hello I have both N82 and N79, when I compose sms usually the most used words is not suggested for 1st.
This make me an idea/improvement: the possibility to choose what word you want the phone suggest for 1st!  so you dont have always to select your "most used words" in a 2nd or 3rd place of the "inner list".
I think will be a very useful improvement.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

There's no need for this. As the word you use most frequently is used, it climbs up the list until eventually it does become the first suggestion. You can force this to happen by entering the same word 5 or 6 times in a row.

  • How to verfiy that password dosent contain any dictionary word ?

Is there a built-in English dictionary in oracle forms 10g? Or is there any built-in functionally in oracle forms 10g that checks if the password contain any dictionary word
I am looking into implementing the following requirement in oracle forms “Password shall not contain any dictionary word”
    Thanks

"Forms" is not a database. It is a client to the db. So, when you start a form and are presented with a login dialog, you are actually connecting to the database and not necessarily to "Forms". So, what you are asking is +"how do I set the password rules for my database"+. The answer to that question will depend on exactly which db version you are using, but here is an example for db 11

  • Passwords shall not contain any dictionary word???Any suggestion?

we need to satisfy requirement tothe password:
Passwords shall not contain any dictionary word
    Any suggestions?
    TIA

I take it by dictionary word you mean a Webster style dictionary word rather than an Oracle reserved word.
The only practical way to do this is via rules such as already suggested rather than actually check the entered password against a dictionary table.
I would suggest that a numeric character within the first N characters be part of the rule. This would stop the use of a word followed by a digit such as word1.
It would not prevent the use real words as in, born2rule, but it would interrupt them and make them much harder to guess. A requirement of 2 numeric character digits or a puncuation symbol would also help.
Elimination of a couple of vowels such as 'a' and 'e' would make using real words much harder, but you do not want to limit too many characters as that could actually make hacking passwords easier.

  • Random Dictionary Word?

Hi, I'm making a Cocoa app that needs to come up with random dictionary words. I had hoped there was a Dictionary object sitting around, and I could send it an objectAtIndex: message, but it seems that's not the case. I found some command-line options that would do the trick, but I'd rather not use those if I can find a pure-Cocoa way of doing it instead.
    Thanks in advance,

What are those command-line options? Is this something you need to do thousands of times a second, or once per day?
If it is only once per day, then just do popen() or something to have the utility do the work.
If you need to do it more often or just want to do more work then
    1) Find the system dictionary file (probably /usr/share/dict/words, although there are options)
    2) Get the size of the file
    3) Seek to a random location in the file
    4) Seek to the next new line
    5) Return the word you find.

  • Dictionary word database missing?

Am using a 6210 navigator, with dictionary preinstalled under 'My Own' apps.
I recently bought a 4gb microsd to replace the 1gb one that came with my phone. however, when i fire up the dictionary app, i get the error 'dictionayr word info missing, install word database'.
i tried copying everything in the 'private' folder from my 1gb card to my new microsd, however, it still gives me the same error.
    what may be wrong?
    thanks!

Well, it seems that now I have two dictionaries in my phone, one of which is the one which you linked me too, while I have another one with a red background and the word 中 on it. That second dictionary is the one that I am unable to use... Since I guess both serve the same purpose, how do I delete the second dictionary?

  • Forget Pages Dictionary word

I mistakenly added a wrong word to Pages Dictionary and the help is not valid for OS version 10.6.8.  How can I edit the dictionary please?

For me, this whole thing started when I - mistakenly - told Pages to learn a mis-spelled word. It did, but I've since forgotten the word, so I can't type it in and tell it to forget, even if that worked. Worse, in trying to see if I could get it to forget, I taught it several really wrong words, like "suhervgdh", to try to get it to forget. I'm afraid even if you come up with a way to teach Pages to forget, my dictionary is still going to have a bunch of mis-spelled words in it, unless I can find a way to list all of it's words and go through and delete all of the 'suhervgdh's.
Any ideas? How hard would it be to delete and re-install the dictionary?

  • Match the given word with dictionary

    Hi all
    I have an issue .
I need to check the given word from the user input is a dictionary word or not.
if it is a dictionary word then i am doing some functionality.
    how can i do that?
    thanx in advance

Load a dictionary of words into a Map of some sort. Use the user's word as the key into the map - if the map returns null, then it can be assumed to not be a real word. You will probably want to provide some mechanism so that the user can populate the map with proper names and other stuff that's not in the dictionary.
To obtain a (raw text) dictionary with which to populate the Map you could look at the files in the /usr/share/dict folder on most Linux systems. If you don't have one to hand you can probably obtain and download one with a bit of Googling.

  • Missing word database in my Dictionary

I have a Nokia 6121 classic. Recently my memory card was corrupted, so I had to reformat the memory card. After reformatting the memory card, the application Dictionary coudn't work. It stated: "Dictionary word information missing. Install word database". Is there a solution to reinstall my word database?

    Hi Mathieu,
I would like to know where
you try classe Indexer() ?you find class Indexer in package com.sun.java.help.search, i.e. it is part of the JavaHelp package and can be imported with import com.sun.java.help.search.*;> have you try to exclude words ?
    no, but it can be done in the same way. Creation of a search database is invoked by the method call Indexer ixr = new Indexer();
ixr.main(args); where args is a String[] with arguments that can be used as documented in the JavaHelp User's Guide. One argument to the call can be a configuration file (and my code as shown at the link from my previous post already creates such a config file). In the config file a list of stopwords can be included too.
