E52: Cannot send files via bluetooth

Hi mates, I bought this smartphone 2 days ago and upgraded firware to version 052.003. Today for the first time I've tried to use the bluetooth connection to another phone (nokia 7210) and to the PC. The problem is that my new E52 cannot send files to other devices. I can send files from PC and from 7210 to E52 but not vice versa. In particular it seems that the bluetooth discovery doesn't  work. When I try to add a new paired device the phone does not do anything. It does not say "looking for devices" or something like that (I'm italian, so I don't know what it should say).
Can anybody help me?
Thanks

And yes, it is.
And on the other computer you're trying to send to?
Have you tried deleting the following from ~/Library/Preferences/
com.apple.BluetoothExplorer.plist
com.apple.BluetoothFileExchange.plist
com.apple.BluetoothSetupAssistant.plist
and
com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
from /Library/Preferences/
and then restarting and re-pairing the devices?

  • Cannot send file via bluetooth from galaxy s5 to mac yosemite os x

Recently upgraded to Yosemite from Mavericks and now cannot receive any files via bluetooth
on my Galaxy S5.  I can however receive files on my s5 from Yosemite.
Restarted mac with CMD+OPT+P+R, disconnected USB, waited 3 minutes on shutdown and reset bluetooth settings
    but still no joy.
    Please post any other solutions.
Your comments would be deeply appreciated.
    cheers.

Tripper: Sorry for my delayed response (very sick dad in the hopsital). Also, sorry I answered the *wrong* question. To transfer files:
On each Mac OS X 10.5-based Mac, from the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Sharing.
Check (click) the "On" box next to Bluetooth Sharing.
    Close the Sharing preferences window.
Select the file that you want to transfer.
Select "Send Using Bluetooth" from the Blackberry menu.
You will now receive a pop-up asking you to select a device. Select the paired computer you want to transfer the file to.
The file will start transferring. If you selected "Ask What to Do" in the Bluetooth prefs, you'll get a pop-up on the computer asking you if you want to accept or decline the file transfer.
That's it. Let me know if you still have problems.
    Good luck,

I noticed that my sister has something like "OPEX file transfer" in the services-thingy but for me it says nothing. What's wrong?? Is there something i could do?

  • Cannot send files via bluetooth from phone to PC

    Dear All,
I am having a problem trying to send files from my E71 to a PC.
I can send files from my PC's (both Ubuntu & Windows) no problem but if I try to send a file from my E71 (i have tried both a pdf, picture & video) the phone just says "Sending failed".
I can browse the phone via blueetooth in both Ubuntu and Windows so i know the connectivity is there. Both Ubuntu and Windows have the options set to allow incoming file transfers.
Is this normal behaviour? Has anybody else experienced this problem or seen anything else about this?

    Hi Com,
which Bluetooth stack are you running under Windows?
I know that with the M$ stack, you explicitly need to right-click on the BT icon and choose "Receive a File". I have successfully used this before to get files from my E71.

  • Cannot send photos via bluetooth to Kodak printer machine

Cannot send photos via bluetooth to Kodak printer machine.
My iphone cannot find the machine and I was told that htis is an apple problem

Cannot send photos via bluetooth to Kodak printer machine.
Correct. iPhone doesn't support Bluetooth File Transfer protocol.
Many photo machines let you plug in a camera via USB, so do that instead. The iPhone will appear as a standard digital camera.

  • I can't send files via bluetooth

My problem is that I can receive files via bluetooth, but I can't send files via it. Actually I can see the "receiving file" message on mobile, but as I wanna accept that file, I see a "receiving file" error. I tried this with several other phones, but I still have the same problem. I see this message when I run bluedevil-sendfile from terminal:

  • Laptop G400S Windows 7 cannot transfer file via bluetooth to cellphone

    Dear all,
I just bought the above laptop but found difficuties to transfer the file via bluetooth either to LG or Samsung cellphone.
The laptop can easily paired with two gadgets but when I try to send something it will say:
"Windows was unable to transfer some file. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time or established connection failed because connected host failed to respond".
    Anybody can help please.
    Thanks,

I'm not sure if this will help you or not...
I did some additional testing today and "fixed" my problem.
I grabbed a new (almost fresh install of XP) laptop and installed a Jabra USB BT dongle with the MS BT Stack. Then I installed DM 5.0.1 and plugged the phone into a USB port to get it past the initial configuration.
Unplugged the BB from USB, went into Device Manager, enabled BT and searched for a new device. It forund the 8350i and finished pairing. Switch from USB to BT connection and DM5 could communicate with the phone (same as the original laptop).
Went into "Media" and selected "Receive using Bluetooth" while starting a file transfer from the PC. Transfer went through without a hitch. Tried it several more times without any problems.
Back to the old laptop, I switched off the wireless devices (WiFi and BT) and installed the Jabra adapter. Paired it with the phone and tested, transfers from the PC to the phone now work.
Unplug the Jabra and re-enabled the internal BT on the laptop, file transfers fail again.
Same computer, similar BT (both Broadcom), one works and one doesn't. I'm left wondering if there isn't some remnant of the original ThinkPad BT Stack buried somewhere (registry?) that is interfering with the internal adapter.
My next step will be to install a clean copy of XP on a new HD in the "problem" laptop and see if I can get it working. If I can then that pretty much proves there is something left over or corrupt in the current OS.
i'm going to uninstall drivers from the problematic VAIO...try installing the same drivers as i have on the Acer (working) and see if this resolves anything as I think it may have something to do with the WIDCOMM...
after inspection you should have 2 bluetooth radio device drivers and 2 RIM serial port drivers (4 & 5 i believe)...last time i tried doin it and installed 4 RIM drivers...

  • Can't "Browse Device" or "Send File" via Bluetooth

    Hi,
I can't activate the "Send File" or "Browse Device" windows with any of my Bluetooth phones (N70 and T650i). I can do iSync using Bluetooth with them. I can send files from these phones to my iBook via Bluetooth. Nokia Media Transfer via Bluetooth works also. I've enabled Bluetooth Sharing (and File Sharing) in Sharing preferences.
The Bluetooth setting in the phones is such that all connections are always allowed
What's weird is when I installed Salling Clicker and when it needed to send the client program to the phone the "Send File" window appeared. This means that "Send File" is "working" (at least during Salling Clicker installation).
    Any tips?
    Thanks

It seems the Bluetooth File Exchange app can't launch from my Bluetooth menu icon. Manually launching from the Finder finally worked

  • Can't send files via bluetooth

    Hi,
I have a mac book pro with a Sony Ericson T610 connected via bluetooth.
When I try to launch the 'send a file...' in the BT menu it opens a application during half a minute then shutdowns it.
So no app to send file from my mac to my mobile.
note: I have the same kind of problem when I want to add a printer to my system. The app launch then shutdowns directly.
    Any idea?
    Thanks

Here's my sentence in the console:
2006-08-01 23:53:29.545 Bluetooth File Exchange[521] Unable to load nib file: MainMenu, exiting
(same error with the printet setup)
In the meantime: I'v made a video to show what's the issue:
    http://www.cornil.net/images/mov/prob.mov
During the video I tried several times with the 'send files..' of the BT and also tried to add a printer in the printer configurator.

  • Send file via bluetooth to windows mobile?

I just got a T-Mobile Dash (made by HTC) running Windows Mobile 5. I can pair it with my iMac G5 (OS X 10.4.10).
With Bluetooth File Exchange 1.7.14, I can send a file from the handheld to the iMac, but not from the iMac to the handheld. I get an error message saying "Device does not have the necessary services". Also, I can't get Missing Sync to work by Bluetooth (although it works fine by USB).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!!

Hello!I'm trying to set a DAQ system up to send files to a virtual server (both physical server and virtual servers running 2012 R2, Hyper-V as the hypervisor). Currently, the DAQ is able to send to a physical Server 2003 server via FileZilla server. However, that server is well beyond EoL and is being phased out. With Passive Mode disabled, I get the error "You appear to be behind a NAT router. Please configure the passive mode settings and forward a range of ports in your router." So, I've configured passive mode with the External Server IP Address as x.x.x.16 (the physical server) with the port range 20-21. Under these settings, the error goes away, but I am still unable to transfer data. The the firewall is currently off on the physical server for other reasons, but enabled on the virtual server. I believe that it needs to be...

  • Cannot download files via Bluetooth since upgrading to Yosemite

I cannot download files, E.G. photos and spreadsheets, from my Windows phone to my MacBook Pro Retina since upgrading to OS 10.10 Yosemite.
I can send files from the MacBook Pro to the Windows phone.
    Tried resetting PRAM, no luck
Tried unpairing and repairing all devices, no luck
    Tried dumping "bluetooth.plist", no luck
Tried cold start & Resart after each, no luck
Devices are paired. Bluetooth Sharing is on.
    Help!

    PROBLEM SOLVED:
Go to "System Preferences" - "Sharing" - "Bluetooth Sharing" - "Folder for selected items:", and select a folder."
    No folder is selected.
Prior to the upgrade the Folder had been set to "Downloads", so I reset it to "Downloads" and it now works.
