E50 as modem - answering incoming data call?
I'm trying to use an E50 as a modem to answer incoming data calls to a properly configured Windows Server 2003 RRAS setup (I know RRAS is set up correctly because I can make incoming calls via a landline modem).
The phone answers the incoming data call, and bleeps for a couple of minutes, then drops the call. There's nothing in the event log saying that anything got from the modem driver into the RRAS system.
Where do I start looking?
You have incoming data activated from your mobile operator?

E90 Missing (fax) modem and data calls
Hi all
I read in a couple of other threads that there is no (fax) modem in the E90. Is this why I cannot get datacalls to work? I can quite happily get data calls to work on a 9110, 9110i, 9300i, but not on an E90, all with the same sim and details.
This seems a little strange, because there is a section for setting up datacalls to enter all the deatils for the call. I asked a question earlier if anyone has got data calls to work, but got no responses.
Thanks
A.
Nokias: 2110, 8110, 9000, 9110, 9110i, 9300i, 770, 9110i again (9300i broke), E90I just called Best data and they said the problem is that the software does not work with osx 10.4.9, they do not have any updated scripts for it and do not know if they ever will.. duhh.....
now I know.. I have to get another modem -
Modem doesn't disconnect during incoming phone call
IMac 10.2.8 800 MHz Power PC G4
modem doesn't disconnect during incoming phone calls.
In System Preferences-Network, I have checked the boxes, "Notify me of incoming calls when connected to the internet ," Play alert sound when receiving a call," and "Remind me 1 second before disconnecting me."
thanks for any help
jeffJeffrey, Welcome to the discussion area!
I believe that there are 2 issues here. One is how the iMac handles incoming calls. The other is that your telephone service has to send a signal when there is an incoming call.
In traditional phone service, if you are using the phone and someone tries to call you, their call is blocked at the switch (at the telephone company) and they hear a busy signal.
To do what you want, you must ensure that your phone company has the proper configuration to send your iMac the signal that there is another phone call. -
I can't put call on hold to answer incomming call, always hangs up on first call
I can't put call on hold to answer incomming call, always hangs up on first call
The procedure is different, depending on whether your carrier uses CDMA or GSM. Consult the manual. gdgmacguy gives directions on how to find it in the post above.
Best of luck. -
UNABLE TO SEE/ANSWER INCOMING CALLS. Instead, when there is an incoming call, there is a "call status" button in lower left hand corner of screen...if i try to select the "call status" button, it does not do anything. Is this a reception issue? Very strange.....please help!!!!
Post relates to: Treo Pro T850 (Sprint)yeah, that's pretty strange. i suggest to try soft reset first and then if it's still showing the same behavior. do a hard reset. that should help. however if it's still acting strange, you call the palm tech support hotline. 1-877-426-3777. they will help you with your sprint treo pro.

Is there a way to put an incoming 2nd call on hold without answering it while I finish my first call
Years ago I had a feature on a phone that when I was on one call and another call beeped in, I could just hit a button and it would put the second call on hold with a message that I was just finishing another call and to please hold. Then, when I finished with the first call, I just switch or hang up.
I am constantly losing calls because I can't get off the first one quick enough to answer the second call.
Maybe there is an app for that?Guys, guys... (sigh)
Now, let's be constructive, shall we...?
Malcolm, I see you live in a country even colder than mine, so maybe you're speaking from experience!
No, seriously, wjosten put it plainly: save from jailbreaking my phone, there doesn't seem to be a solution to my "problem". I'm not quite ready to jailbreak my phone yet, but I'm getting closer every day. I love that phone, but there are so many built-in limitations that I'm on the brink of doing it.
Now, this said, it would make for a nice improvement in future versions of the iPhone: let the user set one of the physical controls to take calls.
(As for buying those gloves you guys mention, I like my wool gloves just fine. Plus they're a gift from a loved one) -
Since updating to iOS 7.2.1 I can't answer incoming calls
Since updating to iOS 7.2.1 I can't answer incoming calls
HI, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to do so. Have you tried a hard reset? Press the sleep button and Home buttons simultaneously, until you see the Apple logo after about 12 seconds. Then let go, and let your phone reboot. You won't lose any information at all. That solves a number of hardware issues.

A friend of mine has an iPhone with a cellular data plan, a Macbook Pro, and a mini-iPad. She's been using Facetime, but says that all of the devices used to ring at the time of an incoming Facetime call. Now only her iPhone rings. How do you set whichever device you want to ring?
James: I agree. Please keep them shorter.
The answers to both questions are no.
The iPad is NOT a computer replacement. It is a mobile device.
The iPad can not stream tro the iPhone nor an iPod.
Hope this helps.... -
XSD validation for incoming data into BPEL process
Please suggest how to validate XSD incoming data into BPEL process.
I just wanted to verify the data before entering into BPELHi,
I guess i am replying very late.
In BPEL 2.0 we have an activity called "Validate" which can do the XSD validations.
"Lets Learn Oracle SOA: Validate XML schema In BPEL"

Block incoming anonymous calls
Hi,
I'm trying to block incoming blocked/unknown/anonymous callers over a sip trunk? I've creaed a translation rule and applied it:
voice translation-rule 5000
rule 1 reject /^$/
voice translation-profile CallBlock5000
translate calling 5000
dial-peer voice xxxx voip
call-block translation-profile incoming CallBlock5000
call-block disconnect-cause incoming invalid-number
To try it out, I'm dialing (from a normal/off network cell and landline) *67 and then the number. This does not work; only if I match the exact number I'm calling from, then it does get blocked.
When I show sip calls during the *67 call I see the calling number is blank.
Calling Number :
When I show sip calls during the regular call, I see the proper Calling Number.
As I understand it, with Call Manager and phones running SCCP, I cannot enable/use anonymous call blocking; so I do have to enforce the call blocking policy at this gateway device (UC520).
I'm very new to Cisco voice, so sorry I'f I'm missing something obvious. Thanks in advance!Thanks, I tried the rule--still private gets through.

How do I stop VCA emails for every incoming phone call
I don't want all these emails cluttering up my inbox. I get an email every time I get an incoming call. Short of uninstalling Call Assistant entirely, how can I stop the email notifications of every single incoming phone call? I have made sure my settings do NOT request email notifications or alerts but it doesn't affect my getting these emails for every phone call that comes in. See example below. I added the header information manually.

Verizon disabled the "Glitch" and now my VCA and TV Caller ID does not work. I was told the email notification that is entered in the VCA configuration is not the same as the VZ_ID. They stopped the Emails, now I have to bug them to fix what they broke. Don't want to be bothered right now. It is a pain to have something work and then someone breaks it.

How to Maintain Cube without Aggregating the incoming data
Hi All,
I have a process which loads a cube and then aggregates the incoming data. The PL/SQL procedure is as below.
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE load_actual AS
xml_clob clob;
xml_str varchar2(4000);
isAW number;
begin
DBMS_LOB.CREATETEMPORARY(xml_clob,TRUE);
dbms_lob.open(xml_clob, DBMS_LOB.LOB_READWRITE);
dbms_lob.writeappend(xml_clob, 183, ' <BuildDatabase Id="Action4" AWName="FIN_AW.FINAW" BuildType="EXECUTE" RunSolve="true" CleanMeasures="false" CleanAttrs="false" CleanDim="false" TrackStatus="true" MaxJobQueues="0">');
dbms_lob.writeappend(xml_clob, 42, ' <BuildList XMLIDref="ORG_ACTUAL.CUBE" />');
dbms_lob.writeappend(xml_clob, 18, ' </BuildDatabase>');
dbms_lob.close(xml_clob);
xml_str := sys.interactionExecute(xml_clob);
dbms_output.put_line(xml_str);
end;
As per my requirement I have to flip sign for some leaf level dimensions after the cube load and then re run the aggregate. If I go with this script I will end up aggregating my data twice.
My question is how do I modify this script so that the records are loaded in the cube but the aggregate does not run.
I tried by changing RunSolve="true" parameter as below but still it is solving the data.
dbms_lob.writeappend(xml_clob, 184, ' <BuildDatabase Id="Action4" AWName="FIN_AW.FINAW" BuildType="EXECUTE" RunSolve="false" CleanMeasures="false" CleanAttrs="false" CleanDim="false" TrackStatus="true" MaxJobQueues="0">');
My cubes are compressed, partitioned and I am using Oracle 10.2.x.
Please provide your suggestions if I missing something here ?
Thanks,
Vishal10g Cubes have a property called 'AutoSolve'. As far as I understand, if this is set to YES, then the aggregation will happen automatically whenever you build the cube. I may be missing something, but the RunSolve property of the BuildDatabase command does not seem to be used.
In AWM the "AutoSolve" property appears to correspond to the check box
"Use Default Aggregation Plan for Aggregation"
in the "General" tab for the cube. In order to uncheck this you also need to uncheck "Use Compression" on the "Implementation Details" tab.
As an example, I created a cube named C1 with the box checked and then exported the XML.
<Cube Name="C1" LongName="AMERICAN::C1" ShortName="AMERICAN::C1" PluralName="AMERICAN::C1" Id="C1.CUBE" Schema="GLOBAL" UseGlobalIndex="false" SparseType="COMPRESSED" DefaultDataType="NUMBER" AutoSolve="YES">
I then created cube C2 with it unchecked.
<Cube Name="C2" LongName="AMERICAN::C2" ShortName="AMERICAN::C2" PluralName="AMERICAN::C2" Id="C2.CUBE" Schema="GLOBAL" UseGlobalIndex="false" SparseType="STANDARD" DefaultDataType="NUMBER" AutoSolve="NO">
The compression check is enforced by AWM. I hand modified the XML for cube C1 to switch AutoSolve to NO and used it to recreate the cube without errors (as a compressed cube). I don't know if there will be any issues downstream. -
I have noticed that while using e50 as modem, no calls can be made or received from the phone. Is there any solution to it?
