E50 connected to Parrott CK3100 Car Kit

Having recently bought a E50 i cannot connect the phone to my car kit. I have been advised that if i download the software for the 616 car kit using the version for the e60 phone it will work fine. Unfortunatley the e50 phone will not accept the 5.30 version and the phone says system error when trying to upload. I can get connected and the phone will let me make and recieve calls but no phone book contacts appear which is a big pain.
A great phone but it may be on ebay sooner than i think.
Alex

If you have not already flogged it on eBay, or found an answer, it would seem to be to use the 610 contact sync software and follow the steps at the following link - HERE
It worked for me anyway. The phonebooks are synched. Battery & signal strength do not show but otherwise a quick test seemed to show everything else OK

  • Can't connect to our new car kit

Bought a Blue Ant supertooth 3 car kit. All the other phones in the house work with it except the palm 700p verizon. The only thing I can think of is that the palm doesn't ask for the pass key to be entered. It finds the kit, tries to connect then says unable to add to your trusted list.
Just tried it again for the 20th time, now it asks for the passcode but when I enter it it still says can't add to trusted devices??
    any ideas?

    Hello!
First make sure the car kit is NOT in the trusted list already.  In you bluetooth application on the Treo, go into the bluetooth application and then tap on Setup Devices.  From there, tap on trusted devices button.  If any car kit, including your blue ant, is there, delete them and hit done.  Afterwards, soft reset the deice and try to resetup again.  This time when you perform the setup via the phone, make sure your searching for "Nearby Devices" and not "Trusted Devices" or "Known Devices" and see how that fairs.
If nogo, then hotsync the phone to backup the content and then hard reset the Treo.  Right after the hard reset, try to pair to the bluetooth device again without yet rehotsyncing.
Also make sure you are using the 1.10 software version on the Treo.  Go here for additional info on software version and update if needed.

  • Connecting BB8900 to mercedes car kit

Help, I have a BB 8900 and I am unable to access my contacts using a mercedes bluetooth car kit. My old razor works fine

    You need to set the MB to "receive external data" within the phone function;
then go into the Bluetooth menu on the BB, select the MB entry and there may be an option to "transfer address book" in the menu system (there is on my 8120 so hoping it's the same for you).
if so select the option, it'll start generating the address book before transferring (I get a bluetooth connection lost message during the process but ignore it).
The MB system will start showing the entries received (assuming the transfer works), thinks about it for a while as it sorts the new data.
Go back to the MB system and the phonebook should have your data.
    Now for the kicker;
I can't actually update the MB phonebook with new entries from my BB without having to do the "transfer phone book" routine - which gives me multiple entries on existing contacts (Comand APS on 2009 C class, no convenience phone kit), as there appears to be no way to select new entries on the BB for uploading.
So the MB needs a factory reset - this of course removes everything in the Comand system inc the address books, music files, GPS info such as My Address, stored addresses etc etc (those with Audio 20 won't have this problem, don't know about Audio 50 users),  all the Bluetooth pairings are lost inc your BB so delete the MB entry in your BB, re-pair etc etc.
I don't think I've got it wrong, MB are looking into it to give them their due.
If anybody knows how to solve this let me know!

  • Bluetooth Intermittent Connectivity to Mobil-Ease Car Kit

My iphone 3GS constantly becomes disconnected from my car's Mobil-Ease. Usually it happens when I try to make a call using the voice commands of my Mobil-Ease. After commanding it to dial a specific number, the iphone starts calling the number, but disconnects from the bluetooth, and the person answering is left saying 'hello? hello?'
When this happens, I turn off the iphone's BT or "Forget the Device" and then reconnect, only for callers to sounds all garbled on my end.
Lastly, whenever I try to make a call using the iphone, I often then can't get the iphone to connect to the bluetooth. I can click on "Mobil-Ease" in the devices several times and it just won't connect.
I never had this problem when I had a 3G, only happened when I upgraded to 3GS.

Just to share the way I finally solved the problem - might be helpful to somebody else.
I didn't noticed before that the IOS 8.1.2 update changed automatically the name of my Iphone from the one I've given to it before to just "Phone".
I re-named the Iphone (just gave a new name to it by going to Settings -> General -> About -> Name) and then the car kit managed to find the phone very quickly via Bluetooth.

  • E50 & 616 Car Kit - Messages unavailable

I have an E50 paired with a 616 car kit using the Sim Access Profile and it works well.
All the contacts come over, the 'proper' recorded voice tags work and the signal is much improved by using the external aerial.
    But .....
If I receive a message whilst connected, once I 'return' back to the phone, the Messages menus are nolonger available.
In order to send or receive messages, I must switch the phone off and back on again - then everything is as it should be.
I have the latest firmware in the E50 - any ideas ?

    Hi
I ahve posted before on my extreme frustration with Nokia and the E50. As a replacement for a 6230i (I think) it was nothing but a relentless waste of my time as I tried to get the phone to do the most basic things-like show the phone book through the MMi system (Audi A6)
Eventually I went to local retailer (our business contract supplier also useless) and tried to pair up a W880 add a K810i. Both pair but do not display any info-though the 810i did show the signal strength indicator once.
Imagine my reluctance then when a 6300 did what was asked.
It has not been used in earnest yet but it does seem to work. My dreams of leaving nokia behind forever cruelly shattered. This conspiracy to change standards and leave long term customers in the lurch is wrong and bad business. Maybe when I change my car...

  • Connection lost between Nokia 616 Car Kit and a No...

I recently upgraded from a Nokia 9300 to an E71, but retained my Nokia 616 Car Kit. The Nokia website confirms that the E71 and 616 are compatible. My E71 has been paired with the 616 and configured as User 1 in remote SIM mode. The E71 Bluetooth settings have been set up so that it will connect automatically, without asking authorisation every time.
The E71 connects to the car kit without a problem, when the car is started, but often looses the connection during the trip. The 616 will then display “Connection Lost”, followed by the request “Reconnect to User 1?”. Strangely the black “User 1” phone icon is still displayed in the top right-hand corner of the 616 display. When I push the Navi Wheel it attempts to reconnect, but every time it comes back with the message “User 1 Not Found”, despite the fact that the phone has not been moved and is still less than 1m from the 616 controller. I can only reconnect after the vehicle had been switched off and restarted, i.e. when the 616 reboots.
Why does it frequently loose connection? A number of times I have noticed that it looses connection when I drive through an area with no or a very weak cell phone signal. I don’t think the cell phone signal strength should have an effect on the Bluetooth connection between phone and car kit.
Why won’t it re-connect? I can’t stop and switch off the car every time the connection is lost!
    Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I have bought a car with this equipment and I have the same problem.
    I tried following:
    PAIRING:
    - first from the phone discover Bluetooth accessories - it will find the N616
    - enter the code to the phone
    - N616 ask for the same code as you enter to the phone - enter it
After this, the phone is paired, but not connected.
    CONNECTING:
    - then set up Bluetooth in the phone as visible
    - try connect (as user 1 or user 2) from N616 to the phone - you do not need to specify which phone has N616 to find - it will find your phone if it is visible (one step before)
    - if everything is OK, your phone is connected
    - you can access the menu, reset N616 to factory settings - but you need to make all steps again
This list works for me, any other steps not...

  • Connecting 6822 to TomTom via Nokia car kit

I am trying to connect my handset to my TomTom sat nav and can get the two units to connect via Bluetooth, but not if the handset is in the holster, when the Bluetooth connection does not work.
At a guess, the holster/car kit is not Bluetooth enabled but can anyone confirm this? If so, is my only option to replace the holster?
    Thanks in anticipation.

i have a saab 93 with a nokia car kit fitted.
    i was using a 6230i but have replaced it with a e65.
i bought a brodit holder as the e65 would not fit in the old holder(mbc-15s).the cable attaches and the phone shows as been attached to the car and it even charges, but when i use the phone the sound does not come out via the speaker system as before and i cant use the roof microphone neither.
As soon i re-attach the 6230i the car kit works fully again, including the mic/ speakers.
I am doing something wrong?............any ideas please?
I don't drive so I'm going to ask probably what seems like a stupid question to you ....
Are you using a cable or Bluetooth to connect to the in car kit ?
If you're using Bluetooth then chances are the system you're currently using is incompatible with the E65 at the moment as the E65 wasn't around when the 6230i was created The good news however is that a fix MAY be available if the vendor has updated the firmware to resolve this.
If you're using a cable then I would check to see if there's a new cable for use with the E65. According to Nokia you can use the same cable (CA-53) to connect to both the 6230i and the E65 - but that is for phone to PC. Your cable *MAY* be slightly different.

In November I replaced my vehicle with one which has integrated bluetooth phone within the stereo system (2010 model Landrover). My previous Nokia N95 work perfectly with it and was so much clearer than the previous car kit.
However, since upgrading? to the iphone on Orange (late November) when in the vehicle the connection between phone and car kit is lost way too often and the radio screen says "no network".
I spoke to Landrover who say it's not their problem (probably right as the N95 worked fine).

  • Interface or converter for 1st generation 10GB iPod to car kit ?

Hi, replaced my old but well doing 1st generation 10GB iPod by a new 4GB nano because the old accu is almost all down. Have as well installed a bn iPod car kit instead of my car CD player. My idea was to use the old 10GB iPod in the cars glove box, because the weary battery wouldn´t bother any more since it´s connected to the cars electric supply.
The PROBLEM is: the connecting plug of the car kit fits all new iPod models, but not to the old 1st generation iPod.
Is there a converter or sort of interface available?
Or does anybody know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance for any hint and tip! Would be a pity to use it simply as a storage HD...

Yeah, 1st gen came with Firewire port, you can try to find a firewire adapater which is not easy at all. However, you can plug an audio fm transmitter with the headphone jack of your iPod

  • Nokia E75 to Nokia bluetooth CK-1W car kit

    Hi Folks,
have seen several posts aboutbluetooth connectivity between E75 and non-nokia bluetooth devices. I bought a car with a Nokia CK-1W car kit in it.
Connected beautifully with my wifes Motorola V3 first time no problems.
Bought myself a new Nokia E75 - connects once to the car kit, then wait for a while and at some point - not long after the power save mode the connection is lost. NOte it is not when the power save kicks in but some time afterwards. I have tried to set "Remote SIM on" but cannot seem to find an answer. I have even checked for the latest firmware this evening and I have the latest version.
Can any body help or is it to much to ask for one piece of Nokia Kit to connect to another piece of Nokia kit.

I have same kind of problems between my E75 and MB R-class carkit. First they are connected and few seconds later disconnected. I have lost my nervs...

  • Tomtom car kit bluetooth not working

I cannot get my iPhone 4S to connect to the Tomtom car kit via bluetooth.  The phone searches but does not find the car kit.

I upgraded from the iPhone 4 to the 4S. I got the adapter from TomTom for the iPhone 4. When I insert the 4S, it connects OK and the phone charges. I did the reset of the Bluetooth and the TomTom Car Kit shows up on the iPhone. But when I attempt to pair the car kit using the code 5555 (as stated in the manual), it says the code is incorrect and will not pair.
I've also tried using 0000 as the pairing code, with no success.
So far, TomTom support has been very pleasant but ineffective in providing answers.
Are other people having the same issue? Please respond if so.
Has anyone been able to pair the car kit to an iPhone 4S? If so, PLEASE tell me how you did it?

  • Nokia car kit - aerial connection

I have a professionally fitted Nokia car kit for my E50. I'm changing my phone and thought all I had to do was change the cradle .... not so. The cradle has an external aerial lead that links to the inbuilt roof aerial on the car ( Saab ), but this cable is hardwired into the cradle and runs in behind the dash where I guess it connectes to the cars system. So I'm faced with pulling out the dash just to change a cradle.
Is there any other option here ? Are there inline aerial connectors I could use which would allow me to descretely cut the cable and link it to another cradle suitable for my new handset .
    Andrew

    Thanks for the replies folks.
Some more info that should have included in the original post.
The car is a Saab 95.
    I'm in the UK
The car kit is a Nokia CK-7W.
The new phone will be a Nokia 6500
I'll have a look at the dash and see if its in any way similar to the 93. Maybe access is easier than I think.
But another question I'm afraid. The CK-7W wiring loom connects into the base of the cradle and is the same multi pin plug that would connect directly into the E50 phone. If I get a new cradle for the Nokia 6500, I assume the connection into the base of the cradle is going to be compltetely different ?
