E51 Problem: crashes/resets when connecting to Ema...

My new E51 (version 100.34.20) crashes / resets when it tries to connect to my emil box.
I connect to my email box via my home WLAN network.
This morning I was able to reproduce the following:
1. Turn Wlan on
2. leave Wlan search on deactivated
3. Email --> connect
==> Then the mobil resets itself
Rerieving emails works, if I manually connect to wlan (step 2) and then do step 3.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Update: Repairing permissions and reinstalling iTunes from scratch doesn't help.

My N95 8Gb crashes (resets) 75% of the time when connecting to my PC to use PC Suite.
This is now getting to be very annoying.
I have also noticed other things like if you either drag a video file (avi) onto the phone area of PC Suite or into Nokia video Manager, it take a very long time to convert and then tells you that there's not enough room on the phone. I have found this is due to the phone and pc suite using different folders on drive E:. This should have been tested or could it be due to Vodafone moving items within their branded software.
The daftest thing about it is after taking upto 3 hours to convert and you place it in the correct folder (or changed the folder in the setings) on your phone, it'll only play the sound and give no picture. I have converted some of my old movies to DIV-X and this is what happens when you get Nokia software to convert them. I have tried a couple of video converters and think AVS Video Converter seems to work the best (demo leaves a watermark in the movie).
Are these common problems and what is the best way to get around them?

or latest NSeries PC Suite from the nokia support pages. Because Nokia N96 will have better compatibility with NSeries/Nokia OVI Suite. But, there is no need to uninstall Nokia PC Suite (7.0.x.x) from your PC, as many of you may be using this for editing Messages and Contacts which is not part of NSeries PC Suite / Nokia OVI Suite right now Have a great day

IPod Crashes/Resets when connected to iTunes

As soon as I connect my 15g touch-wheel to my G4 the iPod icon comes on the desk top for a few seconds and my computer freezes, the iPod resets and goes into scan disk mode. The scan comes up ok and the iPod re sets and scan disk comes up again,repeating the loop. Can iTunes have a corrupt file causing this? I have re installed, re-set and restored to no avail. Prior to this I was getting iTunes to update but it kept freezing at the new songs/cds added.

So you are caught in a loop?
1. Put iPod into disk mode. Set iTunes to not open when the iPod connects. Quit iTunes. Connect the iPod and reformat it. (Disk Utility or Norton [except Tiger]) If you still don't connect, restart your computer with the startup disk and launch Disk Utility. Then connect the iPod (in Disk mode again.)
2. iTunes can have a corrupt file. Find it and delete it.

This came from another thread, but worked for me. Problem is with newest iTunes 4.62. Unistall iTunes, as well as its helper programs (Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Divice Support, and Apple Software Update). Reboot, and reinstall iTunes. It will reinstall all the other ones and you should be able to connect your nano. Good luck.

Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.

10 3.9 - external drive crashes PB when connected by USB or FireWire

Subject says most of it... "10 3.9 - external drive crashes PB when connected by USB or FireWire"
Details: I have one external drive which, when connected to my PowerBook via either FireWire or USB, causes the computer to lock up with the message: "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button." The same thing happens whether the drive is there on bootup or if it is connected later.
The drive worked fine until yesterday, when I stupidly installed Windows Media Player even though the internal drive was almost full. It took a while, but I discovered that disconnecting this particular external drive made everything work again, though slowly.
Then I freed up 15GB on the internal drive, and everything works normally _unless that drive is attached. Another drive connected the same way works fine.
I have searched around on this message but have yet to find the way out. I did figure out what the first question will probably be, so here's the answer:
The "kernel panic message" each time seems to be the date and time and then "localhost /usr/libexec/panicdump: Error (-1) setting variable - 'aapl,panic-info'"
Where should I start?

Still hoping for some sort of advice here... Have tried many approaches but can only confirm that simply connecting that particular drive (or enclosure?) always gets an immediate shutdown.

IPhone resets when connected to iTunes

I have had an intermittent problem over the last 5 days with my iPhone 3G locking up and going into an endless loop of restarts. Initially the fault developed when disconnected from everything except the 3G network but now is manifesting particularly when connected to iTunes - it will operate fine when on the 3G network or WiLAN but when connected to iTunes it goes back into the loop of restarts - sometimes but not always.
It does the same when connected to any of my MacBook, iMac or Win XP machines, with different cables on each so I know it is not a desktop or cable issue.
I have tried resets of the phone, restoring the phone, restarting computers, etc. The endless loop can be halted by disconnecting the USB cable, but it returns when reconnected. In Win XP I get an "unknown error" message and a dialogue box that says iTunes is unable to connect to the iPhone " " (which is not my phone name).
All suggestions appreciated, before my employer takes back the trial iPhone and gives me back the old Blackberry.

hi! i'm a brand new iPhone 3G user (8/3). i did the initial install & synch on my laptop last week.
when i connected to my laptop last night, it asked if i wanted to update the software. i said no last night but earlier today say yes. it all seemed to go smoothly until this part where it said "verifying iPhone software" in iTunes. i let that run for 30 min or so but it was holding up everything else on my laptop so i finally disconnected the iphone.
the iphone didnt like that very much. i tried resetting with the power button (top) but nothing changed. when the iphone came on, all i saw was an iTunes icon and the connection cord on the screen. seems like apples way of telling me to re-connect so i connected to itunes again and it told me i'd have to restore everything. i clicked the button and again, it all went along smoothly until the "veryifying iPhone software" message again. i've been sitting in a holding pattern there for over 1 hour now.
i realized about 30 min ago that the iphone wasnt on so i turned it on. it stays on for 10 min or so then shuts off - so i turn it on again.
how can i get out of this holding pattern?

WLAN crashes N96 when connecting! With Firmware Ve...

Hi is anyone else having the same problem with the WLAN connection on the V.12 Firmware, I have hard reset phone and I have formatted the 16g drive as suggested elsewhere (after saving all my files!!) and I have updated my Belkin wireless G plus MIMO router firmware aswell! with no security, no MAC address control but still no luck! it finds the router after sitting there refreshing for way to long! lets me go to the web page then it just sits there saying connecting I cant cancel the operation and the hangup button does nothing so I have to turn off the phone and turn it back on again. Everything else is working like a dream now once I performed the reset and format!! Highly Recommended!!! Made a huge difference to the speed the only prob is the WLAN which I hope to get sorted out!! Thanks Guys

I initialy got onto the n-gage web site and started downloading the n-gage software as the format wiped it off! and it got about a third of it done and stopped! telling me about the "no gateway reply" error so that was when I upgraded the belkin router and I cleared any setup connections on the phone and started a fresh connection but have not been able to get any websites to open at all since then as it freezes the phone before I get to see any! Problems opening apps when connected 2 USB port and after

I'm having some problems with my new iphone 3g S... the time I connect my iPhone 2 a USB port it starts charging and sync all my content. The problem is that after the synchronization, when connected and after I disconnect it, I just can’t open any applications I installed! When I try 2 open any apps, the app just blink (the initial screen from the app is shown in half a second) and then it just closes by itself… Am I missing anything here? I find that really weird… I appreciate your help!

Try this: Connect iPhone to your computer. In iTunes on your computer, deselect one of apps to remove it from your phone & sync. This should remove the app from your phone. Now delete the app from iTunes on your computer. Download the app from iTunes on your iPhone & resync. This should put a clean version of the app back on your computer. Hope this helps.

My Macbook Pro 15-inch with retina display crashes sometimes when connected to an external monitor

My almost-new Macbook Pro 15-inch with retina display goes black and shuts down sometimes when connected to my external monitor. (The first time it did this was when connected to a projector.) They have replaced the motherboard but it still happens sometimes. The computer and monitor both come back on after a few seconds.

IPod 5G crashes Computer when connected

Does anybody have this problem. When ever i connect my ipod to my G4 PowerMac running OS 10.3.9 it crashes my computer. The iPod now shows the Folder with the ! mark.

Itunes crashes/hangs when connecting iphone!

Hi, I wasn't sure if this was supposed go into the itunes forums so please excuse...
When I connect my iphone to my itunes it simply 'hangs' It doesn't actually crash with an error, I just can't can't select anything in itunes or scroll or anything. If I then disconnect my iphone, itunes works normal again. If my iphone is connected and I start itunes, itunes won't start. The moment I disconnect my iphone, itunes pops up immediately. I tried connecting my iphone to other pc's and laptops. Some display the same problem and others don't. I've been to apple and to T-mobile (I'm in the netherlands) and they won't give me a new phone because they can't find the problem.
I have to close Itunes via the taskmanager and re-open itunes ranging from 3-25 times before I get lucky and itunes starts, recognizes my iphone and works properly.
At first I thought that it could have been my computer but when I connect my ipod nano, itunes works just fine. I tried formatting my windows xp, different chipset drivers for my motherboard etc, none of them worked. I tried different version of itunes, different iphone firmwares, I restored a couple of times and none of it worked. I recently updated my firmware to 3.0 hoping it would solve the problem but to no avail. I tried different cables (iphone and ipod nano) and this doesn't work either. I tried different usb ports and no luck either.
The problem DEFINITELY lies with the Iphone!
This is bugging the **** out of me and I've been dealing with it for WEEKS, but I can't find the solution.
Help me please because I'm getting desperate and just want to through the phone out the window.

Hi, i upgraded to iTunes 8.2 and now each time i connect my iphone (original, OS 2.2.1)the program suddenly just stops working, i get the following details:

Rating reset when connecting to iTunes

I think the title says it all, I use the highest rating playlist a lot, I also set songs I want to remove to a one star rating while listening to later remove the songs. Now, this doesn't work, everything I've changed is back from where I started when I connect the iPod to iTunes.
Also have other problems with smart playlists not updating but have posted two other posts regarding this here without getting answers.

If you auto-sync, then the ratings should update your library.
If you manually manage the Touch, your ratings will stay local on the Touch and won't transfer to your library (unless you auto-sync and then change to manual mode without deleting the contents from the auto-sync).
So just to be sure, you're looking at the ratings on the Touch and not your library? If the ratings on the Touch really are being blanked out, then you may need to try restoring it (which will erase it). If you still have problems, maybe restore again but set it up as a new iPod (i.e. don't reload your last backup when you restore).

IPOD crashes Vista when connecting?

Tried to phone UK Tech Support, 45mins held on line, gave up!!! I have not been able to upload ANYTHING for ages to my iPOD. I have latest version of iTunes on my Vista PC. Everytime I connect the iPOD to the PC, Vista freezes, and I have to re-start. There is NOTHING wrong with ANY of the USB ports, as EVERYTHING else works fine. My iPOD is a useless piece of junk, and I am taking it back to Micro Anvika Croydon for a full refund!!!

iTunes starts and runs OK. As soon as I connect the iPod, a few seconds later Vista freezes, NO blue screen or error message, everything freezes and I have to re-start Vista? As ALREADY said, Vista and Driver Detective reports ALL USB ports and drivers up to date with NO conflicts found. Even though I can upload songs and apps to the iPod via my router, I feel because the iPod refuses to connect to my PC, it is NOT fit for purpose, and will attempt to get a refund from Micro Anvika or from Apple direct in the UK. I WILL NOT LET THIS GO! I am going to Spain for 2 weeks (tommorow), and I will get back on this problem when back. Thanks for all your help.

My iPhones me is in recovery mode and won't reset when connected to iTunes

I Recently updated my iPhone to iOS 8 but it has now gone into recovery mode it says to connect it to intunes but when I do it tells me to reset so I try that and it tries to update which it then tells me I can't do until I reset so then I start the process again and click on reset which leads into a never ending cycle

It sounds like your phone is in Recovery Mode and you are having difficulty restoring it with iTunes. That can be pretty frustrating, so I would recommend starting with the troubleshooting in the following article:
