E50 not opening zip files
I have an e50 and a week ago I updated the software of the phone from the Nokia web site. The current version is 06.41.3.0. I am not sure but since then my phone does not open zip files anymore. When opening them from an email attachment it says the object is not supported. When opening them from the phone or mem. card it says unable to open. When trying to start the Zip Manager app. - nothing happens, just throws me back in the office folder.
Does anyone knows what is going on. Is there something wrong with the phone or just I do not know haw to work with it. All the rest supported files I can open /pdf, doc, xls, ppt/
Thanks in advance
Vassil
A .zip file should open in StuffIt Expander when you double-click it; if not, open the StuffIt Expander application in your /Applications/Utilities/ folder and drag the file into the open StuffIt window. If you don't have StuffIt Expander on your computer, you can download it for free.

I have Mac Book Pro running OS X 10.9.2. In either Google or Safari, Adobe will not open zip files saying they are not supported or the file is damaged. Have checked the plugins on Google and enabled Flashplayer and reader. I have managed the website settings on Safari to enable Adobe Reader. Quicktime is up to date.
All suggestions will be gratefully received.
Many thanks in advance.Select a .zip file, select "Get Info" from the Finder menu and change the setting for zip files to always open in "Archive Utility.app":
After you select that default application, make certain that you select "Change All."

Deploying DC: warning in opening zip file
Hi,
I got this warning from Dev studio DC build on 04s SP08:
packDeployArchive:
[srcpacker] Creating source archive
[srcpacker] Adding source archive from xxxxxxxx
[srcpacker] WARNING: Could not open ZIP file C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\.dtc\LocalDevelopment\t\21FBE3BC3185FEB251FDBE23923FAB55\wda-pp\src\java\src.zip.HASH : error in opening zip file
It's pointing to a HASH file not a zip file. The zip file 'src.zip' opens fine if I open it with explorer. I haven't tried if the hash is actually correct for the file or not.
What does this mean then ? Should I care about it ?
JariJari,
I encounter the same problem. Have you got a solution yet?

PostScript request output is askng to save or open .zip file not .ps file
Hello,
I have created a new simple customized report for PostScript testing, but once I run the request and view the output. It asks to save or open .zip file.
Any Idea? Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
I have created a new simple customized report for PostScript testing, but once I run the request and view the output. It asks to save or open .zip file. How did you create the report? Please mention the steps.
Is this a concurrent program? If yes, what if you download the output file from the server and open it on the client machine?
Thanks,

Error in opening zip file after Patch 4 HF6 install
Hello,
Just upgraded to EP 6 SP 2 Patch 4 HF 6 on a Windows 2000/MSSQL instance. In the cluster\server\managers\console_logs the error.log now contains the following;
error during parse of jar file D:\usr\sap\XXXA\j2ee\j2ee_00\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.LoggingConsole\private\lib\com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.LoggingConsolecore.jar
java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file.
I also receive this error message for several other .jar files we've deployed.
Any ideas what steps need to be taken to correct this message?
Regards,
JohnHere is a list of our .zip errors we see. Two of these files are not 0-byte in length, they have been identified by a size at the end of the file.
Also, I am checking on the LoggingConsole. I'll post something when I have an answer.

Maybe the zip file isn't at that location. Maybe it
didn't get completely downloaded. Maybe downloading it
puts permissions on it that don't allow you to open
it. Maybe it's password-protected. Maybe half-a-dozen
things I haven't thought of yet. Did you check any of
those obvious things? Can you open the file yourself
with a zip utility? -
How to download and open zip file
Download cannot be done
Hi ratan45,
Does your device support the file type? There are some zip tools in the Google play store that would be helpful with unzipping.
However if it cannot download please try this:
#[http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/VB/Code/vbMedia/Audio/Lossless_WAV_Compression/Sample_APE_File.asp] click on the sample zip file
# go to about:downloads and click on the file
# Select a app that can open zip files on your device (please find one on Google play if you do not have one)
Do you have an example url where this is not happening? -
Problem opening .zip files
I often have difficulty opening .zip files. I received one today. I know the content is images, it is 683MB, and when I click 'open with' the only opton is Photoshop CS5. However, I then get an error message saying Photoshop cannot open this type of file. I have stuffit expander, but that also results in an error message. I know sometimes archive utility (I think that's the name?) will open a zip file, but not in this case.
Is there a reliable app to that can be used? Any other suggestions?
JBIf you want to relocate the Archive Utility to its usual location it resides at,
Macintosh HD/System/Library/CoreServices
When moving it you will need to authorise the move with your Admin password. After that, running Repair Permissions would be a worthwhile thing as well.
If don't wnat to move it that's OK too, as it works for you, but if you want to be fussy, that's where it lives. -

I have seen problems like this in the past. When you create your war file, try using "jar
cv0f" so that the jar file won't be compressed...

SAP application not registered:error in opening zip file
Regards, -
Everytime it fails. I can't open zip files. Does anyone know why. I have my settings to allow all files when downloading something. When I go to download and it is complete it gives a setup exe. then I click on it and it does nothing.....
Plesae help...Starting to drive me nuts!Hi Booher,
Zip files are cross platform. Doesn't matter if it's an a PC or a Mac. Either can open or create them. But .exe files are Windows only. An .exe is an application compiled for MS DOS or Windows, as are .com files. They won't work at all on a Mac without running them in a Windows environment such as Virtual PC.
The only exception is if the .exe is a self extracting archive created on a PC. That is, a .zip file converted to an .exe so if the person the compressed files are sent to doesn't have a way to open a .zip file, it will run as a program to do the same thing. These, OS X can open and extract as if it were still a .zip file.
You mention that one of the .zip files extracted its contents as a file named setup.exe. This will not work directly in the Mac OS in any way, as it is a Windows application/program. -
I can't open zip files.
I can't open zip files. Archive utility flashes and disappears. Archive utility does not seem to be in the utility folder. Tried repairing permissions and verifying disk.
Archive Utility is a System-level component; it doesn't live in the Utilities folder.
Wher did the .zip files come from? There may be a problem with the files themselves.
You can try using the Unarchiver, but I'd expect AU to handle them OK.
When you say it won't open them, are you sure it hasn't? It doesn't open a window with the contents usually - it simply puts the enclosed contents in the same location as the .zip file. Is there a folder or .dmg that looks like it may be related? -

Anyone else having trouble opening zip files in mail. It does not work on iPhone either - but that was not an issue since very rarely does one want to open a large document.
Any solutions out there ?Zips and other archived/compressed files won't work as expected on an iPad since you can't just preview/view the contents directly from the attachment currently like you can with quicktime-compatible or other common media formats. Basically you would need to be able to save the zip file to the finder and extract it, and view the contents from there. But since the iPad doesn't have anything like a user-accessible Finder, it's tricky to implement.
There may be third-party apps that deal with this eventually (or maybe even something from the upcoming 4.0 software, who knows), but it would probably be easier to just have people send you attachments that aren't zipped up for now. -
I am getting the following error. Can someone help me on how to fix this issue?
Thanks
