I've upgraded to 200 Gb but Photo doesn't sync anything in iCloud, it's completely stuck after synced only 1 Gb of photos.

Agreed!  I'm really frustrated. Waiting for months for this great feature.  I have lots of photos (around 1-2k a year) that I wanted to have cloud access to on my iPhone.  But even sharing to iCloud Photo Library on my Mac Mini doesn't push them to iPhone (mine or my wife's or the iPad or Apple TV).
Anyone know what is up?  I thought that they would be visible without downloading to phone.  I understand the download limits but what actually "shared" was way under that limit.

  • E51 upgrade problem / slow contacts/messages respo...

    Hi there All..
I'm as many the proud and happy owner of a Nokia E51.
At first i found the software very responsive, quick and an great deal faster than my previous owned N95.
after a short while the following start to occur:
When i go form "desktop", active stadby i mean directly to "create message", or to messages through the fastkey it takes at least 20 seconds before i get where i want to be.
    Same goes for contacts.
    I tried the following:
-Hard Reset: *#7???# (dont remeber the code..)
    this worked for a day...
-removed my gmail IMAP cheking account from mailboxes.
    no improvement.
-tried to update the phone to new firmware 200.xxx.xx with Nokia Software Updater. Did not complete! It hung at the last 5 minutes and then told me the connection was broken and i should take out battery, replce and reconnect. and then press "again".
Did not work. So i just rebooted the phone and it seemed all normal, and the new firmware seems to be installed. But after a few days de phone became slower again as i described above. So i wanted to try the frimware installation again.
I thought maybe my windows installation is buggy, so i made a clean install on my personal computer (E8200, 4GB, Vistax64/WinXP32bit dual boot). And i tried again. Same error at the last 5 minutes remaining....
    My questions are these:
    - Slow messages / contacts - ||Is this normal? or else a know problem with a known solution? Does annyone have this experience also?
    - Freaky Firmware update - || Is this normal? or else a know problem with a known solution? Does annyone have this experience also?
forgive me my loosy engelish grammar and spelling.. i'm dutch.

  • C2D MacBook Pro upgrade to 200 GB internal

    Several questions:
    1. Is it possible to upgrade to a 200 GB internal from a 160 GB drive. Could I take my computer to an Apple Store and have them do this
    2. How much practical difference will I see. Most of my work is photoshop and Aperture with referenced images on an external USB 2.0 drive?
I have searched on the site but can not find clear answers.
    Thanks
    Steven

I think what I am asking is an Aperture question...I currently store my images on an external 160 GB Western Digital drive as referenced files. When I have completed the majority of the work on a project that resides on my MacBook Pro/160GB external I can export it as a project to the 160 GB WD, take the 160 GB WD drive to my G5, import the project and now the G5 and my laptop have identical information.
A week or two later, client calls and says "can you..and I will pay you $$$$" so I say ok..and start working on cleaning up and modifying images on my laptop. Now the data on the laptop and the G5 are different and I would like to make sure that they are the same, assuming I am now closing the project again.
I am seeking options to make all of the new stuff gets over to the G5, which is my archival system primarily?
    1. I guess I could relocate the masters to my external 160 GB drive (getting the photoshop images off of my internal and freeing space up) AND also export the revised project consolidating the images to the 160 GB external. I could then go to my G5 computer with the 160 GB external, import the revised project and delete the original one. The revised project would be up to date and I would have no need for the original one to be archived. This would work if I had only 1 or 2 revised projects, but in fact there are about a dozen....and doing all of that exporting and deleting seems like a formula for disaster!!
    2. I think it may be possible to relocate all of the managed pictures to a special folder (call it Spring Clean up)onmy160GB external. I then could generate a new project called "Spring Clean up-2007", put a new album in the "Spring Clean up-2007" project (that way I don't move these pictures to a new project). I could then export "Spring Clean up-2007" Project, consolidating images, to the external 160 GB drive. Take the external, connect to the G5 and import "Spring Clean up-2007" Project. The pictures in the imported "Spring Clean.." project would have the full version and master data attached. At that point, I could just select the pictures in the Spring Clean Up Project and drag them back to the parent project on the G5 and presumably the master file and all the version changes would go back to the parent project. Of course I might have some duplicates but at least all the data would be there.
Back to the laptop, I could remove all the images from the album in the project "Spring Clean up", thus leaving the masters and version data intact in the original projects and then I could use the relocate masters function to put whatever new masters existed in the original project folders
thought and suggestions.. does anyone else work with a laptop and a desktop and how have they solved this problem?
    thanks

  • E51 - Software Updates 200.34.36

    Hi All,
I'm in the process of running software updates on the fleet of E51 mobile phones we use here at work.
I've got to the very last mobile, and although it is running 200.34.36, it is not allowing me to update it to the latest 400. series version as per the other ~10 mobiles i have done.
(I have done all prior  updates including this one through the Nokia Suite v3.4.49.
Anyone else experianced an issue simmilar where the phone won't recognise an update even though there are clearly updates availalable?

  • I-Phone Upgrade - "fee" --- $200.00 ?

    Hello,
    I got my first I-Phone - 3G on 1/9/09. Last night I lost it ----
I have a security code on it, also have a ME account, got home and searched for my phone - it was offline, then I get to ATT and suspended the phone. Tried to search a few hours later - offline, tried again this AM -- offline, then I did the option to clear my personal settings.
Went to my local ATT store to ---- buy a "replacement" phone. The person checked my account, said ---- there is a $200.00 upgrade fee if I upgrade before June ## 2010. I asked --- how about if I do NOT "Upgrade", just get the 8GB 3G (I had a 16GB 3G), he said --- STILL a fee if change before June ## 2010 --- that date is contract related.
ATT said --- APPLE is charging that fee, I called Apple they said -- ATT is charging that based on their contract !! my chain is being pulled, somebody --- is lying ---
And ---- what does my "contract" date mean ??? when I was with Verizon --- I lost a phone back in 2006, I reported it lost, got a NEW phone for half the cost but --- I needed to get a NEW 2 year contract as my contract was long over.....
So ----- does anyone know this issue --- WHY ---- is there an upgrade fee, and IF I decided to get a low end 3G phone --- WHY does that fee still apply, as ---- a 8GB 3G is NOT an upgrade !! it's a "downgrade" compared to what I had (16GB).
I'm just trying to replace a ---- lost phone, and somebody is playing games......
Information is GREATLY --- Appreciated !!
    Bob

AT&T's fully subsidized price for the iPhone is as follows:
    3G - $99 for the 8GB & $149 for the 16GB.
    3GS - $199 for the 16GB & $299 for the 32GB.
This price is for new AT&T subscribers, and for existing subscribers who qualify for AT&T's upgrade or subsidized pricing with a new phone. This price requires signing a two year contract for the subsidy.
AT&T offers a special program exclusively for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G: early upgrade pricing. This gives customers who do not yet qualify for a upgrade—likely because they received a subsidized device within the last year or two—the opportunity to upgrade at a special price that’s still below AT&T’s actual cost.
AT&T's early upgrade price for the iPhone is as follows:
    3G - $299 for the 8GB & $349 for the 16GB.
    3GS - $399 for the 16GB & $499 for the 32GB.
This price requires signing a new two year contract beginning on the new iPhone's activation date.
Apple and AT&T's no-contract/full retail sales price for the iPhone is as follows:
    3G - $499 for the 8GB & $549 for the 16GB.
    3GS - $599 for the 16GB & $699 for the 32GB.
This is Apple's full retail sales price for the iPhone, which doesn't require a two year contract with AT&T. Any discounted price less than this price is AT&T's subsidized price, which requires a two year contract for the subsidy paid by AT&T to Apple on your behalf.
You get the less expensive price only if you are a new AT&T subscriber, or an existing subscriber who has fulfilled their existing contract for AT&T's subsidy provided by AT&T for an existing phone - in this case for the iPhone that you lost. You haven't fulfilled your contract for the subsidy that AT&T paid Apple on your behalf for the iPhone that was lost.
And ---- what does my "contract" date mean ??? when I was with Verizon --- I lost a phone back in 2006, I reported it lost, got a NEW phone for half the cost but --- I needed to get a NEW 2 year contract as my contract was long over.....
Because the contract for your Verizon phone that was lost was long over - you had fulfilled your Verizon contract for the phone that was lost, Verizon sold you a new phone at half the full retail price or at Verizon's fully subsidized price for the phone, which required signing a new two year contract with Verizon for the new phone sold to you at a discount. If the Verizon contract for your phone that was lost was not long over at the time, doubtful that Verizon would have sold you a new phone at 50% off the full retail sales price for the phone if you had not fulfilled the contract for the subsidy paid by Verizon on your behalf for the phone that was lost.

  • K8N Neo2 Platinum - Best CPU upgrade for under £200 please?

    Hi there,
I currently have an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2ghz running on this board. The BIOS is the latest etc. I am now wanting to upgrade the CPU on this. I run everything at normal settings... don't overclock etc.
Not sure what I can go to with it and was wondering if anyone can advise please?
Budget for CPU upgrade is £200... any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gazza.
PS: Not sure if other specs are required but here goes:
    2 X 512MB PC3200 184 pin DDR400 (was thinking of just buying another 2 x 512MB)
2 x 80GB Segate SATA HDD 8MB CACHE (was thinking of buying a Seagate Barracuda 320GB SATA HDD 16MB CACHE)
256MB Radeon X800XT Platimun AGP Graphics Card (keeping this)

Check out this very brief thread of mine:
    http://80.190.215.245/index.php?topic=103825.0
...If your 3500 is a 90nm San Diego core, there's really nothing new for you there.
If it's an earlier core, though, you might have difficulty in supporting all four 512mb DIMMs at 200/400MHz.  The San Diego 3700+ core I just bought to replace my 130 nm A64 4000+ has the same 1mb L2 cache as the A4000+ it replaced, but an improved memory controller which will support 4 double-sided 512mb DIMMs in this motherboard at full speed of 400MHz DDR.  The 3700+ is 90nm, and is simply generally a better core in terms of errata, power consumption, and, if you ever feel the need to experiment, overclocking.  I would imagine you should be able to pick one up at < 200 pounds, your cost (my keyboard doesn't have a "pound" key...)
My last post in the thread mentions what bios version you should run with this cpu.
Also, unlike the Newcastle or Winchester A3500+ cores, the A3700+ San Diego 90nm core supports SSE3 intructions.  Here's an article you might care to read describing some differences between the A3500+ Newcastle and Winchester cores:
    http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.aspx?articleid=613&cid=1
Here's a current link to the 3700+ cpu for sale:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?DEPA=0&type=&Description=A64+3700%2B+Retail&Submit=ENE&N=0&Ntk=all&Go.x=0&Go.y=0
Many thanks for your reply, much appreciated. However a lot of that has just gone right over my head I'm afraid :(
Do I have to strip the PC to find out which processor I have? The invoice I still have for the PC does not state what type it was. This was not a home built PC and was purchased from an online store in the UK.
I have a list from the MSI site of processors that this MB is supposed to take. Am I right in saying that I could install an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Skt939 2.4Ghz 512KB Processor?
Once again many thanks for your help.
    Gazza.

  • Upgrading my old Satellite Pro L300-1A9 (PSLB 9E)

Hi there! i am going to upgrade the cpu, ram, hdd and maybe heatsink. I would be very grateful if someone could help me
Here are the basic specs of the laptop:
Intel Centrino 2 Platform CPU: Intel Dual Core T3200 (2Ghz, 667 Mhz FSB, 1 MB L2).
    Chipset Intel GL40 Express
Integrated GPU: Intel GMA 4500MHD (1341 MB, PCIExpress 16x)
    2+1 GB RAM DDR2 800 Mhz
    HDD 160 GB 5.400 rpm Serial ATA-2.
I'd like to keep the upgrade under 200 EUR but i'm flexible. I am buying from Spain. These are the parts i've looked at
    T9300 6M Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB --> 58 EUR here
4GB DDR2 800MHz sodimm RAM --> 55 EUR here, here or for example here
    MX100 SSD --> 69 EUR 128GB or 99 EUR 256 GB
Cheap heatsink for socket P (478) --> around 10 EUR, i.e. here or here or here
    Now my queries :
    Will all this be compatible?
Do you know any site where i can get cheaper ram? I'd love to get 2x4 GB
Is there any problem about the heatsink upgrade? Do you know if socket 775 heatsinks are compatible with 478? I ask because i like Zalman CNPS 8900 (33 EUR) but in the official documentation only mention 775 socket but i've read it is compatible (i can't find the link but i swear xD) Here is a post explaining the installation of this heatsink.
If you have any advice or info i should read before doing this please tell, thanks for reading, cheers!

You wouldn't need to upgrade the heatsink from a T3200 to a T9300.  The parts you listed should all work.  I have several posts on here about upgrading the L305 and L355's, which are the same series as the L300 and L350's.

  • Plus Upgrade Apple TV and iPod

Will my upgraded songs automatically replace the old 128 versions on my Apple TV and iPod when I sync?
    Thanks

I upgraded over 200 songs. About half of them replaced the originals, including remembering the play counts, ratings and which playlists they were in. The other half ended up being duplicates with no history and I had to remove the originals manually.

  • Logic pro 7 academic version upgrade

I think this question has been asked multiple times in the previous posts so sorry if that is true. I was wondering if I could update my logic pro 7 academic version to logic pro 8? It says on the box that academic versions are not eligible for upgrades so I'm holding off from buying the upgrade to logic pro 8. So do I have to buy the whole complete logic pro 8 package?
    Bye for now

Here is my story... I bought Logic Pro 7 Academic at the beginning of '05 when it was still 500 dls. Later I bough the update to 7.2. for 50 dls. Last week I went to the Apple store and bought the Logic Pro 8 upgrade for 200 dls because the sales rep told me I could upgrade from the academic version. I don't know what to do with the upgrade I bought now that I know I can't use it, plus I already opened the box. With all the money invested in this software Apple should get me a retail copy of LP8 for free! (in my dreams)...

  • Yosemite upgrades with os x server

    Hi everyone!
I recently started working as a System Admin at a School District and I need to upgrade almost 200 MBS's to OS X 10.10 Yosemite from OS X 10.8 and 10.9.
Previously they were not managed by any kind of server or central management. All previous OS upgrades were done manually.
I have now OSX Server (Yosemite) and I wonder if I make these upgrades in an automatic fashion and centrally managed. Can I use any of the services (Software Update, Caching, Profile Manager) on OSX Server for this purpose? In other words is there any other way to tackle these OS updates automatically without touching each device?
I actually created an image and put it on the network with NetBackup. Now it can be seen by the MBA's and they can be cleanly updated. However teachers have their files on laptops and we don't have time for backups. That is why I cannot use Netbackup/Netinstall because it will delete everything on the HD. So I am trying to upgrade their systems without formatting their HDs.
    I would appreciate any ideas.
    Thank you.
    Ferris

Using just Apple's Server.app software the only option would be to use NetRestore to restore a complete new image to each machine. Depending on what applications you have this may or may not save you enough work.
Another different approach would require first installing some software on each Mac.
The first step would be to get Munki up and running and to enrol each Mac in to it, see https://github.com/munki/munki/wiki
The second step would be to make an Apple installer package which will install OS X 10.10.2 on to a Mac, see https://code.google.com/p/munki/wiki/InstallingOSX
The third step would be to tell Munki to push out the OS X installer to each client Mac
This will result in each Mac being automatically upgraded to OS X 10.10.2 without you have to visit it in person. Munki will also be able to ensure your applications are updated beforehand to the latest presumably Yosemite compatible version. This approach would not involve wiping each Mac which NetRestore would.
I build new Macs using DeployStudio and as part of that process automatically set them up to use Munki. At the moment I am not rolling out Yosemite but when I do I plan to use the above approach to upgrade them rather than wiping them and re-imaging them.

  • Academic Version Upgrade

We own a business, and I have a question of legality.
We have an Academic version of MacroMedia Studio MX. We want to know if we are able to use that Academic version to upgrade into the Adobe CS3 Design Premium non-academic version. Again, this would be for commercial use -
Will Adobe even let us activate the upgrade of CS3 DP off of an academic version of Studio MX?

Here is my story... I bought Logic Pro 7 Academic at the beginning of '05 when it was still 500 dls. Later I bough the update to 7.2. for 50 dls. Last week I went to the Apple store and bought the Logic Pro 8 upgrade for 200 dls because the sales rep told me I could upgrade from the academic version. I am trying software update on my E51 from version 200.xx.xx to 220.xx.xx (latest available).
Identification of my phone is visible on PC suite (as in fig 1 of attachement), however the updater reports error that the device is not detected (as in fig 2 of attachement).
Anybody has an idea of the issue? Kindly pass on the remedy if anyone has. Thanks.

I guess there is a problem wit the USB port mapping. Try reinstall the computer, change the USB cable to another one (if you have more than one USB port that is) and try again.
Just on a smaller note, the latest fw for E51 should be 300.34.56.
