Is the dual language typing on E52 possible just with T9 on?

Yes, it is possible. Go to Messaging->New message->Message->Options->Input options->Writing language
Mine is set to:
Primary writing language: English
Secondary writing language: Pilipino

Removing text typing sound from a slide

I can't remove the text typing sound from an individual slide. why not? Should I just be able to right click on the "tpying text" segment in the timeline and click delete? This doesnt' work. Bug!

Don't be so quick to assume something is a bug just because you don't know the workflow.
Typing text objects are a bit of an unusual case in Captivate because they are locked into the slide more deeply than other objects, and hence have to be dealt with somewhat differently.
Right click on the typing text layer, and select Replace with Text Animation from the context menu.
Once you've converted the typing text object to a a text animation, THEN you can delete it. You might have designed Captivate to work differently, but then you might not have thought of giving the users the option of converting typing objects to text animation.

Error in text typing

Hi everybody! I wonder if anyone has ever experienced the following issue: whenever we show text typing in our swf videos, something strange appears in the background:
Does anyone know how to solve it? We’re currently using Adobe Captivate 6.0 (Version 6.0.1.240).Thanks!

If you are referring to the vertical lines that appear between the characters, this can usually be rectified by setting your slide quality setting to High 24 bit, and by turning off Advanced Project Compression in the Preferences > Project > SWF Size and Quality section.

HIGHLIGHTING TEXT/TYPING COMMENTS ISSUES

AS USUAL THE LATEST FIREFOX UPDATE BROUGHT ON SEVERAL NEW PROBLEMS. I'M HAVING ISSUES WITH HIGHLIGHTING, CUTTING/COPYING TEXT AND ALSO TYPING IN COMMENTS ON SITES LIKE YOUTUBE THE TEXT BOX GOES WEIRD, AND THE USUAL "TYPE COMMENT HERE" MESSAGES WON'T GO AWAY, BUT WHATEVER I'M TYPING WILL BE TYPED OVER THE ALREADY EXISTING TEXT IN THE COMMENT BOX.

Try clearing the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems:
Clear the Cache:
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache):
"Clear Now"
Remove Cookies from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Firefox 33.0 lags in text typing/ selecting/ deleting & switching tabs

After an automatic update from FF 32.0.3 to FF 33.0 on 17 Oct 2014, there had been a severe browser lag. Each user action or input results in a lag lasting 1–5 secs each, making the browser very difficult & unpleasant to use.

<li>Typing Text: 1–2 secs before each letter appears</li>
<li>Highlighting Text (self-typed & web-rendered text): 2–3 secs before desired text is highlighted, & only partially (eg. For "impossible", can only highlight "imposs" or "ssible")</li>
<li>Deleting Text: 1–2 secs before each letter gets deleted</li>
<li>Switching Between Tabs: 2–5 secs for switch</li>
<li>Webpage Scrolling: 1–2 secs for each turn (for mouse wheel) or down-swipe (for touchpad)</li>
</ul>
All of the above issues occur everytime despite system restart, having only 1–2 tabs open, & even when FF is the only application running. I have not encountered the aforementioned problems in FF 32.0.3 & earlier FF versions, or in other browsers.
Other than FF being automatically updated to FF 33.0 on 17 Oct 2014, there was no other change (ie. no application install/ uninstall, no Windows update) that day or the preceding few days.
The lag disappears if FF 33.0 is run in safe mode with all add-ons disabled. But testing with add-ons disabled one by one does not isolate which add-on (if any) might be involved.

What I eventually did (a few days before reporting here after registering a user account):
Since I was unable to resolve the problem, I performed a successful system restore, but the rolled-back browser (FF 32.0.3) was unable to launch (error code: "can't load XPCOM"). Subsequently, I resorted to installing a fresh copy of FF 32.0.3.

Since 17/18 Oct 2014, I have encountered a couple of reports about similar lag issues in FF 33.0 (& possibly since FF 32.0.* for some users). The collective symptoms & feedback suggest that it is probably not add-ons causing the issue, but some newly-created incompatibility or conflict with certain (or combinations of) display/ graphics adapter(s). So far, the reported affected adapters that I have come across include the ATI Mobility Radeon HD5000 series, Intel HD Graphics, & NVIDIA GeForce.
The temporary workaround appears to be disabling the hardware acceleration option. But since this is not a long-term solution, I am holding off updating to FF 33.0 (again) or to the just-released FF 33.0.1, until this issue is officially recognized & resolved.
Note:- Some users with text/ tab lagging problems also reported slowness wrt video &/or flash pages, which I can't verify because I had not tested FF 33.0 on video/ flash pages before reinstalling FF 32.0.3. (The text, tab & scrolling lags are enough to keep me away from browsing anything but the most basic webpages.)

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

How to copy and paste a document typed in the EpicWrite (esp. a text typed in Kannada)on a Microsoft Word 2007 page?

For last one week, I have been trying in vain to copy and paste a document typed in the Epic Write on a Word 2007 format, so that I can retrieve or modify it anytime without depending on the Internet connection. Whenever, I paste on a webpage, it cannot be edited and when I transfer that on a Word page, only words & figures in English appear and the rest of the text is displayed in blank square boxes.
How I can overcome this problem?

Are that pages in Unicode?

E52 t9 typing lag

hi nokia,
i am having some problems with my e52 typing sms in t9. I have been using t9 nokia for many years and many previous models, but the e52 seems to be unable to detect my typing fast enough. I am very sure that i press the keys with a definite click but sometimes its just cant detect when i type fast.
As a business phone it is important to have very smooth and efficient typing. It is the most important function 2nd to calling.
for e52 users u can do a test in T9 typing by like entering words like 963 for YOU fast (but ensure that u get a click out of button) most of the times only two characters appear.
Is this just my e52?
I hope that u can provide a firmware update for this.

How to automatically repeat text typed in one place

I am trying to create a template, that will print off a page of very basic labels..no artwork or fancy stuff...just a name and a date...all labels identical for my girlfriends jam and pickle making ...Just jam jar labels that will be printed on sticky labels and printed out.
I have no idea what terms to each search for in the help or pages User guides... what is this called that will automatically mirror what is typed in one place in other text boxes? can it even be done?
I have the basic print setup fine to go betweent the print label borders, but I want to enter the text once, and have it automatically repeated in al the labels.
What is this called..what function am I looking ..I do not want to Copy and paste in to each text box, I just want to type in one text box and have it repeated in tall the others

Well yes, I was hoping for a magic 'Repeat Function, and sort of thougth I had used something like that before...but could nto remember what it was called.
I have been following the answers all day , but have been on and off aircraft all day and have nto been able to find time to try anything out or respond
I did try the mail merge option...but the pages documetn always had the Mail Merge option greyed out.
Eaarlier I just created the label i wanted and copied and pasted, but the Alt Option way is much easier...that combimed with teh Find Replace is the way to go i think for this
I rarely use any Office apps of any description, so every time I do...maybe once every few months, it is always a chore to remeber how to do things.

I updated my iphone4 to iOS 7 and immediately I found that whenever I typed text in emails , notes or emails the text hung. I would like to go back to iOS 6 but this seems not to be possible. Has anyone had a similar problem and how did they fix it. All suggestions appreciated.

I did not have this issue when I upgraded my iPhone 4 from iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 7.0. Perhaps if you were to make a full backup of your iPhone, then restore as factory and recover from your full backup it would help.
I will add a note that on my iPhoen 4, I do not have and facebook integration activated, althgough I think I may have Twitter integration active. I run very few apps on my iPhone 4, I use it mostly as a glorified iPod Touch since I upgraded to an iPhone 5 for my phone features. Still, I have upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 and it doesn't seem to have any problems with lag or really with battery life. If you are having battery lif issues as well, I would suggest you check for something hung. Perhaps a hung outbound email, or something else tieing up CPU cycles trying to clear something that just keeps getting an error.

Losing Text Typed Into Properties/Data/value Field

If you type within the Properties/Data/value field of a Component Label then click on the "..." for that field, you'll lose the text you just typed. I don't know how pervasive this is throughout other fields.

I'm suggesting that this should be fixed so that data isn't lost when clicking the "...". Take a look at the Properties/Appearance/style field. If you edit that field and then click on the "...", the data is at least copied into the new dialog. This editing behavior should be consistent throughout the Properties panel, if not the entire application.

How do I add text typed in a Java GUI to my database?

Using NetBeans, I've created a GUI, which has a 5 text boxes and an add/sumbit button. I've also created a database, which is on my Runtime Panel in Netbeans, and has a table with 5 columns. Once my GUI is running, I want the Add button to insert the information from each of the text boxes to the 5 columns in a row of the database. I haven't added any Event-> Action to my Add button yet.
I tried learning how to do this through the netbeans GUI JDBC tutorial, but it only showed a particular example, and didn't explain how this could be done in a differing situation. Can someone please tell me the code I'd need to access the database from the source code of my GUI?

Note that learning java and JDBC (and databases) at the same time is not a good idea.
Basically you do this.
1. Extract the values from the gui as strings
2. Open a JDBC connection.
3. Create a SQL insert statement.
4. Create a java string using 3.
5. Create a prepared statement using 4 (modifying the string appropriately)
6. Call executeUpdate (or whatever the JDBC method is called.)
7. Appropriately close the statement and connection.
8. Handle error conditions with appropriate try/catches for all of the above.
