I'm learning the EJB 3.0 and I'd like to change jta-data-source for projects in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.
I explain:
In the same Application, I have a project with all Entitys and Session Beans. At the moment, the persistence.xml file is there with the jta-data-source tag.
I make a new project with JUnit (Cactus) for test the EJB's that I'd like jta-data-source reference the test database.
I make another project, with Servlet/JSP/JSF that use EJB's with interface and I'd like jta-data-source reference another database.
What kind of changes (workaround) I could make to solve this problem?

There are COOM data source which may suits your needs.
please check data source

Base tables are COSP and COSS.
Check about coom data source, if not suitable then go for custom data source.
About table cross verify with your source team.

I am an Honours student of the Edinburgh Napier University who is undertaking an academic thesis entitled u201CProject Management factors in Successful ERP Implementationu201D.
I hope to examine whether typical project management issues such as controlling costs, limiting overruns, managing scope creep, realisation of benefits, assessments of risks and risk management were significant factors during implementations.
To this end I would like to distribute a web based questionnaire to individuals/organisations who have gone through a SAP implementation.

thank you very much for completing my survey and I am also very grateful for the feedback.
I had questions about IT service companies before. But my questionnaire was too long and people stopped answering by the half. So I had to delete Questions. But this is a good point and I will use this for my dissertation for further research.
I am sorry and a kind of embarrassed, that my survey has some mistakes. The only problem is that I cannot edit them since it is open or I have to delete the responses.
I also agree that not everyone can complete the questionnaire. This is one of my biggest problems, because they start to answer the questions but without finishing it.

Accessing data nested inside a JSON data source in Project Siena

Hi all
I'm trying to work with JSON data sources via REST in Project Siena. I can easily set up the JSON data source and get the data into my data sources list. However, the data is nested, so for example a REST request to search returns JSON data that is unpacked
(correctly) as:
search_query > entries > name
I have tried two different REST-based data sources with the same result. I have tried accessing the data a couple of ways: firstly via a Gallery view and secondly just getting a listing with a DropDown.
For this example, I've tried setting the Data items to search_query!entries (and a bunch of other things) with the idea that I could then refer to ThisItem!name and when that failed trying almost everything I could from the function reference

Should this work? It seems like it's an extremely common structure for JSON returned from a RESTful service (top level containing count, pagination, other data and then a set of result details beneath).
Any ideas appreciated. For completeness, the two data sources I've tried are the Box.com Content API (Search and Folders) and the ZenDesk API (Groups).

What you get back from the call is essentially a table with a single row--the "entries" column within that row have multiple rows that contain the name data. Try binding First(search_query)!entries to extract the name records.

Owners custom field source in Project Server 2013

I have two PWA environment. The users are synced using AD. The permission mode used is SharePoint permission mode. I have a user who is not getting listed in the Owners field(out of box field) in one environment. The user is added on to the PWA owners group
and Project Manager group.
Need to know the source of the people picker in the Owners field.

No, there is no default method to "lock" an enterprise Project field after a project manager has entered or selected values in that

Managing Open Source Web Projects...

the Roller 1.2 branch, using Subclipse.
Then I have chosen "Manage as Web Application" in the menu.
And I get an error message...
"Unable to find a valid WEB-INF folder in the select project."
Yes, there is a /web/WEB-INF/ folder. But there is no web.xml in that folder. What does "valid WEB-INF" mean?
Now who is "wrong" here? The target in open source development must be "Check out, Code, Test, Check in". Is it
- Eclipse that is not flexible enough?
- NitroX that is not flexible enough?
- The roller project that does not confirm with Specification? (which Specification?)
- How can this be improved?

So what I finally had to do was:
ant built.xml -all
Then I have chosen "Manage as Web Application" in the menu.
Then I have chosen "Rebuild NitroX Database"
But then it did not regognize the "Struts Configuration" automatically.
So I closed the project.
And then open the project.
And then I was at the point, where it looked ok! I now even see the Struts Configuration.
Unfortunately all this still breaks with the rule:
"Check out, Code, Test, Check in"
since there were more steps and knowledge involved.
So who can improve here?
- Eclipse that is not flexible enough?: well, it seems like Eclipse can handle this.
- NitroX that is not flexible enough?: well, it seems like Eclipse can handle this.
- The roller project that does not confirm with Specification? (which Specification?). Yes, maybe the open source projects need to adapt to enable "Check out, Code, Test, Check in", is that right?

Integration of Sourcing with Projects

Hi All,
I was checking some of the sourcing screens and saw project and task fields. I'm wondering if any integration exists between these products. If yes, do we see the negotiations created in sourcing as commitments in projects? Is there any document that talks more about the integration?

Sourcing does not influence commitments.

Transition from X5 to v7 source controlled project

We have a project running from RH X5 with it's native Source
Control server powering it.
We have now installed some RH7 clients and the next stage is
to migrate to the new version of Source Control.. But when i looked
at setting this up I discovered that RH7 doesn't seem to have
actual Source Control functionality any more, it says we need to
install an SQL server to power it..
I was not aware of this, and it is now causing me problems,
after going through the long and tortuous process of getting
approval for the RH upgrade, I now have to present another case to
get SQL server installed.
For info, I work for a major financial institute and we have
tight control on software. I know SQL server Express is free, the
cost is not the issue.. If I cannot get approval for this, what are
the options?
Meanwhile I have found a lovely workaround, installing the
Source Control element from RH5 and this allows the RH7 client to
connect to the project which is running on the old Source Control!
So at least we can connect to the project, but we've had to install
part of X5 on top of v7 which i don't see as a logical solution.
I'm hoping there is a better way (or i can get approval for
SQL server), as I need to roll this out to various other
departments who want to migrate from X5 to v7...

I wish that I had the information to tell me when it was
necessary to go from SQL Express to SQL, but alas, I don't. I did
hear somewhere that SQL Express would only handle so many
users...and no, I don't know how many that is.
You might try setting up an RSC3 DB with SQL Express and
testing it out. In my experience, RSC3 is a lot more stable than
the older version. In particular, it doesn't seem to be so prone to
freaking out over network disruptions.

Best project sizing strategy for software tutorials when UI is 1024w or over?

I've read many of the discussions on the forum related to project size, but am still wondering about this.
I'm creating e-learning modules for software where the required minium resoultion is 1024x768 (but in practice most users have wider displays). In the past I would use a project size of around 965w (as RodWard suggests in his helpful blog post ) and then either downsize the images a little to fit, or do some panning in the project when necessary. I've also used zoom areas a little, but these add considerable labor for the benefit IMO.
My quandary is, while I've always designed my Captivate projects to match the software UI size as closely as possible, I'm wondering if user expectations about this are changing. There are umpteen software 'how to' videos on Youtube and elsewhere set at around 640W (or smaller) and though the screen shots are inevitably blurry, I'm not hearing a lot of complaints. Since one of my goals is to extract the "screencast" portions of my tutorials and publish them as MP4 videos (for mobile delivery, right?) I am wondering if I should not just set my project size smaller and live with the blurry screens, using zoom areas in places where detail is absolutely essential.
Thoughts, opinions and lively discussion welcome!

Personally, I would never settle for blurry images of any tutorial I create. If we're creating a tutorial for output to YouTube video, we now use the HD format size, 1280x720. If there is any way you can use that, go for it. Alternatively, go for YouTube XGA format at 1024x768. Anything is better than 640.
The only way I've seen tutorials work at 640 size is when making heavy use of Panning to follow the cursor around the screen. However, I don't personally like this method because I find it disorienting. It's like watching a screencast through a keyhole.

Using s SQL server as a data source for Project Siena (An AX SQL database more specificaly)?

I cant seem to find this information on the internet yet so I figured I would ask my question here.
I would like to pull data from a Dynamics AX sql database to use in a project siena app. I have heard that this is something that is planned for a future release of Siena but is there any way this can be done currently?

It's not supported in the current version. The following thread from Vijay outlines some of the features targeted for the next release:

Mask Source from Project Output?

Here's a tasty question for y'all. Apologize in advance if this has already been covered, but I couldn't even think of what words to search for this!
Observe video 1 (1 sec): http://www.m-1studios.com/motion/mnofog.mov = a black 3D "M" that falls down and toward the camera, revealing a heavenly white "M" space behind it.
Observe video 2 (3 sec): http://www.m-1studios.com/motion/mwithfog.mov = my attempt to treat the white "M" space as a light shining towards the camera, revealing a fog. what i've done here is created a fog emitter, used a copy of the "M" shape with a Light Rays filter on it as an image mask on the fog, and then cropped the bottom edge of the whole layer to match the top edge of the 3D "M" as it falls down. it sort of sells, but what would REALLY make this sell is if i could use any and all white from the existing white "M" space, *as the mask, that is already peeking through* as the 3D "M" falls forward. is there a way to, um, use an alpha or color difference of two separate groups as an image that i could apply a filter (Light Rays) to and then use it as an image mask?
my guess is no. i'm probably going to have to make separate masks for each section of "peeking white" that i want to mask the fog layer with. but i'm open to your guys' suggestion.
