E3000 1 light always on problem?

Hello, i have the E3000 router at home. It is only connected to 2 computers via wired. Everything works fine but the first port that is connected to my main computer is always on when my computer is off? Right now the first port has a green light which is understandable that i am using the internet on this computer. But when i turn off my computer, the light turns to blue and stays on 24/7. There should be no light on when my computer is turned off. I have no problem with the other computer which i dont even use much because its old. So i am trying to figure out why the light is blue when my pc is turned off? The router even gets hot also.

I would make SURE that your system is actually OFF and not in some hybrid sleep or something like that. There is no such thing (that I'm aware of) as a low powered state of a LAN card when the computer is actually OFF. Turning your system OFF should be the same as unplugging it in regards to power going to components in your computer. I personally believe your system is entering some sort of sleep mode be it hybrid or other form. Just my opinion.
EDIT: Wow, mine does the same thing, however, I'm perplexed as to why as well. I mean the power button is what controls power to the computer. Things do change though, and I guess over time, this has as well. I've always thought that the only thing that gets power within the computer if it was off is the little battery that helps your B.I.O.S. hold crucial info about your system. You probably would have to unplug the compuer for the light to go out. I know darn good and well there would be no power going to the card then. :-) Personally I wouldn't worry about the light remaining on, I know I won't. I also wouldn't recommend unplugging your system.

My Airport Express 2nd WAN Port light always on, even when nothing is connected.
Is this normal? The Airport utility also said that I didn't connect anything to the port - when there is a lan cable connected from the main Airport Extreme.
The computer can connect to the WiFi from the Airport Express properly, but with blinking yellow and no internet connection, also it cannot obtain the ip address.
After setting the Airport Express to the Bridge mode, the computer cannot access to the Airport Express anymore, with "Connection Time Out" error.
The Airport Express was 3 days old, and was working properly until today. There is also one blackout today because of the storm.

Hi again. That is a good idea. Check if router can grab an ip from your modem since wireless local connection through the router is working. If it can grab an ip and works fine on wireless, then you might have a problem with the ethernet ports. You might want to try assigning an ip address on the wired connection and see if ip of router is pingable. If really not working at all, possibility that router is not working properly anymore.

Side battery indicator lights always stay on

I had never noticed this before, but half the battery lights on the side of my mid-2010 13" Mac Book Pro stay always on. I have calibrated the battery twice (using Watts), this did not change anything.
The battery charges correctly and holds charge, no problem there. Everything is normal, it's just that four out of eight led lights always stay green.
Any signification to this?

You may wish to enable automatic downloads in your iTunes > preferences > store settings.

WRT54GS port lights always on, internet light always on, only power connected.

My WRT54GS v.2 wireless router has all port lights and internet light always on, even though the power is the only cable connected to it. The router won't detect the internet from my dsl modem. How can i fix this please, why is this happening ?

Did you try to reset the router by pushing and holding the reset button for 30 seconds or more?

Why 4s camera back light always deems On? Is this hardware fault?

My phone have camera back light always ON with deem light since i purchase.... i was told this is not normal and i saw others 4S have no deem light. Is this some SW or HW issue? Anyone can help would be much appreciated.

It is not a broad issue, I have absolutely no problems using Safari and ios7.1 on many ipads.
Verify that you have good DNS entries, that can be a major cause of this type of message.

Verizon Fios is always having problems!

We have had Verizon Fios for about 15 months and it is the absolute worst! As long as we have it, we have had problems with this system. It is always having problems. TV shows do not record; it is always freezing; the system always needs to reboot; often the system can not reboot; customer service is bad; the backup battery needed replacing & started beeping after just 3 months.
For example, tonight I am sitting here at 1:00AM typing this message when I should be watching some of the shows & games I tried to record. I can not watch anything I recorded and the system will not reboot to try to fix whatever the problem is. I am actually getting a message that the Auto-fix features is NOT working.
I am totally frustrated and just give up. This system has just beaten me down and I can't take it anymore. For as much as I am paying, no customers should feel this way. They sent me a new DVR box a few weeks ago and we are still having the same problems. I have asked several times for SOMEONE from Customer Service management to call me back and NO ONE has done it yet.
I am ready to break my 2 yr commitment and want a total refund. I promise to tell all of my friends and neighbors just how HORRIBLE it is and to NEVER switch to it. You know it is a bad system and you know they know it is a bad system anytime they have provide an "Auto-fix MRDVR Issues" option!

Do this.
Go to the Apple Support page and type in your serial number. When the screen comes up showing that Serial number having Applecare extended warranty take a screen shot of it or Print it out to a PDF file and then Print a Hard Copy of either of those things. Take that with you when you take your Mac in to be looked at.
Good Luck with the Lenovo. I hear they are the same quality as when IBM was making them. Personally I have always used Dell Business Class notebooks and have never had any problems with them. Still have one that is going on 11 years old and it still runs as good as the day I bought it, actually a little better because I've upgrade the CPU, GPU. RAM and HDD.

You have Zoom on... double tap with three fingers to turn it off. Go into Settings > General > Accessibility to disable it.

Apple17 inch/power light always on/start up problem

My cat peed on my display. All worked well but now the power/sleep light on the display never goes off. Whenever I try to start up I get open firmware screen and have to type in Mac-boot and all works fine . But when I try to start up, everything blinks then I get the open firmware screen. When I disconnect the display from the tower the computer will turn on but when I plug in the display it will not turn on. Eventually I get everything going. I guess the question is since the display seems damaged will that cause this open firmware problem since the display light is always on? I feel so just wondering what everyone thinks. Did reset pram , no help.

Tried charging the battery last night, but no luck there.
Tried resetting the PMU and initially this worked. The mac started up fine.
Unfortunately it bombed out before I could copy any files across though.
It now doesn't even get to the start-up screen before bombing out.
You hear the chime (usually), but then the screen goes, if it turns on at all.
I've tried PRAM, and holding shift down, but it doesn't seem to get far enough for these to kick in.
I've had problems with the USB ports over the last few months.
I thought this was unrelated, but from what I can read it could be the motherboard playing up, and if so it would account for both of these things happening.
