E1200 router connectivity issue with windows 7 computer from sleep state over night

recently purchased the e1200 and setup was a breeze but I'm  having difficulty with the primary computer (windows 7) connected to it, by wire, haven't used any wireless yet.  When the computer is put to sleep through the night, I have to restart the computer the next morning to get a signal but works fine if put to sleep during the day and awakened the same day to use the connection.  Have a second computer wired directly to the modem with vista that doesn't have this issue.  any thoughts out there. thanks

Try this. Go to Control Panel>Click on Network and Sharing Center or Network and Internet and then Network and Sharing Center>Click on Change Adapter settings>Right Click on Local Area Connection (the adapter being used for the wired connection)>Click on Properties>Click in Configure>Go to the Power Management tab>Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power"

  • I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my MacBook. Constantly dropping internet connection or message "error connecting to the network" comes up. No wireless connectivity issues with windows 7 laptop or iphone.

I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The last few weeks it has been constantly dropping internet connection, and one of these messages appear on the page: "Safari cannot open this page because the server where this page is located isn't responding" or "Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the internet" comes up. I will check Wifi and I am connected. No wifi connectivity issues with iphone or windows 7 laptop, this doesn't happen with either of those devices. I have unplugged and reset router, cleared cache, still happening. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • SSLVPN connectivity issue with Windows 7 x64 All browsers.

I think that I have tried everything to get this working but whatever I seem to do I cannot connect to my SSLVPN using Windows 7 x64. The 32bit version is fine. I have installed the Microsoft C++ Redistributable 2010 and 2005 for both x86 and x64. I have tried clearing the cache in the Browser. I have installed Chrome and Firefox , I even started my laptop using the 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' from Advanced Boot options but nothing is working.
Does anyone have anything else to try. This is a bit of a showstopper for us because not do we have this issue with Windows but we have Mac users as well and that is also an issue.
Cisco really needs to fix this issue fast...
    Please help.

Try using both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Internet Explorer.  Sometimes one of the two will work.

  • Adobe Connect issues with Windows 7

Has anyone found a solution to the problems Adobe Connect has with Windows 7?

Sounds like something is blocking network traffic. I'm not aware of any Windows 7 specific issues. I've used Windows 7 with connect for 2 years with no Windows specific issues.
I'd call support at 800-945-9120 and see if they can indentify the issue and give you a resolution.

  • Lumia 820 connection issue with Windows 7

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me. Up until about 2 weeks ago I could connect my Lumia 820 directly to my PC (running Windows 7) without the windows phone app. Windows would detect the phone as an external drive and it would appear in Windows explorer. Since after the new year (I uploaded music to the phone for NYE successfully), there is a connection issue. Windows sees the phone in 'Devices and Printers' but not in Windows Explorer. I downloaded the windows phone app and this doesn't connect. Windows 7 is fully updated, including the new service pack.
I have attached a screen grab to illustrate my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • HP Photosmart D110 connectivity issue with Windows 8.1

Month back, i have upgraded my Dell inspiron to windows 8.1 and from that time onwards i am facing issues with connectiveity to HP photosmart D110 printer over my wireless network.
I installed the printer driver, once it is installed fine. i can see the printer, take out few prints. Then i shutdown my laptop. Next time i reboot. I launched HP Solution Center and turned on my printer. It showed up problem with with HP solution center saying " HP Solution Center can not run becuase your device installation is not complete" i have to the printer and devices setting on control panel i could see the printer but it is offline. I checked my connections with the printer. also ran the wireless network test. Everything comes fine.
To resolve the problem, i thought may be let me re-install. I finished reinstalling and then it worked fine. But every restart i faced the problem. I add the add the same printer again and again everytime using installation and reinstallation. This sucked. I googled and downloaded HP doctor software. That fixed the problem so far and i had to run the doctor connect the printer everytime.
Now even HP doctor is not working, it list all the multiple installation of the same printer and none of them gets connected. This is getting little crazy for me.
I need some advice,  I appreicate your help in looking into it. If someone has some suggestion to deal with Windows 8.1 and have faced similar problem or can suggest some solution. I will be greatful.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
When using "beta" version of any software (even with NEW full software), users have to accept the risk of some hardware do not proper functioning. Many HP test guys/girls may face this similar problem in their test lab(s), they may be able to find a solution OR push it back to Microsoft to fix the problem, therefore users (you and me) have to wait.
I woul remove/unistall its driver then start from beginning.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • Airport Extreme 802.11n connectivity issues with Windows Vista

I recently purchased the 802.11n airport exterme base station and set it up using my MacBook Pro laptop. During the configuration process I set the security to be WEP enabled since there are other computers on my network, one of which has only an 802.11b wifi card, that can only accept WEP security protocol. The set up worked great and I was surfing on the internet with my Mac in no time.
When I go to connect to the 802.11n extreme base station with my Windows Vista desktop PC, I cannot get any type of connection. I re-entered the Network SSID to match that on the AE base station and re-entered the WEP enabled password.
Is there a compatibility issue between the Airport Extreme Base Station and Windows Vista? I realize that the base station works on XP based PCs but not sure why it could not work on a Vista machine. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   1.83Ghz Intel Core Duo

Upon further review I determined the flaw with my earlier attempts to set up the airport exterme base station with my winodws vista desktop pc. I realized that I should not use a WEP key but rather a WPA key since the wireless adpater connected to my desktop is a wireless G enabled adapter that can handles WPA and WPA2 security.
Therefore, no issues with Vista and the airport extreme base station. Works great.

  • Startup issues with Windows 8 after sleep mode

    Hi,
So i have the power button set to sleep, and when I press it, my U410 Ideapad with Windows 8 goes to sleep, like it should. When I press it again to wake it up, it either: freezes and doesn't allow me to pull up the lockscreen, or does lift the start screen only to let me barely begin to type a password before it freezes. Any ideas?

    Hi bisopia,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the commmunity. Upon reading your post I was just wondering when you put you machine to sleep, how long do you leave it for, before waking it up? If you put it to sleep for 5-10mins, does the freezing still occur?
To be honest I'm not entirely sure what's causing this but what I would suggest is for you to update the Intel Management firmware.

  • BPC 10NW: Connectivity issues with environment copied from IFRS KIT

    Hi BPC Gurus,
We are on SAP BPC 10NW SP04.
We had installed IFRS Kit. We then copied IFRS Kit (without transactions) to another environment (TBSC_DEMO). We have then
modified members of all the dimensions and successfully processed it.
We are trying to log on to Consolidation Model in BPC-Excel to create Transformations etc ... however, we are getting error "the number of bytes available is inconsistant with the HTTP content - lenght header.  There may have been a network error or the client may be sending invalid requests'. However, it gets connected to 'ownership' and 'rate' models without any issues.
Also, if we try to create an Input Form and/or Report from BPC-Admin, and drag any dimension in Row / Column it throws an error - 'unhandled exception has occured'.
NOTE: It was given to understand from one of the SAP consultant that IFRS kit has some 'KNOWN issues' about 'authorizations and/or security features. could you please let us know the resolution at the earliest?
ALSO, If by any chance we are able to conenct to BPC-Excel, it shows only one dimension (ACCOUNT). Please see the attached screen shot for more details.
    Are we missing any settings?
    Please assist.

  • Connection issues with one computer - but not any other computer or iphone

I have a strange problem…. well, really it is my friends/co-workers problem, but I am his sponsor so I feel I need to be there for him.
We are both school teachers - and to help us in the eduction of our students we have created a wireless network (hidden so we don’t get caught!) that we can use in our area of the building. We have had it for several years and we have both hooked up to it regularly using our laptops and our ipod touch/iphone. Just recently my co-workers computer stopped being able to access the internet through the airport. We checked the settings, threw out the settings and re-entered them. Turned off the airport, turned it back on - typed in the network settings, connected - but no internet. We ran disk utility and repaired disk permissions. We have even gone as far as to create a new user…. still no luck. I have shut down and restarted the airport at school, still the issue remains.
He can see the shared disk attached to the airport, he sees my itunes library, I see his - and the rest of the teachers in the school see both of ours (we are music teachers, so our libraries are rather extensive!) and are constantly listening to our shared libraries. We know he is connected to the network, he just cannot access the internet. However, when he plugs in to the network (same settings) via ethernet - there is no problem he gets right into the network.
We both have airports at home - and we both have no problems connecting at home.
There are only two things that have happened since we noticed this problem… 1) is Snow Leopard - we believe the problem started AFTER that upgrade. and 2) we just got a new iMac Lab (I am teaching a new class - Audio Engineering this year) and in the lab I put a legal Airport - but that one IS NOT connected to the school network at all - it just allows all of the iMacs to access the shared hard drive (easier than running cable). This airport (new one - two channel) sits between his office and the old airport (single channel) that we use to access the internet and school network. I don’t think this is the problem as I have turned off the “new” airport and the problem remains.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

  • "Connecting to the network is taking longer than usual" message after I wake my computer from sleep

Connecting wirelessly after waking computer from sleep yields the message "connecting to the network is taking longer than usual".  This only occurs after sleep, it also does not allow it to autoconnect like when starting the computer up.  All
drivers seem to be up to date and happens at more than one wireless location, home and school.  I have a windows 7 opperating system.

I just had the same problem with my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop.
I was able to resolve the problem by uninstalling my Intel Centrino Wireless Network adapter (but I did not delete the driver).  I did this by right-clicking My Computer, Manage, Device Manager, expanded the Network Adapters group, and right-click the
Wireless Network Adapter and click Uninstall.  I recommend that you reboot once this is done.
My laptop now connects to Wifi immediately after waking the laptop from sleep.
This is what finally resolved my problem. Sony Vaio with 64bit Windows 7. Wireless would sometimes take up to 3 minutes after Windows started to connect. After following these instructions, I first removed all wireless networks, then from the System Control
Panel I deleted (along with the driver) the Wireless Adapter. I then installed a fresh driver directly from the maker (not OEM).
I now connect to Wifi immediately after booting or waking from hibernation.
    Thank you

  • WRT54G2 connection issues with a windows 2000 laptop, HELP!!! please?

Ok, at my house I have a newer version of a wireless router (I can't remember which). The old windows 2000 laptop that I have connects perfectly there, but when I installed a WRT54G2 router at my grandma's house it wouldn't connect to the router. My vista laptop and my grandma's vista desktop both are connecting to the router fine (as is evident in my typing this right now), but not the windows 2000.
It is registering that the signal exists, however, it says that it is out of range and it can't connect every time I try. Which makes no sense at all because the laptop in question is sitting no more than 4 ft away from the router.....
It's driving me insane! Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing this problem? Plus I'm not even sure if it's an issue with the computer or if it's an issue with the router itself......
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks,
    illueia
P.S. sorry if I was too rambley...... or I wasn't clear enough....

Download and install the latest driver for your wireless card...
I aaume the security on the WRT54G2 wireless router must be WPA/WPA2 and that's the reason your Laptop(win2000) does not connect to it...
What error do you get when you attempt to connect to the Wireless Network ?
If it connects to your wireless network then what IP Address do you get for your Wireless Connection ?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It sounds like the GPU is failing to wake. Are you up-to-date with your Intel drivers? First check Lenovo's latest, and if that doesn't work, try the Intel drivers using the Intel Update Utility:
