E-signature with photo goes out as an attachment

I am very new to MacBook. I recently created e-mail signature with a photo. When an e-mail is sent to Mac, it shows the signature with a photo in the body of the text and also shows the signature as an attachment. But when the same e-mail is sent to PC, the signature with a photo shows only as an attachment. It creates a problem since recipient has to open the attachment to read the signature.
Is there any way to send email signature with a photo not as an attachment?

Apple Mail encrypts messages differently than the rest of the Pack.
It embeds Attachments into the body of the message.
Everyone else Attaches it separate from the body.
To comply, Mail (I think) complies with both.
And when .Mac subscriber emails other .Mac subscriber,
they both use Apple's system, when Gmail-er emails Yahoo-er
or .Mac-er emails Gmail-er Mail attaches it both ways.

Issues with finder going out of sync with file images in cover flow.

Hi All,
I'm having issues with files going out of sync with images in cover flow since updating to Mavericks. Typically, if I had for example 10 pictures listed as 1 to 10, if i deleted images 6&7 the images remain in coverflow but the file listings are removed, then if i click on image 7 the file listing of image 8 is highlighted, then to make matters worse, if i click on the file listing for image 9 in shows image 8 in cover flow. To stop this I have to shut down finder and restart it, then the whole thing repeats itself if i delete more images. Its a nightmare when your working with 50 plus images at a time!!! Help!!

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/. Move the .plists to your desktop.
Re-launch Finder by loggin out/in and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.

You might need to redo the View settings after an update.
If you look at the 'More Like This' box (top right) it seems the Cover Flow view is having problems.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

"Why is the task so difficult"... It is not.
However if you paste an image in, it is stored in your temp folder. Next time you reboot your operating system it should delete it. Perhaps that is your problem. Most people have no regard for files and think everything works by copy and paste. It does not.
HTML at it's base is not user friendly and windows users in particular have trouble with the concept of a document being made up of a collection of files, which is how HTML works. When you insert your image, make sure to check the box that says "attach this image to the message" otherwise ensure your image file your inserting is on the public internet.
BTW, Thunderbird is a complex and powerful email client. If you want simple, use a web service which does little, but is simple. But In Thunderbird, Outlook.com, Yahoo, and Gmail all will require a HTML signature done exactly the same way as HTML is what powers the internet.

Timestamp of videos not consistent with photos - appear out of order - bug or user error?

We just returned from Hawaii and, of course, we have a mix of photos and videos. However, subsequent photos and videos taken about the same time, which should have timestamps minutes apart, have timestamps that differ by 4 hours. As I dig into this deeper, it seems all the videos have timestamps 4 hours from what they should be(my view). At a minimum, I believe the photo and video timestamp should be set per a consistent definition.
I am determining this after I imported the pictures into iPhoto. I have done the import several times and the results are consisent.
Example:
IMG_0233.JPG - April 6, 2013 6:14:46 PM
IMG_0234.MOV - April 6, 2013 11:15:08 PM <----This should be 6:15:46 PM
Tried to verify the timestamp of the video and photo while the picture is on the iPhone…had to buy iPhoto for IOS for $5. The photo timestamp is the same as stated in iPhoto(IOW, IMG_0233.JPG is 6:14), but the video timestamp is just April 6, 2013…no exact time. Guess I wasted $5.

Home Timezone: Chicago - normally GMT-6(4 hour difference from Hawaii), but right now Chicago is GMT-5 due to daylight savings.
My theory is that there is a bug that sets the video timestamp to the 'home timezone', potentially only when 'automatic timezone is set.
This seems easily fixed by doing a batch change to adjust the timestamp on all videos
Any other explanations? I am hoping I am doing something wrong.

2) i just imported a bunch of pictures and videos from an android phone. Same issues. The Android photos seem to be perfectly aligned with the photos from the iphone 5, but the videos are 5 hours off the mark(later). Of course, I want to view the pictures with the time in Hawaii, not Central Time, so the videos are definitely in the wrong from an intuitive standpoint...as I see it.
2013-04-09 11.14.25.jpg - Taken at 11:14am in Hawaii. This data is per the file as it sits in dropbox and viewed by my mac mini Finder. Android puts the file on drop box from the phone, and I imported to iphoto from dropbox. Despite the filename indicating 11:14am, finder says the file was created at 4:14pm. However, iPhoto, correctly puts a timestamp of 11:14am and picture is where I expect it from a time standpoint at 11:14am.
2013-04-09 11.15.05.mp4 - Taken at 11:15am in Hawaii. This was imported into iPhoto via dropbox at the same time, but it is showing up in iPhoto at 4:15pm, throwing off the sorting.
So, now I believe I have an iPhoto issue and probably brought this question to the wrong forum?
I have fixed the problem by doing a 'adjust time and date' to all videos, both from iphone and android, to be 5 hours earlier in time. Now everything lines up, but I am scratching my head why this isn't done consisently between photo and video in iPhoto, and why I have not run into this before.....

It is not possible to put an actual image in your signature as the settings will not let you paste an image in the signature settings section.
You may be able to put a link to an image as HTML but I'm not sure how to do it, or if it will work.

IPhoto 9.3.1 update still does not fix issue with photo being out of focus when you hit the edit button

I thought that this update would finally fix this, but this is not the case. I haven't been able to edit my photos for over a month now since the last update because of this. APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS.

First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

When a photo is viewed in iPhoto 9.6, why is it sharp then immediately goes out of focus?

When viewing photos (full window), the photo initially is sharp then immediately goes a little out of focus. Thanks to some previous forum responses, a fix is to slightly shift the zoom button to the right, clearing the photo right up. When going through 100+ photos, obviously this is an untenable fix. I assume this is a bug that needs repair.

As a follow-up, I found that if I hold the left mouse button down while on the zoom button, no matter where it is on the slider, the same effect happens, that is that the photo goes out of focus. Once released, the photo sharpens. This DOES NOT happen when the zoom slider is all the way to the left. There as stated earlier the photo stays out of focus.

During editing on MacBook Pro 2.2GHz i7, audio goes out of sinc with video

I have been having a lot of trouble with audio going out of sinc after I have edited a 30 minute program. When I make a second cut, I find that the audio has jumped under the first cut about half an inch back, and this happens with every progressive cut. Then after "sharing" to dvd the audio is out of sinc with video throughout. I then have moved each one of these overlaps back into position and still have a problem with audio out of sinc.
HELP.

I was using a different laptop for post since the macbook was busy "sharing" to dvd, which, since I closely examined each cut at highest magnification to fix them ended up making video watchable. Not every cut came out of sinc, but several do.
It is both sides of the cut which come out of sinc, the right side laps over the left and then I noticed when I corrected them with greater magnification that the left side was moved left to cause a gap. I guess I just have to closely examine each cut when done with the whole video since also these overlaps are caused when I zoom out to view the whole length of the timeline, most of the cuts will overlap at that moment. Really strange. I had trouble fixing these but less trouble whe I turned off the snap in option.

We are executing a campaign automation process and sending out survey in the first campaign element. The customers who answer to the survey are sent out a thank you email automatically.
This thank you email is going out as an attachment with empty body instead of regular mail.
But when same mail form is sent out thourgh communication test directly through "Maintain Personal Forms" (without BPs ), it goes out fine .
Only When its send out in thank you email as a follow up step for someone who replies to the survey does this happen.

Same thing happens even if i test it with a BP.
But late this evening i figured it out. Only for thank you email ( because this workflow is kicked off in response to survey answer) the only format that works with the email forms is following :
usage : Internet Mail (smtp)
Text type : Text or HTML
Every other combination corrupts thank you email.

When using Photoshop all my photos come out with a redish tint.What is going on?

I can print color and black and white photos all the time, except when I try to print a manipulated photo using Photoshop. When I use Photoshop they have a redish tint to them. It does not matter if I print try to print color or black and white, they all come out with a redish tint. i do not know what is wrong. my printer works well at all other times. this problem occurs only when i go to print photos from Photoshop. Help , Please.
I use Windows 7 and have an HP 4680 office printer.

I went to my local Apple store last weekend with a similar issue on my 2007 C2D MBP and they quoted me a price of around £60 (excluding VAT) to replace the optical drive. That's about the same price as the external optical drive a bought for my RMBP.
Alternatively you could just buy a 3rd party external drive if you want to save cash but note that the external Apple superdrive is not compatible with MacBooks with built in optical drives.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Self explanatory.
You could try creating an iPod version of the films.
Use CTRL and B to display the Menu bar shown above. Alternatively, use the ALT key, followed by the F key, the W key and finally the I (eye) key - that's (menu)/File/Create New Version/Create iPod or iPhone version.
