E6 Belle & Wireless N

Hello, all.
Has anyone else esperienced having trouble connecting to a Wireless N router? I usually connect to my roommate's Netgear router on the Thinkpad that I'm using (and connected to) now, is shows this router as having two access points - one for A/G and one for N. I connect to it without problems as does he.
My E6 however, does not detect the N radio. It sees and connects to the G just fine. Has anyone else had trouble connecting to their wireless N network. I thought I saw on here last week someone having problems connecting after the Belle upgrade. My phone has always had belle on it, so I can't compare it to Anna and earlier..
peace,
cW

Hi cDubbleyoO,
Welcome to the Nokia forum!
Sometimes routers are simply not compatible with a device and can therefore not recognise or connect with the router. The fact that you can't connect can be caused by something else though, so try the following to make sure.
First, make sure you're not having any connectivity issues. Can you connect to other networks through WLAN?
If you can, try a hard reset. Make sure you make a back up with Nokia Suite first and don't tick the Settings box as this will backup the bug that's causing this. Once you've made the backup, enter *#7370# into your phone and default security code 12345, unless you've changed this code yourself.
Once the phone has rebooted, reconnect it to Nokia Suite and update or reinstall the current software to make sure you really get rid of all possible bugs (sometimes relatively new devices will need the software reinstalled, too). You can do this by clicking on the green arrow in Nokia Suite.
After you've done the above, place the backup back onto your phone and then it the phone should recognise the router in case it is compatible.
Let me know how you get on!

  • IPhone 5 on Cincinnati Bell Wireless

I just got an iPhone 5 model MD654LL/A and I'm using it on Cincinnati bell. I can only receive calls and text and I only have Internet when connected to Wifi, when I'm not connected to wifi the phone just has a E instead of the 3G. I was wondering if anyone has had this issue or has successful been able to have an iPhone 5 on Cincinnati bell wireless.

Thanks both of you guys for the help.
But what i ended up having to do is go into the Settings and then Cellular then Cellular Data Network. From there you have to type wap.gocbw.com for Cellular Data APN, MMS APN and Internet Tethering if you want this option. After doing that i then had to go to MMS and type http://mms.gocbw.com:8088/mms for MMSC then 216.68.79.202:80 for MMS Proxy and i put 307200 for MMS Max Message Size.
This works but i occisanly have to go back and retype wap.gocbw.com into those 3 spots. Hope this helps someone else and thanks again for the tips. Below is a picture of what i had to do to get the internet to work irocically at the time i had no service.

  • Has anyone switched from Cincinnati Bell Wireless successfully with their Z-10 from Cincinnati Bell ?

Has anyone switched from Cincinnati Bell Wireless & brought over their BlackBerry Z-10 to Verizon successfully ?

        Hi seabee1,
I heard some folks switching over from that carrier but winding up getting new devices. Did you port your number over to our network? If so, did we suggest getting a new device? Share some details.
    Thank You,

  • Does the macbook air work with bell wireless internet?

im thinking about buying a macbook air but i need to know if it works with bell wireless internet

My understanding is that the BWI uses an 802.11b wireless standard that is perfectly compatible with the built-in reception that the MBA has.
Is there anything that would lead you to doubt the compatibility?

  • E7 - After upgrading to belle wireless functions n...

I upgraded my E7 with Belle and to my surprise I am not able to connect to my office wireless. Now its not giving any option to configure LEAP. Please help. Dinesh

In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall, including Windows Firewall, and see if that helps.
In the router, since the last firmware upgrade, have you reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch?  If not, then please do this and see if it corrects your problem.  If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

  • How do I get the Bell Fibe Remote app to work through my AirPort Extreme?

We have Bell Fibe internet and TV through their modem which is then connected to our AirPort Extreme.  During the set up I didn't have to change my existing home network but now the Bell Fibe Remote app on my 5s phone or iPad mini says my Bell wireless receivers are not on the same network.... Any ideas how to work around this?

Hmm. The Sagemcom is a ADSL modem, the Cellpipe is a combination ADSL modem & wired router, and the Motorola is a Wireless Access Point. It looks like they set up the Sagemcom to be your main modem and use the Cellpipe as your Internet router. Note: I am guessing that they disabled the modem feature of the Cellpipe. Finally they added the Motorola to provide you with a wireless network.
Since your AirPort Extreme is, by default, an Internet router, it would have to be reconfigured as a bridge, as I mentioned earlier, for your network to work properly.

I believe when a VPN tunnel is setup there should be one Child sa per subnet. The internal network of 10.65.1.0/24 should be setup with a child sa to the networks that were specified above depending on if there is traffic destined for them. What I am seeing is multiple child sa setup for the same subnet like the example below:
    GARPR-COM1-WF01# sh crypto ikev2 sa | i 172.19
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
              remote selector 172.19.0.0/0 - 172.19.255.255/65535
where for destination network 10.92.0.0/16 there is only one child sa:
    GARPR-COM1-WF01# sh crypto ikev2 sa | i 10.92
              remote selector 10.92.0.0/0 - 10.92.255.255/6553
Should this be the case or does anyone have any idea why there is multiple child sa setup for the same subnet?
    Thanks
    Jonathan

I have a problem - I can't seem to get access to my Netgear NAS attached by network cable to the AE base station. I can't even seem to find it on Finder. Got my whole life on the NAS now I can't access it!
    Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    Terence

Does that work the other way? I have a 'Bell' wireless router that creates my home wireless network. I'm trying to use my Airport Extreme to 'extend' my wireless network into the basement, and plugging my desktop Mac comp. into that with Ethernet.
Are there lots of complications when trying to use an Extreme with other router brands?

  • Back up and update keeps freezing!!

This is so frustrating! I tried to update my Bold 9900 this morning and it just froze at the back up. So I tried to just back up my phone first but it keeps freezing at "Backing up Smart Card Options 1 of 1 Record" and it won't carry on. What am I to do? I'm having major problems with the battery and all sorts, my last blackberry was as good as gold, this one is just awful!!

I'm having the exact same issue. At first I thought it was my new Torch 9860, but after reading this I suspect it's something in the Desktop Software. It does the same thing whether backing up to update or doing a stand-alone backup: it gets to "Database: Smart Card Options 1 of 1 Record" and hangs.
This is really bad because I haven't been able to get a good backup since I switched to my Torch!

  • Mac Mail and Blackberry

Apple Snow Leopard 10.6.1. On a Mac Mail (which is connected to my gmail account) as soon as I'm starting typing e-mail in Mac Mail my Blackberry is receiving that partial message. That is happening even without pressing SEND key. Blackberry is constantly receiving that message (when I typed this message it received partial message 35 times) and a few times even I'm not touching any keys on computer keyboard. This message is showing only on Blackberry and nowhere else. Talk to Apple, my Bell-wireless provider and Blackberry. Nobody new what is going on. Never this happened under OS X Leopard. Only with new OS X Snow Leopard. Do not know what to do. Please help.

    try the following
go to mail > preferences > account > select the account and go to mailbox behaviors> uncheck "store draft messages on the server"
I thinks is working, i have not tried it a lot, but i sent and email today, and i didn't get anything to my bb
edit to say: tell me if it works?

  • IPhone 5 A1428 Wil Work AWS Carriers such vtr in Chile

I have a question. Will iPhone 5 (A1428) Will Work on USA (T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell Wireless), Canada (WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Videotron), Chile (VTR, Nextel)?.
I especially interested on vtr carrier in Chile, the don't have offcialy iPhone 5, but I used two iPhone4 sice last year, vtr has a AWS network and a roaming service with Movistar (GSM), my iPhone is from Entel (GSM).
If I buy an iPhone in Chile (Movistar, Claro, Entel) I think, I will buy A1429. If I bought throught Apples Store I'll receive A1428, I want to know if it will work on vtr's AWS network.

Look at the specs page for the iPhone and see if it supports the appropriate network.
Keep in mind that warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin.
If the iPhone is available in your country, buy it there.
You cannot purchase an iPhone from any country's store and have it shipped outside that country.  In other words, if you buy the iPhone from the US online store, you must have a US billing and shipping address.
The A1428 is only sold in North America.

  • Selling my BB 8120, What precautions should I take

Is it safe to leave your Sim card in the phone when selling it?
This BB is from the CBW  Cincinnati Bell Wireless network.
Will it work on other networks?
    Thanks in advance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Pete
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

No, remove the SIM card. Keep it or trash it. You could have some contacts saved on it or whatever, but it is not needed by the new owner regardless.
    1. Before selling, ask your carrier CBW to remove the device PIN from your BIS account. Without doing this, it will not be usable to another user.
    2. Do a backup of your old device using Desktop Manager. You never know when you might need that data.
    3. Do a wipe on the device at Options > Security > General Settings > Wipe Handheld.

  • Wireless problems after Belle update on E7

I updated my Anna to belle today morning, everything used to work perfect, but now the wireless is not working, it says it is connected but no send and receive from my wireless connection, I restarted and re-entered the access point again but no luck, also I re-installed the OS Belle again also it gave me the same result. But it is working on 3G.
Is it a bug from the Belle OS. Or I didn't enter the configuration well?

    yvonne,
I don't know if it helps, but I posted some of my connection related problems in another thread:
