E50 batterie and stand-by mode

Hi,
I'm working in a company and since january we have the Nokia E50.
The probleme, for all technicien, the batterie is out after 4 day in stand-by mode and sf they call, it's after 2 or 3 days.
Is it one probleme with the Phone?
Or Is it one bad parameter?

Is there any way to configure the machine so it does not go into standby when I clso the lid?
I use a separate monitor and keyboard when at work and would prefer to close the lid when working so it doesn;t get dirty.

    Hello
Please open Toshiba Power saver tool and go to Setup Action tab. There you will find option called When I close the lid and set it to No action.

If you do not find a solution in the iPod nano (6th generation) - User Guide, suggest that you call AppleCare if still under warranty or take a trip to your local Apple Store or AASP.

  • Can I put my Motorola cable into stand-by mode?

It's a silly question, but I just want to be sure.
While I had the cable modem connetced to my PC, I was able to put it into stand-by mode after I shut-down the computer; now that the modem is connected to the Airport Extreme, I wonder if the router will respond to it after I bring it out of stand-by mode. I had a hard enough time getting the darn router to work in the first place, so I'm a little leery about doing anything that could interrupt service.
It might be worth mentioning that my PC is picking up the signal through a USB antenna. but it might not be, either.
In any case, I would appreciate any help offered; the quicker the better too, for my roomie wants to shut off the modem ASAP because it's bothering her -- it doesn't help that she doesn't have a life.

Until you see the battery capacity is under 20%. Anyway, OS X will tell you when you should charge your MacBook. Don't let it run out of power.

And is the 'battery life' the 1000 cycle charge?
In new computers, batteries should have 80% of capacity after 1000 cycles, so that's what I'm referring with battery life. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1519 OS X will tell you when the battery has to be replaced

  • Changing Default Print Quality for Photosmart Printers in Stand Alone mode

Hello Everyone. I am using a group of Photosmart Printers in Stand Alone mode for events where I shoot and print on site. Although I have quite a few printers with me (6 total at a time), I prefer to have the printers print in "Normal" Print Quality Mode, instead of "Best". Images come out twice as fast, and because I have a disciplined shooting technique, I get "GREAT" results from the "Normal" setting. I and/or my assistant have to go to my "Preferences" to change my Print Quality everytime we prepare to print another batch of photos. Sometimes we have groups that will want 5 copies, and it simply takes FOREVER in Best mode, and really, although with a 5x Loupe I can tell the difference, My customers can't with their naked eye. Sometimes we forget to change the setting due to the pressure of the pace sometimes. OOPS!
I am using the following Photosmart Printers: A516, A512v and the 335.
As I stated, I don't use these with a computer, I drive them straight from CF Cards. I do have all the original software, if I need to use the computer to make some changes. Just tell me how. Manual says nothing about getting the setting to default to normal.
Thank you so very much in advance.
    BLAYZE!

    Hello:
One way of assuring high quality would be to export the photo to the desktop (at highest quality) and then print from there.
In my own case, I find that when I occasionally print a photo from iPhoto, the quality is quite good.

  • After stand-by mode screen turns green or the graphics get messy - Satellite M100-165

When i leave my laptop for more than 20 minutes on stand by mode and i try to activate it again the screen turns green or the graphics get messy.
In order to work i have to reset and turn on again. Does anybody know what can i do about this issue?

    Very strange your description.
Did you try to update the BIOS or the graphic card driver?
If not so please check the available versions on the Toshiba driver page and if these applications are newer so try to upgrade it.

  • How may I put in stand-by mode the monitor of my PC by VI command execution?

SO win98 P200 MMX; I need to put monitor in stand-by mode by VI command and restore the active state after some operation in order to low monitor noise on acquisition instrumentation.

    Hello Stefano,
In theory you should be able to do this. What you will have to do is find out which contains the function to put the monitor into stand-by. I am guessing that would be in the driver for the video card or it could possibly be in the windows system dll.
Once you locate the correct library then you can use the call library function in LV. There is a good link to a walk through here on the dzone, just type 'external code' in to the search.
    I hope this helps,
    Doug

I have a couple problems with my new P6N SLI-FI build.
    1. When I power it down into Hibernation it takes a very long time to do so. about a minute.
    2. When I put it into Stand-By mode the CPU fan remains active...and possibly the PSU fan as well. The DVD drive light stays on and I am able to open the drive by pressing the button.
Is there something in the BIOS that needs configuring?
    Thanks

  • Have Many Calendar Entries in the stand By Mode

    Hi there,
Very glad to have purchase the N70. However despite the fact that I have many entries into the calendar itself.
When I am on the stand by mode, I do see only the next appoitment that I have.
Will it be possible to see more appointments into the Stand By Mode??????
It will permit to see at least a full day/full week of activity?
Do you know how to do it??
    THANKS A LOT.

I think there's a 3rd party application that does something similar to what you want.
As far as I'm aware, it does it all automatically, and there's no way to change it - it will only show you todays notes, and if you've nothing on today, it will show you the next set of dates. I've found it a bit annoying too, but I'm not too bothered.Message Edited by richcowell on 28-Apr-2006

  • Satellite L40 - Sleed and stand-by does not work properly

I have a Satellite L40 notebook and it worked properly until now. I turn it on and after that I put it on the sleep mode (stand-by mode); when I want to use my system, so to get it back to the normal mode (I press the turn on/off button to get out of the sleep mode), the Windows Vista 32-bit restarts - it doesn't get back to the moment that I left it before the sleep mode.
Therefore, Windows Vista 32-bit restarts and the "Windows has been turned off incorrectly" screen appears instead of returning to the system configuration that I left it before the sleep/stand-by mode.
What can I do to fix this problem and make the sleep mode work properly?

    Hi!
In your case I would make a BIOS update. You can search for updates on the Toshiba website
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
You should also look in the power mangment. There you configure what happened when you close the display, press the power button and so far.
I have found a really good thread about this:

  • "Hibernate" or "Stands by" mode hangs when resuming - Tecra M1

    Hello,
My Tecra M1 its blocking when resuming, after hibernate or stand by mode...
I've enough free disk space (plus than 2 GB).
    Any suggestion concerning this matter?
    Many thanks in advance,

    Hi
I really dont believe that this occurs because of free space on the HDD. In my opinion it can be because of some open applications. I use Tecra M1 almost two years and use hibernation mode almost every day. Till now I didnt have any serious problems with it.
Sometimes the wake up takes a longer time but that is all.
Is there the same situation if you close all applications and use both modes with just running operating system?

  • AP log got Connection lost to WLCCP server, changing to Stand-Alone Mod

Our customer has about 200 Autonomous APs(Version=c1200-k9w7-tar.123-2.JA2),WLSM(Maintenance img(1.1(2)),Application img=12.2(15)XR2), Sup720 IOS=s72033-jk9o3sv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin.The static WDS point to WLSM,somme of AP will fail with log"Connection lost to WLCCP server, changing to Stand-Alone Mode".
Any ideas about solutions on this?

You will receive this error message if the AP loses its connectivity with the WDS. This can happen if the radios are flapping, as well as if there are problems with authentication / registration with WDS. If the AP is powered using POE, please ensure that you configure the proper poe support on them. Also check if authentication is happening correctly. Debugs on the AP and the logs on the AAA server will help troubleshoot this issue.
