eRecruitment on EHP3 (Netweaver 7.00).
With EHP3, SAP officially support IE and Firefox only. This doesn't help external job applicants who can be
applying using any web browser. In particular Mac users tend to use Safari as its the default browser. Its not at all
good customer service to have to tell job applicants to download and install Firefox just to be able to fill in a job application.
When we originally implemented, eRecruitment worked fine in Safari, but currently all the drop down lists, date pickers
and pop-up dialogs fail to render making it unusable. This is caused by a security restriction in WebKit (used by Safari and
    Chrome) blocking frame navigation.
SAP officially support Safari as of EHP5 (which runs on Netweaver 7.02). If running via the portal you'd need Netweaver 7.2 portal or above for Safari support for the portal.
I also found a SAP Note 1642778 " which includes "Unified rendering: Support for Safari, Chrome browser", which is
relevant to EHP4 (Netweaver 7.01). Upgrading to EHP4 and above isn't a small step if you've done any significant customisation on the BSP Recruiter pages as these are replaced with new ABAP WebDynpro pages.
To date I haven't seen the unified rendering corrections back ported to Netweaver 7.00 even though they were for 7.01
and this isn't officially supported (as per the PAM as mentioned by Andy).
    See https://service.sap.com/pam
Then look at the link in the middle of the page:
"Browser information for: SAP NETWEAVER 7.0,  SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 and  SAP EHP2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 "
This opens a PDF showing official support dependencies between browser versions and SAP versions and patch levels.
    EHP3=Netweaver 7.00
    EHP4=Netweaver 7 EHP1 (a.k.a. 7.01)
    EHP5=Netweaver 7 EHP2 (a.k.a 7.02)
To see what patch level you're running log into the SAP GUI on the eRecruitment system, then select System->Status...
from the menu. Click the detail (maginifying glass icon on the right next to Component Version). Then look at the patch
level of the SAP_BASIS component. Compare this to the patch levels in the browser support PDF to see which versions
to upgrade to e.g. SP24 or higher for IE9 support.
We're currently patching our EHP3 system up to SP25 to help with IE9. Firefox 8 is working (as is Firefox 9 beta).
Sadly Safari and Chrome still aren't working and this is the latest patch level. SP26 is mentioned but not out yet.
Also check the browser roadmap on p17 of the browser support PDF. It makes clear they intend to support Safari and Chrome
going forward but no timescale is given.

  • E-recruitment -  enhencments / upgrade

    Hi,
To follow our customer requirments, we need to do the following:
    - Make changes to views, such as adding input , add tabstrips, add buttons etc.
    - Add new functionality
    - Transfer the new fields values to r/3.
We would like to know how to accomplish that, taking into account upgrade issue:
1.Copy the whole e-rec application (all / part) to our namespace.
    2. Use badi's /  Use enhencment spot ???
    3. Use customization (SPRO)
4.Use webdynpro / bsp application (SAP intend to move to webdynpro ..)
Can anyone give us a direction....and some details..
    Thx a lot,
    Ronit

Could you give some detailed explanation about, whether BSP or Web Dynpro. We have not implemented neither of them. But, we have got the BSP configured in our DEV system. Our system is not live yet. But, looking in to the SAP's strategy of moving into Web Dynpro instead of BSP's, we are not able to decide between Web Dynpro and BSP's.
Please give me your valuable advise. Good decision at the begining at the begining helps us a lot in long term.
    Thanks a lot,
    Kind Regards,
    Gopal.

  • E-Recruitment  and EHS - tables are missing ECC 6.0

    Hello All,
We have recently noticed that we have tables missing in our  SAP HCM and our EHS(Employe Health and Safety) Development Box.  I am attaching the list of tables for review by all.  Can someone tell me, please, if they know what these tables are for and if they are part of a note or submodule running off main modules for E-Recruitment and EHS.  I checked notes in OSS but cannot find the tables for the EHS or E-RC modules.
We cannot find these tables listed anywhere.  We are using ECC 6.0 and the BB installlment was for N. America.
    <b>EH&S Tables</b>
CCRCC_CHCK_ON - EHS: Online Checks for Regulation/Scenario/Scenario Category
CCRCC_DET - EHS: Data Determination Modules per Regulation/Scenario
    CCRCC_DETDOCTYPE - EHS: Modules for Regulation/Scenario/Scenario Category
CCRCC_EXCHG - EHS: Data Transfer from and to EH&S
    CCRCC_FILTER - EHS: Data Filtering
CCRCC_LIMITG - EHS: General Quantity Restriction
CCRCC_LIMITS - EHS: Relative Quantity Restriction
    CCRCC_MON - EHS: Monitoring Settings
    CCRCC_PERIOD - EHS: Period Definition
    CCRCC_SCENTYPE - EHS: Scenario-to-Scenario-Category Assignment
    <b>ERECRUIT - PA-ER - E-Recruiting</b>
T77RCF_INCL2FORM - Assignment of Text Element to Smart Form Template

    T77RCF_WL_OUT_P - Output Profile
T77RCF_WL_SEL_P - Selection Profile for Worklists
T77RCF_WL_SEL_PV - Values for Selection Profiles in Worklists
    Points awarded!!

    Hello Brenda,
I cannot speak for the EHS stuff but the tables you mentioned for E-Recruiting are part of the functional enhancements for e-recruiting 600 delivered with e-recruiting servie pack 7.
E-recruiting delivered 2 service packs which implmented new functioons. These were the e-recruiting packs 5 and 7. Futere enhancements will be delivered with the standard EhP (enhancement package) szenario - first of them is EhP3 for e-recruiting awaylable today if i remémber the schedules correctly..
You are probably missing these tables as you do not have installed the packages yet - so check your sp level. I strongly recommend you to upgrade to the newest service pack 11 for e-recruiting especially if you use / plan to use the webdynpro candidate frontend. But also for other implementation szenarios the sps are very urgent.
    For the table in detail:
T77RCF_INCL2FORM - is a tablke for the new letter / correspondence change functionality using a dedicated changable text area in the smartform whixh has the advantage towards the old solution that changed correspondence can be printed propperly.
All other tables are part of the so called dashboard functionality.
You can find additional information on these functional enhancements in the software download centered of the sapnet under "Installations and Upgrades" -> "SAP Application Components" -> "SAP ERP" -> "SAP ERP 2005" -> "Documentation".

  • E-Recruitment 6.0

    Hi,
We are experiencing intermittent errors in our e-recruitment system. When a recruiter creates an activity, everything on screen looks ok. There are no error messages nor any indication that something is wrong. However, there are times when these activities have disappeared. The recuriters have tried to recreate the activities and again everything looks like it was saved properly (they even have screenshots showing the saved data). However, the activities disappear again.
We did a trace, but found nothing that would indicate that the save failed. We've looked at SLG1 if there are any problems, but I have not found anything that seems to be related to this issue.
Has anyone had this sort of experience? Does anyone have any suggestions on what we should be checking?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Richard,
the architecture that e-recruiting uses 2 objects for applicant tracking application (otype ND) and candidacy (otype NE) is one of the most difficult parts of the application. So this is not a bug or missing configuration it is just as e-reruiting works. But while this architecture has its justification from the technical or data modelling perspective it usually overstrains most end users.
From my experience many customers just ignore that aspect of the application and anywhen run into troubles. Only few really take it into account during the initial roll out. Designing the e-recruiting business process and configuring the application in a way that it works with this system behaviour is a challenge which seperates the e-rec professional from the true masters ;o) - basically there are 3 overall approaches which integrate different applicant processes and communication strategies with certain activity customizing and workflows. Unfortunately my introduction into this topic takes about 2 hours and has a 50% chance the audience will stay away from any e-rec project for all time :o).
To make it more confusing and troublesome the standard delivery for e-recruiting activity customizing is not helpful here at all, that's one of the reasons I recomment using ones own activities instead of the sap examples. Furthermore the new EhP 4 functions support another approach then the workflow examples suggest up to ehp 3 (of course the workflows have not been adapted to EhP 4 so upgrading gets quite a challenge).
The question for you will be, can you or better your end user handle the system behaviour using multiple candidacies on an application together with the described effects or is it necessary to change process, communication strategy, customizing and workflows. So far I had one customer who did reduce the complexity after 2 years of production as he learned the end users had to much dufficulties to handle the original approach.
Sorry that I can not supply any easier solution to your problem.
    Kind Regards
    Roman

  • MOPZ error while generating stack file for EREC upgrade

    I need to upgrade E-Recruitment 604 to 606.
Currently we are on Netweaver 7.01 While adding this system in SOLMAN 7.1 SPS 05 in order to generate
stack.xml file i manually selected this product system in product system
editor and we had selected below combinations
1)EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0/NW 7.01(marked as installed) + SAP ERP
-> started MOPZ with same and selected target as SAP ERP 6 EHP 7 but
while doing so got error as Invalid queue because EA_APPL is not selected
but actually EA_APPL is not in components for EREC system
2)EHP4 for SAP ERP 6 with ABAP technology and E RECRUITING + EHP1 for
    NW 7.0
->started MOPZ with target as SAP netweaver 7.4 but while doing so
getting error as "EHP Component ERECRUIT 604 without suitable Technical Usage!"
and Mark relevant instance to include the software component ERECRUIT
604 in SMSY/LMDB but Product system editor is perfect and verification tool is also green.
    Please help
    Warm Regards,
    Sumit

    Problem has been resolved.
SAP E-recruiting should be selected in SAP ERP 6.0 as a pre-requisite.

  • Upgrade 4.6C to ECC6.0 IT0000 can't be overviewed, can only be displayed..

    dear all,
we are currently in the process of upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we found this minor issue in the submodule PA:
using tcode pa20/pa30 we can not see any record of IT0000 Actions using 'overview'
but the all the detail actions can be displayed..
this is only happen in IT0000
other infotypes can be overviewed and can be displayed as normal.
anyone ever gone through the same issue?
we have updated patch for SAP HR : SP 32 and EA 7.
    the authorization is SAP ALL.
looking forward to hearing from you.
    best regards,
    dhenny muliawaty (pei pei)

    dear JLJ
we're still on the upgrade process. i can only share with you our current condition and the lesson learnt.
we have copy production, upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we did not face authorization issue or any other main issues in HR cause we have not yet implemented the submodules e-recruitment/ESS/other sub modules that are being enhanced in ECC6.0
our technical team did the oracle database upgrade + 4.6C upgrade to ECC6.0 right away directly after the oracle database upgrade. TST production is considered ok. we only have some minor configurations to be done.
next when our tech team upgrade the oracle database to ver. 10 in R/3 4.6C production system, and there's a time lag (interval) where our 4.6C production system not directly upgraded to ECC6.0 after the oracle database upgrade done.
and current condition - production database oracle upgraded, the R/3 4.6C Prod has not yet being upgrade to ECC6.0,
R/3 4.6C production face the authorization issue (not HR module, but other modules)
we need to check and apply sap notes/release to solve some errors in 4.6C production system and related modules settle the authorization issue. current progress is still on the technical abap preparation and functional testing.
it's been scheduled the next step - tech team will upgrade the production system from to ECC6.0 within next week. we hope all will be ok.
from this experience, my suggestion is that you need to make sure basis team have implemented sap support packages module related/ enhancement packages- latest updated one in your 4.6C system, then you also needs to check sap release notes implemented related with your module.
would you share the steps have been done in upgrading your production system in detail?
    thanks and best regards,
    dhenny muliawaty (pei pei)

  • E-Recruiting - active on both central ECC + Standalone box and integrated?

    Hi,
Can someone tell me if the following landscape is possible with E-rec? (we are installing ehp4)
    a) Our central ECC system with the E-Rec component activated. Used for internal recruiting.
      +
    b) A standalone E-Rec box , connected and integrated via ALE to the above central ECC system. Used for external recruiting.
So we now have have E-rec activated on both systems with the standalone one integrated into the ECC6 one where E-rec is also active.
Will we have all the functionality of E-Rec/Talent Mangement availalble in this landscape? Will the manager via the Recruiter business packages and MSS be able to use all functionality seemlesly with all data merged between the systems? Do you think all BI reporting on E-rec will work as it suppose to?
We want to be able to integrate and use the data from both systems as a single unit with standard SAP functionality. We only want to physically seperate where the external and where the internal users log on to.
    Thanks

    Hello,
My suggestion to you would be to have the ECC server upgraded to EHP4, activate E-Recruiting and have it inside the firewall as the back-end server. Recruiters and Managers accessing through portal will access this system. You will have the other server as the front-end server with E-Recruiting. Candidates will update their information in this front-end server, which will in turn update the back-end server through an RFC. This can be achieved through configuration if you check in SPRO.
There is no such thing as external recruiting or internal recruiting to some extend. What you have is external and internal candidates in the same talent pool. It is when you post to candidates where you can select whether you want internal candidates only to apply or external candidates. The external will not see internal postings and vice-versa when they search for jobs. External candidates will login from the internet while internal candidates will login from the portal. Your candidate's information will be residing in both systems but the backend will be updated through an RFC.
In this case the BI will work as normal. I hope this will help you - but this is my opnion.
    Best Regards,

  • Technical upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0

    Experts,
1.We need to make Technical upgrade in HR from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 with OM,PA, -ve Time,Payroll, Recruitment (other Modules also upgraded).Kindly let us know what will haeepen for the following .
    A.Configrations in SPRO
B.Previous database (Cluster table for previous Time and payroll run)
C.Master data of employees which is stored in Infotypes
2.Also Kindly let us know is there anything we need to take care after moving from 4.7 to 6.0

    Hi Kumar,
Basically there needs to be a Transport established between 4.7 and ECC6.00 Version . You can create Transport request for those tables whose value remain same in 4.7 nad ECC6.00 But for tables having changes you need to create the Configuration.
1 more method applied by organization is a client copy of tables.

  • Selection of usage type for EHP7 SPS02 ERP 6.0 Upgrade

    Hi Experts,
We are planning to upgrade our SAP ECC 6.0 to EHP7 SP02 ERP 6.0, But during MOPZ configuration to generate the side effect report, its prompting to choose at least one technical usage type. I am not able to judge which is the right usage type to our environment. I have checked with functional team and they said our business type is Logistics but in the list logistics not found.
Here i have attached this list of components installed in our system and list of usage types which is showing in MOPZ. Please suggest me with correct usage type to proceed.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Suresh Babu

We searched in SDN and got one threads with similar kind of errors. As mentioned in the thread, we have activated below items.
    1. HCM_ERC_SES_1-activated
    2. Customizing table T77RCF_SPT maintained with required information
    3. Run report RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES to update table T77RCF_INT_PUB.
Still we are getting error as mentioned above. Can anybody help on this?
    Regards,
    Purnima

    Dear Purnima,
You should have a look at it in client 000. This is where you can find the table entries how they are shipped with SAP. Problem is that this is the search customizing and if we have other customizing entries in our system they don't suit to your system because I found one different entry in table V77RCF_SMG_NAVI. Please can you check out all tables and compare them with your client 000? (all tables in IMG candidate search > search profile and search templates).
    Hope it helps,
    Regards
    Christine

    Dear Experts,
We have updated the following support packages:
         SAP_BASIS 14-18
         SAP_ABA 14-18
         PI_BASIS 14-18
         SAP_BW 15-20

After that, Some webdynpro for abap which used PDF report has some errors, which dollar could not be displayed, which indicates some kind of error 'o'.
We check that the pattern is of this column is from old version :num{$zzz,zzz,zz9.99} to num{($z,zzz,zz9.99)} . How could we deal with this ? And where could I find the related influence of the SP upgrade of adobe and web dynpro?
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Derek

    Chris,
You may be right. Also it requires some configuration in SAP KPro ( document class etc).
Please see SAP [Help |http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/print46c/en/data/pdf/BCSRVBDS/BDS_STRUCTURE.pdf]on Business Document Services.

  • Upgrading to EHP 4.0 - Have few queries on ESS/MSS, Erecruitment.

    Hi,
We are trying to upgrade our portal to EHP 5.0. We have ESS/MSS and few webdynpro java and webdynpro abap applications on the portal. These are the few queries I have
    1) ESS services : employee search, personal data, LMS(Webdynpro Java) are on EHP 3 as of now. Will the applications remain the same even if we upgrade to  EHP5?
    2) ESS travel management(Webdynpro ABAP) are on EHP 2 as of now. Will this application remain the same even if we upgrade to EHP 5?
    3) E Recruitment (BSP) is on EHP 3 Will this application remain the same even if we upgrade to EHP 5?
    4) We have MSS services: ERec Manager and Appraisal. Will these services affect if we upgrade to EHP 5?
    4) We have few custom applications in Webdynpro abap and webdypro java developed on portal. Will these effect if we upgrade to EHP 5?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Priyanka.

    Hi Eric,
    Thanks for your prompt reply.
Can you let me know which version of ESS/MSS and E-Recruitment business packages are applicable for the above version? And are these versions of ESS/MSS available in market now? Otherwise we can suggest our client to go for a upgrade to EHP 4.
    Appreciate your input.
    Regards,

Hi out there and happy new year to forum,
i want to update to implement a recruitment measure (Transaction PB40). I did it already with batch input, but i guess it's much more comfortable to do with funtion module, bapi or calsses.
After choosing the measure, the infogroup will be processed. So i guess, i just have to use the corresponding function modules to update the infotypes in a given sequence. is this suggestion right?
What are these function modules? How to update f.e. IT4000? Does anyone has a coding snippet?
    Is it HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION?
In our Infogroup there are also customer specific infotypes f.e. 9***. Can I use the sap standard function modules for "own implemented" infotypes?
I also appreciate an abap oo pattern or any similar....
    Best regards,
    T

But I don't think that it's possible to hire an application completly with function modules (there is no PERNR in the beginning so I would keep the BIM).
The applicants already exists in system, i just want to implement a measure with exact one click!
Otherwise there is a BAPI for applicant_create.
I'm not very expierienced focussing the implementation in pa-recruiting. I'm really looking for a good documentation or anything like that f.e. sap press.

... but why would you use the old recruiting database? This is hardly used anymore.
What are the alternatives to it. (I'm not looking forward to upgrade releases or using wd4a or webgui). we are on ecc 6.0 There is already a lot of z-coding in recruitment. We are also using an self implemented e-recruiting approach
