bad as compare to e1000 unit.

How hot are you talking about? The router is rated to operate within a range of temperatures, which even though may seem hot to you, is normal for the router.
What other issues are you having with the E1200? Perhaps we can help you out with them

E1200 v2 - issue: all solid lights - help please

Hi there,
This e1200 v2 was working fine for months and it stops working one day.
Issue:
* all 6 lights are solid green as soon as the power cable is inserted
* no patch cable plug in but lights are solid green
* tried the 30 second reset - still solid green on all six lights from start to finish
* tried the 30/30/30 recovery mode - solid green on all six lights from start to finish with no RJ45 cable plug in
* as soon as the power calbe is inserted, all lights are solid green (none of the lights blink)
* ping fails to 192.168.1.1 (no display on web)
* search for its WiFi is empty
any help on this is greatly appreciated,

E1200 speed issue - only when wifi download from internet

Hi,
I have a brand new E1200 router and I'm very disapointed with the speed I get.
The E1200 is connected to a Motorola SB6120 cable modem, connected to comcast.
I'm doing a couple of test using speedtest.net, and a couple of file transfers test between laptops on my network:
1) Laptop ethernet connected directly to the SB6120 modem. Speeds are around 34Mbps Down, 6Mbps Up which is what I expect.
2) Laptop ethernet connected to E1200, E1200 connected to SB6120. Speeds stays around the same (so far so good).
3) Laptop connected to E1200 through wifi. Thats when I get issue: Speed Down <1Mbps, Up is still around 6Mbps.
4) 1 Laptop, connected to E1200 through wifi, another laptop connected through ethernet. Transfer speeds about 48Mbps (thats about what I expect good). E1200 still connected to Modem.
5) 2 laptops connected to E1200 through wifi, transfer speed about 25Mbps (half of the previous test, sound about right too). E1200 still connected to Modem.
So basically:
- Wifi to Wifi : Good
- Wifi to Internal Ethernet: Good
- Internal Ethernet to External Internet: Good
- Wifi to External Internet: BAD
Before I return this router and try another one, what the h** is going on here ? I can understand bad wifi connection, but not in
this manner.
I should mention that I see a lot of extra ARP traffic coming from the modem and Comcast network, but that's a fairly low rate (~10Kbps) and not a problem when I'm doing ethernet to internet speed tests, so I dont think thats the problem.

Try to do the following steps:
A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
3] Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)
4] Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed,
For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the username field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.
Now check the connectivity status.

E1200 setup issues

Hello all. I've searched and searched, but have only been able to find one other person with the issue I'm having, and their resolution did not resolve my issue.
I'm trying to setup a wireless router for a family member whose service is ViaSat (formerly WildBlue) - so it's satellite internet.
Is there a trick to setting up a router for a satellite modem? I wasn't able to find any information and after sitting on hold for thirty plus minutes with their tech support, I hung up.
What the issue is, is this:
The router itself seems to be cycling all on its own. The WPS light flashes slowly ever second for two minutes (this is normal according to what I've read), every ten seconds or so all four port lights flash on router - this is with only the power plugged in.
If I plug the ethernet cable from the modem to the router, then one from the router to the PC and look at the network adapter, it's cycling between "Not plugged in" to "Identifying..." to "Enabled" and then it repeats from the beginning - never establishing any sort of connection. This seems to coincide with the port lights flashing on the router.
I had an old LinkSys wireless G router and it did the exact same thing. I've never come across this before nor am I able to find much information about it.

ISP: ViaSat (WildBlue)
Dynamic IP, nothing static.

Hi,HaboobAZ. Try to configure the device in the same way as you configure it for Cable connection. What makes the router work for Cable connection is usually when the MAC address of the main computer is cloned through the setup page of the router. Before you do the above, do a reset to your device to set it back to the default settings.
To do the proper reset, please press down the reset button for 30 seconds while the device is on. Unplug the device after that.
Reinstall the settings using the steps from the link. Hope that helps.

Hot Issue!

I have a report(10g), there are some columns having arabic data.
it is showing me arabic characters in report builder but when i am calling the same report from application server its giving machine code. even a hard coded arabic text is not displaying WHILE other reports containing arabic characters are running well.
i have checked the nls_lang parameter, fonts path entry in report_path.
how can i resolve this issue?

E1200 bridge issues

I was successful in configuring a new e1200 in bridge mode to extend my network. I did this with the routers side by side. In then moved the e1200 to a new location 150 feet away and it will not work. I previously had this working with an older linksys router. It will not deliver a Internet connection. Any ideas?

Routers are not bothblinsys. Modem goes to router a, port one of link sys goes to port one of router a. Default config except chose bridge mode and set static ip address to 192.168.1.40. Linksys address is 192.168.1.43. SSIDs different. Like I said works perfectly until I move the router to new location 150 feet away.

LinkSys E1200 IPv6 issues

Guys,
I just bought my E1200 LinkSys router, which have IPv6.
Its WAN port is connected directly into my Linux IPv6 router (eth1 have 2804:290:4:fffe::/64), Linux have running Radvd and DHCPv6 (properly I think). The eth0 of my Linux router also have another subnet /64, 2804:290:4:ffff::/64.
If I replace my E1200, for a Linux Desktop, for example, my Linux gets its IP from the DHCP and have stable IPv6 conectivity.
If I reconnect my E1200, it gets its WAN IPv6, which is 2804:290:4:fffe::1451. It can ping ipv6.google.com without problems from the router web interface.
At my DHCP, I've configured the following line:
prefix6 2804:290:4:100:: 2804:290:4:f00:: /56;
...within the "subnet6 2804:290:4:fffe::/64" declaration.
Also, at the Linux router, I routed the subnet 2804:290:4:f00::/56 to 2804:290:4:fffe::1451, since I'm seeing it at "Status -> Local Network".
My LAN and my WiFi clients, connected to my E1200 router, are receiving its IPv6! But, here my problems began.
The IPv6 connectivity from behind the E1200, is very unstable, it simple stops working after a few minutes. I'm using Mac, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 13.04, all of it have the same problem. If disconnect, and reconnect, IPv6 starts to work again and ramdomly stops...
What am I missing?

E1200 - Streaming issues

This is good if you are old and only need to use the basic internet and nothing else. I have tried streaming videos through my ps3 with this router and am extremely let down. It only sometimes reads the PS3, video quality is pix-elated, and my old Netgear G router worked 100 times better. Note the router was within 3 ft of the PS3. Also my girlfriend using her Macbook would get kicked off periodically for no reason, I wouldn't recommend this for use with Apple products either. The only Pros are it looks good, I got higher speeds 19.5mbps compared to 12-15 before, and ease of setting up.

First of all please verify that you have got a 802.11n card in your computer. New generation routers (i.e. E1200) speaks an entirely different language with 802.11g cards, so while those adapters can work with the E1200, but they are not optimized to provide good performance. It is like having to translate from one language to another in real time when going from N to G.
Second, make sure the adapter driver is up to date.
Also, if you are getting dropping connection over the wireless connection, then that can be improved by changing the wireless channel on your linksys E1200. In order to change the wireless channel, follow the steps:
1. Connect to your router's admin interface. Usually 192.168.1.1. The default username is blank,default password is "admin" (without the quotes).
2. Click on the Wireless tab and do the following changes.
For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
3. Click on Save settings.
After the following configuration it will definitely make a lot of difference.

Hot Sync Z22 with Windows 7

Any suggestions on how can get my Z22 to synch with new laptop with Windows 7 64 bit? I have searched and still can't find an answer. Sure can't lose all that info I have. I have downloaded the software from palm 6.2.2 I think... it doesn't work. laptop does not recognize my Z22. It loads the application software on my laptop but I can't transfer any of the info. I was able to transfer all my files and emails, etc., but can't get my Palm info. Help! Thanks

Mac Book Pro First Generation Sleep issue

I have a macbook pro first generation with the 1.8Ghz dual core (I added 1 GB ram for a total of 1.5GB). After updating it to OSX 10.4.8, the computer is having sleep issue. If I try to put it to sleep using the sleep command, it will go to sleep, but then it will make the clicking noises around the dvd player slot area, and within a minute or two the computer will wake itself up.
This happens if I use the power adapter to run it, or if I use the battery to power it. In essence the computer is unable to be put to sleep using the sleep command from the menu. I can close the lid, and the display would turned itself off, but the clicking noises from the dvd slot area is still happening, so I am not sure if is is asleep. The only time that it will go to "deep sleep" mode if I leave it until the energy safe command kicks in and put it to sleep.
I don't have problem getting the computer "awaken" from its sleep state. Though it does have that "blank" blue screen a mere seconds before it reverts to the desktop, which a lot of people have reported in their posting. Is this a software problem? or is it a hardware issues?
The laptop is no longer does have its "super hot" issue. Now it is merely warmish hot but not unlike the "super hot" it was before. Cocoa application such as Adobe CS and Microsoft Office are not as fast or snappish as the native application, the speed is comparable to 1Ghz G4 processor. I suppose it is the pitfall or running an emulator?
Does anyone else also experiencing the sleep issue problem? not able to put the laptop to a sleep mode?

Yep, the trick with the PMU reset (5 second thinggy) could help. Also, try to reset your PRAM...reboot and hold down Apple-Option-P-R until it restarts again. Release the buttons and there you go...PRAM resetted. However, your date/time setting will be set back to a very early date.
For me, I had the same trouble and I found out that it came from the Migration Assistant which I used to move from my TiBookG4 to my new MBPRo. After transferring all data to the MBP, performance was down and sleep was merely impossible. Reformatting it and reinstalling it was my cure (although this might not be a solution for you).
The question here is : did you move an PowerPC apps via copy or migration assistant to your MBP? If not, do you have a virus checker installed that wants to download something in the background?
Also, check for the "wake for administrator on network" option in the Energy Saver control panel...HTH

IW38 - Issue

Dear all
From IW38, we propagate to planning table and dispatch the operations to corresponding work center. When those operations are dispatched, there will be a color change in the line items ( From blue to black ) making the business user to know the status of dispatch. Its a standard transaction and no Z program involved in this.
Navigation : IW38 / IW39 ( From list of orders pick one order ) -- >Go to --->Planning table pick one order from list of order -
>Dispatch automatically -
> At this point the colour of line item changes -
> open order and change status ( User status may not be there in your system )
Issue : During upgradation process ( From 4.7 to ECC6.0 ) , the system was upgraded from 4.7 non unicode to 4.7 unicode as first step. Now the color change is not happening and preventing the business user to understand the status.
Expected the expert comments to resolve this hot issue.

Did you also check F_IT_ALV. This object allows to save the layouts as local objects. Remove activity 70 (Administer) to remove the save option completely.

A: The GPP doesn’t work even though it has been applied successfully with the help of the command Gpupdate /force. In this case, check if you have mixed up the function of F5-F8 keys:
F5: Configure all of these settings
F6: Configure just this setting
F7: Ignore just this setting
F8: Ignore all of these settings

On Account Clearing Vendor/Customer

Dear fellows
We are to be implementing SAP ERP ECC 6 by u201CABACUS Consulting (Implementer)u201D here we enable the new GL functionality for segment reporting. We have a hot issue with on account clearing in both customer and vendor.
The scenario is that
When we clear on account customer through f-32 and vendor through f-44 the system generates extra line items those increase the debit and credit amount with their respective ledgers.
*Example*
Create customer invoice e.g 50,000 Rs. with profit center 10, segment 1000
Receipt on account payment from customer 50,000 Rs. with profit center 10, segment 1000
Clear the account with f.32 at that time clearing line items are generating.
Note:
According to our implementers u201CAbacusu201D this is the standard functionality of SAP and referred the SAP standard Note 69767 to prove their justifications.
The transaction is not relevant with given below difference clearing:
1.     Account Type
2.     open Item Account Number
3.     General Ledger Account

the clearing document increase the DR and Cr amounts.
here, i want to clear one thing, this is not the SAP standard functionality because i have test this scenario on my IDES system and it is not generating any extra line items.
SAP released the notes 69767 to justify the clearing line items and the system exactly work according to the notes, but in our case any of the given options (mentioned in Notes and my above post) be not matched causes to generate any extra line items.
