E-Recruitment - WDA - HRRCF_C_APPL_SEND_UI - Any Idea?

Question

Hi,
My E-Recruitment system (ECC 6.0 and SP10) uses Web Dyn Pro ABAP (WDA) application for Internal and External candidate.
My requirement is to set the application status to ‘Reject’ if he is not completed 1 month with his current position  when Internal Candidate apply any job through Internal candidate link/UI.
I understand that I need to make change in copy of WDA HRRCF_C_APPL_SEND_UI. Do you have any idea/input how we have to call the Custom WDA application after modifying it?
Still I’m debugging and trying to identify the spot to put my logic.
Application Flow so far -> HRRCF_C_APPL_SEND_UI->COMPONENTCONTROLLER->cl_hrrcf_m_appl_send=>sc_send_application -> FM ‘HRRCF_MDL_AWZD_APPL_SUBMIT’.
I would appreciate for any input/help to achieve my requirement. Do let me know, if you need anything else.

Hi Naddy,
seems I have been thinking of a bit different topic before now I am understanding your topic. You want to restrict applications from internal candidates not being in their current position for a set time.
After thinking of that topic for a while I came up with various ideas how you can handle this requirement. In the end the customer has to decide which he likes most (or is willing to pay for g). But I think the decision will highly depent on the fact how this restrictions for applying are published to the customers organization. Depending on this a general decision will be if the customer wants to prevent applications of applicants not fullfilling the time in position requirement or reacting on such application. Preventing the application or direct reply / rejection is only possible if the customer comunicates directly to the employees, if this is more an internal HR thing not openly said you have to keep the impession of a normal process of course.
To prevent employees from applying at all you can either keep them from the system at all which would be a quite rough way to solve the problem. But implementation with a job to lock / unlock the users should be quite cheap. More elegant would be replacing the job search by a customer application which switches screen between the normal search for applicants fullfilling the requirement and a screen saying "sorry you have to wait 18 Months". Depending on the usage of other WebDynpro applications like the new unregistered employee job search you might have to do several other developments to get this solution complete.
To react on an application by setting it to rejected there are differnt options, too. I probably would not change the WebDynpro component as modification or enhencements disturbs patching and upgrading. I think if I have the option to chose on my own I would put this development in my workflow for sending the confirmation of receipt. I'd put a logic into it that checks the requirement and reject the application directly there if the requirement is not fullfilled. The other option is a periodical service to handle these application.
All solutions have their advantages and disadvantages because of the dependencies to the normal hiring process. Some options are only possible if the customer openly communicates the restrictions. Furthermore you have to keep the applicaqtion and your customer development in mind.
If you could provide me with some additional information on:
- is the restriction public or only hr internal process?
- has an information to be send to the applicant?
Then I'd try to guide you to the best approach.
