E1200 Disconnects upon second logon

My other problem I'm having getting my E1200 to work is this; I'm connected wirelessly with an N-adapter to the router, my roomate is connected directly with an Ethernet cable and to the modem. Whenever he logs ons or logs off from internet I GET DISCONNECTED! Its very frustrating. At first I kept wondering why I would get frequent Disconnects, until I matched exactly the times he would log on or log off. I've never seen this type of problem before in my previous router? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi there. Try to check also if the cable connection is correct. But best if you can provide here your network info - your ISP, modem brand and model. Modem should go to the internet port of router and the wired pc to one of the ethernet ports of the router. If it is the other way around then that explains it why you get disconnected when the other pc is on because the router is acting up like a switch and it can utilize only the ip address of the modem one at a time.

Have exactly the same problem with my wife's MacBook Air. After restaring in Restore mode and trying to repair the disk (Disk Utility showed errors in the verification), the system tells me to backup as much data as possible (how?), re-format the disk and restore backed-up files. Error comes up when "updating boot support partitions for the volume as required".
Original restart action was done due to software update requesting it, if I remember correctly, iTunes was updated.
I don't want to start a painful back-up procedure (although I do regular back-ups): how should I know, where iPhoto stores it's data or where my mails are (yes, still using local mail)? How can I access the data if I can't boot?
My iMac's disk crashed also a couple of months ago and I'm still recovering. I have four Apple devices, two of them have failed. Can Apple afford such a ratio?

[Desktop] Return the possibility to launch Spotify minimized to tray upon Windows logon

You returned the possibility to minimize Spotify to tray by clicking the close button in version 1.0.7 and I am eternally grateful for that.Now it only lacks one more thing - add a fourth option to the "Open Spotify automatically after you log into the computer" setting.Currently there are 3 options - "Minimized", "Yes" and "No". The fourth option should be "Minimized to tray".I want to be able to start listening to music just by pressing the Play button on my keyboard; many times I don't even open the Spotify window (I do that only to change the playlist or perform a search), so I don't need the Spotify window taking space in my taskbar upon Windows logon.In version 0.9.x it was possible to achieve this behaviour, so I think this functionality should be retained.An alternative to adding the fourth option would be that once I choose the "Minimized" startup option, it would automatically decide whether it will launch minimized to taskbar or to the tray, based on the value of the "Close button should minimize the Spotify window to the tray" setting - if I remember correctly, this was the way it behaved in version 0.9.x.

Running executable as a service, the front panel doesn't display properly upon the second logon.

I am running a LabView executable as a service. When I logon the first time, I see the front panel correctly. When I logoff, the service still runs properly. If I logon a second time, the frontpanel never fills in. (I see the desktop through the front panel). The service still runs, but when I click on any menu, the computer freezes. Any suggestions? (Other than not logging on twice)

"The service must run without a user interface."
As the article mentions, you could still have a separate front panel that communicates with the service, but the service itself probably doesn't have an accessible front panel.

When I plug in ipod, it connects/disconnects every second, forever..Win-7

My ipod worked fine when I was running XP, but when I changed to Windows 7 (32bit), it started doing this thing where it would disconnect and connect every second, for as long as it's little heart desired.
i tried:
-letting it die
-restarting it
-all possible solutions provided by itunes help
-putting it into disk mode
-reformatting it (it worked on dad's comp: win xp)
other facts:
-it still charges
-still plays music when not connected to computer

Having the same problem with Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Started about a month ago. Gen 1 iPod video that I have updates and connects fine, just not my 4Gen Nano. Sent it in for repair, they sent me back a different one, having the same problem.

How do I turn off the external display screen on my MBP even after I disconnect the second screen?

I connected my MBP to my television via the HDMI port to watch a movie. Whenever I have a second display connected I have different wallpapers for each screen. After the movie was over I disconnected the cable and started surfing the web, and I always have safari full screen so I have to three finger swipe to go back to my desktop. After disconnecting the hdmi cable, the external display screen became part of the three finger swipe in full screen mode. I can swipe to go from safari to second display screen (not connected to anything) and then to my desktop.
My question is how do I get rid of the dog-gone external display screen? I am getting tired of having to swipe more than once from full screen to my desktop.

Disregard this question, I figured it out. I just had to go in a delete the other desktops that showed up, how they got there in the first place, I'm not sure but I will visit the apple store to ask some questions.

IPhone connect and disconnect every second when I plugged into my laptop

My iphone 4s connect and disconnect every single second everytime when I plug it into my new laptop, Lenovo Y510P. I have tried 3 USB ports but none of them worked. I even disabled 2 Enhanced Host Controller (USB) and still it didn't work. When I disabled USB3.0 eXtensible host controller, the three ports didn't function at all. Can anyone help me please It charged up and successfully synced on my desktop but not this new lappy zzz

Execute SQL Task, OLE DB, Stored Procedure, Returns unexpected value upon second run

when debugging SSIS, the "Execute SQL Task" runs a stored procedure and returns the expected value. When running the package a second time, the task returns an unexpected value. When running in VS2012 SQL editor, everything operates as expected.
Please help me debug how to get the stored proc to return the same value every time the SSIS Package is run. thanks!

Blue Yeti / Garage Band / MBP-retina / No audio upon second take.

Hi:
I have a 2012 MacBook Pro retina display (Build 12A269) running OSX 10.8. In "Garage Band" I can record a track using the Blue Yeti with success. Upon play-back of that track I hear no audio. If I then unplug the Blue Yeti from the laptops USB I get the option to "Use Built-in Audio". I select that option. If I then play the track (third attempt) it will successfuly play.
I've done a test with another microphone, the Apogee MiC. With this mic connected (USB - same port) I have no issues. I can record and play-back that track with success.
Can anyone help me get my Blue yeti working?

Sure thing, I can help.   The problem is that Garageband sees the Blue yeti as an source to output audio when the mic is connected. Here is the fix.
1.     Open Garageband.
2.     Connect the Blue Yeti.
3.     Click your pointer on "Garageband" that is next to the small apple logo at the upper-left on the screen.
4.     A dropdown will appear. Click your pointer on "Preferences"...
5.     ...then "Audio/Midi"...
6.     ...then "Audio Output".
7.     Selct the "Built-in Output" option.

Second logon screen

We have been having this issue. On some workstations, the Zen appears not to be working correctly. When users login, they receive a secon login window (Windows Workstation) asking them to type user name and password. At that time only local user name with password works. We use Zen 6.5 with Windows XP Pro. Any suggestions?
P.S. When a user goes to a diffrent computer, he sees no such window at all.....

I assume that you use DLU. My guess is that computer is not properly
imported at eDir, and DLU is restricted to use only registered
workstations. Or zen-agent is somehow broken.

T410s Problem when disconnecting from second monitor

I don't know if this is a Windows 7 problem or something I've set up wrong. I've been searching the web for about an hour now and haven't found the answer. My apologies if it's either very basic knowledge or something that's been answered before.
I have a docking station and two monitors at work. If I have a window open on the right (secondary) monitor and disconnnect my laptop to go to a meeting and I haven't dragged that window back to the left (primary) monitor, when I open the lid at the meeting, I can't raise that window.
This often happens to me with Firefox, whether I had quit Firefox or still had it running, so I thought it was a Firefox problem, but yesterday it happened to another application. I found that other people are having that problem, too.
Is there a way to prevent this? If not, what do you do when you open your laptop and find that the application is starting in a monitor that isn't there?

Welcome to the forum!
A workaround would be to use the Alt+Tab to bring the application in front of the others and then use the Windows+Up Arrow to maximize the window, or Shift+Windows+Left/Right Arrow to move it to the left or right monitor, depending on the relative previous position of the external monitor.
You can find a list of useful win 7 keyboard shortcuts here. I don't think you're doing something wrong, this behavior is a Windows "feature".

Trixbox SPA400 disconnect PSTN line after 60 seconds

Hi all, I just bought a SPA400 and am trying to connect it to my Trixbox. I followed the HOW TO guide in the voxilla forum, and in no time I was able to make outbound calls via the SPA400. This is my trunk set up

However, almost all of my calls got disconnect 60 seconds into the calls. I captured the packets, and it was the SPA400 that first sent the RTPC Goodbye message to my Trixbox.
Right after I power cycled the SPA400, things worked well for about 5 minutes or so.. then the hang ups. Does anyone seeing this problem? Can you please help me?
I am running the latest Trixbox, and had tried different SPA400 versions ranging from 1.0.0.5 to 1.0.0.12. Thanks!

Second SATA Drive Read Only

Need some help:
I took my SATA Drive out of my Windows Computer (NTFS) 250GB, and put it into the second SATA bay of the G5. It had one jumper on the 3rd setting.
The G5 found it and it can read fine, but it is read only. nothing i do can erase, format, etc. Disk info says owner:no, permissions:only read, can be formatted:no, SMART Status not supported, pretty much locked. It shows up as a 232.9 GB WDC WD2500JD-00FYB0.
Any Suggestions on how to make writable/format? Is it a jumper issue?

"Warning: NTFS formatted drives cannot be used in a Macintosh (except as read-only with Mac OS X 10.,3 as noted above). If you attempt to use a NTFS formatted disk, upon starting up the Mac OS will prompt you to format the drive. Do not format the drive, doing so will erase the contents of the drive. If you have an NTFS formatted disk, you must use another method to transfer the data from the PC to the Macintosh".
Did you have this warning when you started up your G5 after installing the second drive ?
If yes you may have to shut down the computer, disconnect the second NTFS SATA drive, restart and shut down, reconnect and restart to reformat.
Just a suggestion.

My Macbook keeps disconnecting itself from the internet

Recently, I bought a Macbook Pro in September and ever since I got it, the connection with the internet have been weird. It keeps disconnecting itself from the internet. I know it's not my router or home internet because my Touch and other laptops have a consistent connection. The Airport icon has a full bar. I can reconnect, but I have to go to Network Diagnostics constantly to connect back to the internet, only to be disconnected 10 seconds later.
Out of desperation, I figured I do a clean install of Snow Leopard (why not since my Macbook is new anyways)! The problem is still there, the Macbook is updated to Version 10.6.1. Can someone help please? Is it my network settings? Is anyone else having this problem? Ahhhh

Same problem, however my internet tends only to disconnect upon awakening after an extended period of sleep or after several hours of use. The problem does not occur when I connect to my schools network. I'm not sure whether the problem lies with my airport extreme - it works fine with other computers and registers with a green light even when faulty on my MBP. Also, simply turning the airport on and off does not always work for me - at some stages I have had to reset it - still to no avail. Connecting the base station to my computer by the ethernet connection does however re-establish the wireless connection on occasion. Also, I find after long periods of use my usually full airport connection drops a few bars and the internet slows down. Restarting the computer fixes this! Anyone got any idea where the problem lies??
