E-recuiting

Hi All,
In SAP e-recuiting on ECC 6.0, EP 7.0.
However, when we try to execute bsp application from R/3 or portal, some application gives error message of BSP and some applications gives login page. In login page when we enter userid/pw it shows error message that uid/pw is not correct.I have checked serives for the application in SICF.its activated.
do i need to create any roles for the users for e-recruiting?
and also if I m trying to save the data in the Skills profile of career & jobs it give the error
<b>com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCExecuteException: Screen output without connection to user., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE</b>
Please let me know any cofiguration <b>in SICF or se80</b> or any other config are required to get it working.

Hi,
transporing stuff from one system to another is no matter of the platform the system is installed on. If you defined a transport layer it should be no problem at all if not just have the basis guys move the co- and data file to the trans directory of the new server.
If you did only configuration (= customizing) this should not include any development objects which have a source system. But if you created own OTR texts, created customer contexts to SAP OTR texts, if you created web dynpro configurations or did any other developments you will have to transport them and change the source system. The easiest way to do this is report RDDTADI7. You just put in the transport task and it changes all src systems to the new one.
In general I personally do not like using the sandbox as base for the production system. I need no half day to get all configuration from my customizing sheet where I design the configuration to a server. Usually when you start from a sandbox or project members used the dev. system like a sandbox it's hell of cleaning work to get all the crap configuration and data based on it out of the system. In the long run doing the configuration right once in a half day saves a lot of time.

Hi Daya,
As of now if we take into consideration the release of E-Recruitment, you dnt need to have knwledge abt WebDynpro-ABAP, BSP gud knwoledge will suffice your customization needs well, but from Next releases WebDynpro ABAP knwledge will be quiet Handy.

Hello Pavithra,
E-Recruiting uses the BSP technology for user interface. For E-Recruiting 300 BSP was the only user interface, with E-Recruiting 600 SAP introduced WebDynpro for candidate as an option, while for recruiters, managers and admin pages stayed with BSP. With EhP 4 WebDynpro replaces BSP for all E-recruiting applications.
You will find all BSP applications relevant for E-Recruting in Package PAOC_RCF_UI.
For the general structure. The very most applications are grouped on startpages for the different roles in the recruiting process (ext. candidate, int. candidate, recrutier, decision maker, ...). To get the links of these standard startpages just run report RCF_GENERATE_URLS. You can then logon to the different startpages but be sure to generate a candiate for your user first, using report RCF_CREATE_USER.
To learn more about how the different applications are linked within the startpage check the startpage and perhaps the container sequence customizing. Keep in mind that in the IMG only the customer entries are fond. To see the sap standard delivery you will have to use SE11/SE16. E-Recruiting customizing is stored in T77RCF* tables, startpage customizing is T77RCF_SP and container sequence customizing is T77RCF_CS. If you do not get along with the table descriptions just check the technical info of the tables/views behind the IMG nodes, then look for an table named without the C at the end. also check table T77RCF_LOG_APPL.

Can you mimic the mail-merge part of Recuitment to other areas of HRMS?

We are migrating to Oracle HR from a legacy system that allows users to run custom mail-merge MS Word docs from almost any screen that they choose. Is it possible to do this in HRMS from areas other than OTA and Recruitment?
For example, when someone leaves the company, automatically run a letter. Are Oracle Alerts suitable for this? Or would this have to be a manual concurrent request? We don't want Oracle Reports as a concurrent process, as the MS Word output is difficult to edit with all of the frames it uses. We also don't want the users to manually enter parameters - just use the current record on the screen.

You can create custom Web ADI Integrators for any HRMS forms apart from the HRMS People Management template forms. You will need to create a view similar to the one used by the forms and make sure you link the Web ADI Layout to a Mailmerge template document. I can walk you through if you want.

Using E-recuitment 600 on ERP 6.0 Ehp4 (NW 7.01)

We have upgraded ERP system to ERP6.0 Ehp4 on NW 7.0 Ehp1. Now we are
planning to implement E-Recruitment. We are thinking of using
development system in production support landscape for E-recruitment
implementation project.. yes same development system in production
support and project landscape......and therefore we are trying to
minimize the application on support packs/ OSS notes.
We are also planning for intergrated E-recruitment backend system and
separate E-recruitment frontend for external candidates.
Question is:
Can we implement E-recruitment 600 (NOT 604) on ERP 6.0 Ehp4 (on
NW7.01)? Will there be any real issues? Any reference documentation is
highly appreciated.

Hi,
I have the same problem on ERECRUIT604 EHP4 SP4. I cannot retrieve managers using Find Hiring Manager search on the Create Requisition page.
I have though found out that there are 2 cases.
On the one-instance solution with HR and ER on the same server an employee is retrieved as a Manager if there are following relationsships to his CP object:
B     207     Is identic     BP
B     208     Is identic     US
B     209     Has employ     P
B     650     Has candid     NA
Especially the relationship CP B208 US is critical. The problem is though that this relationship is not created automatically be the system as on the one-instance solution the user is retrieved from IT105 subtype 0001 via P object, so you have to create this relationsship manually. Or am I wrong?
On the two-instance solution with HR on one machine and ER on another the above solution does not work at all. Here the relationship CP B208 US is created via ALE, but it does not help for retrival of Hiring Managers.
I have also added the 'manager' role to the employee, the employee is the manager in the Organizational Structure, and still I cannot retrieve him.
Maybe it's a bug in the system. Anyway I cannot find any hints telling what are the assumptions for using this functionality.

EEO information in Create External Application -- E-Recuitment

My customer want to include EEO questionnaire in the Create External Application service. How is the EEO data saved, in which infotype or table. WIll the EEO information that is entered , can it be tracked in EEO reporting?
I would also like to know, how other customers use this service to collect EEO information. My customer are not willing for an activity.

Request Questionnaire and Request EEO Questionnaire are standard activity types, but if you dont want to create seperate activity types, you can create a questionnnaire and addign it to directly to the requisition or add it to the process template which will then be available for any applicant in the application wizard when trying to apply against the job posting.

E-Recruiting recuiter cannot release a requisition.

Hi,
We need to mantain an e-recruiitng SAP system with approvals in requisition management.
Our client wants the manager (role Restricted Recruiter) to make the requisition but it must be release by the recruiter (role Recruiter).
I can do the step of creating the requisition, choose the recruiter in a list of recruiters and send the requisition by the worflow. The recruiter recives an email with the alert and can see the requisition in his dashboard.
But when he wants to release the requisition, the button is deactivated. So it´s imposible for him change the status and publish the requisition.
I don´t know if the problem is in the roles or in the workflow. My recruiter has the role SAP_RCF_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 and the workflow ends without errors.
Somebody can help me?

Hi,
the restricted recruiter scenario creates a workitem which should be displayed in the UWL of the connected Portal.
From there the recruiter can release the requisition.
Why don't you use the requisition request form within the MSS package?

Also, generated the URLs using RCF_GENERATE_URLS. When i copy and paste the URL in a browser, the logon page pops up. When i enter the username(has all the e-Rec specific objects assigned to it) and password, it ends in a short dump. Below is the text:

What could be the problem ?? I have done all the config related to e-Recruitment... Also activated most of the SICF services...
Could something be pending from BASIS front ?? Below are some of the keywords found in SM21 log.

Implementing e-Recruitment and HR on same/different server

Hi Friends,
We are in the process of implementing e-Recruitment for an Organisation with approx. size of 15,000 employees. This will also include Internal Job Postings.
I have the following questions in this respect:
1. Should E-Recruitment 6.0 and HR ECC 6.0 be implemented on the same server or seperate servers ? What are the pros and cons in both the
scenarios ??
2. Should the E-Recuitment portal server be different from the HR-ESS
server or shall it be implemented on top of ESS portal 7.0 ??
3. Which server scenario is recommended ?

1. Its not mandatory that ECC & E recruitment shd in the seperate servers. But because of few security reasons, they will be maintained seperately. For example: E recruitment will be accessed by the external people also, who want to apply for external job posting. So, there is a risk for ECC for exposure of data like employee master data, financial details etc., actually this risk is not direct, but by any chance that someone might hack to get the data - just to avoid the chances, thats all.
2. The Erecruitment & ESS can be in the same server for internal job posting
3. Better suggestion would be ECC & E rec would be in seperate servers.

How to create documentation from BEx query

Hi,
I would like create documentation for each query,so that end user can get idea about particular query.
But I can see some documentaion from context menu(right click)->Goto->Display documentation.
Any tips???? Points will be given.

Go to www.help.sap.com
Select NetWeaver -> Select BI Content
In the left hand panel select your appliacion components (for Example:
Human Resource - > Recuitment -> Queries -> select any one query)
It will disply Technical name, Based on the InfoCube, Use and what are the
Free characteristics, characteristics, Keyfigures etc.
Now Create one Excel Sheet.
and create your document and show to your client.
If your client wants sample preview, then copy this query and check in the
BEx analyser. cut and copy that preview in your Excel sheet.
Then the Document looks beautiful...

What are you experiences with candidate "blacklisting" in SAP E-recuiting. What are standard tools provide in SAP E-recuiting to prevent "unwanted candidates" from appearing in searches.
Does any of you have specific examples of pratical use of such tools? We are specifically interested in your experience with flagging "unwanted candidates" or flagging "unwanted former employees"

You can use the u201CExclude from Searchu201D feature to exclude certain candidates from appearing in recruiteru2019s search. This features gives you the ability to view u201CExcluded Candidatesu201D and include them back in the search at any point of time.
