E1000 Disconnecting for every 3-5 minutes

I am using Cisco E1000. since 1.5 years I am using the internet through this router. Past1 week i am geeting freeqent disconnecting of my internet (for all systems & devices). I am using DHCP connection with static IP. Please check the attached image for your reference.

Try to make sure first if direct connection to the modem is stable or not. If stable with the modem, upgrade the firmware of the router. Double check the hardware version for that also - if your router is a hardware version 1 then download the firmware for version 1. You can download it here: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E1000. If ever the firmware is the latest already then do a reflash (same manner as upgrading it) then reset and reconfigure your router. You can lower the MTU size but are you on DSL internet service or Cable internet service? You can use 1472 for DSL and 1365 for Cable but it is best to ask your ISP about that one. If your router drops with wireless connection as well, set the wireless channel to something else like 1,3,6,9, & 11 and make use of WPA2 Personal for security.

    It sounds like your Wi-Fi connection keeps dropping over and over every couple of minutes. I would try the troubleshooting steps from this article named:

    Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including
    previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords

    i have 2 laptops, one runs xp home and other one runs win 7 ultimate, both machines have pretty much the same stuff on.
    the difference is that with the XP one wireless works great with the web authentication and never disconnects, with the win 7 machine instead, it disconnects me every 10-20 minutes or so, i came up with a trick that is to keep a streaming radio on the background, that way sometimes im connected also for 2-3-4 hours but looks like it times out again after an XX amount of time.
    so should i change the MTU value on the win 7 machine? that seems to be the workaround it by reading here and there....happens the very same with either firefox 3.6 and internet explorer 8.
    on the win 7 machine i installed TCP-Z driver...... > TCP-Z, Best TCP/IP Patch from http://deepxw.blogspot.com/ i tried to disable it and run some tests, but nothing changes.

    Adobe Creative Cloud (1.2.1.2.60) does log out every few (5) minutes. When I start an application I have to login again or accept trial conditions. It is very hard to work. Subscriptio is valid, Payments are done and accepted. It is occuring since last weeks, before it worked all very fine.

    Thanks for your answer. I took some time to take all steps.
    I did make a test account, and there Adobe Cloud is working fine. So I took alle steps to solve it. In the End, because nothing helped, I did uninstall all applications. I did reinstall Adobe Cloud, and again: the problem does disconnect every 5 minutes in the main account (again: test is working fine).
    When logged in into Adoube Cloud, the program still sees some components that are already uninstalled (see image). It makes think there is someting not deleted form the system or there are some rights not OK.
    Are there hidden files or configuration files that I did not see? Furthermore: Cloud is working in the testaccount with default filerights, and is not working with all rights in my default account (see image).
    To be honest, I don't know what to do next...

    My IMAC has been dsconnecting from the internet every 15-17 minutes on the dot its crazy, there have been few occasions where it makes it past the 15-17 minute mark and stays connected for 3 hours!!! Its crazy, my computer apparently stays connected to my router but i dont get any internet connection after while. To get internet connection i have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting from my router, its super annoying.     If Safari is crashing.. post a crash report so we can try and help...
    If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash  information.
    Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply including the, "binary images" seection.
    If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.

                            )SYSDATE is an arbitrary reference point. It doesn't matter if import_date is earlier or later (or sometimes earlier and sometimes later).
    If you want to display this in the SELECT clause, or use it in the ORDER BY clause, then repeat the expression there, or compute it once in a sub-query.

    Meanwhile, please let me know the detailed path of those files in C drive.
    In addition, did you install any third-party application (may run periodically) on the SBS server recently?
    If possible, please perform a clean boot and check if this issue still exists. Please open Event Viewer and check if relevant events were logged.

    That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed).  Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

In most situations, you can request "call billing detail" at no (or low) additional charge, and your monthly bill would then automatically include detail for all calls, even though you're not paying an additional charge for them.
    (As a sidenote, be sure to ask if there is an additional charge. In some areas there may be a per-page charge.)

    I had this problem in gentoo, and opensuse 10.2. But not in ubuntu gutsy or opensuse 10.3.
    i got no idea why it does this, any idea what can be wrong?

    I find that my OS completely stalls for 1-2 minutes about every 5-10 minutes and not clear why. I am running "top -o cpu" from the shell and dont see a process that is hogging the CPU. One issue is that top even stalls with the entire machine.
    I am using an MBP duo core 2 with 2GB of memory.
    rebooted from the OSX DVD, ran disk check, and the disk is fine.
    What is a suggested way to isolate the trouble.

    Disk Utility First Aid doesn't do as thorough a job checking as Alsoft Disk Warrior.
    Use SuperDuper to copy your drive to another drive. Try running off that to test things out.
    Also, if there are changes to Disk Utility in 10.5.2, using the DVD is fine if you must, but better to run off a hard drive.
    Safari's cache grows huge and needs to be reset or deleted from time to time
    ~/Library/Caches - those are all rebuilt if needed.
    Most system stability problems with cache though are in
    /Library
    Try a new user account after you clean out as much temp files, logs and 'junk' as you can.
    You might also install OS X to a small 20-30GB partition just for repairs and emergencies, in addition to a bootable working copy.
    If you don't want SuperDuper, Carbon Copy Cloner is also a good option for backup and cloning.
    Disk Warrior though is the best way to keep a drive healthy, used regularly for preventative drive repairs along with backups.
    Onyx and Tiger Cache Cleaner are designed to help with numerous system maintenance tasks. Buit-in help, terminal command 'man' pages and more.
    And try a Safe Boot into your "test" account AFTER you have backups and make sure your drive really is A-OK.

    Hello this is happening to us also (minus the Bluetooth speaker).  We can't figure out what is causing the data usage.  I turned off mobile data as soon s I activated the device, and got the message that unless I am connected to WiFi.....(that is exactly what I wanted). We watched Netflix for about three hours, then the alerts started.  Like you we have many devices connected and never used over 2GB now all of a sudden we have used it in a matter of hours.  My husband called Verizon  and got the usual doubting Thomas response.  I understand that they don't know my device settings.  So over the phone we check all the settings and turned  off every possible culprit eating up the data and end the call.  By now I have purchased another gig for the month!  Assured we are NOT using mobile data, we continue on the IE path to bliss.  HA!  A few hours later I check the mobile data usage on the Verizon website and that darn thing is still using data.  After two more phone calls and two VERY uneventful trips to the local store we were told to take out the sim card.  This has stopped the data usage, but it defeats the purpose of having the data plan.  I could have just stuck with my Surface.  Verizon sent us a new sim card.  Its been installed and I have set my homepage to Verizon mobile data usage (just kidding) but I am on that site a lot.   I am surprised at the number of complaints about this device.  When we called the Verizon support acted as though this was the first time they had heard about this.   Loved your post, you should write for a living.

    I believe that system has a hall sensor on it to detect when the lid is closed so it can put the system to sleep and/or disable the monitor so it can be used with an external monitor only. If the sensor is marginal or has a bad cable, it may intermittently cut the monitor on and off, and may likewise put the system to sleep. One way to check would be to plug in an external monitor and if the laptop's screen cuts off or doesn't show up, start using the trackpad and press on a non-typing key like the shift key. If the external display suddenly pops and becomes active while the laptop display remains black, it's probably a problem with the sensor or the cable/connection. You might be able to fool the sensor into kicking on and off by moving a magnet over it. It's located on the left had side of the base with the unit opened up, and right over the audio output plug.
    I know of some people that put a small magnet right over the hall sensor's location so the laptop display turns off and they use the system with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If fooling with magnets, make sure they're small and don't get them close to the hard drive because a strong magnet can wipe them out.
    I don't know if this will help you much, but it might.
