E52 Remove Hotmail account

when i click Menu -> messaging
i'll see new messages, inbox, google mail(my email), hotmail(not sure where they come from),
drafts, sent, outbox and reports.
how do i delete this hotmail account as i cant find them on email (Menu -> Email)
i can only find gmail there( the one i set up personally).....
i've googled arround and seems to find some people having the same problem too but there seems no satisfactory answer or solution yet.
has anyone come up on how to delete these hotmail account

You've to go in to settings-> e-mail-> highlight the mailbox-> options-> delete. If you're using Nokia Messaging you've to be online or check settings on your NM account with a PC.

Go to Settings, mail, and you should see something for hotmail at the top. when you click on it,it opens another screen that will have a delete button at the bottom. Just hit that delete button and it will remove the ability of someone looking at your email when they click the mail app.
You cant really block others from lookng at it if you allow them to use your ipad.

You need to turn off find my ipad in settings
Then restore to factory settings ipad will then be
as new then enter you Apple ID and password

Ok. So I'm using the email app, after configuring Hotmail and Gmail.
All worked ok. I could, manually, update both my boxes.
Today, as usual, I try to manually update my email boxes, but, on the Hotmail account, the option is missing.
Plus, I can't send any emails from it.
I decide to remove the account, and re-add it.
Using pop3.live.com (default port) + smtp.live.com (port 25), the Hotmail box is re-added.
But, I can't connect to it, or update it. It just stays empty, despite the fact that I actually have emails unread in the inbox. I can't send any email either.
Meanwhile, the Gmail account, works perfectly, still allowing to update, and therefore, send and receive emails.
I don't know which is the firmware that came with the phone, I just know I didn't update it.
Do the new firmwares deal with issues with the email client?
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Maybe a fix?

Why is my wife's hotmail account on her iphone draining her battery with usage and standby being the same? My iphone and hotmail does not do this.

My wife and I both have an Iphone 5 and hotmail accounts.
We are on the same wifi and I have restored and reset her phone several times, but whenever I add her hotmail account to her phone, the phone is always in use according to the usage. also the phone becomes warm as if it was in use for several hours. The standby time is only about 2-3 hours before dying. However, removing her hotmail account, stops this. What about the hotmail account is causing this?

What you're describing is the expected behaviour. I believe though that is also is the easiest way to have all the contents available to both of you at all times. If you have a spacious hard drive you should probably allow this to happen as anything else will be harder to manage.
My suggestion would be the following if you want to try something different.
Store all your music at a location that is accessible by both of you — an example would be to use your Public Folder as the locations where iTunes will go and look for all the media files—. Your wife does have access to it.
In the Finder you will need to move the folder name iTunes Music to the location in your Public Folder (see above). Once that's done, you and your wife will have to go into the iTunes Preferences > Advance Preferences and un-check Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library. From this point on, you can continue to use iTunes as usual. You'll need to tell your wife what has been newly downloaded/imported into your iTunes so she can manually go look for those items in that Public Folder iTunes of yours and import them into her iTunes. She will not duplicate by doing that, but, like I say this is an all-manual work.
She can do the same, so you have access to contents she imported herself. One more downside of this is that both usernames have to be active in your iMac. If yours isn't, she won't be able to access any item (song, book, app) located in your Public Folder's iTunes.
I'm sure there's a way, if you have an router with external hard drive conectivity, for both of you to be able to access —independently— the iTunes Media at all times but I was just reading at another post that doing so can further complicate things.

Hotmail advised me to delete all contacts and change the password for that account, which I did on my laptop running windows XP. The change was successful and I was able to send and receive emails with no problem. I then had to change the account password on my iPhone 4s, which I did and it too was successful but when I came to change the password on my iMac, running the latest version of Lion it would not recognise the new password. I have tried to remove the account details and re-install but every time I go to add new account my old details are in the box. This is very frustrating as I use my iMac for all my profects and I need to access my email. Please help.

I had already deleted all reference to the hotmail account in question from the keychain access app, I have also tried to delete and re-instal the account details from within mail. The icon in the side bar dissapears but when I go to Add Account, the old account details are in the new account box. I then input my new password but am told that the server does not recognise it. If I access hotmail via google on the iMac I can get into my account with no problems. I am thinking there must be some other form of security system within the mac software that is blocking the new password. This is driving me nuts. I have been trying to resolve this for the last two days. Thank you for your advise anyway.

Yesterday, out of the blue, I decided to click on the feature to allow Safari to remember my username and password. Now I cannot log into hotmail anymore via Safari. It just stays stuck. The URL address switches between addresses but does not fully go through anymore in hotmail.com...How can I get right of that function and go back to the way my hotmail account worked previously: to enter my username and account myself.

Thanks you for your suggestion. It made lots of sense. However, I did try it but it did not work. I am wondering, if I delete cookies, could that do the trick ? I am also wondering if I remove any of these: Bookmarks.plist, Form Values, History.plist...would it make a difference. I don't know what they are for but they are in the Library.

You can configure Hotmail to work on the iPhone. It works very well, I have had no problems with it. After upgrading to a Hotmail plus account, follow the instructions-

How do I get emails that I've already flagged (from my hotmail account) onto my mail app on my mac?

Hopefully you can help me, I have flagged some important emails on my Hotmail email account before I just recently switched to a mac. I have been using the email app for mac instead of going onto Safari and logging in that way since it's more convient BUT I've noticed that my flagged emails from my Hotmail account is not showing up on my 'Flagged' tab on the app, only the ones I've recently flagged.

That's how it works. The messages reside on the server and are read from there by your Mac and iOS device, so deleting a message means deleting it from the server, and obviously it will then disappear on your other devices. Think of it like webmail and it makes sense.
You can move the messages to a local mailbox on your Mac - just create a new mailbox, making sure that it's listed under 'On My Mac' not 'iCloud', and then you can simply drag any messages you want to archive to it. This will copy them down to your Mac and remove them from the server.

I can no longer sign in to my hotmail account on my ipad or MacBook. Hotmail works on my android. I have tried deleting and adding account. Won't add.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

My hotmail account seems to have been hacked - sending spam to all in my contacts. Although I ve been able to reset my password and can now access the account from another device, I can't from my playbook. It doesn't recognise my address/password ( old or new) and after turning the device off and on again, has lost most of my contacts. I've tried removing my email account details and re-installing to no avail. Can anyone help pls?

You said that you removed the account and then re-added it. Have you rebootd the device before re-aading the account, if you have not done so, it is then worth a try

Sending Calender Meeting Invites no longer working with Hotmail account

I think this started to fail when I upgraded to the new OS. When I create a new Calender appointment, it no longer shows up in my hotmail calender. If I invite attendees, all they get is a blank email, they no longer get a proper meeting request in their Outlook inbox.
However, if they send me a meeting invite, it is properly recognized on my blackberry.
As best I tried scouring the internet looking at various BB forums, I went into options and deleted my Hotmail email account on the phone. I set it up again and it does not fix the problem.
As far as I can tell, my hotmail account is a now typical account that has pop3 access.

EDIT: I removed the Hotmail account and added a GMail account. The GMail account workes totally fine with meeting invites. Also, after the creation of the GMail account, there is now a second inbox icon on my BB home screen. This icon is an envelope like the original one but also has a graphic of the world over-layed on top of it that resembles the Browser icon.
However.... my real problem remains... I need this to work with my Hotmail.com address.

Today I noticed that this same thing is happening to me, but with the GMail account... From the other four accounts works fine, but when the appointment is to Google Calendar, the "Atttedees" box dissapears!

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
