E5 not accessing gmail

my e5 is troubling me as it can't access my gmail account. it started about three weeks ago when my one year old e5 stopped syncing with both ovimail and gmail accounts. after some effort i used manual setting suggested in a thread in this forum. it started working partly, i.e. syncing inbox (full) and mails sent from this e5 only but not sent from my desktop. for last two days it stops syncing for gmail completely, while ovimail syncs sometimes at its random will. even manual try to sync fails sometimes. today when i changed my gmail password, it shows me log in failure until i change it for my e5. gmail also shows that IMAP is regularly accessing my gmail account. but it fails to sent or fetch any mail now. i have reset the mail with auto settings but it fails too. email was running fine for more than one year since i purchased this. please help...

Found the problem.. Apparently the rules were screwed up somehow.. Mail was moving my new messages to the sent folder..It's a mystery to how that happened..

iPad 4th Gen,32GB, iOS8.1 suddenly giving error message of incorrect user name or password when trying push emails.  Steps tried so far:
unlocked gmail account via Safari browser
changed from fetch to push and back

    attempted to load gmail account

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Can not access my gmail account from Thunderbird mail client - account marked with padlock

I am moving from an telia.com to a gmail.com mail account using a thunderbird mail client. Has been working fine until last evening. When my client could not access gmail anymore. The problem is displayed with a padlock o n the mail account.

Yes OK padlock has been there before problem occurred - still I have the problem Thunderbird just keeps on working and is not able to access gmail server and I do not see any error indication

  • I can't enter gmail. The error 'The page isn't redirecting properly' shows up. I can access gmail on my phone and with IE, but not firefox.

I've tried to clear the cache and delete the cookies from gmail, but neither has worked. I can access gmail from my phone and through IE but not firefox. I also use the gmail gadget on my igoogle page and it does not work either.

Top of your browser click on Firefox, select Options
Select "Use Custom Setting for History"
Then click show cookies, then remove All Cookies
Close browser and restart, should work nicely
Simple fix (cause of the problem, since you select copy Cookies and History, Favs from Explorer they are clearly not compatible, so that is why you get the error)
Firefox guys need to fix this is serious challenge for new users.

  • After I updated to the new OS I can not access my GMail account????

After I updated to the new OS I can not access my GMail account???? "The user name or password for GMail is incorrect"???

Found this answer on another thread. It solved my problem:
    For those having gMail issues.
Go here on your computer (or phone)
    https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha
    Unlock your account.
They will block checking if you check too often from a variety of IP's. So jumping from Cell, to Wifi, to Cell, to another Wifi, etc a lot they will block remote checking and only allow web checking until unlocked.
Can also happen if you have a computer setup to check at a high interval.

  • Not able to access gmail folder

    Have a new Mac Air.
As part of setup integrated with my gmail account.
gmails now come into Mac email.
    However :
    i) After some time emails in inbox are automatically transferred to Gmail Folder
ii) Gmail folder is visible but unable to access or see the content. Can just see the number of emails in the folder
    Any ideas ?

Mail.app downloads all of your emails and stores them locally. It does not access them when you click on the folder.
If you have a lot of emails, it may take a good deal of time to initially sync them. I would let Mail.app run in the background for a day or two so that it has time to sync.
If that doesn't work, I would try deleting the Gmail account in settings and re-creating it.

  • "Firefox has stopped working" message shortly after accessing gmail account--Help?

Use firefox to access gmail account. Worked great until tonight--Nov 6th. Firefox autoloaded an update, then within 10 seconds of loading gmail account, I get a message, "firefox has stopped working", followed shortly by "A problem has occurred with firefox. Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available". Nothing happens. If I reattempt to get into email or firefox, I get a "this is embarrassing message" with two options: restore or start new session--neither of which work. Please help.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

  • Safari 4 not rendering GMail correctly

    Hi..
I have a problem with Safari 4 (MacOS 10.4.11) accessing Gmail (user interface 1: ui=1). The LAST message in any thread is padded with pages and pages and pages of blanks - actually a greyed-out area - between the end of the message and the "Back to Inbox", "Archive", "Delete" etc buttons.
The greyed-out area actually extends beyond these buttons, and overwrites them...
Should I reply to a message in the middle of a thread, the messages immediately before and after the message I am editing, appear and disappear at random as I type!
This does not happen with ui=2 (a user-interface I do not like).
I do not use Google Gears, whatever that is.
Changing the User Agent from Safari 4 to Firefox, say, does not help.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers,
    keith

    Hi Keith,
Yes the blanks in Gmail ui=1 (I also dislike the latest version) are still there even though I've overwritten Safari 4 with Safari 3, but they weren't there before I made the mistake of installing Safari 4, so I think that S4 has left some sort of buggy mess on my computer.
I get a really long blue/grey blank space right down the centre of gmail whenever I click 'reply'.
    Matt

  • I cannot access gmail

I can access gmail from IE and Chrome. Not from Mozilla. I tried the cookies thing and the safe made thing and still get this.
    The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

    Hi Justin,
I guess then that you have read and tried all suggestions in
    * [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]]
Can you please confirm you also cleared cookies. I have have a gmail account and can still access it. I presume gmail is the only site you have noticed this error on.
    # Can you get to the google site with any of these links
    #* https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?
#* Or the numeric one for Google 74.125.142.84 then click the +you option
    #* (avoid using your bookmark)
    # After
    ## Setting Firefox to only open with this site and google tabs (Risk reduction, close other tabs & Windows)
    ## Try temporarily disabling all security software,
    ## In Firefox's safe mode
    ## Attempt the step 1 again.
    # Finally if still no luck repeat but this time in Windows Safe mode with networking. (IIRC method changed in Win 8 will check and add info later)

  • Using Microsoft Exchange to access Gmail (Google Apps for Business) contacts, what is the best way to sync the Corporate Directory?

Using Microsoft Exchange to access Gmail (Google Apps for Business) contacts, what is the best way to sync the Corporate Directory? For instance, we have 40 staff members and wish to populate each phone with the Gmail profile. Right now we have a third party Android app that does this and copies my contacts to each phone. This is problematic. Any solutions to populate a phone with email and phone contacts? Even it it requires double entry for me...thats ok.

Oh, I meant Leopard does do more than Tiger Server.
I don't know enough about Server, even less abut Syncing.
SL is to new, not enough time to iron out the kinks yet imho.
One day SL will be better than Leo, but...
    I'd ask over in server...
    http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=96
    Or perhaps Collaboration Services...

They may even have a different opinion on SL.

  • I cannot access gmail via Firefox 3.6.22

Because you have upgraded Firefox and seen to it that the new version will not work well with older versions of OS X (mine is 10.4.11) I cannot access my gmail any longer via Firefox. Gmail no longer supports the older Firefox. You are all in cahoots. This kind of planned obsolescence is disgusting. It forces people to continue upgrading and spending. Capitalists! disgusting!

Nope. I have a mac, running OS X 10.4.11, and I can no longer access gmail if I use the Firefox browser. it just spins it wheels. I can however access it no problem with Camino. Sure, not all options are now available to me, but I frankly dont care. I just want to access my mail. No go with Firefox.

  • Safari not accessing login pages

Safari right now will not access any login page, citing "because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server". I had a harddrive fail recently and had installed a new one (120 GB replacing an 80 GB) and thus had to reinstall OS Tiger onto the new harddrive. At the same time, I upgraded my RAM by adding another 512 MB chip. I went through all the updates and everything seemed to be fine until I noticed Safari couldn't access any login page (gmail, netscape, apple ID, etc.). Before the failure, everything was working perfectly. Then the next time software updater ran, every time it tried to install something it would hang up before it finished. I have emptied the caches, the history, set cookies to always accept, reset safari, and removed the plist. Nothing has worked thus far and I am avoiding reinstalling Tiger.
I am using SBC DSL, and a friend had almost the same setup as me (except he has a G4 PowerPC with the mirrored doors) and he has no problem with it.
I know I can use Firefox and IE, but I hate those browsers and would like to use Safari. I also really would like to download the latest updates.
Other than that, I have not had any problems.
I would appreciate any help, thanks.

did this worked fantastic as a number of other applications have also freed up it had started with safari then software update, text edit, imovie etc i also have x509 certificates that i have put into the trash what are they and should i bin these as well
