E50 receiving-time of sms

I recently changed from another Nokia phone to the E50. Previously, the receiving time of messages shown was always the real time of sending, even when my phone was shut off or standby. Now, on the E50, the time shown is the recent time of turning on the phone. How can I change the option so that I can see when the message has been sent ?Message Edited by jaak on 17-Aug-200709:55 AM

I don´t know if understand well the problem. But could be a different time zone on that phone or the backup battery with problems. The first one, you can change that on Tools - Settings, the second one, the phone must go to a Nokia Service.

Asha 302 shows SMS received time, not sent

Hi, my 302 always shows the time an SMS was received, not sent. This makes it difficult when I have to turn my phone off, as when I then turn it back on, the messages come through as the time the phone was turned back on, not the time the message was actually sent. Is there any way to fix this? The date & time settings are all fine, and my service network is set to auto update, but still doesn't fix the issue.

Text Message with sent/receive time

I had a LG Voyager before the DX. When I got a text message it would show the time when the sender sent the message and the time I received it. So if I turned my phone on at 10 am and somebody sent a text at 8 am it would show sent at 8 received at 10. I noticed the DX doesn't do this. I looked in the marketplace for a app that could probaly do this but could not find one. Does anybody know of one or do I need to do something in the settings.

It looks like "SMS Time Fix" is to address the old issues of Timezone offsets not working properly.
I did find an app called "SMS Timestamper Fix" on the market that is suppose to help address this issue.
Google really needs to store both times in the message database and make them available to the applications.
I also ran across this patch which is suppose to patch the Android OS to store the sent time as opposed to the received time.
You can also follow this as Issue 2989 over at Google.

Receiving Strange (flash) SMS

Hi everyone,
Sorry if it is not the proper subcategory to write this but i have a problem and googling did not help me a lot.
I have been receiving strange (flash) SMS in the following format:
+79191842703
1284458220 1 64.
3953609551353
or
+38057593335
1286453254 1 536
650318958895
the first line is the number that sent the SMS. As found in one forum the first other digits are UNIX Timestamp.
I Hard-Resetted my Nokia N82 but still keep receiving such SMSs from time to time.
Is it a Virus? Do these SMSs keep track of my activity? What should i do?

Oh my, sorry to hear you are receiving these strange messages. Let's get this mystery resolved. You can add these emails blocked by following these steps on your My Verizon account:
1. Sign into My Verizon
2. Under Manage My Account select Manage Family Safeguards & Controls
3. Next to Internet Spam Blocking click on View Details & Edit
4. Enter the email you are trying to block

Receiver Time error in adapter Module in PI 7.31

Hello Team,
I am trying working on adapter module that accomplish Message id, Sender Interface name,Receiver Interface name sent time and receiver time.
I got all values in my file except receiver time .I have failed to get exact receiver time.
sent time shows as 2014 04 24 05:28:57
receiver time as 1969 12 31 19:00:00
when ever message triggers its shows same receiver time(1969 12 31 19:00:00) ,I have placed my adapter module in JMS and File adapters,but i am getting same time in message receiver time .
Please help me how to get exact message receiver time.

For file you can get it as below

For JMS try the below and let me know.

after updating to the new software on my iphone, I suddenly receive and sends sms etc to my daughters mobile phone. How can that be stopped? Has is someting to do with using same appleid?

I had a simmilar requirement once, i also had to display some meaningful message with the busy mode icon, but i guess that comes directly from the WD Framework and is not possible to be changed. Refer the following thread, i raised that time.

Actual Goods receiving time

Hi ,
I want to capture material delivered time to customer. We have thought about POD process but in this case bills can be prepared only after POD confirmation moreover since no. of deliveries are large this option is also not operationaly fit.
I have maintained scheduled time on customer master (goods receiving hours)
Pls suggest where we should captuer the actual receiving time per customer.

I also think the comment that 'moreover no of deliveries is large' is irrelevant. Actually, if you want to capture this data you have to enter it for all deliveries somehow regardless the number.
I'm not sure if my suggestion will work, as system issues error message when try to remove POD after delivery invoiced. I'm not sure if the same happens if you try to enter POD after the delivery is invoiced, as I don't have this setup to check.

Nokia 3120 classic (message received time is wrong...

Hi.. got some problems with my nokia 3120 classic. I bought my fone 2 wks ago and decide to upgrade my fone to new firmware version which is 7.16, after the fone was updated i noticed that whenever i received txt messages, the received time is wrong.. it is i think 8 hrs late.. I'm txting my friends and when they reply, the received time display is wrong. Is this a bug for the new version? It's not synchronizing in my phone clock. Of course my phone clock is ok.. Message sent time is ok but the received time is wrong. Any suggestions? Pls help..

ok.. i've figured out already the problem. it's not on the software update but it is due to the GMT. i noticed that even your dates and time are correct, you must set your correct timezone from what country you were. if the auto update time and date is on, i think it varies on the timezone u set on ur fone so if your timezone is wrong, the message receive time is wrong too. well i already solved this.

My Iphone updated today with new IOS 6.1 and while doing that it has sync my phone number with my wife number in the same cloud that we have hence we receive each others SMS when we message each other. Anyone have idea how can I fix this issue in settings

Pictures are sent via MMS. Make sure you have MMS enabled. Go to settings/messages and make sure MMS is turned on

Can't receive calls or SMS. Please help.

Since I activated my iPhone last night, I haven't been able to receive calls or SMS. I can make outgoing calls and SMS, but when someone else tries to call my iPhone they go straight to voicemail or I never receive the SMS.
I have been using Wi-Fi so that doesn't block signals like EDGE does correct?

Did you port a number over from another mobile provider? If so, it can take up to 24 hours after activation before the port is complete. Usually, when it is complete, you will receive a text message from AT&T notifying you that your phone is now ready to make and receive calls.
You are correct, WiFi use should not prevent incoming calls.

If you can't send and receive SMS
You will need these to send and receive SMS:
An iPhone
A strong cellular network connection through a cellular network provider
A domestic SMS plan from your cellular provider (You might need an international messaging plan to send SMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information)
A roaming SMS plan when you use a cellular provider's network that is different from your billing cellular provider's network (Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.)
To resolve issues sending and receiving SMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Make sure that you have a cellular network signal in the status bar of your iPhone. If there's no signal, learn more about troubleshooting no service.

Remove your SIM card and insert it again.
