E50 Sms Myfolders Transfering to 6220c

i am having a small trouble in nokia content transfer/switch application.
Recently i have updated my handset from E50 to 6220c. I have transfered
all data from E50 to 6220c except messages. My E50 had around about
7000-8000 messages in total with "My Folders" & Inbox having around 3000 messages.
I have tried copying/transfering these messages to 6220c but its not possible.
Things I have tried are-
1.Switch application- does not respond when i do the message transfer.
2.Nokia PC Suite- Does not restore My Folders.
3.Paste option is disabled in PC Suite for some privacy reasons.
4.When i restore the backup taken from E50 by PC suite to 6220c, it does not
restore the my folders and also sometimes the data on my 6220c is lost.
Now Im having the backup + all the messages ie. (.vmg) format files in my pc.
I would be very thankful if any one helps me out in restoring the messages
from my old phone E50 to 6220c. It would be great if all the messages are restored
with all the info. and details. Thanks a ton !
*Also if any one has any applications/softwares of 6220c regarding-
1.Picture SMS
2.Sending Flash SMS
3.Draw Picture SMS & Send
+ Collection of monochromes (72X28 pixel images)
+ Picture SMS viewer
4.File Explorer

new data will be copied without erasing/overwriting the previous one.
So i proceed. After that i noticed only my messages in inbox were transferred.
So i shifted all my messages from my folder and put 'em in Inbox.
Then created Back up and restred.

Where does Phone Editor store sms on pc?
Does anybody know in which file and which directory Phone Editor stores the sms' when transferred from mobilephone to PC?
I need to format my hard disk and I don't want to loose all the sms I saved during last years.

savoPhone connected, Open File Manager (Nokia PHone Browser, scroll to phone folder - messages and you will get "meesages" option in Windows Explorer view (upper control bar), select that and select archive your messages.
Note, that means you will have your SMS's archived in your PC (those are not easily transferred back to any phone), but atleast you have them -
Viewing SMS' transferred onto PC

I've transferred my saved messages onto my PC using the PC Suite Content Copier (backup) button but i am unable to view these messages on my PC!
I have the Nokia 6120 classic phone and i have looked in all of the other discussions that i could find and i couldn't find an answer as to how i can view these messages on my PC.

CheersHi.. if you want to archive your messages you could always try using a program called SMS Export this can downloaded free from www.s60.com or mosh.nokia.com this will allow you to save the sms as .txt files on your memory card or to export them via a bluetooth and data cable connection to your PC.. this app is 100% free

Transfering SMS messages between 2 iIPHONES
okay Gents here is my issue:
I have 2 iphones:
iphone A: is a 3G (OS 3.0.1 has been unlocked and jailbroken. (unable to update OS since it will lock it back up.
iphone B: is a 3GS (OS 4.0) I just bought it and it is factory unlocked so I was able to do the OS upgrade with no problem.
now my issue is this: both iphones are configured with the same laptop. iphone A has SMS messages that I would like to transfer to iphone B. Am I able to do that?
Things that I have tried:
When I received iphone B i tried restoring it with iphone A's settings but only my notes, and pictures transfered.
Thanks for reading my post and I hope someone will be able to help me out with this.SMS are included in your iphone backup & restoring your new phone from your old phone backup "should" restore the SMS to your new phone, however, in your case, the jailbreak on your old phone(parts of which are most likely in its backup) are preventing this data from being properly restored. I don't know of a way to make this work, because the only way of completely removing all traces of your jailbreak is to restore that phone as a "new" device in itunes, thus deleting all of its data.

[SOLVED] SMS Conversation problem after transferring messages

After transferring my SMS messages from my Xperia Z to my new Z3c, received messages are added to the existing conversation, but the replies I send appear in a new conversation! Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?

Update - It turns out that this was due to spaces being present in the mobile number in my contacts after I'd transferred them, I removed the spaces, and it fixed the issue.This was driving me insane, thanks for pointing out the obvious! :-)

Transferring SMS from Nokia 9300i to E7-00

I have a major problem which is preventing me form leaving my Nokia 9300 behind. I depend on SMS a lot and I have my SMS archived on the phone in several folders (I don't keep them in the inbox of course). I was very happy to see that we can restore the "nbu" file directly to E7. However, I was surprised to see that Nokia PC Suite doesn't backup all of the SMS folders. It only backs up the original system folders (inbox, outbox, drafts, sent).
I've tried copying or moving my SMS from the folders I've created for them back into inbox but the system doesn't allow that. I've tried copying them into drafts and it can be done but I lose all the crucial data (when and who).
I need to know if there's a solution to backup those folders and move them to E7.

MoumenIf 9300i works ok with Ovi suite, bit of a work arround and laborious, but if you sync messages with Ovi (after transferring them all to back to inbox) you can then connect E7 and drag and drop them from Ovi suite to the E7 !

Trouble in sending sms from E50
I m using Nokia E50. Some sort of driver or software problem occured due to which i cant send sms. Whenever try to send it automaticaly gets on resend time and then after couple of tries failed. Every other function is working properly. I m receiving sms, receiving calls, making calls, using GPRS also and using softwares. But only cant send sms. Few folders also changed there icons and now looks as a simple folder icon.
What possible caused it and what next i should do?

Go to Solution.back up all your data via pc suite if possible. yes you can try to troubleshoot on your own first.
take out your sim card and put in *#7780# to restore factory settings. you should not lose any data, but all settings will go into default. try that first.
the second option is a reset *#7730# this one will erase all of your data, 'wipe the phone clean' and restore to factory settings. see if any of these options work and if you are able to use your phone as you like/need to.
also check if your firmware is up to date via Nokia software updater. if you don't already have it, you can download it from Nokia site.

Transferring SMS to PC **URGENT**
Hi - i urgently require my SMS to be transferred to my PC. I have no mobile network just sms stored on my old phone and need to transfer these via email or to my PC. I have downloaded the blackberry desktop software however that only allows for music, apps and pictures. Not SMS -please URGENTLY Assist. Thanks
as i know, the only way is use Dekstop Manager to backup, and use magisberry only to read sms from it.

The Nokia E50 does not have a feature wherein we can schedule the sending of a SMS at a particular date or time. This could have been a very important feature in a model which is touted as a Smart Phone for the Business executive cadre. A very low-priced entry-level model of Nokia, the 1600, has this feature wherein u can schedule upto 5 SMSes to be sent at a pre-determined date and time.
If such a low-priced model can have such an important feature, how is it the creators of the E50 SmartPhone missed out on this.
Can anyone suggest if Nokia has a patch which can provide this feature in the E50???No way! Only, if exist, with third part software.

I have a video file i transfered to my iPhone from my laptop using iTunes. The video is in the "videos" tab on my phone. Is there a way to move it to my "camera roll" so i can text (sms/mms) it to my friends?

Thanksyou may need to do a smaller amount of sms transfering at a time.
try transfering 10 at a time and see if that works, then report back.
