E52 any option to enable incompatibel headset?

Hi,
I just bought an E52 because I thought it is the right thing as it is compact and having most of the features I like to get.
(I don't like any big Smart Phones)
But then I stuck into the following issue which would to be a show stopper for me. Please for the following clearly defer between headset and headphones.
I own a high quality headset (Beyerdynamic MMX 100) which offers a great sound and addtional headset function.
When I plug this in, it is not detected as headset only headphone(earphone). When I just choose for headphone I only got distorted sound.
I did a lot of cross checks. First of all this a usual quad-pole headset. Working fine on any other device. Working as well fine as usual headphone i.e. on my iMac. If plug into the E52 the headset comes with it, that works without any issues. Some Non-Nokia headphones works fine as well. Only in case of putting in my MMX 100 I got distortions. As mentioned it works fine on other devices.
So it seems to me Nokia integrates something in their software producing distorted sound in case of putting in incompatible headset.
As my assumption is, it is an software issue, I thought someone has maybe a solution.
I would like to keep the E52 if possilbe, because looks like being currently the perfect phone for me. But I clearly prioritize the sound quality of my favorite headset. In case of no solution offered I guess Amazon will get it back.

this set is not compatible and thats the issue here im afraid when sound is distorted as you mention there is no real solution out there to the best of my knowledge ,bearing in mind this is not a music orientated phone the music player is not up to scratch with the xpress music phones from nokia but in fact does provide a good player,problems like this also occurs when people are using e series devices which need 2.5mm adaqptors for headset and music plays through one side only the best solution in your case if you need music to be a part of your needs is to find a compatible set from nokia to use with this device,this will be limited to an extent as with the nokia music devices such as 5800 for example any standard heaphone will work and like anything else quality is depending on expense ,again to a certain extend and to the users needs and ears everybody has a different voice with there opinion with hearing and quality also there could be a problem with your own headset try using it on some other phone preferably nokia and see if this problem still remains the same

If you're running Java 7, then in System Preferences > Java > Java Control Panel in the Security tab there is a check box to enable Java in your browser. To check for update go to the Update tab.

I can not find any option to enable cookies. My ONLY cooky option is to clear cookies or indvidual cookies.

I run firefox on Ubuntu 10..04 and mostly it works well. Once in a while something disables my cookies and then I can't find any cooky option except to clear history or individual cookies. I have been through references several times in this go around and have checked everything in tools. The option is sometimes just gone.

In Lion OS X the IR Control is no longer in Sistem preferences any ideas where is the option to enable or disable the IR??

Try resetting your PRAM and SMC to see if the IR receiver shows up after doing this.
Do you see the "IR Receiver" in the "USB" section of the "System Information" utility (previously "System Profiler")?

IMac has few display options, any way to enable more?

This is my uncle's iMac () and there are a lack of options for resolution. He's running @ 1920x1200 but the next level down is 1344x840. Is there any way to enable more resolutions between those 2, as it seems like a fairly big drop in resolution settings.

Since the hardware acceleration checkbox was created, a second kind of acceleration was added to Firefox that may need to be disabled in about:config; the checkbox has not been extended to toggle both of them for you.
Regular preference (checkbox): gfx.direct2d.disabled (default=false)<br>
Added preference (no checkbox): gfx.content.azure.enabled (default=true)

I suppose I could delete it, but the whole point of multiple accounts is so I can post to either. One is mine, one is my wife's. If it is not enabled why would I need to log into it to post to my own account. The system has no problem associating existing albums with my account, I is only failing to allow me to choose only my account to create an new one. It is clearly designed to handle multiple accounts, but seems to have a bug directing it to ask for the password for a disabled account instead of allowing selection of and posting to the enabled one.

If you installed a Security Update early this month, about the 2nd or so, and not one since then, run Software Update - if it offers another Security Update, accept and install that one. The original Feb 2012 update had some flaws with regard to MS software in particular; the follow-up update fixed those.

Disable Delete option but enable edit option for a content item?

Hi,
Appreciate your input on this. The portal version being used here is 3.0.9.8.2.
I would like to have the following privileges setup for a content folder's items.
- one group can edit and delete items
- one group can edit but not delete items.
However looking at the access types available at the folder level - there are only "view only" , "edit style", "manage items", "own folder","create with approval".
The "manage" privilege is simply a catch all privilege. User can edit, checkin/out and also delete an item.
How do I prevent a user/group from deleting an item ? (or atleast disable the rendering of the 'X' delete icon?)
I did experiment with the audit option by enabling version control which is somewhat helpful in that I can preserve the older versions, but like above, I cannot enforce that.

but the above code dont have any effect on the list, I have still the Item with DELETE THIS LIST in the listsettings.
do you know maybe why? or can I also debugg it?

How to change actual effort in project plan when Projected Actual option is enable in Project Server 2010

We have enable "Protect User Updates" option from PWA->Task Setting and Display->Only allow task updates via Task and Timesheets, to protect actual efforts in project plan that PM changes manually, however in some cases we need to allow actual
effort changes in open projects so it there any way or workaround so that Administrator or PM can make changes in actual even though "Protect User Updates" option is enable. Please Help!!

Hi Rahul,
Indeed when this option is activated, there is no way to directly update actual work in the project plan.
The workaround is to temporary deactivate this option, more preferly not during office working hours to avoid unexpected project updates.
A better workaround would be to ask the resource to recall, correct and submit again the timesheet, so the PM can approve an updated actual work. Finally the PM can use delegation to rscall and correct the timesheet for the resource.

Edit option not enabled for workflow content from within Content Presenter in Webcenter Spaces

I have a webcenter spaces portal page with a content presenter displaying a html page using the default out of the box template. The html page is located in webcenter content / UCM under a folder on which the " All Reviewer" seeded workflow is enabled. The issue i am seeing is when the file is in workflow the edit option is not being enabled even though the reviewer should be able to edit/approve the content in this step. The other functions like workflow approve or reject and switching between workflow version and published version are all enabled. Also when rejected the content does not show edit option from the content presenter (cntrl-C option) for the original author to make any updates.
What would need to be done to enable editing from within the content presenter for workflow content?

We are using WCP 11.1.1.8.5
To recreate the issue
1) Login to WCC Portal: Spaces as admin user , create a New Page under a webcenter spaces portal
2) Under the space , Pages Section , select the page and click edit
3) In Design mode , choose Content Management and Add Document Explorer and Add Content Presenter on the page
4) The Document Explorer will default to the Current Space/portal directory under MyWebcenterSpaces in UCM
5) Create a directory "content" under the Portal space using the document explorer.
6) Right Click on Content folder and choose details. In Details view , go to File->workflow settings and pick a seeded workflow -> MyWCSAllReviewer. Add a user as workflow approver
7) After workflow is enabled on this folder upload a basic html page with simple text into this folder
8) Now in the design mode choose edit in the content presenter and select the "single content view" with default template to display an Image or HTML. Click browse and select the html that was added to workflow
9) Save the Page and view the portal. Workflow should now be enabled for any content changes to that html page.
10) Click Cntrl-shift-c in portal/space as an authenticated user with edit access to content and make an edit to content , this will trigger worklow . The author currently will see edit option get disabled once content enters workflow
11) Login as approver to the portal and cntrl-shift-C to the portal and workflow options(approve and reject) are enabled but the edit option is not. If you reject content , the author should be able to edit content in the content presenter mode, this also is not available. The issue is the content is now no longer available for editing from wthin content presenter if it is in workflow to either the approver or the original author depending on workflow step. If you check the same content under the document explorer the option to edit is enabled. Is this a bug /issue with content Presenter or some option needs enabled?

I am using a NI VST to generate WiMAX signal. I have installed NI Measurement Suit for Mobile/Fixed WiMAX 1.0 on the compute. But I can't find any option on the front pannel of the generation suit to enable AMC or PUSC for generated signal. Does such feauture exist at all?

Why is there no option to enable custom vibrate

Glad you found it. I believe it is under the Sounds settings, right? And I also believe you can custom set vibrations for each contact just as you can change text tones by editing the contact and selecting text tone or ringtone.

Enterprise CA option not enabled in Windows 2008 R2

I am making new installs of Win2008 R2 for Domain Controller and for separate CA. On the CA-Computer I cannot get "Enterprise CA" option during Install. Greyed out. I have seen the error in c:\windows\certocm log stating "Enumerate_..._no_install_Rights".
I performed "whoami /user /group" and included in the list are Enterprise Admin, Domain Admins, and schema admin. I logged in as domain administrator, to no success; as local CA-computer, to no success; and as created user (ca-admin) making him
member of domain admin, enterprise admin still no success. I saw the thread where WINS was mentioned, and I entered the DC as WINS, still no success. Any other suggestion? This is a new lab forest, with one DC and one other win2008R2 for
CA and one win-7 as client. If I logon the DC and perform add-Role AD-CS on the domain controller, Enterprise CA option is enable, but not from the separated CA-Computer we want to use. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Just a guess but are you installing the CA on a w2k8R2 Standard edition?
Enterprise CA needs to be installed on a w2k8R2 Enterprise edition, also you have to be enterprise admin as changes on the configuration (forest wide) part of AD are done.
Enterprise CAs (vs Standalone) can be installed on any edition of Windows, the difference between editions is the number of ADCS features and components that can be enabled!

I stand corrected.
The only time I had this is when I was not a member of the enterprise admin group (mind this was not a single forest).
If you do try remember to log out of the server and in again before you start the install.
Also just check that you can do nslookup for the domain you have choosen...nslookup <domainname>

Installed LR 3.2, and export does not show any options for exporting to Smugmug, Facebook etc

I fresh installed LR 3.2 on a Windows 7 computer to try out tethering (which worked fine), but then tried to export the photos, but I don't have any options for exporting to non-harddrive based locations. The "export to" drop down at the top of the export page only has "hard drive" in it. The plugin manager says that plugins for SmugMug, Facebook, etc are all enabled.
Anyone have any ideas?

I found too that the publishing services work differently than the plug-ins. Not as intuitive, but work well just the same, For me I had to do the "set-up" for the Facebook publishing service a couple of times. I think this may have more to do with the Facebook security settings than with LR.

Microsoft Project does not open; Even after enabling the project from Options - Addins - enable the Disabled file in the Manage options.

If I understand well, this is a 2013 mpp file that you want to open with Ms Project 2013? Then you get Project hang? Are you using Project Server as well or just the standalone MS Project version?
Can you reproduce this issue with other files or just this file?
Your file might be corrupted, try this
method, export the file as XML and saving it back as mpp.
