E430 Dolby Advanced Audio Issue

I updated my E430 with the Lenovo software update app and now get the following message when windows loads. Dolby Advanced Audio---------------------------The current Dolby audio driver version is 7.2.8000.13 and the software application expects driver version 7.2.7000.11. Please install a valid driver and software application combination. Anyone have the same issue?

2) Second time lucky? No. Uninstalled conexant, restarted, driver self-re-installed to put in the old version of conexant. Same issues just without the old start-up error message. 3) Uninstalled again, this time upon reboot windows installed microsoft default sound driver by itself without the conexant bit. Third time lucky? No, this strategy also didn't work. 4) Uninstalled entirely, restarted, while no driver installed the new version (8.54.42.0) suggested by Lenovo with no driver already installed. This time installed new driver with no error message but sound problems as back as ever with ultra-distortion of all sound.  Please, please Lenovo get this sorted asap. I have stuff to get on with and can't be spending 7 days for it to go to a depot in the middle of paper writing for uni semester. I used to have an old X60 laptop which I loved (old but still running now) and was pretty confident getting another lenovo IBM ThinkPad (even talking it up to friends), but this after just a month of having it is not instilling confidence in new Lenovo products for me.  A prompt fix and resolution of these issues would be greatly appreciated.   I wonder if this is actually driver related. It could also be a deffective audiochip.Is the sound also distorted when you use headphones?

    even though it was originally described as an E430 problem, there are reports in the thread that uninstalling Conexant Audio from Control Panel and rebooting fixed the Dolby Audio issue.

  • E430 Fix bad sound quality with Win 7 + Dolby Advanced Audio

    Problem:  In Windows 7 x64, sound quality is tinny and sounds very badly DSPed when Dolby Advanced Audio is activated.  Even setting all effects off and EQ off the sound is bad simply because Dolby is/was turned on.  Going to Sound > Playback > Speakers > Properties > Enhancements, checking Disable All Enhancements and clicking Apply clears up the sound, but then the EQ won't have any effect.
    Solution:  If you have Win 7 x64, uninstall the Win 7 driver (h0a114ww.exe) and instead install the Windows 8 driver (h0ac10ww.exe).  Note that this is NOT the Win 8.1 driver - that won't install under Win 7.  The sound quality will be way better when you use Dobly EQ and effects.  So far I haven't had any stability problems.
    I thought my E430 had the worst sound card ever until I upgraded to Windows 8 and installed the new driver.  I have Windows 7 dual booted and found the sound quality in Win 7 terrible so I played around with it and found the above solution.

  • Acer Aspire V5-531 Dolby Advanced Audio driver issues after updating to Windows 10

    After upgrading to Windows 10 I was getting an error on loading Windows media player which indicated that: The current Dolby audio driver version is 7.2.8000.17 and the softwareapplication expects driver version 7.2.7000.7. Please install a valid driver and application combination  Although Windows 10 has probably updated your driver to the latest version of the driver (you can check this in device manager for yourself) but the Dolby Advanced Audio V2 application which was supplied by Acer (not Dolby) has not been updated to the corresponding latest version. So, you need an updated version of Dolby Advanced Audio V2 (Version 7.2.8000.17) Acer have not published an updated version. Looked all over the site coudn't find it.  My solution was to remove the error was to uninstall the Acer version and replace with the correct version downloaded from the Lenovo site below. http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds028945  I'd wanted to make sure it was the same software, so I tried without uninstalling first and it refused as a version was already installed. So that was reassuring. Thanks for the archived post below pointing me to the softwre on the Lenoveo site at the Lenovo site. I'd looked all over the Acer site for it. http://community.acer.com/t5/2013-Archives/how-i-solved-the-dolby-realtek-audio-problem/td-p/103157  There are warnings on the page above not to use the Lenovo version of the software because of 'tuning', but my audio sounds just as good as before and the error is now gone. Without it the Dolby would have been uninstalled so it seemed a reasonable punt to me. Disappointed in Acer, will buy a Lenovo next time...

    Hi, The only driver that ever worked properly with Dolby was the driver for The V5-552G on windows 8 (not 8.1) This will work on your computer even if different model... the new driver on the Acer site for winodws 10 has not work either. So the one I´m using is: Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6878_W8x64_A To Download the Driver and Software needed Go to: http://www.acer.co.in/ac/en/IN/content/drivers and Go: Ultra-Thin / Aspire / V5-552G To get dolby to work: 1. Uninstall the current driver, and any software related to it (the dolby software) 2. restart 3. Install the driver for windows 8 (in my case it never installs dolby automatically, I´ll explain how to do it manually below) 4. Restart twice (yes, I always had to restart twice after the install otherwise manually installing dolby would not work and I got an error when trying to run the install) 5. In the driver folders you downloaded and unzipped go to the folder "PCEE4" and run "DolbyAdvancedAudio.msi" 6.If you dont get the "Install PCEE" error, restart and you should be able to enjoy dolby (when its not acting up). If you get the error then you may have not followed the instructions properly. Go back to step 1 Good luck

    I updated my HP Pavilion Ultrabook 14-boo3sa to windows 8.1 a couple months ago and since then the dolby advanced audio interface software is missing. The speakers are working and sound fine but I just want the option of the equaliser again. I have looked at the drivers available online and the most upto date driver for audio for this laptop is an IDT audio driver from 2012 for windows 8. Is there a more upto date driver that has the interface software? or is it just a case that the software has been removed on the update due to compatability issues? It sounds like dolby advanced audio is still active there is just no interface available as before I updated to windows 8.1. Please help. Thank you.

    Here's my issue: I have in my posession a HP Pavilion g7 notebook pc. The problem is that allthough the speakers on the laptop says << DOLBY Advanced Audio>> , i don't have the Dolby Advanced Audio software.
    I would like to ask if that is normal , or it is not.
    In the case that this is not normal , i would like to ask for a link to download the Dolby Advanced Audio software for my HP notebook.
    Please note that my notebook currently runs Windows 8.1 .

    "Cannot find .startup file!."
    Can anyone help me with this issue?

    Hello, Foxseiz.
    I see that you're having an issue with the Dolby Advanced Audio.
    I wouldn't doubt the upgrade to windows 8 is causing this issue.
    I would suggest going to your C Drive> SWsetup> Drivers/Audio> Right click setup.exe -- Application (not bit mat)> Select troubleshoot compatibility
    Let it run through the process and then a box will pop up > Select troubleshoot program> then another box will pop up, you will need to select the option that says" The program worked in earlier versions of windows but won't install or run now"> Click next> Choose windows 7> Text the program. 
    Then the installer will pop up just click yes. After that is should begin the installation of the original program. 
    Let me know if any other issues come out during this process.

    I think that the Advanced Audio V2 is the latest version and currently no updates yet.
    on the Dolby website, Advanced Audio V2 is still the software supported.

    Hi,
    Try installing the Realtek Driver and reboot the system.
    Open your C: drive and search for "dolby" in the search bar. It brings up an installer called “dolbyadvancedaudio.msi”. Run the installer and check if the dolby advanced audio application comes back.

    Thank you for your query.
    I understand you have these issues with your notebook.
    1. Your wireless signal is weak.
    2. You have lost your Doiby advanced driver
    3. You have lost some keyboard keys.
    Have you ran the Windows troubleshooter?
    Have you ran the  HP Support Assistant ?
    For the first issue here are two links to assist you.

    For the second issue here is a link to the recommended drivers.
    Pavilion dv6-3043tx  Software  and Drivers
    You could also try restoring the orignal drivers using the recovery manager
    Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7)
    For the lost notebook keys.  Here is a link to the HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Serive Guide.
    Please note chapter 3, page 19 , item 3 for replacement keyboards.
    If you just wish to try and replace the keys alone, you can try an Intenet search for laptop keys.
    My last suggestion would be to try a full recover back to factory.

    There will be an option to backup your personal data to prevent loss.  If you have not already done one, now is a good time.

  • Lenovo G580 Dolby Advanced Audio v2 windows 8 problem!

    Hello!
     One week ago I bought a brand new Lenovo G 580 laptop and everything worked okay until I updated the OS to win 8 PRO 64bit and the audio interface stoped working.
    I have sound - with the windows mixer thing, but when I downloaded the win8 driver for dolby advanced audio v2 from lenovo website the sound doesn't pass through the software anymore.
    Do you have any clue why it's like this? I really hope there is a fix for this because without the dolby processing now the sound is very low and dull.

    Sorry for the double post, but STILL THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THIS? 
    I searched the holly wide web and found that there is a newer version of the conexant smart hd audio driver -
    v 8.64.39.50 which Lenovo doesn't have. Now why is that? It's Dolby's fault or Lenovo's? Why is the feedback so bad? I mean, all I have read here from the oficials @ Lenovo are simple and logic solutions that I tried myself in the 1st place, there is nothing tech savvy in that answers.
    And yes, I know w8 is fairly new but why the heck stil needs tweaking from the manufacturers, in this case for a audio interface?That's something that was supposed to work from day one - the drivers! (It's been so long since Windows 8 was launched, what the hell?)
    L.E. : I FIXED IT! I was not looking for this but i did it! In device manager was a unknown device that requested driver. I uninstalled it. After that, 3 hours later I installed lenovo energy management utility which asked for a restart. After that I realized that Dolby Advanced Audio V2 IS WORKING! 
    L.E. 2 : Update :If what I wrote above does not apply in other cases, I came across another aspect -> In Speakers Advanced Settings I had the sample rate and bith dept set @ 24 Bit, 192000 Hz. If you choose that setting or 24 Bit, 96000 Hz the Advanced Audio V2 will not work anymore. The highest supported by the Dolby interface to work is 24 Bit, 46000 Hz - the one I use now.

    El dolby esta asociado a la versión de tu controlador de audio, al instalar una nueva versión del controlador el problema comienza, tu ordenador no tiene controlador de audio para Windows 10 así que la recomendación es eliminar el dolby (des-instalar) ir a administrador de dispositivos para des-instalar el controlador de audio reinicia el ordenador, posteriormente Windows volver a instalar el controlador de audio pero sin el dolby este controlador debe funcionar, te recomiendo verificar las actualizaciones de Windows por existen descargas de controladores.

    Hi leute,ich habe letzte Woche mein Thinkpad Edge 530 erhalten und nun ein Treiber Update mittels der Lenovo Software Laufen lassen. Nun bekomme ich nach jedem Booten folgende Fehlermeldung:"Derzeit ist Version 7.2.8000.13 des Dolby - Audiotreibers installiert. Die Software benötigt jedoch Version 7.2.7000.11 des Treibers. Installieren Sie eine funktionierende Komination von Treiber und Software."Nun habe ich keine Ahnung wie ich an die Dolby Advanced Audio Treiber komme, ich habe schon das halbe Netz durchsucht. Desweiteren finde ich es wenig Sinnvoll eine älteren Treiber zu installieren. In meinem Thinkpad ist die Conexant 20671 Smart Audio Hd Karte verbaut, falls diese Info zur Problemlösung nützlich sein könnte. In wie fern hängen Dolby Advanced Audio Treiber und die Treiber der Conexant Karte zusammen oder sind diese Völlig unabhängig voneinander? Ich wäre froh wenn ihr mir helfen könntet. Beste Grüße Jonas 

    Da bin ich ja ganz neidisch!Ich bin schon ziemlich enttäuscht und mittlerweile am fluchen, dass man uns so etwas Unfertiges über die Updatefunktion von Lenovo eintrichtert. Habe mittlerweile den besch..... Treiber etliche Male deinstalliert und wieder installiert. Die beknackte Meldung mit der falschen Version kommt immer noch bei jedem Start. Die Boxen funktionieren zwar, aber Dolby Software lässt sich nicht starten.Mein System ist fast neu und nicht gerade billig, da bleibt der Name Lenovo, bei dieser Art von Problemen, nicht gut in Erinnerung.E530; 3259C2G; MP0V6C2; Bios H0ET35WW (1.17) Jemand noch eine Idee?
