E3631A IVI class driver can not enable power supply three channel outputs at same time

Hallo,
with E3631A IVI class driver i am trying to enable all the channels at the same time,The problem is that class driver supports only Channel Switching between three Channel,i find in this Forums this Discussion

is it possible to enable all outputs at same time that I modify the source code and recompile the drivers,but it is complicated for me.
Is there a another easy way to solve this problem??

You'll either have to modify yourself, ask the poster in that other thread for it, or use the LabVIEW driver.

I noticed that you claimed to be using the module in 0-20mA mode, yet the reading you are seeing is 3.5mA. This is the minimum value (with overranging) when the module is set to 4-20mA mode. My guess is that your module is defaulting back to 4-20mA mode, but your IAK file still thinks the module is in 0-20mA mode. You can verify this by using the find devices button in FieldPoint Explorer and then trying to write to the channel.
To fix this problem, you should use the snapshot feature to change the default power-up mode for that channel.

I can not establish more then 1 call at the same time

Hi,
I have SPA9000 with four active accounts. I can not establish more then 1 call at the same time. Accounts are all in registered state. The field in SIP tab, Default Group Line:, is by default: 1,2,3,4 which means if line 1 is busy try the next one in the order ( in this case number 2). But this is not happening. It always tries to dial out with the first line (account). There is no problem with the provider and I don't want to specify groups of userID's and to assign them special line for dialing out.( by the way in this way it is possible to establish more parallel calls, but then each user will always have to dial thru specific line only). Please help me to find out if the SPA is faulty or give me some workaround, so that when I try to make a call , if one line is busy to dial out thru the next available.
P.S. I suspect that SPA9000 does not notice when the line is busy or not. Maybe there is some issue with the Control Timer Values (sec) on Regional tab.

I have a Problem, after the installing from Acrobat Testversion and acrobat reader in version in "all Combination" 8 an 9.
I get this misstake information "you can not use multiple instance of Program at the same time" if I want open more then 1 .pdf.
If I have no pdf open, but acrobat/reader so i can´t open with the same Misstake.
I have deinstalled and installed, Allways I bekame the same information. I tryed all things to clean and know i don`t know forward.
Important: by Drag an Drop in the Acrobat Reader it is going, but by direct click on the pdf i get mistake.
Maybe, you know what I can do!

Installation of both Acrobat and Reader in the same Windows machine is not advisable. If I were you, I would remove both completely and then reinstall the one you want to keep.

I have a 1st Gen Time Capsule 1tb. It turns on, boots up and turns green for 5-10 mins, but then turns solid orange and then blinks orange. I have removed the hard drive and replaced the power supply . . . still the same problem. Suggestions?

I purchased a used 1st Gen Time Capsule with a 1 tb hard drive.
When I plugged it in and did the initial setup, it worked fine, but gave me a hard drive error. A few minutes later the green light turned solid orange, then blinking orange, then the status light went off. The lights in back stayed on.
I removed the hard drive and rebooted, it turned green for 5-10 minutes then reverted back to a solid orange, blinking orange, then went off.
Next I purchased a remanufactured internal power supply, and installed it (without the hard drive in). It turned green almost immediately. After about 15-20 minutes, I decided to try to install the hard drive again, booted it up, and tried to erase the hard drive with was working properly according to the software. It stopped erasing the disc after about 20 minutes and turned solid orange again, then blinking, then no status light (but back lights were still lit).
I'm a bit flabbergasted at this point, any suggestions on what to do next? I think i've pretty much replaced everything except the logic board, but can't seem to find any information on the symptoms of a logic board malfunction.

A Gen3 is identical board to a Gen4 although they have some differences in firmware and wireless card was updated on every model.. but a Gen3 is substantially faster than Gen1, Gen2 which also have identical boards.
You can with careful shopping get a Gen3 pretty cheap.
Most use a delta power supply which I think is a lot better than the flextronics used in most Gen1/2
You can sell back the parts to ebay.. people still would buy the power supply etc. Even just the case can be useful to a repairer.
But if the board is gone.. it is hard to repair.. not impossible.. but hard.
Gen 3 and Gen 4 are not without faults.

I have fixed it a different way.. by using the small converters you can buy in bulk from ebay for $1 each.. KIS3R33 .. they produce 3.3V at 2A peaking at 3A.. amazing.. I keep using them to replace onboard power converters by removing the inductor and simply power directly.. the end result has worked great. You can simply change the resistors around and get any output from 1v to 20v depending on input.
Is it worth doing it .. no of course not.. it will waste many more hours than $50 is worth.. but it is kind of fun that you can actually make things work again.
Here is a pic of the Gen 3 totally powered by me. All onboard power removed.
This was to track down the fault in the Gen3.. but I am kind of pleased that it ended up neat enough and reliable enough to work for more than a year.. the Gen3 still serves as a way to get Netflix via network for a friend running 24/7.
The units supply (from left to right)
1v, 1.1v, 3.3v, 5v, 1.8v
It is feed by 12v supply which is also directly connected to the hard disk.
So it is possible to fix.. !! Only got to be a bit crazy.

Can not connect to printer and internet at the same time

I use my airport to connect to the internet via the ethernet port. Internet was working fine until I connected my printer to airport via its USB port. Now the printer works fine but I can't connect to the internet using the same connection.
I can still connect to the same server using its wireless service, but I have to keep hitting the drop down list in the menu bar to select that connection. Can't I just keep connected to the same connection without having to switch back and forth? I thought these mac products were supposed to be all user friendly... I don't have time for this.

The only way to print and use the internet (or university network) at the same time is to do one of the following:
(1) Connect the printer via USB to your computer.
(2) Connect the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) via Ethernet to the university's network and then configure the AEBS to act as a bridge (not sharing a single IP address).
The AEBS can NOT wirelessly join the network.

IVI class driver (layer) will provide interchangeable feature for a IVI class specific driver. It would work as a pass-through layer and finally make calls to the IVI class specific driver. Since there could be a lot of functions to be passed through. Are there any tools from NI (Labwindows/CVI or Labview) can do this ?

Yes, I did. To support interchangability, from my understanding of the IVI specs, there should be another layer IVI-C class driver on top of this IVI class specific driver. As in the IVI‑3.1: Driver Architecture Specification:
Although IVI‑C class drivers export inherent,
base, and extension capabilities, they do not actually implement them. Except
for a few inherent functions and attributes defined exclusively for class
drivers, class driver functions and attributes provide a pass‑through layer to
the IVI‑C specific driver. An IVI‑C specific driver is responsible for
implementing the operations of functions and attributes and for communicating
with the instrument. The IVI‑C specific instrument driver contains the
information for controlling the instrument, including the command strings,
parsing code, and valid ranges of each instrument setting"
So where is this IVI-C class driver and how is it created and communicate with my class specific driver?

More than likely its a hardware issue, I have never encountered such a problem and best bet is to just go get it replaced. If you have insurance on your device apple will replace it as long as there was no water damage, if you dont have insurance they will charge $200 more or less. Hope you get it fixed

Unsupported Ivi Class Driver

We developed a new ivi class driver (for counters) and everything works well, the problem comes when we try to use the ivi tool step type to acces functions such as Reset, selftest Get/Set attributes etc. When we use this functions we get the following error
Error executing substep 'Post'.
An exception occurred calling 'RunStep' in 'ISubstep' of 'TestStand Ivi Step Types 1.0 Type Library'
An error occurred while executing the step.
Component Works IVI Control Error: The IVI operation failed for logical name 'SampleCounter'.
Details: The session handle is invalid or refers to a session that is not from a supported IVI class driver.

The strange thing is that the functions Close and init with options in ivi to
ols work very well..so what's the problem with the functions reset, selftest, etc..
With this functions we can't even access the generic driver code because the error shows up before we can get to the code in debbigging mode. Any ideas?.

I sounds like there's either an error in the configuration for SampleCounter, or that the IviStepTypes only support the DMM, Scope, Switch, FGen, and DCPwr class drivers.
If you could send/post your ivi.ini file and your driver, I'd be happy to check it out and see if there's a configuration issue. If you don't want to post it to DevZone, you can e-mail it directly to [email protected]
As for why the init and close functions work, but not the others, I will investigate further.
One option to get your application to work is to not use the IviStepTypes. You can still use the driver using C function calls directly through the DLL. This will still work, but may not give you all of the features
of the step types.

Since updating to Firefox 3.6.15, I can no longer print coupons from SmartSource. The error message is that Java is not detected. The check box is longer showing in the Options/Content of this version of Firefox, so I can not enable it.

Can not enable fonts for User library in Font Book

Hi all,
For some reason I can not enable the user library in the font book using the options in the font book. This means that the User Library is "off". I have tried the following but none of them have worked:
* Reboot.
* Delete the Font preferance file.
* Undo the font book via booting in safe mode and then rebooting in normal mode. Delete the trash which contains the font cache.
* Manually insert fonts into User>Library>Fonts and restart.
* Manually empty user fonts folder and re-insert fonts back in.
* Delete the user fonts folder and re-create it and insert all fonts back in
Have also tried a few combinations of the above but none of them have worked. I do not want to use the system library fonts folder as this machine is on a network and the users should not have admin rights to their machines.
I have also checked the user rights to the user fonts folder and all seems ok there.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem so that I can enable the User font library?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have found that for me, on both a PowerMac G5 and an Intel iMac, both running 10.4.8 with all updates, turning on FileVault reliably causes the problem. I.E., if FontBook is working fine on an account which does not have FileVault turned on and I turn on FileVault, then the User collection in FontBook is greyed out and Enable "User" doesn't work. If FileVault is on, none of the suggested work-arounds that I have read about in these discussions or in Apple's support articles help.
Sometimes, turning off FileVault is sufficient. Other times, I must turn off FileVault and follow the work-around in http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302551 . Sometimes, I must turn off FileVault, throw away the FontBook preferences and restart.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.
